Choices, Choices: Right to Self-Defense or Right to Fry Your Brain?

Andrew Sacks of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Medical Marijuana and Hemp Law Committee is annoyed that Pennsylvania will deny gun rights to people who sign up to get medical marijuana for a list of health conditions:

“You can be an opioid addict, or buy a bottle of rum, drink it and go to a store and buy one,” Sacks said. “But a person who is registered as a medical marijuana patient in Pennsylvania, and has a very small dosage of THC, can’t own a gun to protect themselves or hunt.”

This isn’t fair to people with legitimate medical issues, but it does symbolize a fork in the road the whole country is coming to. You can find your rights in the Constitution and be able to defend yourself, or you can accept what freedoms contemporary bureaucrats pass out and rot into a helpless zombie.

California has made its decision; laws effective with the new year further restrict firearms, and legalize marijuana for recreational use.

Given two choices on anything, California always chooses the worst one.

You can shoot straighter on weed than whiskey, I guarantee it. Anyway why should they set any restrictions on gun rights that don’t have to do with violent behavior or proven lack of self-control (same thing)?

California’s getting big use out of their gun confiscation unit with the medical pot registry…

Actually, I think Governor Moonbeam had it before Obama was born.

    Absolutely correct, Brian.

Potheads who were getting high last year suddenly feel like celebrating their new privilege of paying tax on getting high. Why do you think they call it dope?

The war on drugs is a waste of Time and money, obviously we learned nothing from prohibition. I’ve been smoking weed for 25 years and Where ever I go there is weed. I’ve been to about 40 states, Canada about 15 Times , and most of Europe. I have never had a issue getting weed and I barely try. I don’t look on the street for it, just seems a lot more people smoke then admit to it. Unlike someone who is drunk you can have a full conversation with someone Who is high and not even know it.
