Germany Cracks Down on Social Media Thought Crime

We fought two world wars, yet German authoritarianism is still with us:

Germany is set to start enforcing a law that demands social media sites move quickly to remove hate speech, fake news and illegal material.

Sites that do not remove “obviously illegal” posts could face fines of up to 50m euro (£44.3m).

Fifty million euros = $60,150,000.

The law gives the networks 24 hours to act after they have been told about law-breaking material.

It is not hard to break the law by expressing your opinion in Germany. Already the new law has been used to censor Beatrix von Storch of the rising Alternative for Germany party. She was blocked from Twitter after tweeting an outraged response to the Cologne police issuing a New Year’s greeting in Arabic:

“What the hell is happening in this country? Why is an official police site tweeting in Arabic? Do you think it is to appease the barbaric, gang-raping hordes of Muslim men?” wrote Beatrix von Storch, the deputy leader of the AfD’s parliamentary group.

The tweet was later deleted after Twitter froze von Storch’s account and informed her she had violated hate speech rules. Her account was shut down for 12 hours. The Cologne police said on Monday that they had filed a criminal complaint against von Storch for hate speech.

Too bad the Cologne police aren’t this aggressive when it comes to the mobs of Islamic welfare colonists who gave us the term “Colognization” by sexually assaulting German women in public — most infamously on New Year’s Eve in Cologne 2 years ago.

Von Storch has also been censored on Facebook.

This attack on free speech could spread:

Many have called for such government intervention in the United States, citing online “bullies” and the effect that hate speech has had on the political landscape over the last decade.

That is how we will lose our liberties: in the name of fighting “hate.” By now most are aware that “hate” can be defined as speech leftists hate to hear.

On tips from J, Bodhisattva, Mr. Freemarket, and Dragon’s Lair.

There is a tremendous difference with this Orwellianism compared to the Third Reich and WWI propaganda – the previous instances of media suppression did not seek to enforce the destruction of the German people.

There are stirrings of what has been inflicted on Ethnic Germans, now those stirrings must be suppressed at all costs until the the afflictions have been finalized.

Do you think it is to appease the barbaric, gang-raping hordes of Muslim men?

As long as they all keep voting for Merkel (aka the far-left), then the answer is obviously yes.

    Censorship is back in Vogue.

Yep. That about sums it up. Innocent native born citizens who commit NO crime are censored & penalized while the Hordes of Invading muslim Filth are coddled & petted while given everything to ease their poor widdle lives on a silver platter. Most times they don’t find what they’re given to be good enough so they slap the silver platter out of the hands of the IDIOT, FAR LEFT Moonbats handing it to them as they’re bowing & scraping before their new mudswine overlords!!!!!

One of those volunteer greeters was raped and murdered by one of the guests.

Yes!! I have this posted at home next to my computer. Perfectly says it all.

The EU – which is actually the Fourth Reich – got so sick and tired of waiting for Nazism to kick off again that they decided to import a crop of Nazis from the Middle East. These “refugees” will join or be conscripted in the new EU army to attack Poland again.

Governments have the idea that if they tie down the safety valve on a boiler, nothing will happen. They gleefully block all dissenting opinions and then one day they find a mob outside their door with pitchforks and they wonder what went wrong. You cannot block opinions you don’t like and expect nothing to happen.

OTOH, it’s probably a good thing that it’s happening in Europe first. Forewarned is forearmed. Antitrust action against Twitter and Facebook and Google will be much easier in the US as we see that the EU is using those those monopolistic entities to enforce its desired end-state of an Orwellian dystopia.
