Emotional Support Hamster Gets Burial at Sea

The days of flying menageries of “support animals” could be coming to an end:

Missing a flight can be quite a hassle for your average passenger, but for Pebbles – an emotional support dwarf hamster owned by Belen Aldecosea – it was downright deadly.

Aldecosea flushed Pebbles down an airport toilet after her pet was denied passage on a Spirit Airlines flight on 21 November and she could not figure out any other way to get home to south Florida. The 21-year-old college student said that she had been assured in advance that the hamster could travel with her and said that an airline employee advised her to either flush the animal or let it loose outside.

She chose the former. That’s the thanks Pebbles gets for providing emotional support to a neurotic moonbat. But what could it expect? They do something similar even to their own babies.

Following the hamster’s demise, Aldecosea “sat there for a good 10 minutes crying in the stall.”

The airline denies it suggested killing the hamster. Nonetheless, something smells like a lawsuit — although it could be that the hamster clogged the toilet.

On tips from Varla and Lyle.

Feel sorry for Pebbles. Poor guy.

P.S. If ever there was a time for a Millennial to have some spine and just sneak the hamster onto the plane, it was this. TSA and the big airline didn’t mind, just some stupid gate bureaucrat whom the airline now disavows.

We’re living in Nerf world. In the adult world hamsters serve one purpose, to introduce your children to the reality of death…

I need an emotional support raccoon, don;t mind him as he is clawing your face off. And ignore the rabies.

P.P.S. This was a World War II story (probably iffy) to illustrate how heartless the SS were (puppies then) but a modern, progressive-raised Millennial has actually done it submitting to petty authority. Think about what Moonbattery has done to us in that.

  • JeffersonSpinningInGrave

It’s not Pebbles fault that the owner is crazy.

  • JeffersonSpinningInGrave

Not that I care enough to follow up the story, but until I hear otherwise I’m assuming the girl is crazy and it never happened. The fact that she travels with an “emotional support” hamster is proof enough. At the very most, I’m guessing an employee was blowing her off when she demanded to know what to do with the animal. “I don’t know, flush it?” as in “not my problem, fruitcake, you’re holding up the line.”

Where could she hide it? Oh, geez!!! I think I know!!!

  • Dennis Skea

The wrong one got flushed. And who names their girl child “Belen”?

Emotional support pitbull– dislikes anyone progressive, un-patriotic or just plain annoying (more like a jackass-deterring animal).

  • Luna

Such a sad story and only for the Hamster as it must of been a horrible death .
Who knows what actually happened here , if the Airline told the twenty one year old to do this and if so she did not have to do it .

Naw… handbag, it’s small enough (and as a “service animal” per the FAA’s regs, the bag wouldn’t even be required)

  • Anonymous

Either it’s BS or she’s ill enough to have done it.

  • andrewwest2003

Hey, Where is PETA when you need ’em? I would have expected that they would want to see this nutcase charged with animal cruelty.

Who speaks for Pebbles in this cruel world?

  • Occam’s Stubble

We ain’t talkin’ about Richard Gere, man.

I am so overdosed on ‘privileged’ people and their fictional support animals getting on planes and other places. You can buy ID’s and jackets for just about any animal on eBay saying whatever you want. It’s overdue to arrest these fakes and snuff the animals.

Do you think I can fly if I tell’em my Browning Hi-Power 9mm is my emotional support pet ? I really can’t go anywhere without it.

The owner is the only one here who committed a crime, an act of indecency, and an act of inhumanity. How does she get away with playing the victim?

Anything less than a .357 Magnum isn’t enough gun for self defense.

  • Frank

Hey “Louise,” why do all you ignorant scammers write precisely the same way?

  • Kevcar

Leave the animals alone, it’s the idiots that are the problem.

  • DM

My “support” animal is a 150lb GD puppy who in turn needs his support companion (120lb GD) who can’t sleep without her newly acquired kitten so we need special accommodations. Let the other passengers deal with their own fears. Soon air travel will be like flying with Barnum & Bailey Circus.
