Farrakhan, Obama Exploit Martin Shooting to Sow Racial Discord

The Community Organizer in Chief has weighed in on the absurdly but predictably hyped Trayvon Martin shooting. Like his fellow Chicago radical Louis Farrakhan (who won a lifetime achievement award from Obama’s church of 20 years), he is exploiting the tragedy to hype racial discord.

First Loony Louie:

“Where there is no justice, there will be no peace. Soon the law of retaliation may very well be applied,” Farrakhan wrote, including the hashtag #Trayvon to clarify the subject of his angst.

Farrakhan gave his followers another hard push in a following tweet:

“Think. Reflect. Then get up and do something for self or suffer the consequences.”

In short, he called for more of the violence against Caucasians that has been rampant even if unreported.

Farrakhan’s spin is echoed by Obama:

“You know, if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon. All of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves.”

It’s all about race, not about someone running around a gated community in a hoodie appearing to be a criminal. The shooter George Zimmerman is Hispanic, but since he’s the villain in this spectacle, the media obediently characterizes him as a “white Hispanic.”

The only way they can “fundamentally transform” America, i.e., destroy it, is by turning us against each other — not whites against blacks because there aren’t that many blacks, but rather those of us who are still sane against those who buy into anti-white liberal ideology.

Meanwhile, the Allen Coon case continues to be rigorously ignored. If you’ve never heard of Allen Coon, he’s the 13-year-old boy who was doused with gasoline and set on fire on his own front porch in Kansas City explicitly for being white, after his black teacher encouraged the other kids to pick on him for that same reason. Since Allen Coon’s story reflects the general situation rather than the liberal agenda, it is ignored while we are fed man bites dog tales like the Trayvon Martin shooting instead.

Attention Moonbattery readers from Florida: take the time to call your state representatives and let them know that, as a conservative voter, you stand with Stand Your Ground. Let them know that a weakening of Stand Your Ground is an automatic disqualifier for your vote.

  • StanInTexas

    No Justice, No Peace???

So the answer to violence is MORE VIOLENCE???

Not surprising coming from the group that bases it’s very existance on the premise that you combat racial discrimination by instituting racial discrimination.

Whitey (the Jew) has taken everything from the Black Man, hate is all he has left you see. Every slight, even the mere presence of a whitey (a Jew) is an injustice to the black national socialists. The death of Trayvon Skittles validates it. Coon deserved to be burned alive, he was white (Jew).

Interesting times. Are you ready to defend yourself?

  • Mattius Maximus

    @Hail The Amberlamps!: Yes.

The problem in this entire situation is that, now that Farrakhan & Sharpton & Obama have weighed in, nothing short of arrest and conviction of Zimmerman will be tolerated. Facts are no longer important in the matter.

If the investigation turns out that Martin was the aggressor and Zimmerman did acxt in self-defense, the riots that will occur will make the LA/Rodney King rioys look like an afternoon picnic.

  • Mont

I find it funny that it’s automatically assumed that the police aren’t filing charges because the shooter is white. This story would be getting so much non-interest if the shooter were black and the police weren’t pressing charges.

  • AC

If the investigation turns out that Martin was the aggressor and Zimmerman did acxt in self-defense, the riots that will occur will make the LA/Rodney King rioys look like an afternoon picnic.

Blacks should stop killing blacks,it would reduce the black murdered rate by around NINETY FOUR PERCENT.

Where are the protests from sharpton, jackson, naacp etc… about black on black murder (blacks are eight times more likely to be killed by a black than a white?
Why do we only see those race baitn’poverty pimps when a white person kills a black… especially seeing that blacks kill blacks way way way more often than whites do.SLdrudge.

Silly liberals LOVE crap like this. It gives them a chance to use their soapboxes. And I’m curious how this Spanish-speaking Mexican has a German/Jewish name… father? Grandfather? This isn’t a white on black thing – it is a Mexican on black thing. But leave it to a stinking liberal to ignore that tidbit and blame “whitey”. Liberals are such dipshits.

  • StanInTexas

Martin’s parents said the police chief’s action wasn’t enough, and that Zimmerman should be taken into custody.
“We want an arrest, we want a conviction and we want him sentenced for the murder of my son,” Martin’s father, Tracy, said to the fiery crowd of protesters at Fort Mellon Park.

I sincerely hope I will stay safe. I doubt the goblins can make it into the main house, but this reminds me that I need to pick up some door reinforcements and window film for the detached pool cabana/rec room, in case social justice requires that my tools, golf clubs, furniture, or pinball machines be liberated by the poor, downtrodden looters.

I’m not sure how flammable the landscaping might be if they start setting fires. Will bushes go up if attacked by a rioting arsonist?

Damn this race hustlers for sowing discord like this. The 1992 LA Riots were a disgrace which should never be repeated.

  • Jodie

I am so sick of all this “victim” mentality! The Muslims, the social justice blacks, liberal women – you name it – they jump on a story before the facts are in and immediately call for the lynching of someone. Yet the truth is that THEY beat, torture, and kill others on a daily basis – and on a much, much grander scale.

None of this surprises me though. Their father is well known for playing the victim card. Lucifer has been whining for years because God kicked him out of Heaven. Poor little thing…all he did was mock, taunt and blaspheme God and His Son. Then he told everyone that he could do a much better job than God and that they should follow him instead.

In the big picture, it’s really all the same spirit.

  • Fiberal

(I was writing this for the Open Thread but Blount beat me to it)

The Tyvon Martin matter has created an opportunity to see what a racist country we have. This is not to say who was right or wrong bc we don’t know.

The larger point is that racists are always standing by ready and willing to rise up and be racists. There’s pay-off for this.

And Martin represents a big pay-off day.

Race is the first response. Tyvon Martin’s death is automatically assumed to be racially-motivated bc he was black and Zimmerman was white (no wait, Hispanic – I dunno, the MSM has intentionally confused that part…Was he Jewish? Ah. Even better).

The outcry about Martin is pure racism fomented and fueled by BO’s racial divisiveness and class warfare.

Racism has been inappropriately enabled by his MSM.

Ask yourself, if God forbid, a loved one of yours was killed in an altercation –by mistake or not.

Would the country come to your aid? Would there be marches, protests and celebrity speakers ready to drop everything and come out to ask for vengeance for your loss?

Would there be a DOJ investigation?

Would there be mass spam mailings, millions of twitters and organizations everywhere lining up to voice their concerns and recruit people to get out and demonstrate?

Would all these people have made an absolute presumption of guilt for your loved one’s attacker?

Of course not. You would be alone with your family in your grief. As is the Strait family now. They are white, Nancy’s murderer was black.

Race is the only thing that can mobilize this much righteous indignation in this pathetic country that liberals have so witlessly ruined.

We live in a country characterized by race and racism, but where the only racists are white.

The circumstances of Martin’s death meet all the criteria for the racist, ignorant liberal faction in our society and their MSM enablers.

Of course no one would come to your aid. There is a formula for that. And it is not a moral one. There are no issues of right and wrong for a racist. The issues are all about race.

Unless your loved one fitted the right racial profile and could be sold as a barefoot, bashful boy skipping in the meadow but all the while being hunted down by a merciless white racist, you would be SOL.

Your profile must also contain a perfect reason to go after the Castle Doctrine, the “Stand Your Ground” law and defensive hand guns and take down some white devils along the way.

This is way bigger than Rodney King. It’s possible that people are going to be killed bc of this. And if that happens, there will be no national outcry.

    No DOJ investigation.

Victims must be the right Victims.

As I’ve said in the past, dividing the American people is an impeachable offense under the Constitution. That has happened under BO’s watch to a greater extent than has ever been realized. He is directly responsible for the renewed zest in the racism as a consequence of his racist pandering to blacks. And by vilifying the “wealthy who don’t pay their fair share” he has fed the fires even more.

To insert himself into this by saying that Tyvon would look like my son…(insert racist joke)…is implying, “sympathize with me and my race.”
    .

Resolving any of these issues will not happen by going after Zimmerman. The first thing is to get the Racist-in-Chief out of office.

As for Mr. Zimmerman (the as-yet-to-be-accused alleged perpetrator), don’t worry. Just because the PRESIDENT gets on TV and all but accuses you of murder, that doesn’t mean you won’t get a fair trial or have the presumption of innocence until proven guilty! Ok moonbattery regulars, let’s see what one of your favorites, Allen West has to say:

I have sat back and allowed myself time to assess the current episode revealing itself in Sanford Florida…

I have sat back and allowed myself time to assess the current episode revealing itself in Sanford, Florida involving the shooting of 17-year-old Treyvon Martin. First of all, if all that has been reported is accurate, the Sanford Police Chief should be relieved of his duties due to what appears to be a mishandling of this shooting in its early stages. The US Navy SEALS identified Osama Bin Laden within hours, while this young man laid on a morgue slab for three days. The shooter, Mr Zimmerman, should have been held in custody and certainly should not be walking free, still having a concealed weapons carry permit. From my reading, it seems this young man was pursued and there was no probable cause to engage him, certainly not pursue and shoot him….against the direction of the 911 responder. Let’s all be appalled at this instance not because of race, but because a young American man has lost his life, seemingly, for no reason. I have signed a letter supporting a DOJ investigation. I am not heading to Sanford to shout and scream, because we need the responsible entities and agencies to handle this situation from this point without media bias or undue political influences. This is an outrage.

  • Bob Roberts

The shooter George Zimmerman is Hispanic, but since he’s the villain in this spectacle, the media obediently characterizes him as a “white Hispanic.

Aha, you’re only a “person of color” until it’s convenient to call you a white!

I got news for you – white is a color too!

As for lao’s comment, there is still no good explanation of what Martin was up to. Certainly many of us are not happy that this ended the way it did – but what was this kid doing lurking where he obviously did not belong? What was his intent? And why did he attack Zimmerman?

    Does that count?

When he claims there was “no probable cause to engage [Martin]“, West ignores eyewitness and other solid evidence that Martin attacked Zimmerman. Martin’s behavior and actions might be explained by use of drugs and/or criminal intent so yes, I agree with West that we need a fair, complete investigation by RESPONSIBLE ENTITIES (this pretty much excludes the DOJ and Eric Holder) and this does need to be handled without undue influence of POLITICIANS (like West, as well as others), the media, and the “usual suspects” (assorted “Reverends” and other known racists like “Looney Louie”).

    Will we get that?

    Unlikely.

Not if lying lunatic loser liberal moonbats like lao have anything to say about it!

  • StanInTexas

And here is the money quote from West, Lao…

I am not heading to Sanford to shout and scream, because we need the responsible entities and agencies to handle this situation from this point without media bias or undue political influences.

West will let the investigation take place and will abide by the results. The rest of the race WHORES are demanding arrest and conviction prior to the facts.

  • StanInTexas

Bob Roberts, several years ago in Texas, crime statistics were put out by race, and the overwhelming number of “racially motivated” crimes were supposedly commited by White people.

But in a review of the data, it was noted that there were no race-based crimes committed by Hispanics. As it turns out, the people that did the study listed Hispanics as Hispanics when they were the victim of a crime, but listed Hispanics as WHITE when they perpetrated the crime.

Sounds very much like what is happening in this case.

  • Hail The Amberlamps!

I do not agree with Allen West. Honestly never got excited about anything he’s said other than poking the CBC in the eye. He’s just another politician. Unlike commie idiots, I don’t worship politicians.

Zimmerman only hope of staying alive to be tried is to have a weapon, carry permit, body armor, police protection and staying out of gladiator school (jail, prison).

He’s been targeted. His life is in danger from here on.

  • IslandLifer

Lao can’t see past the monkey riots. He always has his blinders on and focuses on a non-issue. Who cares what West says? Where are his comments when all the white folks are preyed upon by these savages? Use your peripheral and smell the coffee. This is about the animals making a huge deal out of one case and I guarantee they could give 2 shits about that boy. They are using him to ramp up their true cause.

  • SeaFoamGreen

Hey Lao, you racist fuck-face, here is a news flash for you:

    ALLEN WEST ISN’T THE PRESIDENT.

He, or Jesse Jackson or Farakhan or you can comment all you like.

BARACK OBAMA IS UNFORTUNATELY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Big difference. Also, West’s comments are measured and make sense. There IS something askew with not even detaining Martin. I can tell you if I discharge a weapon here in CA, I’m going into custody until all the facts are gathered.

So Lao, SHUT THE FUCK UP…or when the race war starts, don’t count on surviving. I’m pretty sure you ain’t black, and that’s the only currency that will matter to the mob.

  • Bob Roberts

Zimmerman: Spanish-speaking minority with many black family members and friends

Not so white after all, it turns out.

So, basically, those calling for his head & blood are RACIST!

“He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever …,” the letter says. “The media portrayal of George as a racist could not be further from the truth.” “At no time did George follow or confront Mr. Martin. When the true details of the event became public, and I hope that will be soon,” the letter said, “everyone should be outraged by the treatment of George Zimmerman in the media.”

Keep talking, lao. We love to see you chow down on both feet, legs and thighs!

Speaking of lao and his thighs!

Anyway, back to THE FACTS, the one witness who seemed at first to contradict Zimmerman later wound up swearing out a statement that supports him instead:

Sanford police on Thursday also challenged a WFTV-Channel 9 report, in which Mary Cutcher said police largely ignored her even though she told them, “I know this was not self-defense. There was no punching, no hitting going on at the time, no wrestling.”

Police said they twice tried to interview her without success, and the third time, she wrote a very short sworn statement for her roommate that was consistent with Zimmerman’s account.

  • SeaFoamGreen

Island, however, is just as bad as Lao. EXACTLY as bad. “Monkey riots”? You fucking asshole, you WANT to get a race war started, just as bad as Lao or Obama.

Fuck you. You are exactly what I’ve said you are, a fucking quisling provocateur.

  • VH

Funny how people want to disregard the fact that Zimmerman was warned not to confront the deceased and disregarded the advice given by the 9-11 dispatcher

  • Bob Roberts

THE USUAL SUSPECTS stoke the flames of racism for personal gain.

Left-wing radio host Joe Madison — known as the “Black Eagle” — spoke about how he thinks the shooting of Martin is a sign of overt racism. “In America, we are culturally conditioned to believe that white is superior, black is inferior,” Madison said. “The manifestation of that cultural valuing is that black people are undervalued, underestimated and marginalized.”
    ————–
The only people claiming whites are superior, blacks are inferior, are people like Madison.

If they would stop saying it the idea would die, finally.

Look, though, at the ridiculous things lefty lunatic moonbats say:

“And, let me say something to these Republican candidates, if I might,” Madison added with a hint of animosity in his tone. “Don’t you ever, ever say again that there aren’t any role models in America.”

For those on the far right who have difficulty understanding the importance of context.

Full transcript of Obama’s remarks on Treyvon Martin:

Question: Mr. President, may I ask you about this current case in Florida, very controversial, allegations of lingering racism within our society — the so-called do not — I’m sorry — Stand Your Ground law and the justice in that? Can you comment on the Trayvon Martin case, sir?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I’m the head of the executive branch, and the Attorney General reports to me so I’ve got to be careful about my statements to make sure that we’re not impairing any investigation that’s taking place right now.

But obviously, this is a tragedy. I can only imagine what these parents are going through. And when I think about this boy, I think about my own kids. And I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this, and that everybody pulls together — federal, state and local — to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened.

So I’m glad that not only is the Justice Department looking into it, I understand now that the governor of the state of Florida has formed a task force to investigate what’s taking place. I think all of us have to do some soul searching to figure out how does something like this happen. And that means that examine the laws and the context for what happened, as well as the specifics of the incident.

But my main message is to the parents of Trayvon Martin. If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon. And I think they are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves, and that we’re going to get to the bottom of exactly what happened.

Seafoam I don’t need you or anybody else telling me what I should or shouldn’t say. I’ll put it on record for ya here. I don’t like monkeys, wetbacks, ragheads, or micronesians. Oh ya put Flips str8 off the boat on that list too. Now that being said there are exceptions to every race as I’ve previously stated that I have friends of each one of those nationalities. Hell, I even hates me some crackers! Racist! No I am beyond racist. I judge a culture as they present themselves. And what is presented here is a mob of blacks acting like monkeys. Have you ever watched a nature channel? Identical! So go on and call me racist and tell me to STFU cause you’re wasting your time foamy. Get back on your medication before you have a coronary.

Posted by Bloodless Coup, in another thread, here.:

Case in point, did you know that Barack Obama’s white ancestors were slave owners?

Did you know that Barack Obama’s black ancestors were from Kenya and have never been held as slaves in America?

Do you think that Barack Obama should be punished or made to feel responsible because his ancestors owned and presumably oppressed black people?

Do you think that Barack Obama is entitled to reparations for slavery when his ancestors were never the victims of it?

[my add: Do you think Obama should have to PAY reparations since his family, and, arguably, Obama as well, clearly made out because of their slave ownership?]

Let’s suppose your great, great, grandfather committed a crime.

Do you think you should have to go to jail for it?

  • Bob Roberts

    @ IslandLifer

You have the same right to express yourself however you choose that we all do.

You choose, obviously, to express yourself in ways that some will find offensive and that suggest you’re claims are not quite fully in like with your actions.

In any case, perhaps since you’ve chosen to express yourself in ways you know will cause some to get excited, you should not in turn get as excited as your last posts suggests you did when it happens.

I don’t personally see any upside to your choice of referring to blacks as “monkeys” nor does it make sense for you to deliberately choose what are clearly considered to be racist/bigoted terms to address various racial/ethnic groups, but you do have a right to use them if you must.

One thing I do think you might consider – flagrant use of such language might tend to make you unwelcome here. You are outside the norm, well outside, when you do that.

I’m outside the norm in my own ways, objectionable to at least one (lao) for it, though a few others have whined about my posts (length, number, etc.) before too – not as consistently or pathetically as lao, but yes, others have complained at times I was particularly post prolific.

Rather than tell you that “you can’t” speak or post like that, let me suggest you really should reconsider and choose not to from here on out. Plus I’d be interested in why you claim:

“I don’t like monkeys, wetbacks, ragheads, or micronesians. Oh ya put Flips str8 off the boat on that list too.”

What is it about these groups that make you automatically dislike them before being properly introduced and given a chance to interact? Is that a wise way to live? And how do you square that with your suggestion that there are some members of some or all of those groups that you DO like? If you dislike them automatically, how do you ever wind up liking them? Whatever method you use might be useful to introduce to the whole middle east nonsense – maybe it will work for them, too!

Lao, was my question @12:25 too confusing for you?

  • ant

Stan, you are exactly right on the white/hispanic, victim/perp subject. Not only has a former FBI agent writtena book on the subject, but I’ve seen, with my own eyes, illegal alien Hispanic perps categorized as white on police reports. This same agent, also went on to point out many other disparities…again, refering to the fact that Caucasians are categorized as the majority perpetrators of ‘hate crime’. Just based on demographics alone, most white women ‘should’ be victims of rape committed by white men, but instead the majority of rapes and violence on white women are committed by blacks and hispanics (being around 16% pop., this wouldn’t occur in a random demographic manner, it is deliberate race-based targeting of white female victims.) Gee, who’da thought? Same holds for black women, again, population wise, most of these rapes against black women SHOULD be committed by white men…but they are not.

  • IslandLifer

Bob, I’ll be happy to answer that question for you. And I’ve never complained about you posting or anybody else. You see I respect everyone who posts here and I may not agree with what they say or how they say it but I respect them because they are honest, true, don’t mask their feelings, nor are they politically correct. This I respect. I do have my reasons for not liking those groups of people and if you ask Dave for my email address then shoot my one and I will break it down for you rather than eat up space here because it’s a very long story and I have very good reasoning for feeling the way I do. I don’t just pull shit out of my ass. As far as befriending people of those backgrounds it was done on a person by person basis. Like I said, there are good in all those races just as there are bad in the others I didn’t mention. But I judge them on a whole. And my black, brown, white, and yellow friends know exactly how I feel and they understand where I come from. Not like some here like Seafoam. Like I said, I say it how it is. If some find it offensive I really don’t care.

  • Fiberal

When you don’t have all the answers, you do what any investigator does: look at the profile and make a judgement call based on the probabilities.

    Young teen-age black:

30% of young teen-age blacks are involved in the judicial system. 32% can expect to spend time in a federal prison.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_crime_in_the_United_States

Young black men are extremely violent. If you are black male between the ages of 12 and 19, you have an 80% probability of being assaulted by a black teenager.
    http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/2784895?uid=3739936&uid=2129&uid=2&uid=70&uid=4&uid=3739256&sid=55939959383a

Black males ages 15-19 die from homicide at 46 times the rate of white males their age.
    http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db37.htm

Violence is down among whites of all ages and both genders; it’s up among black males, not black females.
    http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-201_162-4164941.html

The number of black murder perpetrators was 43% in 2009.
    http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/growing-violence-young-black-males-demands-action-article-1.420318

Other factors not kept well in statistical tables include crimes of opportunity- committed largely by young blacks.

Prowling -many young black males prowl. They are generally looking for property to steal and/or are window peeking.

Young black men are usually over-confident. This is part of what gets so many of them into trouble. You don’t commit crimes unless you think you can get away with them.

Over-confidence is enabled by a constant focus by authorities and “role models” on self-esteem.

Black males are often time overly defensive and quick to attack others they perceive as impugning them or not offering respect.

Young black males are often associated with gangs and have a pattern of looking for and engaging in fights.

Black males of all ages experiment frequently with or use chronically, drugs and alcohol.

    .
Overall, these factors suggest a high probability for a tremendously unstable personality. These factors would not be dismissed by law enforcement investigators in any case, including that of Martin …at least up till now.

But with Martin falling square within this profile and having little or no other information about the circumstances of the shooting, and with Zimmerman on his home turf, it seems highly likely that Martin had a big responsibility in controlling the events leading up to his death.

Lao thanks for posting West’s response. You’re still a wantwit, pedestrian level troll though (this site deserves better).

I live in Florida and carry a gun when I deem necessary. I am very pleased at the way my state handles violent criminals, CCW and most gun laws. That being said, this case has nothing to do with The “stand your ground law”. That was written to strengthen the citizens case in the event of a self defense shooting, where our old law states,” safely flee” In the real world, a victim rarely has that luxury, they might be lucky enough to see it coming, much less act. A lot of innocent people had to take plea bargains rather than face life sentences for murder, or manslaughter.

I am going to reserve judgment on this case we until the evidence is shown. Personally , I would have never put myself in that kind of situation. That kid could have beat on my hood with a tire iron and I would have just drove off. In the Gravest Extreme only.

My city is in the grips of race hustlers looking for retaliatory “racial justice” instead of a calm and collected inquiry under the law which maintains the constitutional presumption of innocence.

Instead of spending an afternoon chipping balls onto a practice green, I spent it ordering new doors and window film because of racist assholes who don’t care if they cause a repeat of the 1992 LA Riots by jumping to conclusions, misreporting facts, attacking other groups based on nothing more than skin color, and fueling an atmosphere of group division and racial hatred.

Thanks for the support. Don’t be too worried about my physical safety; the only way anything would happen to me is if I was out when the situation flashed over. I’m keeping a close eye on what’s going on, and if it starts to get ugly, I’ll just stay home. If things get hairy, you’ll hear it on the news, and in that case, if I don’t post, I’m probably having friends over who don’t want to stay in their own homes.

Here’s a promo video from the company which did my home’s doors. The windows on the main house are hurricane/tornado/ballistic rated. The house was constructed to survive whatever weather Florida can throw at it. Unless the goblins are carrying around oxy torches or C4, they won’t be getting in. About the worst they can do is torch the landscaping or burglarize the outbuilding.

If things get ugly, I’ll be on Moonbattery denouncing the racists who stirred up the violence.

I am worried about some of my friends and business associates. Most of them are sheeple. If things get ugly I’ll invite them over for a riot party. I should probably offer to loan out some ARs and Glocks.

This will probably all blow over without widespread violence, but a committed prepper doesn’t count on probably.

Thanks for the concern, everyone. You too, lao.

  • IslandLifer

And they have nothing to do with this. I was called a racist and if you read back I mentioned who I disliked. And trust me, they are very different over here. Wait, you can’t ask her cause she died too. Not an isolated incident.

  • lao

Just to clarify, I learned about the many other 911 calls that Zimmerman made thanks to a comment by Gingrich.

“I think Americans can recognize that while this is a tragedy — and it is a tragedy — that we’re going to relentlessly seek justice, and I think that’s the right thing to do,” Gingrich told CNN’s Piers Morgan, expressing confidence in the ability of the local district attorney to handle the case.

“I’m sure he’s going to present the evidence, not just the 911 call but the previous 911 calls and the fact that the police have been dealing with this guy, apparently, for a year. I have faith that the American system of justice will in fact work, and this is why you have a balance between the police and the district attorney.”

  • Bob Roberts

lao says: March 23, 2012 at 3:00 pm
    ————
Again, lao, have you actually HEARD even one of the 911 calls, from start to finish, ever?

I’m guessing the answer is NO.

And you’re still ignoring WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED THIS TIME and trying to muddy the waters by going to things that are COMPLETELY UNRELATED.

I don’t care how many other calls there were. I don’t care what was said on them. They have NOTHING to do with what happened in this incident. No sane court would allow past 911 calls in and expect the issue not to be raised on appeal.

So, bringing you back to reality, let’s recap THE FACTS in hopes that you won’t keep going off on tangent flights of fancy.

Evidence strongly suggests that Martin attacked Zimmerman and he only fired in self-defense.

That evidence was so strong that Zimmerman was not arrested nor was he detained.

That suggests the evidence is more than just strong, but rather, it’s OVERWHELMING.

That won’t satisfy racists, like you, who are howling for blood.

But, as we’ve pointed out, the shooter was NOT WHITE, he was a PERSON OF COLOR, so what’s the issue? Under Obama and Holder, PERSONS OF COLOR GET A FREE PASS, A GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD.

    So what’s the problem?

  • lao

bobby, you can prattle about FACTS all you like.

Fortunately, other people will actually be deciding the issue.

  • IslandLifer

AC, I know where you’re coming from on this. I’ll put it very straight forward. We don’t have that many blacks here. The majority of the crimes are done by the Flips or Micros. The equivalent. Just ask Jimbo about Waipahu. That and the ice heads that plague Waianae but lots of Hawaiians there. My island, it’s the Flips and Micros. And you should see how they beat their woman. Just like they beat their dogs.

  • FrankW

My only real complaint about bammy’s statement is the lack of a statement to Coon’s family or to johnatha’s classmates or for that matter the missing calls to Bachman, Sarah and Bristol Palin and the lack of concern when applied to vics that do not meet obvious political stereotypes. If he is going to issue soothing words concerning justice he needs to be color-blind. Not just the rest of us peons. He seems to cherry-pick the incidents.
That Martin died is surely not a good thing, but until all of the facts are weighed I will forgo judgement of Zimmerman.
But now that the same doj that blew off the obvious racism of the nbpp case is on the job I do not believe any verdict except guilty can be found for Zimmerman, regardless of facts.

I just have to share this.

A friend of mine (white) was murdered by his Filipino wife who apparently hired someone in her family to shoot him point blank in the Phillipines while he was visiting a sick child (her niece, if I recall) in the hospital. My friend was about to divorce her and she wanted life insurance money.

Rather fantastically, it was discovered that a similar fate befell her first husband several years previously in a similar fashion – in the Phillipines while she was in the US.

But that wasn’t all, a couple of years later, she was gunned down in the foyer of her home by her Filipino nephew who is now in prison.

I don’t relate this as some sort of representation of Filipinos in general, but there are some evil Filipinos too. It’s quite a bizarre story too.

Just moved from Sanford back in Dec. Of course it can be rather deceptive the distance and size of Sanford. The Twin Lakes community is a pretty nice area built in the last decade within 1/2 mile of the mall. I have several friends who live there and nearby. Haven’t heard anything from them about this. I would presume it’s kind of just another weekend incident that would normally go unnoticed but for the national news blowing it out of proportion.

It’s probably not unlike many places you all know very well.

  • TrickleUpPolitics

I predict that Zimmerman will be charged and convicted in federal court of violating Trayvon’s civil rights instead of homicide. This is just like the Rodney King case. The state case was dismissed, so the feds prosecuted the cops on civil rights violations.

  • AC

TUP is probably right. Good luck to everyone in the Orlando MSA between the first no bill / acquittal and the conviction in Holder’s kangaroo court.

  • Eric

You have to consider that Zimmerman is not an actual paid police officer. He was a Citizen On Patrol(COP), or maybe even a neighborhood watch volunteer. As a private citizen, he is not subject to some restrictions which might apply to an actual paid policeman.

His carrying a weapon while on patrol, or acting in his capacity as a “COP” may be a sticking point in his defense, as they are not supposed to be armed.

Since Trayvon Martin’s killing approx. 3 weeks ago, over 300 black males have been murdered nationwide. All but a handful were murdered by black males. In the past year, over 4500 black males have been murdered, almost all by other black males. But black on black crime is of no concern to Sharpton and Jackson’s owners. They hate blacks, but love having the house negroes around to keep their democratic party plantations in order! You don’t always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve, especially when you vote for democraps!

  • AC

He was a private citizen with a valid concealed weapons permit. He had the right to carry a gun whether he’s shopping at the supermarket or driving around his neighborhood.

  • Festivus

Good questions Frank. Probably under the guise of a civil rights violation as TUP suggests. It also helps that Florida is a swing state in an election year.

  • AC

Yeah, they’ll frame it as a civil rights issue just as they did with the four officers who arrested Rodney King.

The Fourteenth Amendment does give Congress the power to pass legislation enforcing civil rights laws against states.

Since we don’t follow the Constitution anymore, federal legislators have empowered federal bureaucrats to levy civil rights charges against private citizens for intrastate crimes.

The whole procedure is distasteful and should be held unconstitutional.

I am very bothered by the violation of the spirit of the double jeopardy clause. Government should not be changing venue and holding a do-over if it doesn’t like the result of the first trial. Statists will claim the practice is legal due to charges being brought by different levels of government, however this is a technical distinction, not something the founders considered applicable to fundamental rights. The right to be free from double jeopardy was designed to prevent do-overs in kangaroo courts called specifically when the government disagrees with the result of the constitutionally mandated jury.

The British used to haul colonists before admiralty courts if the authorities disagreed with the outcome of a colonial court.

  • Festivus

The founders didn’t contemplate the feds bringing charges in a local case like this. It’s not double jeopardy because it’s an altogether different charge (i.e., violation of the Civil Rights Act).

I think they’ll have a difficult time proving the case on a Civil Rights charge but there will be tremendous pressure brought to bear to see it through unless the local prosecutor takes the case (the prosecutor will be pressured to file, as well).

  • AC

It’s double jeopardy in spirit. The purpose of the double jeopardy clause was to protect citizens against a heavy-handed government trying them until the government got the result it wanted.

Our fundamental rights should not be subject to technicalities. The notion of a fundamental right is something which the government is charged to uphold because it’s the right thing to do, not something to be subverted because it suits the interests of the politicians in power.

  • Festivus

I hear ya, AC, but these kinds of Civil Rights charges were designed to uphold justice when the local governments wouldn’t or couldn’t (jury nullification) get the job done.

Those days are pretty much gone, of course, but the feds (Holder’s DOJ in particular) will use any means necessary to invoke their version of social justice or at least hold it over the heads of people in order to score political points. That’s really what’s going on in this case.

  • AC

There’s other ways to handle that short of creating a loophole large enough to steer the USS Nimitz through.

The founders believed it was better to let ten guilty men go free than to punish one innocent man for a crime which he did not commit. That is the spirit we should be upholding. Better to live free among a slightly elevated goblin population than to share a cell with another innocent man under a police state.

  • Joe Casepack

Another insidious side to this Trayvon shooting is the media’s attempt to continually portray Trayvon as an actual child. No pics showing him to be more than 12 yrs old or so are on any of the media outlets.

Why not use the one his facebook page linked to?
It shows a young man with a gold front tooth(candy or fistfight? Must be the candy as he doesn’t fight according to the latest AP article) and is a pic Trayvon himself used to represent himself.

I was under the impression that there had to be and underlying criminal case in order to bring in civil rights cases. Law enforcement officers have usually six gradual levels for the use of force, beginning with the first level known as “officer presence”. An officer’s uniform, insignia, and belt with tools are all part of level one use of force – officer presence. The last level is known as deadly force.

Law enforcement officers go through rigorous training and qualification courses, every six months, to certify or recertify their capacity to execute their authority.

A law enforcement officer would be subject to severe backlash for shooting an unarmed individual, when considering the various use of force levels they would have to use before relying on the last level – deadly force.

A wanna be cop shooting an unarmed kid, whether he was a punk or not, does not justify using deadly force. It appears Mr. Zimmerman may have been a vigilante out looking for trouble. He found it in the worst way possible.

It would be in our best interest to distance ourselves from Mr. Zimmerman. What he did was neither heroic or justifiable, IMPO.

But this is an isolated incident. The unbalanced outrage over this is also unjustified. There are countless crimes committed everyday that do not get close to the same covergae by the media, or are denounced by our so-called leaders, both spiritual and political. This whole thing is a dog and pony show. It is only creating further division in our country which is probably what HE wants anyway.

An eyewitness reports Trayvon knocking Zimmerman to the ground and continuing his assault on top of Zimmerman.

Zimmerman’s attorney reports Zimmerman’s nose was broken and his face was bloodied by the assault.

We won’t know what Zimmerman reported hearing said by Trayvon until the grand jury is through.

From here, though, the whole incident smells of aggravated assault.

Even though Mr. Zimmerman apparently disregarded the “orders” of the dispatcher, it should be pointed out that the dispatcher was not on the scene and thus had no real idea of what was going on.
