Compliments of Cons.Underground.

Let me be clear: Our Dear Leader Comrade Chairman Barack Obama chargeth and commandeth all persons, being assembled, immediately to enrage themselves, and aggressively to depart from their habitations, on to their unlawful business, upon the pains contained in the decree made in the fourth year after He saved us from the Bush Administration, for inciting racial tumults and riotous assemblies. Marx Save the Chairman!

NEWS FLASH: Current TV didn’t fail. They’re still on the air. YOU FAILED, both on MSNBC and now on Current TV!
Wow, how bad to you have to be to get booted off Al Gore’s channel?
Remember Bobbie Rusch, the Congressman from Chicago that got booted off the floor of the House for wearing a hoodie and violating House dress code rules by doing so?
His district got a bit busy: 13 shot, 2 dead in Chicago in six hours Thursday night
The worst shooting occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday when two men in hooded sweatshirts opened fire inside a convenience store in the 1400 block of West 79th Street in the Gresham neighborhood, police said.
One man was killed and five others were wounded. The victims ranged in age from 16 to 24.
You won’t hear the President, Sharpton or Jackson making a fuss about this. The hoodie-wearin’ gunmen were “colored”.
This would be funny if it weren’t stupid. The left is always trying, through easily proven bogus research, to show that conservatives are not as smart as liberals. This ranks right up there with all the studies that showed that humans had usurped nature and now were the primary drivers of weather, temperature and climate that the liberals bitterly cling to as well as the studies that proved sexual deviates were “born that way” and “coudln’t help it”.
Basically the one TRUE conclusion one can draw from studies like this is that anyone foolish enough to believe or publish them has serious brain power issues to contend with and shouldn’t be allowed around sharp objects when unsupervised.
Mr. Blount, in this one link alone, well through the assoicated links given there, I bet there’s at least 3 or 4 threads worth of really good stuff:
1: According to a recent Gallup poll, 40 percent of Americans describe themselves as conservative, while only 21 percent call themselves liberal. (Another 35 percent are self-identified moderates.)
This gap has long puzzled scholars. If left and right ideologies comprise a mutually dependent yin-yang system, reflecting different approaches to meeting our most basic needs, shouldn’t they be held by roughly the same proportion of people?
ANSWER: NO! Even if we throw out the “consensus” argument liberals flock to when they’ve got nothing else, the simple fact is that perhaps in this case the reason more people consider themselves to be conservative is because it really is the smartest thing to do!
Here’s a hint for you liberals – why don’t you stop appealing to your narcissism to explain it and just apply Occam’s Razor?
2: One possible explanation is that some “conservatives” wear the label quite loosely.
ANSWER: No “looser” than liberals wear that label. I mean, one minute you’re calling them “bitter clingers” then the next claiming they’re hearts really aren’t in it? Come on people! Make up your minds! Which is it?
3: Another points to the long-established link between right-wing attitudes and a tendency to perceive the world as threatening.
ANSWER: Yeah, right, that’s why the conservatives are all wearing hoodies, screaming about racial profiling and demanding street justice for Martin against Zimmerman right now. I guess conservatives are imagining all the hateful rhetoric the usual suspects, INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT, are engaging in daily now.
4: In an era where the latest scare is constantly being hyped on television and the Internet, it stands to reason that conservatism would dominate.
Funny though that the ones doing the hyping of all the scares, chief among these the dire need to “stop climate change” before it burns the planet to a cinder, ARE THE LIBERALS!
5: Newly published research proposes a somewhat different, and quite provocative, answer.
A research team led by University of Arkansas psychologist Scott Eidelman argues that conservatism — which the researchers identify as “an emphasis on personal responsibility, acceptance of hierarchy, and a preference for the status quo” — may be our default ideology.
ANSWER: While the lunatic liberals go on to say: “If we don’t have the time or energy to give a matter sufficient thought, we tend to accept the conservative argument.” As usual, they’ve got it backwards. Usually the liberals default to emotional arguments and tactics – evidence the whole Martin-Zimmerman fiasco currently ongoing. Same with the whole “war on women” nonsense and really any other liberal argument. I wonder, can lao give me ANY liberal issue they haven’t turned into a huge scare fest?
The more simple, reasonable, believable answer is simply that the smartest move is the conservative move and so that’s why more people gravitate towards it. It doesn’t take having the IQ of a rocket scientist or brain surgeon to figure that out.
Or does it?
And here is the funny thing. Look what the liberals said:
“When effortful, deliberate responding is disrupted or disengaged, thought processes become quick and efficient,” the researchers write in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. “These conditions promote conservative ideology.”
So apparently even liberals know, though they can’t quite seem to comprehend, that when you choose conservative, you do so because your thought processes become, IN THEIR OWN WORDS, “efficient”.
6: “The bad news for liberals is we’re saying that conservatism has a certain psychological advantage,” Eidelman said. “The bad news for conservatives is that someone who has a knee-jerk conservative reaction may change their mind about an issue after giving it more thought.”
ANSWER: Actually, it appears they conserve there is no “bad news” for conservatives. Because only liberals make and count on “knee-jerk” reactions. Conservatives preach, almost until it’s a drone, that you need to really study matters then think them through logically. It’s the liberals who use emotion and try to get you to elicit a “knee-jerk” reaction!
7: Of course, it’s an open question as to what percentage of the population genuinely ponders political issues, rather than simply going with their initial instincts. This suggests liberals face a significant challenge in converting people to their cause.
As Eidelman puts it: “It might take a little extra effort to convince yourself (to support a liberal position), and a little extra work to convince others.”
ANSWER: In my experience, in EVERY case (think cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc. for starters) when something takes effort to “get used to”, “a little extra effort to convince yourself”, it’s something you really should NOT do. Call it conscience, call it what you like, but if you essentially have to convince or pressure yourself, that’s a sign you shouldn’t, perhaps!
About the only study that seemed to have credibility was the one that pointed out the link between liberalism and mental illness. That one was a solid piece of scientific work that was well supported by copious evidence.
Best of all, the methodology was to ask the liberals themselves, not make the decision for them or conclude it about them. It’s a fact – you can look it up: Liberals tend, more than moderates and conservatives, to self-identify as having mental issues.

I’m going to do this lao style and let the press do my speculating for me so I can disavow it.
Which only proves what a coward lao is…
How well can Supreme Court votes be predicted by what justices say in oral arguments? The statistics hold up pretty well, and offer gloomy tidings for the Obama administration and its healthcare law.
As with so many things in life, researchers actually have studied the question. Their finding backs up a long-standing intuition of lawyers and experienced journalists alike: If a justice keeps interrupting you with questions, your side is in trouble.
Several studies have looked at the question, including one by USC law professor Lee Epstein, William M. Landes of the University of Chicago and Judge Richard A. Posner of the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, based on statistical analysis of Supreme Court oral arguments from 2004 through 2007.
Their conclusion: “The number of questions and the total words in question … provide a reasonable predictor of most Justices’ votes”…
The statistics illustrate the stark divide on the court — the four Democratic appointees, Justices Elena Kagan, Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg — all aimed their comments at Clement and Carvin by a heavy margin. Three of the five Republican appointees, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Samuel Alito and Antonin Scalia, were equally one-sided, aiming the overwhelming majority of their comments at Verrilli.
Kennedy was somewhat less skewed, but was far closer to the conservative side, with comments to Verrilli outnumbering those to Clement and Carvin by a 2-1 margin.
So, as we expected, their behavior shows that the four liberal justices were always in the tank for obamacare even though, based on some of what they said, I had hoped they would give this a fair and reasonable hearing followed by careful and unbiased deliberations.
Liberals OK when they get support for their side, fume when the other side gets support. Oh this is so unbelievably ridiculous: Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) is accusing Scalia of being a judicial activist! For asking appropriate questions!
QUOTE: Nelson was taken aback by Scalia’s suggestion that reading the law was too much to expect of justices ruling on its constitutionality.
Oh, I see. While it WAS too much to expect the Congress or public to be able to read it before it was passed, it’s NOT too much to expect the justices to read it before they repeal it!
Actually, Nelson doesn’t know what he’s talking about:
QUOTE: “You really want us to go through these 2,700 pages?” he quipped. “Is this not totally unrealistic, that we are going to go through this enormous bill item by item and decide each one?”
The issue was NOT reading the bill. The issue was that the Democrats seem to expect the Judges to award themselves a LINE ITEM VETO power.
Clearly that would be unconstitutional and would probably be used as a pretext against them.
The justices are relatively certain to do the right thing – send the whole mess back to Congress and tell them “do it right this time”. No secret meetings with one party locked out. No “We have to pass it before we see what’s in it.” And no unconstitutional requirement for people to buy things because the government says so.
Democrats are not inclined to give Scalia any slack because they think his mind is closed against the healthcare law and his judgment clouded by partisan politics.
Yeah, and the four liberal justices are open minded and not influenced by partisan politics in any way. Uh-huh! There is nothing that indicates either a closed mind or patisan politics in ANYTHING Scalia said. However, he was perhaps jabbing directly at Nelson by referring to the “Cornhusker Kickback” since it was his baby and it is likely a big part of why he’s retiring even though it got canned before obamacare was rushed through Congress and rammed down our throats.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said striking down the healthcare law would have enormous implications that should be taken very seriously.
“This could take down Social Security, too,” she said.
So Feinstein is admitting Social Security is in trouble?
“You would think after Bush v. Gore… the court would be more sensitive to the perception that it’s politicized. Scalia seems unaware. He said some things that sounded like they came from a Republican spokesman,” the aide said in reference to the 2000 decision awarding the presidency to George W. Bush…
Note they’re still repeating the fiction Bush was “selected, not elected”. The court case did NOT “award” Bush anything. The court case stopped the obvious attempts by the Democrats to steal the election with the obvious aid of the corrupt Florida Supreme Court.
AND THE BELLY LAUGHS KEEP COMING:
Obama thinks Verrilli did a ‘terrific job’
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that any sentence that starts with “Obama thinks” ends with the most ridiculous nonsense you’ve ever heard?
I mean, COME ON PEOPLE! Obama thinks the Solicitor General did a good job? REALLY? At one point he broke completely down and Ginsberg had to step in and start making his arguments for him! I mean, seriously, it’s almost as if Obama had the Solicitor General and the liberal justices get together and have a strategy meeting prior to the hearings! Yeah, I said it, AND I MEANT IT!
WTF is this?

While Limbaugh’s detractors are still pushing an advertising boycott, he has started speaking of the effort as a failure.
“The opposition has been consistently dishonest in what they say about me,” Limbaugh told The Daily Beast. “So it’s no surprise they would be dishonest in their impact on my business.” Limbaugh told listeners this week that “our ratings are up anywhere from 10 percent to 60 percent, depending on the station,” and that “the advertisers who hung in here are going gangbusters, yes…The only ones who got hurt are the ones who left. And that’s its own tragedy because they left under false, trumped up pretenses.”
NOTE TO LAO: The stock market ANTICIPATES things. I’m guessing, admittedly, that this jump is related to A) The complete defeat of obamacare B) Anticipating significant Republican gains in 2012 now that Obama’s “signature” achievement is going down in flames.
Well yeah, if people like you keep saying it perhaps we will start to believe it – SO STOP! Talk radio host calls for Sharpton to be arrested and removed from MSNBC for his remarks clearly meant to inflame racial tensions and lead to race riots and a race war.

The only thing Noonan got wrong? He used the word “becoming”. Many of us said this from the start – More and more people are just finally opening their eyes to the truth, is all.
QUOTE: Obama increasingly comes across as devious and dishonest.
Something’s happening to President Obama’s relationship with those who are inclined not to like his policies. They are now inclined not to like him. His supporters would say, “Nothing new there,” but actually I think there is. I’m referring to the broad, stable, nonradical, non-birther right. Among them the level of dislike for the president has ratcheted up sharply the past few months.
It’s not due to the election, and it’s not because the Republican candidates are so compelling and making such brilliant cases against him. That, actually, isn’t happening.
What is happening is that the president is coming across more and more as a trimmer, as an operator who’s not operating in good faith. This is hardening positions and leading to increased political bitterness. And it’s his fault, too. As an increase in polarization is a bad thing, it’s a big fault.
The shift started on Jan. 20, with the mandate that agencies of the Catholic Church would have to provide birth-control services the church finds morally repugnant. The public reaction? “You’re kidding me. That’s not just bad judgment and a lack of civic tact, it’s not even constitutional!” Faced with the blowback, the president offered a so-called accommodation that even its supporters recognized as devious. Not ill-advised, devious. Then his operatives flooded the airwaves with dishonest—not wrongheaded, dishonest—charges that those who defend the church’s religious liberties are trying to take away your contraceptives.
Events of just the past 10 days have contributed to the shift. There was the open-mic conversation with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in which Mr. Obama pleaded for “space” and said he will have “more flexibility” in his negotiations once the election is over and those pesky voters have done their thing. On tape it looked so bush-league, so faux-sophisticated. When he knew he’d been caught, the president tried to laugh it off by comically covering a mic in a following meeting. It was all so . . . creepy.
Yep, it’s been a CATASTROPHIC day/week/month/year for lao, Obama and their ilk.
And seeing how lao is too intellectually bankrupt to make any predictions, here’s one I’ll make and see if he can maybe come up with one in response:
Nobama 2012. And he can take a whole bunch of Democrats in both houses of Congress with him when he goes!

Where do these guys come off calling themselves “Rev.” when EVERYTHING THEY SAY AND DO PROVES OTHERWISE?
I have something interesting to say about the Obama Administration and their despicable outing of Israel’s apparent agreement with certain countries that border Iran, but out of an abundance of caution, I’m going to just bide my time and maybe talk about it later. When I do, I’ll refer back to this post for reasons that will become obvious.
You know, at some point if I link too much at POWERLINE one or maybe two things will happen.

STAY HERE, but also, take a minute AFTER you come here to check out Powerline because they really have great stuff there, too.
Like these stories (and when I say, “PUNCH LINE” I mean it in the sense of “punching above one’s weight”):
Obama administration is leaking information to the media in order to avert an Israeli strike in Iran. PUNCH LINE: The leaks could also be an extension of what Charles Krauthammer dubs Obama’s “flexibility” doctrine. After the election, Obama will have greater latitude to sell Israel out rather than simply undermine it.

I’m sick and tired of our nonsensical border security. I don’t want these killers in my city.
Before they come up with their nonsense, they should read the DOCUMENTED accounts of the police, Zimmerman and the eyewitness. They keep going after Zimmerman and it keeps backfiring:
Funeral Director: No Sign of Struggle on Trayvon’s Body
“We could see no physical signs like there had been a scuffle.”
That’s because the physical evidence, the account of Zimmerman, the account of the eyewitness and the accounts of the officers all agree: THERE WAS NO SCUFFLE.
Martin launched a vicious, unprovoked, sneak attack against Zimmerman. There was no struggle, it was all one sided. Martin knocked Zimmerman down in a way that stunned him and prevented him from attacking back. Martin then proceeded to attempt to murder him by slamming his head against the ground. Zimmerman, in justified fear of his life due to Martin’s stated intent to kill him, on the ground and at the mercy of this vicious self-admitted thug, had no choice but to draw and fire his weapon to end the attack. The fact he fired a fatal shot was more luck than planning.
Of course there are no signs of a struggle on Martin – Zimmerman wasn’t struggling, he was moments away from being viciously, senselessly murdered and he did what he had to in order to stop Martin from succeeding. Bullets don’t create “signs of a struggle”.

As Eidelman puts it: “It might take a little extra effort to convince yourself (to support a liberal position), and a little extra work to convince others.”
To convince yourself or anyone else that any liberal principle is something more than an outright lie, you have to do a lot of tap-dancing.
Or be as deranged as most liberals to begin with.
Kari Norgaard looks in mirror, mistakes self for climate change realist. Catastrophic Anthropogenic Climate Change Alarmists are so predictable. The science proves them solidly wrong so their only hope to salvage their cherished and completely wrong ideas is to attack those who’ve stumbled on the truth.
Fear of climate change and indeed the belief that humans have usurped the forces of nature, which are orders of magnitude greater than anything humans are capable of doing, are forms of mental illness. Put simply, you have to be CRAZY to think that humans are now controlling weather, temperature and climate. Don’t get me wrong – I’m a terraforming advocate. I look forward to the day we can begin to do that sort of thing because, if we do ever achieve the goal of being able to change planets on an industrial scale, we will be able to go to Venus and live there. Perhaps Mars as well. Though both are iffy: Venus is too close to the sun and Mars is too small with a dead core. Still, I’ll believe we can control the weather, temperature and climate when we do it on one, the other, or both of THOSE planets.
Or when I see actual evidence that suggests we’ve begun to do it here. So far there is NO evidence to suggest that despite the left’s best efforts to manufacture some over the past 30 years.
Liberal justice admits to not having read obamacare law before voting to save it. “We’re just going to have to assist in foisting it on the American people before we find out what’s in it or if it’s actually Constitutional”.
It is indeed shocking to see who the left have put in charge of us and to hear their opinions:
When the health-care bill was being considered in Congress, then-House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers mocked the idea that legislators needed to actually read the health-care bill before they voted on it—or that they would understand the bill if they did read it.
“I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill,’” Conyers said in a July 24, 2009 speech at the National Press Club.
“What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?” said Conyers.
In a speech delivered March 9, 2010, twelve days before the House passed the health-care legislation, then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”

Nice that lao has taken a break, apparently. Or is he just on newer threads now? I’m trying to think of situations or events where the knee-jerk reaction is the conservative one, and the thoughtful position, after significant pondering, is the liberal position.
1. Unarmed teenager is attacked and killed by neighborhood watch captain. More information, research, and consideration lead to the “liberal” conclusion that Zimmerman’s broken nose, cuts on the back of his head, grass stains on his sweater, and the reports of eye witnesses are justification for protests about Martin not getting justice, and threats that if law enforcement doesn’t do the right think, that right-thinking liberals will?
2. That Keystone pipeline sound great, but after significant pondering, that oil should be sent to China instead, allowing us to continue to rely upon the Middle East, Veneswala, and putting more air in our tires?
I’m still working on it.
