Andrew Cuomo Unilaterally Letting Felons Vote

If it’s that easy to help your party to votes, you have to wonder why New York Governor Andrew Cuomo didn’t do it long ago. He just issued an executive order letting felons vote while on parole:

Republicans immediately slammed the move as bad public policy and potentially illegal, since Cuomo chose to circumvent the Legislature.

To hell with the legislature. Not letting felons vote is racist!

Cuomo said the voting prohibition disproportionately impacts minorities, noting that nearly three-fourths of those currently on parole in New York are black or Latino.

That’s because minorities are vastly more likely to commit crimes. Uncoincidentally, they are also vastly more likely to vote for Democrats. Criminals and the Democrat Party share a common mission: to use force to expropriate wealth from those who create it.

Cuomo’s move could net up to 35,000 votes for the Dems. This was a good move, providing he doesn’t mind positioning himself as a dictator ruling on behalf of sociopaths — and that never bothered him before.

On a tip from Bodhisattva.
