Antifa Thugs Complain That Their Violence Is Portrayed as Violence

Presumably the media is still sympathetic to Antifa, which it was only recently lauding as heroes. But public relations realities in the wake of recent violence are forcing journalists to step back a little — and even to tell the public some truth. Antifa goons are not pleased:

Antifa leaders held a press conference on Monday to complain about the media leading their coverage of Sunday’s violent riots at Berkeley “with the bleeding stuff.”

“It is not always about the violence,” Antifa leader Alex U. Inn said, “and that’s why we’re here asking you as media representation to not focus on that all the time.”

Antifa is violence. That is its whole point, which is why these thugs show up with weapons where they think they can find conservatives to assault. If it were not for the violence they inflict and provoke, no one would be aware of Antifa.

“I’m not justifying it, I’m human naturing it,” Inn said. “In the sense that if somebody is in your face and going ‘nin nin nin’ and because they think they can because they’re privileged… we cannot take this lightly in San Francisco.”

She wouldn’t justify violence. But she would point out that opponents who have been dehumanized with the meaningless term “privileged” deserve violence.

Videos from the event on Sunday showed antifa mobs attacking right-wingers with sticks, mace and bottles of their own urine. Antifa were also seen spitting all over an innocent Trump supporter after attacking him with mace and stealing his Trump hat and glasses.

No doubt he was privileged.

At least Alex U. Inn. can rest assured that CNN will probably still revise its headlines on Antifa’s command.

Alex U. Inn human naturing political violence.

  1. In other words, don’t think of it as violence. Think of it as a compassionate correction of misguided beliefs and political views.

“…in your face and going ‘nin nin nin”?

Really, this qualifies as a spokesman let alone a valid excuse!? Like anarchists from the 3rd grade…

Going to eventually come down to their “human natureing” being met with some “extremely high speed anti antifa pellets” being doled out when they “outreach” the wrong target.

Red Guard, Komsomol, Hitler Youth, Antifa. All the same. Nasty little sh-ts.

There’s a video of some Antifa creeps attacking a veteran in his wheelchair, stealing his bottle of water and pouring it on him. But, it’s not about the violence!

Ya like Joey Gibson was a white supremacist. SF pols just as scummy as media.

I love it when the left parses words.

“Media commentary has forced me to understand our collective [mis]definition of violence as we constantly grapple with “well-reasoned” responses to far-right politics and urgently reinscribe the state’s monopoly on legitimate forms of force to undermine the legitimacy of self-defense. Community members were implored to stay away from the spaces where fascistic forces assemble, while the media actively normalizes their politics by positioning functionally genocidal politics as “controversial” albeit legitimate opinions within a robust marketplace of ideas. Violence is the state’s white supremacist militarization, like Urban Shield, in the name of “community safety”; it is my constant articulation that, as a black anarchist and member of the left more broadly, ****my defense of self and community (and other communities) in the face of existential threats, is not “violence.” Antifa (anti-fascism), a coalescence of left politics in resistance to fascist creepings, is not violence because this kind of community self-defense cannot be violent.”****

  20. cieran58 says:

Violence is their whole rationale for existing—it’s why they show up with weapons looking for people to beat- (if no “fascists” can be found, popcorn vendors or reporters will do) it’s why they are always masked, to hopefully conceal their identity from law enforcement so they cannot be held responsible for the assaults and vandalism committed every time they appear.
