Atheist Calls for Eradication of Christianity

Al Stefanelli, Georgia State Director of American Atheists, Inc. — the same outfit that has been raising a stink about a cross at Ground Zero — helpfully explains why it’s okay for militantly devout atheists to be such bigots. When they use our leftist courts to suppress Christianity, they are only being intolerant of intolerance:

Intolerance toward beliefs and doctrines that serve only to promote hatred, bigotry and discrimination should be lauded, as should extremist points of view toward the eradication of these beliefs and doctrines.

The reference is to Christians and their antithesis Muslims, whom he bizarrely expects us not to distinguish from each other.

It should come as no surprise that the individuals who abide by fundamentalist Christian and radical Islamic doctrines would be the first to cry out that they are being persecuted when their dangerous, damaging and disingenuous beliefs come under attack. Most of these people lack the maturity and intelligence to act in a socially acceptable manner. Many of them are sociopaths and quite a good number of them are psychopaths. All of them are clearly delusional.

Speaking of clearly delusional,

The fact is that fundamentalist Christians and radical Muslims are not interested in coexisting or getting along. They have no desire for peace. They do not want to sit down with us in diplomatic efforts to iron out our differences and come to an agreement on developing an integrated society.

They want us to die.

Their interpretation of the Bible and Koran are such that there is no other course of action but to kill the infidel, and if anyone believes otherwise they are only fooling themselves.

Muslims want us die, obviously. Evidence that Christianity is in any way similar to their satanic cult is not provided. The sophistry of lumping them together is childish even by atheist standards. It’s as if Stefanelli thinks he can convince us that water is dry by naming it next to dust.

As if to confirm that we are not dealing with a grownup, Stefanelli then accuses a list of conservatives he dislikes — Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, et al. — of being “imbicillic” (sic).

Finally, with a bang of his little fist on the tray of his highchair, Stefanelli tells us why Christians “must, must, must be eradicated”:

As long as they are allowed to exist, we will continue to be inundated with accounts of buses, buildings, markets and abortion clinics being blown up, rape victims being murdered for adultery, wives being beaten (sometimes to death), airplanes being flown into buildings, people being tortured and sometimes beheaded for blasphemy, people being burned for witchcraft and sorcery and all the other horrific, inhumane and insane practices that are part of fundamental Christianity and Radical Islam.

As difficult as it is to take idiots like this seriously, we need to try. Militantly atheistic regimes managed to eradicate well over 100,000,000 of their own subjects in the course of the 20th Century.

Not going away. Get used to it, moonbats.

  1. Travis A says:

See the use of “fundamental” in reference of Christianity? As if all these things he lists are directly “fundamental” about Christianity, yet only shared by the “radical” fringe of Islam. Don’t skip over the word play, that is a direct sting to Christianity.

  2. V the K says:

Well-written post, DB. If Fundamentalist Christians are as dangerous as Muslims, let me ask this: How would your reaction to a man screaming “Jesus Loves You” on a crowded subway platform differ from your reaction to a man screaming “Allahu Akbar?”

  3. StanInTexas says:

I must congratulate Al Stefanelli. He has very cleary stated his abject hatred… For the 1st Amendment to the Constitution.

The good thing about Liberals is, if you give them time to talk, they will usually express their bigotry and intolerance in a manner that is clear to everyone.

  4. StanInTexas says:

Travis, OF COURSE is ot a direct sting to Christianity. Christians pray for atheists. Muslims torture and kill them.

  5. V the K says:

Stefanelli thinks he’s being slick by limiting his call for eradication to only “fundamentalist” Christians to be exterminated, and asking “moderate” Christians to join him. Of course, if he were to succeed with wiping out the fundies, the mainstream Christians would be next.

“When they came for the fundamentalist Christians, I didn’t care because I wasn’t a fundamentalist Christian…”

  6. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Anyone who believes in a magical man in the sky is mentally unstable. Imaginary friends are for children. Good men can be good without religion. Evil men can be evil without religion. It takes religion to make good men do evil.

  7. StanInTexas says:

And Dookie chimes in with HIS particular hatred of the 1st Amendment.

  8. Dookiestain Laflair says:

VK, anyone screaming about imaginary sky people on a subway platform would be equally disturbing. One has a higher chance of exploding, but both are living in a fantasy world.

  9. metprof says:

Al’s gonna look real smart the day he meets St. Peter.

  10. Dookiestain Laflair says:

I don’t hate the first amendment, just religion. Christians and other religious freaks have been torturing and killing atheists for the past 2000 years, telling people to adhere to your ignorant superstitions or face subjugation by society.

  11. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Give this a good reading. I doubt it will undo all the brainwashing you’ve had, but it is a good start.

  12. StanInTexas says:

Dookie, you may want to actually READ the 1st Amendment. And realize that it applies to ALL Americans, not just to moronic and intolerant like you.

  13. V the K says:

It’s not that atheists have tried Christianity and found it wanting, it’s that they have found it difficult and left it untried.

  14. chuck in st paul says:

America’s Constitution guarantees Freedom OF Religion, NOT freedom FROM religion.

Go pack sand dipstick. [actually I suppose that applies to both the atheist in the article AND to our resident dipstick dookie la diaperstain]

  15. ImbecilicLaflair says:

Religion has been here for how long? oh yeah its been here since the creation of mankind.. but you’re the smartest person in the world.. you dont believe in god and make it a fact… wow you out smarted everybody in history that believed in god… or your an idiot LOL…

  16. Gregory of Yardale says:

It is impossible for someone like the dookster to consider that the reason religion has survived and prevailed is because so many people have discovered there is something real and valuable there. He is to be pitied.

  17. Geeknerd says:

Persecution is to Christianity like water to a grease fire; instead of supressing it, it makes it spread explosively. Look at the home-churches in China.

The Enemy will never figure this out.

  18. StanInTexas says:

Gregory, it is impossible for Dookie to consider that anyone should be allowed to have an opinion about anything that differs from his own.

In other words, Dookie is your prototypical LIBERAL!

  19. Marmo says:

Using Al Stefanelli’s logic, if we look at degrees of belief in religion as a continuous spectrum, from fundamentalists to atheists, it seems to me that both extremes would be a problem. So shouldn’t he be advocating that radical atheist fundamentalists also be “eliminated”?

  20. Sinister66 says:

    chuck in st paul

So your saying you you have freedom to choose your religion but your not free from subjugation by religion?

Everyone is free to to follow any religion they choose. They are also free to not follow a religious ideology.

  21. Dookiestain Laflair says:

VK is right, I don’t understand Christianity. I don’t understand how a rational and thinking person can believe in talking snakes, people rising from the dead, and all of the other idiotic things that you believe.

  22. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Greg, religion is passed down in a meme like fashion. ( This does explains it a little bit. Sort of like how a guy who likes spider man comics gets is son started on them, then his son likes spider man comics, and so forth. That does not make spider man real.

  23. Dookiestain Laflair says:

I have no problem with people who disagree with me and they should be allowed to express their opinion. It is religion that keeps people from expressing their self, from gays in the bible belt to atheists in Saudi Arabia. Religion does far more to suppress people’s freedom then atheism.

  24. Penny says:

So Dookie, you hate us. That’s fine. It’s your legal right, and I wouldn’t dream of trying to take it away from you.

How do you suppose to “eradicate” us and our beliefs, though? As for myself, you’d have to kill me, because threats of persecution or imprisonment can’t make me renounce my faith.

How many hundreds of million dead will it take to reach your better world?

  25. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Geek, the way to move past religion is not to suppress it, but to educate the followers with facts, reason and logic. Once people know why things happen, they don’t need to ascribe these things to an invisible sky man. People used to think thunder and lightning were the gods fighting. Now we know what causes it.

  26. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Penny, no one has to die to eradicate religion, merely be educated.

  27. StanInTexas says:

First, you have already admitted that you intolerance towards religion in general and Christianity in particular is based upon your own deliberate ignorance.

Second, it is not Christians trying to stop atheists from believing what they want, but the other way around.

  28. Dookiestain Laflair says:

I don’t hate anyone here, I want you to know the wonder and beauty of the universe without wasting away your time on superstitions. I want you to learn! Isn’t it enough to admire the garden without saying there are magical fairies in it?

  29. son of a preacher man says:

Yes, nothing but blind matter slamming into each other no more no less. Move along please.

  30. StanInTexas says:

Educated, Dookie? You mean like that opinion-laced screed you posted reddit?

Just because you or one of your intolerant atheist friends SAY something does not make it true.

  31. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, why do you believe in Christ as opposed to Odin, Allah, Crom, Vishnu, or any other god? We are both atheists when it comes to all other gods. I have merely added one more god to the list I don’t believe exist.

  32. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, you are right. And just because the bible says something doesn’t make it true either.

  33. StanInTexas says:

Dookie, an atheist is a person that claims that they know FOR A FACT that there is no God and no higher power. We both have FAITH that we are correct, but your arrogance is you undoing when you refuse to admit your faith.

Now, the topic of this thread is one of your atheist brethern wanting to eliminate religion and religious people. Is that your position as well?

  34. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, you apparently don’t know what an atheist is. ( ) Some claim to know there is no god, some don’t believe because they think there is no evidence. You should read this, it talks about the different kids of atheism.

  35. Gregory of Yardale says:

VK is right, I don’t understand Christianity. I don’t understand how a rational and thinking person can believe in talking snakes, people rising from the dead, and all of the other idiotic things that you believe.

I don’t believe in talking snakes or in snake handling. You are woefully misinformed about Christianity.

I do believe there is an order to the universe that argues against chaos. You can call this order God, or you can call it Odin, or you can call it Allah, but it is an order I seek to understand and religion offers a pathway to that understanding that mere science can not. At best, science can explain the “how” of observed phenomena (and it is often proven wrong even at that). Only faith can answer the “why” of Creation.

You attempt to reduce religious faith to crude caricatures is a sort of defense mechanism against trying to comprehend something that is beyond your limitations.

  36. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, once people are educated about science and the universe, religion will fall away like a snake shedding it’s skin.

  37. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Greg, It is you who does not comprehend the universe if you think there is any sort of order to it. Where is the order in putting humans on a planet in such a large universe? Don’t you think god could have come up with a better fit? We have evolved though random mutations and are only here by chance. Science is proven wrong by other science, never by religion.

  38. h. says:

I will have a problem with religion, or those who practice it, when said religion infringes on my ability to live my life the way I choose. Until then, believe in what you want. Just take it easy on us non-believers.

Think for yourself. That’s the creed I follow.

  39. StanInTexas says:

Dookie, an ATHEIST believes there is no God ot higher power. An AGNOSTIC is not sure but believes there is no God or higher power. Words mean things.

And it takes MUCH more faith to believe that our existance came from nothing by random chance than it does for special creation.

Now, answer my question about this thread!

  40. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Greg, people rising from the dead is not a crude character but a central belief of Christians. Do you deny that Christ rose from the dead after three days?

  41. Hail The Amberlamps! says:

I know you like feces, but the “laflair” part means you are most likely a homosexual. Homosexuals are notorious Christophobes because the Old Testament prohibits homosexual behavior and judges practitioners as sinful. This judgement reflects the homosexual’s own self-loathing at his aberrant behavior and desires. Instead of accepting Christ’s love for the homosexual but hating his sin, the homo substitutes Christ as an acceptable enemy to protect his superego. He can’t allow Christ’s love in his life.

Islamics would just hack off the homosexual’s head. Of course, on after 24 hours of nonstop internet porn, cornholing livestock and raping the soon-to-be headless homosexual.

I suggest you move to the Middle East if life sucks so badly in our country with the First Amendment. All of you militant “atheists,” GTFO and worship your nonexistence, religion-of-nonrelion zealotry with the Religion of Peace.

  42. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, if you read that link I posted, you would learn about the different types of atheism.

A gnostic atheist not only believes there are no gods, he also claims to know there are no gods.

An agnostic atheist doesn’t believe in gods, but doesn’t claim to know there are no gods.

Stan, you have nothing to fear form knowledge, embrace it.

  43. Jodie says:

As a Bible loving, Jesus praising, fundamentalist Christian, my biggest concern is, “Whatever shall I wear to my beheading?”

  44. StanInTexas says:

Dookie, stop threadjacking and ANSWER MY QUESTION!

  45. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Amberlamps, you hate an entire group of people because you have been brainwashed into a bronze age superstition. You are most likely suppressing some desires of your own. Amberlaps, human sexuality is not a binary thing, on or off. Amberlamps, even you are a little bit gay. Everyone is. Just because you acknowledge a man is attractive doesn’t mean you are going to have buttsex with him. If you see Brad Pitt in a movie, do you think, what an ugly fug? Either way, you have made a decision about his looks, it doesn’t make you gay.

I would suggest that you look within yourself and ask why you are so concerned about homosexuality.

  46. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, I already did. Religion doesn’t need to be stamped out. Science needs to be promoted.

  47. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    Ahhh, DookieStain
    Now I get it.
Pretty girl knocking at your door with some Jehovahs Witness junk
    Is the EQUIVALENT to
A mid eastern nut at your door screaming Allah Ackbar holding a knapsack with wires sticking out.
Dookie, are you THAT afraid they will convert you, oh strong willed Atheist ?
If you wish convert people to your particular RELIGION, feel free to find an audience on the mount, and go for it.
If, on the other hand you wish to conscript GOVERNMENT to enforce your will, Would that not amount to a “theocracy” of Atheism ? Would Atheism then be the same evil theocracy you claim other religions to be in this country ?
Maybe the problem with Atheism is that it offers nothing.
And one can get nothing anywhere.

  48. StanInTexas says:

So you are once again LYING, because you called all religious people mentally unstable.

COntinue to put your faith in science. See how far THAT gets you.

  49. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, science doesn’t require faith, it produces evidence. Religion requires faith because there is no evidence to support it. Religious people are mentally unstable, and education will help them. These statements are not mutually exclusive.

  50. Hail The Amberlamps! says:

Typical, plaster me with latent homosexual innuendo. Ninety percent of the regulars know that technique of stifling criticism of homos comes from race-baiting, who are you Jesse Dookiestain Sharpton? You seriously going to try that here?

I am concerned about homos’ recruitment into militant anti-Christianity. I am concerned about their rejection of Christ. I expose comintern’s efforts to make them useful idiots to bring down our nation.

  51. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Ghost, no one is going to convert me, but they will continue to foist their ignorance on children who know no better. A government that promotes science and knowledge would in no way be theocracy. This claim his been debunked, as atheism is not a religion. In fact, you are describing the US government as it was envisioned by the founders.

  52. Sgt Stadenko says:

Crusading “evangelical” atheists are far more annoying than televangelists, Mormon missionaries or Jehovah’s Witnesses. And I say this as an agnostic.

Education? Really, Shitstain? What about the holdouts, the ones who refuse to give up their faith? Should they be entered into some sort of “intervention”, like habitual drug abusers? If there are too many for local facilities to handle, should they be sent to “re-education centers” until they come to their senses? Will we need a whole system of these centers all over the country, like an “archipelago”?

  53. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Amberlamps, gay people reject Christianity for the same reason black people reject the KKK.

  54. StanInTexas says:

Science doesn’t requires faith? Are you KIDDING ME???

We are supposed to believe that evolution is scientific fact? Or how about Man-Made global warming?

Atheists like you are arrogant jerks who think no one but you is allowed to have an opinion. It would be MUCH easier for me to make a case that you are mentally unstable.

  55. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stadenko, the hold outs will wither away when no one hires them for jobs because they don’t want to put up with their nonsense. In time, religious people will be looked at like we view the Amish. A quaint throwback to a time when people believed in silly things.

  56. Sgt Stadenko says:

…but they will continue to foist their ignorance on children who know no better.

Sounds like a reason to remove these vulnerable children from such “unstable” households, doesn’t it?

  57. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stan, evolution is a theory that explains the fact that humans and apes have a common ancestor. As opposed to conjecture, like saying god created the universe.

  58. Roflcoper down says:

    Doooooooooooooook, I am, your father!

No but seriously, the number of comments you have on this thread shows how crazy and full of hate you are for Christians. You mentioned Christians torturing atheists for years…. I doubt this will help, but for what it’s worth I have been to many different churches over the years and I have yet to hear a single sermon about atheists…

Atheists are often the most insecure about their own beliefs and that manifests itself in their vigor to try and defend the God doesn’t exist precept.

  59. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Stadenko, leave it to you to suggest prying children out of the arms of their screaming mothers. I’m sure that happened a lot in the bible.

  60. StanInTexas says:

So according to Dookie, we are “mentally unstable”, we are child abusers, and we should not be hired.

But he gets upset when we call him intolerant? He and Stefanelli want the exact same thing, for Christians to be eliminated from society. They simply differ on the method!

  61. Gregory of Yardale says:

Do you deny that Christ rose from the dead after three days?

Of course. It’s no less a ridiculous belief than that all the matter in the universe spontaneously popped into existence out of nothing in the first moment of the big bang, or that random chemicals somehow mixed together in a big primordial soup to give rise to all life.

But the Resurrection of Christ has absolutely squat to do with snake handling. Saying snake-handling represents all Christians is like saying phrenology or Lysenko-Michurinism is typical of all scientists.

  62. Jimbo says:

“Militantly atheistic regimes managed to eradicate well over 100,000,000 of their own subjects in the course of the 20th Century.”

Why do atheist zealots ignor that fact? Atheism is the most dangerous religion on earth, followed closely by islam.

  63. Dookiestain Laflair says:

I don’t hate Christians, just religion in general and all it has done to hold back human progress.

  64. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Jimbo, those regimes killed people because they were communists. They didn’t say “ha ha there is no god so I’m going to kill you”.

  65. Dookiestain Laflair says:

Jimbo, if atheism is a religion then off is a TV station.

  66. Hail The Amberlamps! says:

So the latent-homo protocol failed. Now you double-down on RACISM! analogy. Tired. Pathetic.

Christ loves homosexuals. The KKK didn’t love “coloreds” or jews; their colored or jewish neighbors, especially not as they love KKKers loved themselves. Christ would condemn the KKK’s behavior as sinful as he would two men buggering each other. He would still love them both and allow them free will to reject or stay in their sin. Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of Christianity can see this.

You are profoundly ignorant. Your ideology proceeds from the depth of that ignorance.

  67. son of a preacher man says:

    science doesn’t require faith… lol

You might want to aquaint yourself with the concept of “first principles”

  68. Dookiestain Laflair says:

You’re all idiots and beyond helping.

  69. Gregory of Yardale says:

They didn’t say “ha ha there is no god so I’m going to kill you”.

They were, in fact, following the Atheist edict of pure reason; which gave them license to exterminate those who were considered to be impediments to the imposition of their will.

  70. Sgt Stadenko says:

Stadenko, the hold outs will wither away when no one hires them for jobs because they don’t want to put up with their nonsense.

Good grief. You have no idea how stupid that statement is. You have no idea how many practicing Christians actually own businesses, who are managers and executives at big companies, or are workers you see everyday who never once try to “convert” you or interfere with your daily life in any way.

You really are a child yourself, aren’t you? At best, a college student majoring in some “soft science” like Sociology, amiright? You’ll find you will get a lot further in life if you set aside your totalitarian urges. Your belief system does not need to be forced on those you disagree with, even through what you consider “education”.

A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.

  71. StanInTexas says:

We feel the same about you, Dookie. Although I will continue to pray for you.

  72. Phil5585 says:

For those who care about these things….a Fundamentalist in Christianity is one who holds to the primary teaching that the Old and New Testaments are the FUNDAMENTAL basis for all of the Doctrine, as opposed to men’s opinions, not withstanding the Church Fathers who wrote commentary on doctrine, but mostly relied on the Old Testament and Gospel / Epistle Sources. Fundamentalists are usually too busy bashing each other over Doctrinal issues than to persecute someone else…the only harm they do!
To quote Martin Luther ..Solas las Scripturas… only the Scriptures as the basis for all Doctrine.

So your saying you you have freedom to choose your religion but your not free from subjugation by religion?
    – – – – – – – – – –
Nice going there concern troll but twisting the meaning of my statement to set up a strawman argument won’t fly on this blog. You and everyone else knows that “not freedom FROM religion” means that America is not delegated to stamp out religion in the public places as atheist activists have been trying to do.

Add to that, that activist atheists are really nothing more than self centered infantiles seeking zero constraints on their actions. Religions have moral codes so they must be pitched overboard immediately if not sooner to usher in Utopia. As historical ignoramuses or worse yet, of such amazing hubris, they deliberately ignore what always comes of such lunacy of lawless license.

  74. Roflcoper down says:

If it’s the same “science” that brought us high fructose corn syrup, you can keep it buddy!

  75. Gregory of Yardale says:

Atheism is like standing beside I-70 in Denver, Colorado, seeing a car traveling west at 65 MPH with Maryland plates and concluding that the car must have spontaneously appeared in Baltimore two days earlier and has been driving west at a constant speed ever since. You then declare that all the evidence you can observe supports your theory, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a superstitious imbecile.

  76. Phil5585 says:

    V the K:
    Nice quoting Niemoeller…(or Banhoeffer??)
they came for the Trade Unionists…the Socialists…the Communists….the Jews…then they came for me…and I had no one to turn to.
They came for the Nazis first!…Night of the Long-Knives…when 1000 SA leaders were purged. If they would murder their own….what makes you think you had a chance…and …go look at the movie Reds…when the Politruks came to town, all the good Commies they had no use for were charged with sedition and “Liquidated”…this is what good little atheists do…to their own kind. Unfortunately, Christians are used to martyrdom….for, no man is greater than His Master..and if He went to the Cross for us….we should not shirk our Cross….

  77. Phil5585 says:

Dookie, alas, I don’t know him, Yorick……Seriously…if thou knewest anything, Thou wouldst know that…Colleges and Universities came out of St. Benedict’s Monastic movement, where formal schools to teach letters came about…the Classical Greek and Latin teachings were discovers and preserved (Go read How the Irish saved Civilization)…and at one time all of the eighty-four members of the Royal Society of London..the LEADING Science think tank..were Calvanist-Protestants! How about Pascal, DesCartes, von Leibnitz, Linne, Kepler…(I would say Newton, but he lost it toward the end)…ALL Christians. Wie man sagt auf Deutsch…Du bist ein Idiot! Thou beist an Idiot. Go back and look at the development of came out of Christian Fundamentalism…”Search all Spirits”…and the understanding that God had laws that governed the physical world….why were they called Laws??? EHHHHH???

  78. Winston Smith says:

Dookie Stain probably has no trouble with the concept of human scientists creating life in a laboratory, terraforming worlds and putting such life on it but completely rules that out when the possibility of a higher intelligence doing the same to the Earth. The image of God as some old guy with a beard floating in the clouds and snapping his fingers making thing pop into existence is silly.

If one actually reads the bible it has a society and a leader. Heck, it even had a war just like the ones we have on Earth, where a rebel and 1/3 of Gods “people” basically went to war with God and the other 2/3 and lost – and were subsequently booted out of their universe into ours.

Any sufficiently technologically advance being(s) would be looked at as God(s) by early man.

  79. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    No Dookie
Throughout history, the entity that actually “held man back” most efficiently was a state powerful enough to curtail or co opt religion.
The Iron curtain , North Korea, Islam springs to mind.
    All these utilize force.
Now when the pretty girl with the book jambs her foot in your door, and starts beating you with said book, you still have no case against that RELIGION. When that RELIGION openly recruits pretty thug girls for this specific purpose, you still have NO case against the WHOLE of religion.
The confiscation of peoples labor, for the purpose of “educating” them against that which they freely engage and which violates nobody else’s rights earns you a ringside ticket to the “big fight”. But I suspect you already know that.

  80. Stephan the Original says:

    Dookie’s logic:

Everything was created out of nothing.

…is more rational than an all-powerful God deliberately trapping unbelievers like him in their smallness by allowing minor things like talking snakes or Jesus rising from the dead to trip them up and expose their own arrogance. They can’t even synthesise a twig, yet they know all about life, the universe and everything. Poor Dookie. So sad.

But someone who knows what God is capable of (ie. DNA and at least 10 billion trillion stars are just two examples) realises that it is hardly a problem for God to exceed our understanding or power. If God can do the above, then why is the miraculous deemed beyond Him?

What actually is stupid is someone who posits completely irrational causes for the entire universe expecting us to consider his ramblings worth responding to. If he could actually follow his own arguments to their logical foundations, he would realise that he is declaring his own position irredeemably unreasonable. A building cannot stand on sand.

Ahhh the evils of darwinism and dawkinsism rears its hideious heads

  82. St. Gilbert says:

There are arguments for atheism, and they do not depend, and never did depend, upon science. They are arguable enough, as far as they go, upon a general survey of life; only it happens to be a superficial survey of life.

I do not feel any contempt for an atheist, who is often a man limited and constrained by his own logic to a very sad simplification. Atheism is indeed the most daring of a dogmas… for it is the assertion of a universal negative.

  83. chuck in st paul says:

I feel sorry for the anti-theists as well as the atheists. Their sad attempts to raise their own importance in the universe by deleting a god entity from it is pitiful. After many years and studying many religions and belief systems, I have become agnostic. I would say I’m more closely related metaphyically with the Zen Budhists.

Having said that I will gladly support just about any and all the world’s religions EXCEPT Islam. “By their deeds you shall know them.” So, I call them what they are – Devil worshippers.

All they have to do is to get the ACLU,PEOPLE for the AMERICAN WAY,AMERICANS UNITED FOR THE SEPARATION of CHURCH & STATE as a well as the COMMUNISTS PARTY and BILL MAHER together intoa room

  85. Wilberforce says:

“Gravity explains the motions of the planets, but it cannot explain who set the planets in motion. God governs all things and knows all that is or can be done.”
    -Sir Isaac Newton

    Mentally unstable, irrational, anti-science imbecile?

  86. wingmann says:

Is the Bible the Inspired Word of God?
    Interesting read here:

“I challenge you to go to any library in the world, you can choose any library you like, and find 66 books which match the characteristics of the 66 books in the Bible. You must choose 66 books, written by 40 different authors, over 1500 years, in 3 different languages, written on 3 different continents. However, they must share a common storyline, a common theme, and a common message, with no historical errors or contradictions.” I went on to say, “If you can produce such a collection of books, I will admit that the Bible is not the inspired word of God.”

  87. Sam Adams says:

Is it not hubris in the extreme to imagine that one could search the entire universe in a short lifetime and be able to pronounce that there is no being more intelligent, more knowledgeable, or more powerful that a mere mortal, enabling one to pronounce “There IS No God?”

  88. PabloD says:

Dear Mr. Stefanelli: should you and your ilk opt to attempt to eradicate me, you’d better hope I’m feeling strong enough to turn the other cheek. Otherwise, things are going to get ugly for you, real quick.

  89. Well the number might be 259+ million.

and we must not forget that as of right now communist regimes around murder people in the name of atheism, the number is ever increasing. But they might be beat by the muslims, it is said 300 million has been murdered by muslims. Catholics rake in third prize with 50-100 million (unclear how many catholics have been out and destroyed the material on their persecutions).

But then we do not know how many hindus and buddhists have murdered (and they reguarly murder people, they’re not as peaceful as the reputation say).

True Christianity on the other don’t go around and murder people. But all of the above and others do.

“Isn’t it enough to admire the garden without saying there are magical fairies in it?”

We don’t believe in magical fairies in the garden, but we do believe in the gardener that created it.

Congratz Stan. Your retardedness earned you a post on
Guys, there is no god. Just like how every other god was false, this one is too. Religion being wiped out would be among the best things to happen to the world.

  93. Fawfulster says:

    Dear Stan:

“Science doesn’t requires faith? Are you KIDDING ME???”

    Science is Serious Business.

“We are supposed to believe that evolution is scientific fact? Or how about Man-Made global warming?”

Yes. Why? Because science has something called facts backed up with evidence to substantiate it’s claims.

And if said facts backed up by evidence just happens to not only contradict, but completely annihilate your so-called ‘beliefs’ – which can never be backed up by facts & evidence, thus your so-called ‘beliefs’ can never justify their existence – good. Deal with it.

Now, either accept the facts that technological developments – via science – have created the modern world around you, or just go and live in a cave. You can start with throwing out that computer of yours. It’s development was due to the Atheist & homosexual Alan Turing.

“Atheists like you are arrogant jerks who think no one but you is allowed to have an opinion. It would be MUCH easier for me to make a case that you are mentally unstable.”

You go right ahead, dearie. You throw your money away in a court case a la Kitzmiller vs. Dover. Ever hear of that, several years ago? Via the decision of the Christian Conservative Judge John E. Jones III, and the repercussions it has on Constitutional law, not only said law, but your own Scripture – Romans 13:1-5 – says that you aren’t allowed the right – as a God fearing Christian – to have an opinion to the contrary. The law says Evolution is fact, Creationism is lies. And if you dare to so much as even think otherwise, you’re going to Hell. Your own ‘Word of God’ says so, nay, orders you to obey the law.

Also, Communism didn’t kill 250+ million people. It was Stalinism, which is actually closer to Fascism (and yes, Fascism is a right-wing ideology).

  94. rrpostal says:

Christians love to think of themselves as persecuted, it seems. I would never want religion forcibly controlled in any way. But I’m done respecting the idea of religion just because it is religion.

  95. rrpostal says:

“We don’t believe in magical fairies in the garden, but we do believe in the gardener that created it.”

Way to stubbornly miss the analogy.

We also believe in gardeners. We think they are also wonderful and amazing without needing to concoct a celestial gardener making fairy… er, I mean a god. Don’t want to confuse you, there.
