Ben Shapiro Defends Freedom of Speech in 2 Minutes

Last week the California State Legislature held a hearing on free speech. Republican State Senator John Moorlach invited Ben Shapiro, an uncontroversial mainstream conservative whom leftists have tried to prevent from speaking in the state. Like everything in California, the hearing was controlled by Democrats, so Shapiro was given exactly 2 minutes to make the case for free speech at the end of a 3½ hour meeting. Fortunately, that’s all he needed:

    Way to much common sense for California. I picture congressmen sitting there like the 3 monkeys with their hands over their ears etc.

    It’s obvious that leftists will never understand that their definition of “hate speech” is exactly what the Constitution first amendment intended to protect.

    the idiot concept that speech should be stopped instead of violent and disruptive behavior is the ideal of fascist power mongers the world over.

    What’s next? allowing necklacing of anyone they don’t like? That really is not that far down the road from censorship.
