Chris Rock on Politics: Obey

Among the infantile, an adolescent can pass as a parent. Yet another subservient Hollyweird statist explains why we ought to let the Manchurian Moonbat confiscate our firearms:

“I am just here to support the President of the United States. President of the United States is our boss, but he is also… you know, the President and the First Lady are kinda like the Mom and the Dad of the country. And when your Dad says something you listen, and when you don’t it will usually bite you on the ass later on. So, I’m here to support the President.”
—Chris Rock

Rock isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but he does know whose ring to kiss to advance his career in Obamunist Tinseltown.

Remember when comedy had a rebellious edge to it? Neither do I. Mainstream comedians have been obedient foot soldiers for officially mandated politically correct oligarchical collectivism for generations now.

  2. StanInTexas says:

Liberals often spoke of Bill and Hillary Clinton as their parents.

I guess Chris Rock and the other Liberals just want a President who will pat them on the head, give them a treat, and send them on their way.

Unless that President is a Republican.

  3. Comrade J says:

Reminds me of an old pre Civil war poster I’ve seen a while ago – a slave thanking a ‘mastah’ for feeding, clothing and taking care of him in the old age.

    How little things have changed…

Well it’s better than the Lightbringer, I guess.

  5. Beef says:

I have heard this from any number of black people, that we should just listen to President Obama and trust that he is right, even if we don’t quite understand what he is doing.

In the proper context, the President should be viewed as a public servant responsible for conducting the duties of the office as defined by the Constitution. Instead, Obama is viewed a ruler whose wishes stand over the law. That is not the relationship a free people has with its government.

You’ve heard the expressions “life imitates art” and “art imitates life.” I would encourage you to re-read Animal Farm and decide which animal best represents Chris Rock and his ilk. We know that Obama is Napoleon, the Stalinesque head pig. I would submit that Rock best exemplifies Squealer, speaking to his dumbed-down, low information, and primarily black audience. Recall, Squealer was the pig in charge of spreading Napoleon’s propaganda among the other animals. Squealer justifies the pigs’ monopolization of resources and spreads false statistics pointing to the farm’s success. Orwell uses Squealer to explore the ways in which those in power often use rhetoric and language to twist the truth and gain and maintain social and political control.

By radically simplifying language—as when he teaches the sheep to bleat “Four legs good, two legs better!”—he limits the terms of debate.

Here, to his already ignorant and adolesent-minded audience, Rock channeling Squealer, proposes don’t mind the details that your liberties are being stripped and the Constitution shredded, just listen to the Obama’s as you would your parents and eat your vegetables, they’re good for you.

By complicating language unnecessarily to his low information audience, a Squealer can confuse and intimidate the uneducated, as when he explains that pigs, who are the “brainworkers” of the farm, consume milk and apples not for pleasure, but for the good of their comrades. E.g., taxes must be raised on the rich by the president for investment, and Obama must be given extra-constitutional authority to get past Republican obstructions.

In this latter strategy, he also employs jargon (“tactics, tactics”) as well as a baffling vocabulary of false and impenetrable statistics, engendering in the other animals both self-doubt and a sense of hopelessness about ever accessing the truth without the pigs’ mediation.

Squealer’s lack of conscience and unwavering loyalty to his leader, alongside his rhetorical skills, make him the perfect propagandist for any tyranny.

The guy’s a “black” comedian, what else would you expect. Satire?

  11. Tess says:

Most ‘dads’ these days are only “baby daddy’s”, mostly absent. (My term would be ‘sperm donor’, but that’s another subject.) They’re usually off “doing their own thing”, “takin’ care of #1”, with no in the kids actual life. They just show up to be a Santa Claus-type guy to look good. Well, yeah, I guess that pretty much describes it.

  12. Joe says:

He probably needs odopey to be his “dad” because he doesn’t know who his real dad is. I know my real dad, and I don’t need a stinkin’ commie pretender to substitute for him. He couldn’t hold a candle to my dad anyway.

To paraphrase a Stoic maxim: A collectivist is always a slave, an individualist is always free.

Excuse me, I threw up a little in my mouth.

Where was this “philosophy” during the Bush Administration? Oh, that’s right! It only works if the President is a BLACK “LIBERAL” (sorry, I meant SOCIALIST) MAN ….(please note I use the word MAN loosely).

  18. Tax Slave says:

but… most of 0’Bama’s black constituents don’t know WHO their fathers are. Their mothers couldn’t pick ’em out of a police line-up.
