Democrats See Blacks as Useful Idiots

Here’s a history lesson Democrats won’t want blacks to see:

Good thing for libs they control the government schools, or people would already know all this.

Republicans freed the slaves. Democrats reenslaved them. Slavery is called “social justice” now, and all the slaves have to do is vote instead of picking cotton, but it isn’t any less pernicious.

Via Stolen History, on a tip from Gary A.

  1. The social justice biz is also highly profitable- Obama, Rezko, and Jarrett made out like bandits building crumbling death traps with heavy taxpayer subsidies on the South Side.

Obama even gave back Rezko’s campaign donations from that period, due to the taint of their failed ‘affordable housing’ initiatives. BUT only once Tony was indicted, of course.

  2. A. Levy says:

Blacks have always been used as political props by Demoncrats and the Left. This, in spite of the fact that generally speaking, blacks are not social liberals. They are rabidly anti-gay and anti-same-sex marriage. But blacks give their support to Demoncrats because they know that’s the party that keeps all the free govt. “goodies” flowing into the ghetto. It’s a relationship made in hell.

If blacks were smarter, they would realize it’s Demoncrats and the Left that have made them into “welfare junkies”, and robbed them of their self-respect, self-reliance, and any sense of independance and responsibility they may have had.

  3. AC says:

The southern plantations have been replaced with the likes of Cabrini Green.

    Democrats call this “progress.”

  4. TonyD95B says:

The Culture of Dependency the Democrats/Liberals/Pseudoprogressives have created is The New Slavery.

The difference is, when the slaves were in bondage they still had their pride and still wanted to be free.

The urban black, gangbanger types I can understand – they’re basically morons that (when they actually do vote) have been “bought off” by their Democratic slave masters.

What I just cannot understand is how any of the hard-working supposedly self-respecting black men in this country can go along with this.

We have Allen West, Thomsas Sowell and a few others…..and there has to be more. Where ARE they?

  5. TonyD95B says:

……and where are all the black women out there? Don’t they care about their families, their communities and their country?

  6. lao says:

There’s no doubt that the “dixiecrats” were segregationists and in 1960, Mississippi and Alabama opposed the civil rights stance of both Kennedy AND Nixon by voting for segregationist democrats Byrd and Thurmond.

Re the 1964 Civil Rights Act:

Dirkson-R, Kuchel-R, Humphrey-D and Mansfield-D crafted the bill that passed.

Breaking down the votes by region we see this:

    The original House version:
    Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7%–93%)
    Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0%–100%)
    Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%–6%)
    Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%–15%)

    The Senate version:
    Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5%–95%)
    Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0%–100%)
    Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%–2%)
    Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%–16%)

What is important to bear in mind is what happened afterwards.

Segregationist Thurmond and others, switched parties and became Republican.

In 1964, Goldwater carried home state Arizona and 5 southern states, including Mississippi and Alabama against Johnson.

Subsequently, which party adopted the “southern strategy” to politically hold the southern states?

Seeing this, and being smart, which party have blacks supported since then?

  7. AC says:

We have Allen West, Thomsas Sowell and a few others…..and there has to be more. Where ARE they?

Bill Cosby told them to pull up their pants, respect their family, and get a job. They didn’t listen.

  8. TonyD95B says:

Capt. Crosshairs comes up with his usual nonsense about the Southern Strategy.

As always, it’s the exception in the century-and-a-half long history of the Republican Party that makes the rule. In actual practice, the Southern Strategy had more to do with economics than race anyway.

Gordy the Canadian Wonder troll reveals the depth of his ignorance with this piece of comedy gold: “Seeing this (the so-called Southern Strategy), and being smart, which party have blacks supported since then?

Loud Angry Obfuscator actually thinks it’s “smart” for blacks to subjugate themselves and be “slaves” to the Democratic Party.

    Absolutely hilarious.

Another Republican claims that Martin Luther King Jr. was part of the GOP

…it seems to us that the preponderance of the evidence shows that a claim that Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican is simply False.

  10. lao says:

GOP: ‘We were wrong’ to play racial politics

Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman apologized to one of the nation’s largest black civil rights groups Thursday, saying Republicans had not done enough to court blacks in the past and had exploited racial strife to court white voters, particularly in the South.

“Some Republicans gave up on winning the African-American vote, looking the other way or trying to benefit politically from racial polarization,” Mehlman said at the annual convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. “I am here today as the Republican chairman to tell you we were wrong.”

  11. Fred C. Dobbs says:

Ahh yes, the old “the parties switched!” screed. That one never gets old. We’re all supposed to believe all those racists segregationist Dems switched over and become Republicans while all the virtuous civil rights loving Republicans magically became Democrats. You’ll forgive me if I have a hard time swallowing this one. Anyone remember Robert Byrd? Wasn’t he one of those evil racist Republicans who was once a Grand Wizard of the KKK? Oh wait, no, he was a lifelong Democrat. Oops!!

All I can say is thank goodness these days more and more blacks are waking up to the fact that they’ve been manipulated and enslaved by the Democratic party for nearly half a century. More and more blacks are also waking up to the reality of the “magic negro” in the White House.

  12. Jay B. says:

To be honest, by now blacks have been so “re-educated” they’ll believe anything democrats given them. The fact alone that their own black representative treat them like shit (Housing projects, numberless complains about Jackson Lee against other blacks) and they keep cheering for them shows how lost of a cause this is. I know I’ve said it before but if Obama went to a black only audience and pissed on them for the whole speech, they would still flock to the voting booths to vote for him.

  13. KHarn says:

    “lao says:January 28, 2012 at 9:52 am”

Do you have a problem with that? When did the DONKEYS appoligise?

Keep showing your ignorance and arrogance, commie.

  14. Fiberal says:

The difference between the black plantation slaves owned by democrats yesterday and the black voting slaves farmed in the ghettos by liberals today, are that today’s blacks could emancipate themselves if they want to.

And just as some of the biggest slavers in the south were blacks, black politicians keep the majority of black voting slaves.

Just a kinder, gentler whipping hand – to paraphrase Neil Young.

  15. AC says:

Democrat plantation masters fear that Dr. Paul might free their vote slaves from the chains of socialism and big government.

  16. TonyD95B says:

RE: KHarn at January 28, 2012 at 9:57 am:

    Beat me to it, K.

That was a “Forest, Meet Trees” statement if I ever saw one. Irony is totally wasted on the Loopy Loony Left.

  17. Son of Taz says:

lao is glib with his misconstrued facts, but there’s one fact s/he didn’t address – the abortion rate for blacks. It’s been verified by the NYC health department:

Blacks had the highest number of abortions with 40,798 with Hispanics having the second highest at 28,364, according to the report.
A genocide is happening each year in the US, and the leftists pretend nothing is wrong. This will not change until the left is purged – yes I said purged – from our educational institutions, legal system and media.

  18. Fiberal says:

Just to clarify the idiocy being spewed by Lao-Z here, the reason that blacks flocked in droves to the Democrat party is bc Democrats enticed them with handouts.

Before Lyndon Johnson and his “war on poverty” black home ownership, employment and marriages were on the rise, as it was for white America.

That all turned around with welfare. Democrats fed welfare into low income populations and it spread like wildfire. They kept it up with things like Affirmative Action and now today, hundreds of entitlement programs contribute to the livelihood support of most blacks in America.

Of course, Republicans and conservatives have always seen the destruction, arrogance and injustice of such courses of action, and opposed them on the basis that they would result in less freedom bc they were anti-individual and anti-responsibility. Not hard enough, apparently.

Democrats on the other hand persisted with redistribution and the policies of race against the race-neutral Republicans and captured their audience better by selling victimization. Now politely called, “fairness” by the Negro-In-Chief.

Given all this and the indecent, corrupt, ugly, murderous and segregated state of black America, I don’t know how Democrats would be wrong in characterizing blacks today as “useful idiots”.

  19. Festivus says:

Nixon is generally credited for expanding affirmative action, if I recall. Nixon’s conservative credentials are questionable, of course (think EPA and OSHA), but republicans have a history of trying to buy votes as well.

Eisenhower was also ahead of the curve on civil rights for blacks.

Thurmond is cited, but who are the “others”?

  20. Festivus says:

I don’t know if MLK, Jr was a Republican or not but his father definitely was and it seems unlikely that MLK, Jr would have been a Democrat since that was the party he was primarily fighting on the segregation front.

Also, why would racist Democrats switch to the party that was largely responsible for passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act?

MLK, Jr’s niece, Dr. Alveda King asserts that MLK, Jr was a Republican.

How black Americans allowed themselves to be relegated to urban plantations (i.e., slum public housing) is a stroke of political genius orchestrated by the racist Democrat party.

  21. lao says:

When the Republican National Committee Chairman apologized to the NAACP “Some Republicans gave up on winning the African-American vote, looking the other way or trying to benefit politically from racial polarization,” Mehlman said that was an acknowledgement the southern strategy existed.

Mehlman’s apology to the NAACP at the group’s convention in Milwaukee marked the first time a top Republican Party leader has denounced the so-called Southern Strategy employed by Richard Nixon and other Republicans to peel away white voters in what was then the heavily Democratic South. Beginning in the mid-1960s, Republicans encouraged disaffected Southern white voters to vote Republican by blaming pro-civil rights Democrats for racial unrest and other racial problems.

As for claims about King’s political leanings, how about some quotes?

“I feel someone must remain in the position of non-alignment, so that he can look objectively at both parties and be the conscience of both—not the servant or master of either.”

“I don’t think the Republican party is a party full of the almighty God nor is the Democratic party. They both have weaknesses … And I’m not inextricably bound to either party.”

Actually, the Negro has been betrayed by both the Republican and the Democratic party. The Democrats have betrayed him by capitulating to the whims and caprices of the Southern Dixiecrats. The Republicans have betrayed him by capitulating to the blatant hypocrisy of reactionary right wing northern Republicans. And this coalition of southern Dixiecrats and right wing reactionary northern Republicans defeats every bill and every move towards liberal legislation in the area of civil rights.

Expressing indecision re the Stevenson-Eisenhower election he wrote: “In the past I always voted the Democratic ticket.”

“I felt that Kennedy would make the best president. I never came out with an endorsement. My father did, but I never made one.” King adds that he likely would have made an exception to his non-endorsement policy in 1964, saying “Had President Kennedy lived, I would probably have endorsed him in 1964.”

In 2008 King’s son and namesake Martin Luther King III said:”It is disingenuous to imply that my father was a Republican. He never endorsed any presidential candidate, and there is certainly no evidence that he ever even voted for a Republican. It is even more outrageous to suggest he would support the Republican Party of today, which has spent so much time and effort trying to suppress African American votes in Florida and many other states.”

  22. Festivus says:

    Distract and redirect.

Just like a good little liberal.

  23. Festivus says:

    I forgot to add, “operative.”

  24. Festivus says:

Just to get you back on track, who are the “others”?

It was the Democrat party that MLK, Jr was confronting wasn’t it?

  25. Festivus says:

Oh, yeah, and you might want to link to your sources rather than go to the trouble of posting multiple unsourced paragraphs.

  26. Jodie says:

According to God’s holy book, Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japeth. Ham disrespected his father and as a result, God cursed Ham’s son Canaan and his descendents into slavery. Ham’s brothers, who respected their father, were richly blessed.

THANKFULLY, Jesus came along to provide ALL of us with salvation and someday, real justice. He said “whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother”. Jesus didn’t discriminated against anyone.

The history of civilization may be unpleasant and some aren’t ready to hear it, but it speaks for itself. Blacks have been suffering as slaves of many peoples throughout history. They were given their freedom through Jesus Christ – although those who didn’t know Jesus refused to acknowledge their freedom.

ANYONE can be saved by accepting Jesus, but those who are believing in Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, or other social justice preachers, are following false prophets. The things they teach are not in the Bible and not from God.

Read for yourself in the book of Genesis, Chapter 9. Here’s an excerpt:

24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,

    “Cursed be Canaan!
    The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers.”

    26 He also said,

“Praise be to the LORD, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
    27 May God extend Japheth’s[b] territory;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”

  27. Sam Adams says:

The Democrat party still hold Margaret Sanger as a saint, and are continuing her work of black genocide. By 2038, if abortion rates continue, the blacks will be an insignificant minority.

That is why the democrats are working hard to create the next underclass; the non-English speaking, poorly educated immigrant worker.

What was Robert Byrd’s title? Grand Cyclops?

  28. Sam Adams says:

    Own your racist roots, Lao.

  29. Jodie says:

PS – Word to blacks: Obama AND Reverend Wright were both Muslims before they became fake Christians. Blacks are still slaves according to Allah and the Muslim religion.

  30. Festivus says:

    Jodie, you’re the best.

  31. Jodie says:

Aw, thanks so much Festivus! 😳

Another Republican claims that Martin Luther King Jr. was part of the GOP

It appears the person making that claim is a black woman.

You calling her a liar, then?

    Racist much?

I mean, whenever we point out any of Obama’s many lies we get called racist even when we’re simply telling the truth, so it works the other way too, right?

  33. Bob Roberts says:

I notice lao quickly backed off the fact that when they were in the KKK they were Democrats then when they realized the error of their ways (with regards to both politics and extracurricular activities) some of them switched to Republican.

It’s so amusing that one of the cards moonbats think is so strong is that some Republicans were once KKK but they rarely admit that, while they were, they were Democrats!

  34. Rock says:

If only someone in the Republican Party would buy some “air time” and show this seven minute video on television maybe, just maybe, the people in this country will wake up.

Hey, I have a great idea. FOX News could surely run it. Come on FOX News,do it for America.

  35. lao says:

    Martin Luther King Jr. Online

To save man from the morass of propaganda, in my opinion, is one of the chief aims of education. Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction. Martin Luther King, Jr., The Purpose of Education

When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, militarism and economic exploitation are incapable of being conquered.
Martin Luther King, Jr., Why I Am Opposed to the War in Vietnam

The curse of poverty has no justification in our age. It is socially as cruel and blind as the practice of cannibalism at the dawn of
civilization… The time has come for us to civilize ourselves by the total, direct and immediate abolition of poverty. Martin Luther King, Jr., Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?, 1967.

  36. Jodie says:

blah, blah, blah, social justice, blah, blah, blah…

  37. lao says:

    Too funny Jodie.

The video blount put in the header claims Martin Luther King is a Republican.

Thanks for demonstrating your true feelings about the man and what he stood for.

  38. Festivus says:

He was killed by a racist democrat.

  39. Jodie says:

I’m glad you find me humorous, lao.

Yes, my true feelings are that a reverend should be teaching what’s in the Holy Bible and not some man-made up agenda. We will always have the poor – that’s what God says.

You lefties think the rich are evil anyway. So, what happens when there are no poor, will everyone be rich and evil? Won’t it still seem like some are poor if others have more? Wait, don’t answer that, I don’t want to have an ongoing conversation with you.

You’ve got to start thinking these things through though, lao, or you will perish!

  40. lao says:

Festivus, King was in Memphis in support of the black sanitary public works employees, represented by AFSCME Local 1733, who had been on strike since March 12 for higher wages and better treatment.

Does that sound like a Republican cause to you?

  41. Festivus says:

I didn’t say he was a republican. As for the strike, he was there to support the black strikers. So what?

Do you suppose MLK, Jr voted for the Democrat segregationists that dominated the poitics of Georgia and Alabama at local and state levels?

  42. lao says:

If you don’t say King was Republican then you contradict the claim in the video. I agree with you. King wasn’t a Republican.

  43. Festivus says:

I said I didn’t know if he was or not. What is clear is that he was fighting Democrat segregationists and he lived in places that were dominated by Democrat segregationists, so it does seem unlikely to me that he would have voted the Democratic ticket since that would have been counterproductive in terms of his life’s mission.

  44. Cele says:

Blacks are aways loyal, and the message given to them is the Republicans are rich and the cause of all their problems in general. They fail to see that there are more rich folks on the Democratic side
Obama is viewed by many of their self appointed leaders as the Messiah. He is the annointed one who can do no harm. They cover for each other, and refuse to betray others in their group. Outsiders do not understand them.
Obama a 32 degree Prince Hall Mason, Michelle a sister of the Eastern Star. This group will support them even if they suffer in the long run.
