Gun Appreciation Day

Don’t forget, countermoonbats: today is Gun Appreciation Day. Stand up and be counted, whether it is by attending a gun show, making a purchase at a gun shop, spending some quality time on the range, or — if you can make it to a state capitol — taking part in Guns Across America.

They can’t ignore us unless we let ourselves be ignored.

On a tip from Varla.

I was gone all day, haunting Cabela’s in Pennsylvania.
Seventy percent of the cars in the parking lot were from New York State. The other 30% were from New Jersey.

It was like the first two weeks of January 1920, before Prohibition began.

  8. Eleanor in Hell says:

Franklin, why was Amelia Earhart gone the same time you were today?

I wondered why she was wearing that “You’ve Got A Friend In Pennsylvania” T-shirt at dinner. 😮

  9. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

I celebrated by giving one a long overdue cleaning

  10. F.D.R. in Hell says:

She got that T-shirt from Jack Murtha.
    I swear she did, Eleanor.

You can celebrate by shooting a leftist, but only in the knees. We don’t want them to think we’re savages.

“I regard Henry Ford as my inspiration” – Adolph Hitler, 1931 (Recipient of the Grand Cross of the German Eagle)

  14. Dr. 9 says:

Could it be that the American people, after having been abused, lied to, and stepped on for the last four years, are finally starting to get their common sense?

  15. OldTexan says:

Guns aren’t just for old fat white guys (like me) anymore. I was at Elm Fork gun range in Dallas yesterday and there were hundreds of people enjoying shooting sports. Lots of shotgunners, lots of rifles and a whole lot of pistol shooting going on. There was a strong turnout of women, looked to be about 30%. Lots of young people with representation of about every ethnic group in the world and that is what we need.

I have family members who are finally starting to see the light after supporting Obama in the past and becoming disgusted with his post election behavior especially his gun crack down. My advice to gun people is to be very gentle with the new comers and please avoid telling them how screwed up they were in the past but welcome them into our world of self-reliance and responsibility.

My peace loving daughter who lives outside of Aspen told me about a break-in in her neighborhood where the police were called and during the 30 min. police response time the criminal was being held, in the front year, hog-tied at gun point by 6 men; the first responder who was being broken in to and his neighbors who showed up real fast. Daughter tells me now that no one is taking their guns away and the Eastern Gun Grabber Folks don’t understand about the real world, etc.

Anyway, we might be finally starting to get out message out that 80 million gun owners are not criminals nor are we mentally ill.

Did anyone here notice that this was headline news all over the place yesterday?

  17. SNuss says:

The local paper ( gave Gun Appreciation Day and the numerous rallies just a short blurb on page 3, down by the fold.

The anti-gun stories got mostly front-page coverage, for days. Anybody surprised?
