Healthy Housing Is a Human Right

“Housing Is a Human Right” is a favorite cry of communists who believe that everyone should be forced to finance everyone else’s needs. Under Hopey Change, this slogan has been upgraded to “Healthy Housing Is a Human Right.” The Regime has announced a new initiative entitled Advancing Healthy Housing, promising to protect us from “moderate to severe physical housing problems, including dilapidated structure; roofing problems; heating, plumbing, and electrical deficiencies; water leaks and intrusion; pests; damaged paint;” et cetera; ad nauseam.

According to the Obama administration, the health and economic burdens from preventable hazards associated with both subsidized and privately owned homes cost billions of dollars.

The new strategy “unifies” federal efforts to advance healthy housing — “demonstrating the connection between housing conditions and residents’ health.”

This is why Democrats were willing to go to any length to ram through ObamaCare. Once public health is a public expense, every future intrusion by Big Government can be justified as a cost savings. If we let you drink too big a cup of soda, you’ll get fat, and that will cost money. If we let you have guns, someone might get shot, and that will cost money. If we don’t impose ever more picayune building codes and force you to pay for other people’s housing upgrades…

A 2013 report from the “Federal Healthy Homes Work Group” notes that “susceptible and vulnerable populations, such as children, the poor, minorities, individuals with behavioral health issues, and people with chronic medical conditions, may be disproportionately impacted by inadequate housing.”

If you are a working non-minority without any lucrative “behavioral health issues,” get ready to hand over your pound of flesh to make up for the alleged disparities.

But not just any housing.

On tips from Sean C, Bob Roberts, and Wiggins.

Housing is a Right? Healthcare is a Right?

But bearing arms is not. Typical Liberal Logic!

This is going to work out great! Sunshine and Lollipops for everyone!

  3. Skyfall says:

Gee, my house could use a new coat of paint and a copper re-pipe…but I’m a white, Christian, non-drug user who owns firearms. Since all rights now come from Obama, I guess that disqualifies me for my free stuff.

This is merely the verbalizing of what HUD did under the boy cumo and Franklin Raynes and Fannie & Freddie under Baaahney Fwank.

Of course! Look how well that type of program worked in Detroit! Based on that “success”, it makes sense to expand it nationwide!

Idiots. Arrest every one of those boobs and put them in a damp dark cell for the rest of their lives.

  6. well ya know says:

Exactly Ummah. This has already been tried with catastrophic results.

Taken to its logical conclusion this means that not having to work for income is a human right. This can only be implemented for a while because more and more people are going to say “screw it” and either stop working themselves or move somewhere else. Problem is that libs instrumentalize the UN to follow those trying to Go Galt and take what they have anyway.

I guess they won’t have much luck trying to take from the SOWdi Barbarians or from China and the Rooskies. Thus China or Russia are becoming likely future destinations for those wishing to pay their own way but not everyone else’s.

Forget Brazil/Uruguay/Argentina. Too bad cause the babes are hot and so is the weather, but they are semi-socialist basket cases ready to turn any renegade and his funds coming their way, over to the UN.

Anything that White people and other non-colored people work for and earn is envied by liberals. Instead of motivating others to work hard and better themselves liberals choose to claim racism and attack conservatives’ and the work ethic. They cheapen the value of things, like housing and work, by doing that. It’s all about envy. If White kids have X-box 360 then that’s racist when some colored kid don’t be gots it. Gnomesane?

Here’s a very funny comment I found on another site:

I have a feeling that global warming is on a list of words they are supposed to drop when they don’t have anything vital to say. “Global Warming”, “Racism”, “Republican Corruption”, “Healthcare Reform”, etc. They are supposed to tack them onto a tidbit of news in the form of a leading question. “Hurricane moving into the south and blizzard in the northeast…Could it be Global Warming?” or “Woman dies of kidney disease…Could Healthcare Reform have saved her?” or “Polls show President Obama’s approval ratings are lowest ever…Could it be a result of Republican corruption or racism?”

Had to share, sorry it’s off topic but worth the read.. It’s so true, they always attach a rhetorical question based on whatever talking point best fits the topic.

Very excellent analysis of the enemy which is why I had to post it.

Yeah, the ole “but it will cost us more in the long run” bromide. The real “long run” is the country’s GDP. When we make the unproductive comfortable it kills our productivity.

People seem to have difficulty distinguishing rights from goods and services. Here’s an easy way to keep them straight.

If you are alone on a desert island, without anyone around, everything you have standing there by yourself is a right. You can voice your opinion; you can even write it down. You can pray to whomever.

You can pick up a rock or a stick and defend yourself.

    These are all rights.

Housing, food, education, health care, are all examples of things you buy with money. When you can buy something with money, it is a good or a service. A good or a service is not, and cannot be a right, because someone has to pay for that good or service.

The folks carrying signs are demanding that someone else pay for their goods or services. They are leaches.

I think the idea is in fact to stick all of us in cells, in the form of “safe, clean, new” .gov buildings. You’ll notice they’re all concentrated in a few places, probably with all the beauty and comforts of cargo containers. They’ll be assigned with “diversity” as the guiding principle. Then they can go all agenda 21 on these wide open spaces we’re no longer inhabiting.

  14. KHarn says:

The “Four Horsemen Of The Apocolips” is not what will come to destroy us; it will be the “Seven Deadly Sins”, led by the eighth: “STUPIDITY”.

Wikipedia has a good artical on the seven deadly sins.

  15. SandyS says:

And how long will it take for them to take a nice “free” house and turn it into a dump like Detroit? Start the count down now. I say 6 months.

Hate to use “facts” against you (and know they will bounce off anyway… ) but here goes:

We the people already subsidize the healthcare of anyone and everyone who requires it. Go to an emergency room, and see if they tell you to go fuck yourself.

So, would I, as an American taxpayer, perfer to have someone get incredibly sick and then pay to deal with it? I would not.

Even His Mittness, in an uncharacteristic moment of honesty, pointed out that providing some guaranteed minimum standard of life and health will save us all money and be a good thing.

A question: do you people just hate all humans that aren’t yourselves? Is that the deal here?
