James Carville Explains Why He Is a Democrat

Despite his rabid pit bull demeanor, James Carville always seemed to have too sharp a mind to be a Democrat. The mystery is resolved, if this quote from is legit:

“Ideologies aren’t all that important. What’s important is psychology.

“The Democratic constituency is just like a herd of cows. All you have to do is lay out enough silage and they come running. That’s why I became an operative working with Democrats. With Democrats all you have to do is make a lot of noise, lay out the hay, and be ready to use the ole cattle prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.

“Eighty percent of the people who call themselves Democrats don’t have a clue as to political reality.

“What amazes me is that you could take a group of people who are hard workers and convince them that they should support social programs that were the exact opposite of their own personal convictions. Put a little fear here and there and you can get people to vote any way you want.

“The voter is basically dumb and lazy. The reason I became a Democratic operative instead of a Republican was because there were more Democrats that didn’t have a clue than there were Republicans.

“Truth is relative. Truth is what you can make the voter believe is the truth. If you’re smart enough, truth is what you make the voter think it is. That’s why I’m a Democrat. I can make the Democratic voters think whatever I want them to.”

To be a member of the Democrat herd who believes in liberal ideology, you need to be pathologically naive. In contrast, to be one of the drovers who define that ideology, you need to take cynicism to the last extreme.

The joke is on you, moonbats.

So, Mr. Carville knows what he is doing is manipulation and control. He joins the other crooks that use the poor, ignorant sheep to steal from those who work hard and believe in freedom. He knows this is wrong and yet he follows the ideology that has done more to harm America than all of our outside enemies.
When he stands before God, I hope he is forgiven.

  2. Is that guy related to ET?

  3. Dadof3 says:

Has a loud ring of truth to it. Matches all the input I’ve collected over the years.

Didn’t Ariana Huffington say she was first playing on the Republican side of things when she first came to America and switched sides for similar reasons?

  4. Mickey Shea says:

The father on the cartoon show Family Guy once said about
Carville, “He’s not just ugly, he’s circus ugly.”

  5. Doug says:

How else do you think Jokin’ Joe keeps his teeth so white and his tan so even? A quick trip to Tehran does wonders for the complexion!

  6. Mr Evilwrench says:

So, snakehead comes out and actually says it, which really shows his contempt for “his people”, because obviously he doesn’t care that they could read this. I’ve always figured that the rank and file, the rats on the street, were conscientious in their warped way, but were naive and easily led by the power seekers at he top. Here we have proof.

  7. Uncle Kevvie,on the prowl says:

Hey, give the ‘ Lewsiana Coon-Ass’ his props. He’s saying what I have been howling for decades.
“You don’t have to be an Objective thinker to be Progressive. You only need to fog up a mirror…”
Give the guy some credit. At least he was being honest about those he knows all too well. Learn from what he’s telling you.
    BTW, linked this from R S . T A S T Y !!!

  8. M. Wilson says:

Ronald Reagan once asked the American people to ask “whether a little intellectual elite in a far distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves”. In doing so he summed up the modern Democrat platform in a single sentence.

To believe that yes, this mythical elite can plan our lives better than we can, you must either be so dumb and enslaved as to believe yourself to be a perpetual victim who cannot run their own life or be so arrogant as to believe that you yourself ARE the elite who should be in charge, and everyone else is part of the “mindless masses” who must be herded like cattle because they are too dumb to live.

Anybody who has any respect at all for themselves or their fellow Americans must be a conservative in order to remain consistent with their beliefs.

  9. Sam Adams says:

Obviously Carville doesn’t believe that there are enough democrats who read to even worry about “the herd” turning on him (or his masters).

There really should be an intelligence test to determine if a person should vote.

  10. Dr. 9 says:

At least he’s honest. That makes him the rarest Demoncrat on earth. Funny thing is, the people are so gullible and dumb that they don’t even care that he’s right.

  11. Alphas red says:

Not to be a party pooper but I can’t find good data on this quote anywhere. Every reference is just a circular one between other references.

Best I can tell the quote started on a quote website.

Anyone know when and where this was said. “if I can cite it, I can use it”

  13. AC says:

The Democrat platform will be complete when 51% of the population is permanently hooked on Carville’s silage.

The resulting economic misery is known as social justice.

  14. Tchhht!!! says:

Hmm…I’m skeptical that he actually said that, but it does seem to go hand in hand with this:

  15. whotothewhat says:

“The voter is basically dumb and lazy. The reason I became a Democratic operative instead of a Republican was because there were more Democrats that didn’t have a clue than there were Republicans.”

    He summed up nicely.

    What an evil, psycho SOB.

  18. JDMedia says:

Whether he said it or not, the description is brilliant.

  19. RacKAttacK says:

somebody please make my day and find a credible source for this. I really hope this is legit…..otherwise it’s from some lame chain email…

  20. Vic Kelley says:

That’s a great photo of Mr. Carville. He looks to me like one of those poor fools that drinks bad Kool Aid and dies in an attempt to link up with the mother ship.

  21. chuck in st paul says:

So he’s just a self admitted evil, manipulating, clod. How could he NOT be in the Dhimmeroid Party.

  22. chuck in st paul says:

    Uncle Kevvie,on the prowl says:
“You don’t have to be an Objective thinker to be Progressive. You only need to fog up a mirror…”

Not true. I have proof! Every election thousands of dead folks walk to the polling places in Chicago and pull the handle.

  23. wasabi says:

I am a conservative but I doubt James Carville would have said something like this. I highly suggest that you verify the source lest you run the risk of looking like a fool if this quote turns out to be false.

  24. bobdog says:

“Sincerity – if you can fake that, you’ve got it made.”

  25. TheOtherJay says:

I really, really, really want to know where got this quote. Was it an interview? Was it published somewhere? Has it been confirmed by any more “recognizable” news outlets or blogs? This all seems all to contrived. As much as I want to believe this I don’t want to get caught in a Democrat snare to make us look like idiots. Didn’t your mother always tell you, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

  26. Jaego says:

Is he even human? No forehead. I looked through Carlton Coon’s Living Races of Man and none look like him. But he sure knows what he’s talking about…

  27. tickyul says:

Haha, that was nasty….is this real????

Kinda makes me look at the Republirat-Phonycons in a different light…..sorta!

  28. big-pete says:

Slow news day? Some crap posted on a board without a single reference? Might as well attribute it to Abe Lincoln. Love MB but honestly.

  29. Ringmaster says:

    Haw, haw, haw!!

  30. Son of Taz says:

Remember that he’s married to Mary Matalin, a Republican operative and IMO, someone that is genuine.

Maybe it’s just me, but I couldn’t live in a house with someone who is so pro-democrap, even if it does pay very well. There just wouldn’t be enough common ground between us.

Clearly, looks didn’t play a part in this strange attraction…..

So, it’s possible that Carville is more of a center-to-right leaning character, which attracted Matalin, but just plays an operative for the paycheck. He certainly wouldn’t be the first to do that.

  31. czekmark says:

This character description doesn’t have to be Carvilles. Carville is the business of manipulating people and what he may be saying is that Dcmocrats are easier to manipulate than Republicans.
