Legalized Murder in Holland

Down the slippery slope we slide, from abortion to euthanasia to medically justified murder:

A Dutch woman doctor who asked an elderly patient’s family to hold her down while she administered a fatal drug dose has been cleared under Holland’s euthanasia laws.

Mailonline reported that the patient fought desperately in an attempt not to be killed.

Jacob Kohnstamm, chairman of the Regional Review Committee, which considered the case, said: “I am convinced that the doctor acted in good faith…”

The victim suffered from dementia.

As healthcare becomes more socialized, our contempt for the value of life will accelerate. Why should taxpayers have to finance medical care for people who are through contributing to society? It’s best for all concerned if we just kill off the useless eaters — so long as we murder them “in good faith.”

Affordable healthcare.

They held down a woman and forced her to undergo a medical procedure she didn’t want? What do the feminists have to say about this?!

Everybody! Quick! Change your will so that none of your living relatives get any money is you die by legalize euthanasia. If that happens, leave all your money to a pro-life organization.

The Dutch love chocolate, tulips, windmills, fluffy bunnies and killing grandma to get her inheritance a little bit earlier.

I gather that the low countries have an episodic euthanasia/eugenics scandal problem. Every time they think they have it under control, and start to relax, another case bubbles to the surface. Having spent a few years in and around the Johns Hopkins undergraduate campus, I have come to suspect that this is less of a ‘Socialized Medicine’ problem that it is a ‘a certain percentage of doctors are assholes’ problem. They think that because the have achieved a moderate expertise in a fairly demanding field, this means that they are competent to deal with all kinds of complex issues that are, in fact, far outside or beyond their competence.

Doctors are chancre mechanics. Hirelings. Not divinely chosen High Priests.

Science hasn’t extended life. It’s just made it more expensive.

  6. Auburn Rapunzel says:

To you, perhaps. To others, it’s now a disposable commodity.

  7. geeknerd says:

Of course she suffered from dementia. Anyone who opposes legalized euthanasia must be crazy. Make sure your heirs don’t have YOU diagnosed as having dementia; it’s a short step to having you put down like a old dog.

  8. Mr. Freemarket says:

Plus, what kind of “medical care” is it when the objective is to kill you? If you kill someone with a needle rather than a gun, is that better?

  9. Mr. Freemarket says:

Well….actually….science and medicine have actually extended life. Without them, I would have been dead many years ago. God has spared me in order to antagonize leftists.

  10. Auburn Rapunzel says:

Yes, because guns are uncivilized phallic symbols and needles are traditionally associated with feminine crafts like sewing. To say otherwise is sexist.

Also, needles don’t make loud BANG! noises that frighten the delicate little lefties.

  11. Mr. Freemarket says:

Plus, doctors have taken an oath to never hurt someone, so whatever they do must be OK.

  12. ScarletPimpernel says:

That about sums it up, doesn’t it?

  13. ScarletPimpernel says:

This is frightening, to say the least. I thought we had a right to our own bodies. Or does that only apply to abortion?

75 years ago, Nazis doing this was bad. Today, progressives doing it is good?

Now we know why the Social Security Administration bought all that hollowpoint ammo under Obama– those damn old people can be a drain on the budget!

Logan’s Run, anyone? (Why does progressivism always tend toward things sci-fi movies warned us about in the ’70s?)

  17. MAS says:

Because, as the founding fathers said, some truths are self evident. Human nature being what it is the odds favor betting against our innate goodness…it’s called sin nature.

  18. MAS says:

The feminists say “Shut up granny and take the pill just like Obama said you should”.

I suppose the next step in our evolution is to put the mentally handicapped and other undesirables out of their misery and eliminate the economic drag they place on society.

I guess we might as well conduct a few scientific experiments along the way, since they’re going to die anyway.

The weak must be eliminated to purify the Master Race. That’s how nature works, nicht wahr?

    Sounds familiar….
