Look at the Bright Side

Are you better off than you were four years ago? Probably not.

But look at the bright side — you are almost certainly much better off than you will be four years from now.

Compliments of TheYoungCons, on a tip from Josh.

Cue music from Monty Python’s “Life of Brian,”

I simply do not have the energy to fight the left anymore. I came to the US in 1969 from Ukraine to escape socialism. Now, I think I will have to leave the US to escape it again!

I haven’t had full-time work for over 4 years, and thanks to the election, it’ll probably be underemployed like this for another 4 years. By then, my software development skills will be so outdated I won’t be hirable even if we clone Ronald Reagan (peace be upon him!) in time for the 2016 election.

My part-time work offered me group medical insurance, but it went up two months ago to a cost prohibitive $500/month, so I had to cancel (Thanks, Obamacare).

Since there’s no change in the House, Senate, or White House, nothing will be done about the fiscal cliff, so nobody will be hiring for another month and a half, and there’ll be a lot less jobs after 1/1/2013 tax hikes kill the weaker businesses.

Tell everyone who voted for PFL (President for Life) Obama, “It’s the Obama economy STUPID!”

    Love it!

Apparently many, if not most, of the rich are OK with paying more than they are now.

In an election that often focused on debates about class warfare, President Barack Obama was favored over multimillionaire businessman Mitt Romney in eight of the nation’s 10 wealthiest counties.

And his margin of victory in all eight counties was greater than that of the national vote, in which Obama was leading by 50 percent to 48 percent with 97 percent of precincts reporting.
    Hey, they asked for it…

As I said before, it is likely the nation will go off a fiscal cliff and that will be the legacy of Obama and the Democrats so it’s better it happens on his watch.

I always said we should clean house with the Democrats first, but this next 4 years may prove me wrong – may prove we need to start with the so-called conservatives.

    The election results, which i had predicted, proved the following things to me;

    1. The republican party is dead, or should be dead, and are now the official symbol of weakness. Because they totally lack the will, the passion, and the fire-in-the-belly to fight, they have allowed America to die.

    2. The Tea Party, like the old “silent majority” of the 60’s and 70’s, became just as toothless and useless because of it’s silence. IMO, they are now just as guilty of destroying my country as the republican party.

    3. If the MSM had any doubts as to whether it could con the sheeple anytime it wanted, those doubts are now gone.

    4. America is now “officially” a socialist (and soon Marxist) country, and apparently, many of our fellow citizens want it that way.

  7. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

The problem is the actual record shows Obama’s taxes lets them slide
    And butchers their competitors
Tax lawyers, trust fund brats, Lurch Kerry and Rev. Wright know which side their bread is buttered on

Hence why I skipped the yard signs this round.

I’ve talked to enough of my European friends who escaped from socialism shit-holes to know that these commie fucks are taking notes and making lists.

I don’t believe they understand what these concepts are, other than the odd chance they were told it would bring them more free sh**

Thanks, Ohioans who voted for Obummer, and all you other drones out there in the New (and improved?) America, fundamentally transformed from the greatest nation on the planet to just another also-ran socialist utopia. If we’re not there yet, we soon will be.

You actually had a chance to turn all this excrement around and take back your country, but you couldn’t do it, could you? Love those freebies too much, eh? Obama’s just too “likeable,” huh, too “cool.” Romney wasn’t perfect, wasn’t Reagan, so he had to go.

My only consolation, as it were, is that you will also have to live under this dictatorship (and what’s to stop our Dear Leader, Chairman Zero, from declaring himself El Presidente for Life?). Hope you enjoy the new America, drones! You damn sure deserve what you voted for . . .

I have only one large question… where will the Obama Phone lady be in 2016, when all the “rich” people’s money has been spent and her phone no longer works and cannot be paid for?
Voting is a right and any who didn’t action that right should be stuffed in a cold dark place. Because that is where the country is headed and they should get there first.

  14. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

where will the Obama Phone lady be in 2016,

Given the left’s propensity to pick winners and losers, my guess would be directer of marketing and research at TracFone

In 2008 I was self-supporting, had a decent-paying job w/benefits, lived alone in an apartment. Got laid off in 2010. In 2012, 401k money is gone, savings are gone, unemployment benefits are gone. I’m living with my sister, can’t cover my bills, the only job I’ve been able to get is for 10 hours on the weekends (on call) that pays peanuts, while health insurance costs $375.00 a month.

    What will 2016 bring?

To retain my sanity, I have simply stopped caring about whether my car gets repossessed, my credit is ruined, or if I can ever again afford to live independently. In Obama’s America, my situation is reduced to being grateful for a roof over my head, food to eat, and clothes to wear. If it wasn’t for family, who struggle weekly with their own bills, I would be homeless.

Mr. President, where are the f**king jobs? I am out of hope and just about out of change.

    How to do something:

Buy a little notebook. Every time you see a company back Obama in a big way–make a note. Then if there is any possible way not to buy their product–don’t buy it. The same with entertainers–when they make statements that approve the Obama agenda, never again pay for any of their product. And media that is biased should be shunned. Don’t buy their product, don’t read their publications, don’t watch or listen to their programs. Don’t go to their web sites. If you keep lists, you won’t make a mistake and accidentally support the very people who are doing this to our country.

And fight back. If friends are spouting the Democrat talking points, do you really want them for friends? Tell them what you think. Write bad reviews, if there is anything wrong with a product from one of these Obama supporting entities. A really bad review of a product on Amazon can put severe hurt to a company. Shower any paper, magazine, or blog that is in the middle with careful, polite but insistent feedback so that they know there is another side to any issue that tends to support Obama.

Half of us voted for the right side. If these traitors to America were to lose a big percentage of this half from their customer base, they might shut up. Or in the case of companies, media, and entertainers cease to matter.

  18. HappyImNotAmerican says:

You people really are hilarious, even if you don’t have job, why is that Obama’s fault? Maybe it has something to do with you or the fact that there’s an economic crisis going on even before Obama took office. Obama’s policies made it worse? Let’s take a look at countries with even more left-wing policies that are democracies:

    Unites States: 7.9%
    United Kingdom: 7.9%
    France: 10.2%
    Canada: 7.4%
    Germany: 6.5%
    Australia: 5.4%
    Japan: 4.2%
    Denmark: 4.8%
    Luxembourg (which has debt/GDP ratio of a mind-boggling 3,300%): 6.1%
    New Zealand: 7.3%
    South Korea: 2.9%
    Sweden: 7.4%
    Switzerland: 2.9%
    Netherlands: 6.6%
    Norway: 3.1%

If you extract countries like Portugal, Spain, Greece and Italy from this list (as these are the extremes of economic metldown), you get a pretty good picture: These “evil socialists” are doing better in economics that the United States. I would like to look up any libertarian nation, but no country has yet been stupid enough to adopt these doctrines – after the first Great Depression caused by such policies.

If you people were – in any way, shape, form or fashion – interested in the well-being of your country, you’d be Democrats. But you’re not, instead you’re claiming the mess you layed on the kitchen floor isn’t whiped away fast enough and about the fact that you life in a society were people don’t have to starve so a few more bucks are in your pockets. Either you people are really stupid, intellectually lazy or egotistical and anti-social.

So here’s my message to those who are unemployed: work your ass off, the President – nor matter what letter he may have behind his name – can’t get you a job. You have to work for that. You think you’re well educated? Well trained? Well, apparently not, because nobody wants to hire you. Look what your local college is doing, are they able to train you for another job? Yes? Go there, make yourself a better part of the workforce. Because that’s what good people do, they don’t sit in front of their computers whining about the politicians all day.

I refuse to let my circumstances dictate the fate of me and my family.

I’ve been “underemployed” by not working in my field for 2 years, since obama, but worked hard and we made it by the grace of God.

I’ve since returned to industry and have had work in my field but also have been supplementing my income with my own business by using skills learned while NOT in my field by being “underemployed.”

I also have written a book and am promoting that in my spare time and writing sequels etc.

So, I REFUSE to roll over and go quietly into the night. Yes I am disappointed and was in a funk yesterday along with everyone else who voted RR but I am no slave to this world order.

  20. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

We have enough like you already
I assume those are unemployment statistics.
As with our own propaganda arm of the government, each of those countries measures it in their own way.
To compare them is like herding moonbats
This is an indicator to watch
A countries success is it’s freedom from the Socialist boat anchor in key aria’s

  21. HappyImNotAmerican says:

    Ghost of FA Hayek:
Even if they all have different definitions, “employed” and “unemployed” are pretty clear words in all languages, either you have job or you don’t.

I respect the idealism, but it doesn’t help when your peers are whining for jobs. You can’t ignore what the rest of the world does and the history of our world has shown that those nations that stick to their ideals instead of what scientists and statistics say simply implode and fade away.

If you would rather implode than secede on what you belief makes an economy successful, have a fun time denying reality and rational thought and at the end of it all be a footnote in the history books.
