The government (BO et MSM) and bags o’ douche like Pierced-Head Morgan want to ban semiautomatic guns based on the history of the machine-gun ban. They argue (fallaciously) that nobody “needs” an automatic weapon. (Because they apparently know what people “need”).
Untrue.
Defense is returning superior fire power before the enemy gets out of bed in the morning.
It comes down to this: the machine-gun/automatic weapon ban should be repealed for the simple reason that women (or men) who are not particularly good shots, need to spray as many bullets as possible in as many directions as possible, in defense of life and limb.
That’s the minimum that I want for my loved ones if they are in danger; and my dogs can’t even lift the damn things.
I think most guys would certainly want their wives or daughters, if left home alone to defend themselves against 3-4 guys breaking into her house, to be armed with as many automatic weapons as she could get her hands on.
Who is the government (BO et MSM) to tell anyone what the limits are on their ability to defend themselves against bodily harm?
Just what qualifies them (especially, BO et MSM) to make that decision for anyone?
Why, if I were in BO’s position, I might just decide that you citizens only needed to snap rubber bands for your damned self-defense.

Moreover, from the looks of the military exercises in Miami and Houston over the last couple of days, there seems to be every rationale in the world to repeal the automatic weapons ban.
The 10 (or 7, or whatever) magazine limit is a dangerous argument. If you’re in the initiative position, eg on the attack, presumably in a “gun free zone”, you can set yourself up with however many of whatever you can get, legally or not, on some kind of vest or rig. Magazine changes hardly effect rate of fire. On the defense, you are at a great disadvantage. How could you live a normal life weighed down by ten to twenty seven-round magazines that you would need to be ready for an attack? And one round? What good could that possibly be? These idiots don’t deserve the courtesy of a response. It’s a shame their existence requires one.

I know it’s an ad for a Glock, however, in the time available to grab something, I would have preferred to see the lovely lady grab her shotgun. Then turn on the tactical light and wait. The surprise is coming.

In the UK, 60% of home burglaries happen while people are at home. In the US, 13% of home burglaries happen when people are at home. Knowledgeable criminals know that in the US, breaking into an occupied home is a good way to get shot.
One can also make the argument that an attacker who attacks an armed women has made the right choice. Few to no court costs. No need to warehouse another criminal. No public defender.
Of course someone will have to pick up the costs of the autopsy.

Had a problem several years ago with a person from the neighborhood.. He didn’t like something I did, so when I got home I put an unloaded AR-15, without the bolt in it. Police can and asked if they could come in, certainly says I.. Asking why I had the gun there, I asked who called them, can’t tell me that.. Showed them a video I took of said neighbor, cough, cough, OK, take the gun out of the window and we will deal with him.. He came by to accost me, seeing the gun made him decide it was a VERY bad idea.. Empty guns can be just as scary as loaded one’s
The unloaded was in the window, oooops, screw up..
