Needing Work, Cowardly Colin Kaepernick Abandons Anti-American Principles

Colin Kaepernick’s allegedly noble principles did not allow him to stand for the national anthem because the country that pays him $millions per year to be lousy at his profession oppresses people of his skin color in some undefined way. But now these principles have become inconvenient. Consequently, they go out the window:

The controversial player will stand for “The Star-Spangled Banner” next season, according to sources who spoke to ESPN Thursday. …

According to the ESPN report, Kaepernick “no longer wants his method of protest to detract from the positive change he believes has been created” — a change that comes one day after the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport revealed that the veteran quarterback has decided to opt out of his 49ers contract and is now a free agent.

No longer under contract with a terrible team that has no decent quarterback, Kaepernick is now on the free market, where his odious political stance comes at a cost. Sports media moonbats laud Kaepernick, but fans rightfully despise him, which makes him less valuable to team owners. It would be a shame if an oppressed person of color such as himself couldn’t sign a contract for at least $15,600,000 per year.

Now even Colin Cowherd loathes Kaepernick.

He can stand up, drape himself with the flag, and sing the anthem with all his heart…I won’t see it because he and the NFL/ESPN are dead to me.

    Too little, too late jerk.

This is a text book example of “overplaying your hand”. Sorry Colin, you lose.

There is always the CFL. And take some of those Hollyweird people with you.

Maybe during his (probably long term) unemployment, he’ll have the time to use his millions to rebuild Ferguson, Baltimore, and any other burned-and-looted-by-his -bros community. ……..yeah, right

I have a theory that Michael Sam bolted from the CFL when he saw the size of his paycheque. Also, being an NFL player is not necessarily an asset when trying out for the CFL.

  12. Bob Katt says:

Please, he needs work and has no other job skills. You could have Obama as Prime Minister too. win/win

The Chicago Bears are in desperate need of a new quarterback. But if this guy showed up in a Bears uniform in Soldiers Field, the fans would revolt. His act might fly in San Franscisco, but I doubt it would fly in too many other NFL cities. He’s already torched his brand.

  14. Steve2 says:

I doubt he even has any political stances, he’s just a squishy-brained sheep who does whatever he thinks will make him popular.

  15. grayjohn says:

He has no principles now, and had none then. He just thought it would be cool to be a dick. He doesn’t care about his heritage as long as he gets paid. Some losers are made not born.
