Now It’s Up to Us

No matter how you attempt to interpret John Roberts’s incomprehensible decision on ObamaCare, it has made one thing clear — we can’t count on the Supreme Court to defend liberty, so now it’s up to us:

The horrific damage done by “YOU LIE!” OBOZO:

In just over two years, “YOU LIE!” has exponentially expanded the size of the federal government and the number of Americans dependent upon it for their well being. The number of Americans dependent on food stamps is at a record high. He has taken over our healthcare system, two of our largest automobile manufacturers, and overseen spending that has placed our national debt at nearly $16,000,000,000,000, with over $5,000,000,000 of that coming from the actions of crazy ding-bat pelosi as The Worst Speaker of the House in history. Gas prices are up sharply – more than a 100% increase in per-gallon-price since “YOU LIE!” took office – yet his solution to such prices is characterized by a continued reliance on OPEC, coupled with a de jure ban on offshore drilling and a de facto ban on the expansion of onshore drilling (in places like the western states and Alaska). Unemployment remains over 8%, illegal immigrants are getting a free pass and increase in number with unsecured borders, the housing slump continues, public-sector unions are living high off the hog (i.e. taxpayers), private unions like UAW, crony capitalists and others are getting billions of tax dollars through special treatment by the “YOU LIE!” regime, and inalienable rights, such as religious freedom, are being attacked both explicitly and “under the radar” by the OBOZO regime.

America cannot survive “four more years” of this atrocious behavior. Help TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY in Nov. 2012 !

I noticed on the first segment the American flag is at half-staff (would have been better if flying in distress)while all those dupes were beholden to the gov’t and Obama’s (our) money. At the end when they start to fight the chains, the flag is restored. Also, Bush is ambivalent.

  3. IslandLifer says:

Bush is ambivalent? Bush is a POS and his opinion matters not.

  4. Anon-Y-Mouse says:

What a shame America has come down to this: citizens sitting around a TV and waiting to hear the outcome of life-or-death legislation like it was a GAME SHOW! We’re literally crossing our fingers and hoping we get “lucky”, counting on the benevolence of someone else to “save us”.

We dumped King George over that, and now our head is right back in the same old noose.

This better stop Nov. 6. We better send the message so loud and clear that no progressive will EVER get this chance again.

It’s now or never…and never again must we “hope” that someone in power will do the right thing by us.

    They will not.

  5. Erinyes says:

So what is everyone willing to do about it?

I would suggest buying firearms as a start. Send a message to the Feds that we are preparing to do what we must. The Second Amendment puts teeth behind the rest. Exercise it. Take it a step further as well, if you have the disposable income:

A free people ought not only to be armed but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well digested plan is requisite: And their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories, as tend to render them independent on others, for essential, particularly for military supplies.
—George Washington’s First Annual Message to Congress – January 8, 1790

  6. Anon-Y-Mouse says:

Well, I think we have one last chance to stop it at the ballot box. It won’t fix everything, but it could put us in “safe” mode, so we can then do the heavy lifting and fix as much of Obama’s rape of America as we can.

If the entitlement crowd is big enough and they vote to keep BHO, then it’s anybody’s guess what’s next. I would suggest organized revolt, but that’s tough in a country of 300 million. Are we ready to take up arms against our fellow citizens? Are we ready to go up against almost impossible odds in terms of winning, or even mere survival?

Easy to talk about, difficult to do. We’ll know our choices after November 6th.

  7. Mille says:

Reagan grouped with Lincoln and George Washington, I love it. And forget about those other losers to the left of the common man.

  8. Mike says:

Roberts did an Atlas Shrugged right back to us. He may have done the country a favor.

  9. Bob Roberts says:

I would call Roberts’ decision difficult, unpleasant and a lot of other things. As it is legalese “incomprehensible” almost fits, but he made it clear – at least in his interpretation of things he is required to do all he can to save legislation. Changing or eliminating it is after all reserved for the Congress in all but the worst cases. This is an extremely bad case, but those who wrote obamacare were smart in the most sinister ways and so they did a good job of staying just inside the limits that Roberts feels would have given him justification to go the other way, unfortunately.

In any case, as important as this case was and as disappointed as I am with the outcome, you have to remember that he’s really giving the left fits for being “way too conservative” despite our disappointment over how he handled this case.

Yeah, I’d stop short of calling his opinion “incomprehensible” perhaps, but I can’t blame others for doing so.

  10. Bob Roberts says:

And you have to remember, he makes a pretty good case explaining that the Constitution left him no real option but to interpret the statute generously – which is exactly what he did.

We wanted a strict Constitutionalist – in this case it hurt us that we got one. I see his logic concerning why he essentially had to decide this the way he did.

I don’t have to like it, but I can’t help but agree with it.

  11. SNuss says:

From the majority opinion, I find this comment from the Chief Justice quite interesting.

“It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices”.

My interpretation of it is this: The Chief Justice is (politely) saying that if the citizenry is stupid enough to vote for those who would pass this kind of Socialist/Marxist legislation, so long as it meets ANY Constitutional standards, you get the government that you deserve.

Admiral Yamamoto is reported to have said (after the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor): “I fear all we have done today is to awaken a great, sleeping giant.”

We should use this unexpected defeat, in the same way we responded to the Pearl Harbor attack, to awake the “silent majority”, and defeat Obama and his minions at the ballot box, in November.

Actually, the largest quantity of people who need to be removed in order to achieve control is 535; the Senate and the House. Remove them, and the country is ours again. Hussein will have long since fled like the coward he is.

“Are we ready to take up arms against our fellow citizens?”
These aren’t “fellow citizens”. They’re liberals; screaming deceitful arrogant self-absorbed parasites. Their sole purpose is to suck the life out of everyone else while they live high on the hog, and they don’t care who else suffers as long as they get what they want. Taking them out en masse will be a joy.

“Are we ready to go up against almost impossible odds in terms of winning, or even mere survival?””
…would you prefer a life of servitude to a bunch of overweight self-aggrandized politicians who created laws that bind and gag us, while exempting themselves? Do you want to live in a country where you can’t afford basic necessities while the “leaders” wallow in wealth that they stole from us? Yeah…me either. The words of Patrick Henry ring true more loudly now than before the original American Revolution. Only this time, it’s “Give me liberty and give THEM death”.

  13. Anon-Y-Mouse says:

Hey Laurie…don’t bitch me out. Those are valid questions I was asking. I see a lot of blow-hard “I’m armed to the teeth and ready to kick ass” survival-type talk here. It’s easy to run at the mouth, it’s another to take that kind of action. I’ve had someone shot right in front of me. A bad guy who asked for it. It wasn’t something I care to see again if I can help it.

Capping another live human is not easy. Shooting your neighbor because they’re trying to get some food is not easy. Civilians going up against the military (who have the absolute advantage) and knowing they’ll most likely get their head blown off in a spray of pink fluid and bone chips is not easy.

Will I stand with the Founders? You bet. Will I do what I have to do to save America and the Constitution? You bet. Will I sit here and say I’m not afraid or it’ll be easy or I won’t have moments of self-doubt?

Nope. I’m not Rambo, just a guy who wants to live free.

  14. LMMA says:

Maybe we will get lucky and Roberts and the traitors & Liberals he supports will get Alzheimer’s ( never before would I have hoped for such, but we née all the help we can get )

  15. Paul Revere Says; says:

The Liberals are coming! The Liberals are coming! Grab your weapons and ready yourselves.

  16. Paul Revere says:

Every able bodied man and boy, train now. Get fit. Gestapo will be coming.

Not easy, but possible. Consider what happened in the Iranian revolution. Large parts of the military defected to the rebels. Remember, our military consists largely of individuals who support Republican candidates. The left is always trying to screw them. Also, remember that a rag tag bunch of Afgans put a smack down on the Russian army. Reminds me of the continental army putting a smack down on the British army.

    Just my two cents.
