Obama’s Sequester

As Obama continues to hype the sequester he created as the worst thing to happen since Bush’s tax cuts caused global warming (even claiming that the sequester would affect the National Drug Intelligence Center, which no longer exists), he also continues to do absolutely nothing to avoid its implementation:

Good thing global warming isn’t real; the Campaigner in Chief spews a lot of unnecessary carbon.

Obviously the sequester is yet another farce: a phony crisis designed to help his media enablers make Republicans look bad. The worst thing about the sequester is that the reduction in spending growth it entails is insignificant:

Yet Obama shouts on every channel that urchins will starve and first responders will have to be laid off in droves. No media source that fails to call him on his hysterical lies should be trusted as a valid source of information.

On tips from RF, Nate, Tim from TK, and Sam Adams.

Nappy’s already started to release illegal aliens in Arizona due to “budget cuts”.

Obama’s constant campaigning reminds me of a little dog chasing a car barking ferociously. But once he catches the car he hasn’t a clue about what to do.

The terms of debate are now such that “spending cuts” are now a surrender to: small cuts to MASSIVE increases
    Thanks Republicans

Thats all what the liberals want TAXES,TAXES and even more TAXES

  8. Sam Adams says:

Republican committee chairman should start calling Cabinet Secretaries and put them on notice that they will need to justify what they have decided to cut.

For example…Air Traffic Controllers? The first group that the FAA decides to cut are the air traffic controllers?

How about we cut the food stamp program for pets first?

If any air traffic controllers are laid off due to the sequester dog and pony show,it clearly wouldn’t be safe for dear leader to travel. So the first thing congress must do,for his own protection,is to cut the white house travel budget to zero until the child in chief grows up and negotiates in good will.

  12. M.Wilson says:

As usual when Democrats talk of “cuts”, not only will every single noticeable cut be made against the Military in order to maximize the negative impact on our national security, but every penny of military spending cut will be replaced with a dime of vote-buying (aka welfare spending) in order to ensure zero real cuts are made to the budget as a whole.

Maximum loss for minimum benefit: the Democrat way.

  13. SNuss says:

@ Sam Adams: The food stamp program for pets is PRIVATELY funded, not tax-funded.

If you want REAL fiscal change, without ANY cuts, just freeze spending at ACTUAL 2012 levels. No baseline budgeting allowed. That will save more money than the sequester.

  15. James says:

It’s amazing how somehow we taxpayers are supposed to figure out how to deal with 2% less income after BO’s gimmicky “payroll tax holiday” expired on Jan 1, yet the Federal Gov’t can’t figure out how to deal with 2% less.

Even still, it not even a fair comparison, since the 2% “cut” was really just a reduction the planned spending increases. The Fed budget is virtually the same as last year, but 2% increase we taxpayers experienced is a real decrease in our take-home pay from last year.
