Will the last for-profit company to leave California please turn off the lights?

“Nestle USA is the latest business to move operations from California to Virginia, due to the Golden State’s burdensome tax rate, skyrocketing cost of living and culture of anti-corporate activism, the Investor’s Business Daily reported.”

“According to a report by business relocation expert Joseph Vranich, from 2008 through 2015, at least 1,687 California companies moved operations out of the state.”

True story….I knew of a business in Los Angeles county that paid such high fees for discharging process water, that they moved to another county…and saved enough to pay for their move in something like less than two years.

They’re claiming he’s “shutting down part of the First Amendment” – wrong. They can still say whatever they want. He’s not shutting down anything. But he’s perfectly within his right to NOT be generous to those who are so petty and evil to him.

MSNBC’s Peter Alexander complained that the conservative journalists he did call on didn’t ask “real questions” like he would have.

We can’t speak for Trump, but one reason he may not be in a rush to give MSNBC more airtime is that they seem intent on using it to liken him to Adolf Hitler.
On Trump’s Inauguration Day, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow likened Trump’s election to “Hitler’s rise.” Her colleague Chris Matthews described Trump’s inaugural address as “Hitlerian.” Matthews also mocked Trump’s family, likening them to the Russian imperial family, the Romanovs. He’s so fond of this metaphor he now uses it all the time.
CNN reporters were likewise angry at not being called on during today’s Trump presser.
ABC’s Matthew Dowd went so far as to claim today that Trump is “shutting down” the First Amendment by not calling on liberal media outlets during these press conferences.
“Well, I was struck by — when you look at this, this is two democracies, two important democracies in the world and basically the President of the United States is shutting down the part of the First Amendment by not taking questions that are going to be any way antagonistic in this,” Dowd said.

Not taking just any questions – and how about also demanding to review the questions in advance, or even PLANTING the questions in advance – as Hillary did during her campaign.

What he means by “antagonistic” questions, of course, is making a statement that is NOT TRUE then demanding that Trump or his minions accept the “NOT TRUE” premise of the question prior to answering.

  5. Mr. Freemarket says:

Have you filled out your Form 1040 yet?

“At the beginning of February, the IRS quietly changed the way you can fill out your 1040 tax form, allowing you to submit one without filling out line 61. This line, for most tax filers, is where you would notify the IRS if you had health coverage during the previous year. As Obamacare was mandatory, leaving that line blank would have caused your 1040 to be rejected.

But now filling out this line is optional, allowing your 1040 form to go through without telling the government anything about your healthcare situation. According to a notice by the IRS, this rule took effect February 3rd.”

That’s right, kids. Uncle Sam now no longer demands you answer whether you were covered by healthcare insurance. Now if they could just get away from wanting to know how much money you earn…

  6. Mr. Freemarket says:

What? The President didn’t bow to the throne of liberal journalists for the third time? How dare he. They are the ones who can make or break a president.

  7. Bodhisattva says:

So who did Trump call on today? The Christian Broadcast Network and Both of these news organizations have run plenty of negative Trump stories. Townhall’s two most well known pundits — Katie Pavlich and Guy Benson — were both outwardly opposed to Trump during the Republican primary.
One thing they haven’t done? Publish anti-Trump fake news and/or compare him to history’s most infamous mass murderers.

Trump is sending a clear signal. Stop with the BS, stop with the fake news, then you’ll get your chance to ask a question.

  8. Bodhisattva says:

The Webster Parish Convention and Visitors’ Bureau commission voted to fire Executive Director Lynn Dorsey, 61, after she “accidentally” live-streamed a nude video to the bureau’s Instagram account which she said was intended for her husband.

In favor of terminating Dorsey were commissioners Jo McCullough, Irving and Calvert, while Huffman and Nickey Patel opposed the motion. Commissioner Ty Pendergrass abstained from voting due to a conflict of interest. Board chairman Jerry Madden also abstained as the chairman only votes in the event of a tie.

Now if she had been 21 and perhaps unmarried, the vote may have went another way?

Judge Orders Mom Not to Get Pregnant Again After She Loses Fourth Child Due to Neglect

The lunatic libs just established precedent that even gays, who will very likely wind up molesting any children they get their hands on, in many cases, have a right to raise children and they’re busy creating “science” out of whole cloth that “proves” lesbians make better parents than traditional male-female couples.

So how can this ruling stand – even though I agree it’s necessary. And what you going to do if she DOES have another kid? Forced sterilization? Life sentence so she can’t get pregnant again – and that won’t necessarily stop her either…

She was a 71 year old woman!

Orange County Congressman Dana Rohrabacher says a 71-year-old staffer at his Huntington Beach office was knocked unconscious during a protest, but the protesters [LIED] say they were delivering Valentine’s Day cards.

The “assault” on Rohrabacher’s district director, Kathleen Staunton, happened Tuesday afternoon during a protest by a group calling themselves Indivisible OC. Police confirmed they were called to the scene, but made no arrests.

Staunton was trying to exit through the front door of Rohrabacher’s office to visit a restroom when, according to Rohrabacher, a protester yanked the door open, causing her to fall and hit her head. The door also pushed over a 2-year-old child.

“I am outraged beyond words that protesters who mobbed my Huntington Beach office violently knocked down my faithful district director, Kathleen Staunton, causing her to be hospitalized,” Rohrabacher said. “And, yes, deliberate or not, the incident came as part of a mob action that not only intimidates but coerces. Though the protesters think of themselves as idealists, they engaged in political thuggery, pure and simple.”

It sounds like they DELIBERATELY put a 2 year old child at risk. The person who did that should be investigated and should probably have parental rights terminated.

As I post, near real time weather radar shows the Feather River watershed – that feeds the lake behind the Oroville Dam – is getting hit with the first of 3 storms, with the third to be the worst but this one already dumping significant rain on the Feather River watershed. They’ve lowered the lake level, continue to do so and have done what they can to shore up the eroding area at the base of the emergency spillway. Hopefully it will be enough.

Best get used to this – I think it may be a trend. We were way too exposed anyway.

Investors are cashing in their investments in the U.S.

Now this MAY have been due to Obama’s policies and the dismal outcome that was predicted due to the “certainty” that Hillary Clinton was going to get elected. So we may see it reverse… but I doubt it. 8 years of Obama did a lot of damage and we’re starting to see the inflation – which will be blamed on Trump.

80 To 85 Percent Of Pro Athletes Are Conservative [in this guy’s opinion] and yet ESPN is hard left.

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling stated he believes that 80 to 85 percent of professional athletes are conservatives.

Schilling made the statement during an interview with Chris Stigall on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, citing few athletes that expressed support for Hillary Clinton and are drawn to conservatism through the appreciation of hard work.

“Look around professional sports and look at how many athletes there are and look at how many have come out and spoke out in favor of Clinton or in favor of liberals. They are because it’s mainstream in the public eye to do that right now. All the rest are, for the most part, are conservative because you don’t come out and speak about stuff like that…It’s work ethic,” Schilling said. “To get where they go, to get where a professional athlete gets, you have to work your a** off your entire life. You understand and appreciate an incredibly hard day’s work that, hopefully, will pay off in the future.”

He addressed the end of his time working for ESPN, saying they were dishonest about the reason he was fired and defended comments he made while working there.

“What I care about is that they lie about it. ESPN fires me for, apparently, being intolerant because I was actually commenting around the fact men should use the men’s room and women should use women’s room. Apparently, that was enough, the straw that broke the camel’s back,” Schilling explained. “Then, they come out and act as if they are a tolerant group and they’ve gone full mental since then. They’ve gone way over the edge on the left, having a tribute to Obama after his last day in office, which gave me acid reflux.”

Schilling, who now hosts an internet radio show for the political site Breitbart, also discussed the surprise resignation of President Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser, Michael Flynn, not believing the affair rose the the level that would require removal from office.

“I’m incredibly disappointed about Gen. Flynn and what’s happened. I think that, in and of itself, it’s a bad sign organizationally,” Schilling said. “I’m disappointed that the team didn’t do a better job. I don’t think it’s an offense he should’ve resigned over. Politics is not a land of second opportunities unless you’re a liberal and you’ve committed a crime. Then everybody wants to feel sorry for you and make sure you get a second chance. That’s the only way you can explain Marion Barry or any of the frauds. It’s the only way you can explain Hillary Clinton.”

His actions leave me with considerable doubts about whether his vision for the EPA is consistent with the Agency’s critical mission to protect human health and the environment.”

Well there are two different things – the U.S. debt and the market. Actually the money coming OUT of U.S. debt has to go somewhere… perhaps some of it is helping cause the “irrational exuberance” in market, which likely is over valued and due for a correction – which will also be blamed on Trump when it happens. I see they’re already blaming the Oroville Dam problem on “global warming” (see reply below by Torcer with this link to weasel zippers.

But if the dam does fail they will blame Trump – mark my words.

And the climate alarmists are referring to “more extreme rainfalls”, but the rain falling in California is no more extreme or unusual than the lack of rain that preceded it – normal, natural weather patterns that have been occurring for millennia here and are actually written into the very stone of California itself.

60% of Refugee Arrivals Since Judge Halted Trump’s Order Come From 5 Terror-Prone Countries

Sixty percent of the refugees admitted into the United States since a federal judge halted President Trump’s executive order designed to prevent “foreign terrorist entry into the United States” originate from five of the seven countries identified by the administration and its predecessor as most risky.

Of the total 2,576 refugees resettled in the U.S. from around the world since U.S. District Judge James Robart’s February 3 restraining order, 1,549 (60.1 percent) are from Syria (532), Iraq (472), Somalia (363), Iran (117), and Sudan (65). No refugees have arrived from the other two applicable countries, Yemen and Libya.

Of the 2,576 refugees to have arrived since Feb. 3, 1,424 (55.3 percent) are Muslims – 817 Sunnis, 132 Shi’ites, and 475 refugees self-identified simply as Muslims, according to State Department Refugee Processing Center data.

Of the refugees hailing from the specified countries of terrorist concern, Muslims accounted for the overwhelming majority of those admitted in all cases except for Iran.

Muslims comprised 99.6 percent of the admissions from Syria; 73.5 percent of those from Iraq; 99.7 percent of those from Somalia; and 93.8 percent of those from Sudan. Of the Iranian refugees admitted, by contrast, only 9.4 percent were Muslims, while just under 60 percent were Christians of various denominations.

Trump’s Jan. 27 order barred entry to the U.S. of all refugees for 120 days; prohibited entry to refugees from Syria indefinitely; and blocked all entry – immigrant and non-immigrant – by nationals of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Libya and Yemen for 90 days.

(The order does not itself name the seven countries, referring instead to “countries referred to in section 217(a)(12) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1187(a)(12).” That law, signed by President Obama in Dec. 2015, required additional security for arrivals from Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Sudan and any other country designated by the Department of Homeland Security as a source of legitimate terrorism concerns. Two months later Obama’s DHS added Somalia, Yemen and Libya to the list of “countries of [terrorist] concern.”)

ACTUALLY, the order DID name 1 country directly – Syria.
