  3. Bodhisattva says:

Generally (not UNIVERSALLY, but generally), it is normal for men and women to adapt to the realities of their biology and also their mentality. Men and women have clear differences in both their bodies and their minds. GENERALLY these differences predispose them to be better at certain things and not so good at others. There are exceptions, but GENERALLY this is the case.

Those who don’t accept this FACT OF NATURE AND LIFE are mentally ill, or at least mentally disturbed, by their own choice.

  4. Bodhisattva says:

No real surprise here – though this again is a GENERAL RULE and there are EXCEPTIONS.

Queer punk band PWR BTTM cancels tour, loses label amid sexual abuse allegations

On Friday, the popular queer-punk band PWR BTTM was supposed to be celebrating the release of “Pageant,” its highly anticipated second album. The duo, which was birthed at Bard College and signed to the respected indie punk label Polyvinyl, had its devoted fan base abuzz and were plotting a spring tour.

But in a Facebook post a few days before the release, an acquaintance made explosive allegations about the band’s behavior, accusing member Ben Hopkins of “inappropriate sexual contact with people despite several ‘nos’ and without warning or consent.”

Within days, PWR BTTM went from future stars to pariahs. In survival mode, the group, which also includes Liv Bruce, issued a statement that addressed the issue head-on. Noting that they were surprised by the allegations, the joint statement pledged to address them “with openness and accountability.”

Hillary Clinton Launches Unlimited ‘Dark Money’ Group
The failed presidential candidate bemoaned “dark money” on the campaign trail, but now she’s launching a new 501(c)(4).

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton officially launched a new organization on Monday, “Onward Together,” with the stated goal of “advancing the vision that earned nearly 66 million votes in the last election.” Put more bluntly, the group’s mission is to advance Clinton’s agenda, which was unable to defeat Donald Trump.

But buried on the donation page is this nugget:

Contributions or gifts to Onward Together, a 501(c)(4) organization, are not tax deductible as charitable contributions or as business deductions.

Alcohol does not alter personality, say scientists

There is no such thing a ‘happy drunk’ scientists have concluded after finding that alcohol does not radically change personality.

Although many people blame drinking for alterations in their usual behaviour, new research shows that there is little shift in character between sober and squiffy.

In fact, the only change is that people become more extroverted. But it is simply a louder version of their usual personality.

There’s a movement, not necessarily a strong or successful one, not yet anyway, to get the more lunatic liberal moonbats to leave the Democrat party. I know a guy who tunes pianos, has a truck that he transports them in, who put a huge ad for Bernie Sanders on the side and now he’s got the name of the group that’s pushing people to leave the Democratic party there below it. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/11/21/democrats-answer-is-always-the-same-move-more-left

Democrats’ Answer Is Always the Same: Move More Left
Nearly every time the Democrats face a crisis, their answer is the same—move left. This time, they’re about to fall off the edge.

With Hillary Clinton’s defeat the Obama era ended abruptly. This was not the outcome the polls and the media had predicted. There was conjecture that when Trump inevitably lost the election, the Republican Party would unravel and perhaps cease to exist. But now it is the Democrats who are in disarray after losing the Presidency and control of the Senate. How did this happen?
Twenty years ago, I wrote a book titled Divided They Fell: The Demise of the Democratic Party: 1964-1996. The book traced how the Democrats shifted from a mainstream centrist party to one of the left, adopting policies that eventually alienated many Americans, causing them to move over to the Republican column. The 2016 election is the result of that process.
The seeds of Trump’s victory were planted in the first “progressive” reforms instituted during and after the campaign of George McGovern in 1972, marking the beginning of the Democrats’ decline. At the Chicago convention, the McGovern Democrats pushed out the old party bosses and trade union leaders, and put in their place self-proclaimed progressives chosen by the identity group to which they belonged; i.e., African-Americans, students, women, etc.
In carrying this out, the Chicago delegation that had been put together by the union leaders was literally kicked out of the convention. Attacking organized labor as a “conservative” group made many union Democrats slowly move into the ranks of the Republican Party. That trend culminated during the Ronald Reagan campaign, producing the large group dubbed “Reagan Democrats.”
The Democrats had begun their long march to the left by choosing to appeal to liberal constituency groups rather than the traditional electorate that made up the old New Deal-Fair Deal coalition. They also instituted quotas to make sure that future delegates would consist of a solid representation of members of these identity groups through institution of a quota system. As McGovern explained: “The way we got the quota thing through was by not using the word ‘quotas.’”

    What is it coming to?

    This:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2017/05/15/progressives-launch-challenges-to-democrats-and-a-congressman-signs-up/?utm_term=.bd5adff0c07e

Progressives launch challenges to Democrats, and a congressman signs up

Just days after Sen. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va.) drew his first real Republican opponent, he got unwelcome but expected news from his left. Paula Swearengin, an environmental activist who has never run for office, would challenge him in the Democratic primary — more than a year away. That news was worth a special segment on “The Young Turks,” the progressive Web series hosted by Cenk Uygur, who launched a “Justice Democrats” project to encourage primaries against people like Manchin.

“His time in the Senate is about to run out,” said Uygur on May 9.

One day later, Uygur invited Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) on the show for another announcement. The freshman from the Bay Area, who defeated a Democratic incumbent to win his seat, would be Justice Democrats’ “champion” in Congress. Uygur played “Stars and Stripes Forever” to celebrate the news.

“It’s time that the Democrats had a bold, clear, progressive vision,” Khanna said. “It’s time that we had spine.”

D.C. police, the lead agency on this murder investigation for the past ten months, have insisted this was a robbery gone bad when there appears to be no evidence to suggest that.

Rod Wheeler, a private investigator hired by the Rich family, suggests there is tangible evidence on Rich’s laptop that confirms he was communicating with WikiLeaks prior to his death.

Wheeler also told us, “I have a source inside the police department that has looked at me straight in the eye and said, ‘Rod, we were told to stand down on this case and I can’t share any information with you.’ Now, that is highly unusual for a murder investigation, especially from a police department.”

Some business owners along Bessemer Street where the homeless congregate say the situation has improved, but more tents now line the adjacent Orange Line busway bike path, which continues to attract drug dealing, prostitution and defecation in the streets.

“It looks really bad, disgusting,” said Artour Teroganesian, who owns an auto repair shop on Bessemer Street, west of Cedros Avenue.

FBI arrests Tucson man over threats to U.S. Rep. Martha McSally

The FBI arrested a TUSD employee on suspicion of threatening U.S. Rep. Martha McSally.

FBI agents arrested Steve Martan, 58, in connection with three messages left on the congressional office voicemail on May 2 and May 10, according to a criminal complaint filed May 12 in U.S. District Court in Tucson. Martan is a campus monitor at Miles Exploratory Learning Center in the Tucson Unified School District. He was placed on home assignment and told not to come into work as the district investigates the allegations.

The voicemails contained threats to McSally, including that she should “be careful” when she returns to Tucson and that her days “were numbered.” He threatened to shoot her in one of the expletive-filled messages.

The complaint stated Martan told agents he was venting frustrations with McSally’s congressional votes in support of the president of the United States.

Martan was accused of threatening to assault and murder a United States official with intent to impede the official’s duties and to retaliate against an official for the performance of the official’s duties, according to the complaint.

Phone company records showed Martan owned the phone used to make the threats and agents found the phone at Martan’s residence. Martan told agents he used the phone to call McSally’s office, according to the complaint.

Standing outside the congresswoman’s home in L.A. are over a dozen protesters, a mariachi band and Omar Navarro. He ran against Waters and lost in 2016 but he’s getting ready for round two in 2018.

Justice Scalia Believed Supreme Court was Being Surveilled by Obama

Justice Scalia told me that he often thought the court was being surveilled. And he told me that probably four or five years ago…If they had to unmask Senator Paul’s name to reveal a conversation he was having with a foreign agent and the foreign agent was hostile to the United States they can do that. That’s not what he’s talking about. They’re talking about unmasking him when he’s having a conversation with his campaign manager when he’s running in the Republican primary.

Obama took the already bloated, over-empowered Federal government and used it as a weapon against countless American citizens. If the Supreme Court was not spied on, after Congress was admittedly spied on and the IRS was admittedly targeting Conservative non-profits, they would be the only one.

    Scalia dies soon thereafter.

I Know One of the Sources
    Erick Erickson | May 16, 2017, 09:49am
What sets this story apart for me, at least, is that I know one of the sources. And the source is solidly supportive of President Trump, or at least has been and was during Campaign 2016. But the President will not take any internal criticism, no matter how politely it is given. He does not want advice, cannot be corrected, and is too insecure to see any constructive feedback as anything other than an attack.

So some of the sources are left with no other option but to go to the media, leak the story, and hope that the intense blowback gives the President a swift kick in the butt. Perhaps then he will recognize he screwed up. The President cares vastly more about what the press says than what his advisers say. That is a real problem and one his advisers are having to recognize and use, even if it causes messy stories to get outside the White House perimeter.

I am told that what the President did is actually far worse than what is being reported. The President does not seem to realize or appreciate that his bragging can undermine relationships with our allies and with human intelligence sources. He also does not seem to appreciate that his loose lips can get valuable assets in the field killed.
    [..]
This is a real problem and I treat this story very seriously because I know just how credible, competent, and serious — as well as seriously pro-Trump, at least one of the sources is.
