Illegals jump over border fence — as MSNBC reports on Trump wall!

An MSNBC reporter recently received a real world lesson in why President Trump’s promised border wall is crucially important to stop illegal immigration along the U.S.-Mexico border.

A reporter covering prototypes of Trump’s proposed border wall taking shape near San Diego, when the interview was interrupted by a group of “migrants” hopping over the existing fence.

“What happened?” the reporter shouted as a group of agents on horseback move in to nab the border jumpers. “The people are crossing!”

“Almost on cue, a group of asylum-seekers, migrants not from Mexico, jumped over the existing fence to turn themselves in to border agents on horseback,” the reporter narrated.

“It’s like, a small group of three people jumped over in the middle of the day,” he told a border patrol agent he was interviewing. “There’s a girl there in a pink backpack. Can you explain to me what’s going on?”

The agent said it’s just another day at work fighting the never-ending battle to secure the nation’s southern border.

“This is the reality of every day border enforcement. The United States is still the draw, the ultimate draw, for people that have dire situations where they’re at,” the agent said.

“We’re going to continue to witness this. It plays out on a regular basis for us,” he said.

“Customs and Border Protection is paying $20 million to six construction companies from Mississippi, Maryland, Alabama, Texas and Arizona” to construct the models by the end of the month, after which CBP will evaluate them based on three criteria, NPR reports.

Kate Steinle trial starts with opening statements, emotional testimony from father

The undocumented immigrant accused of shooting and killing Pleasanton native Kate Steinle was aiming toward her and knew what he was doing, a prosecutor argued Monday at the start of a politically charged murder case that sparked a nationwide debate over immigration policy.

But a defense attorney said Steinle’s death was the result of an accidental gunshot and a “freakish ricochet” of the bullet that struck her.

The trial of Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, who allegedly shot 32-year-old Steinle on San Francisco’s Pier 14 in July 2015, kicked off on Monday with opening statements and brief but emotional testimony from Steinle’s father, who was walking with her during the shooting.

The closely watched case has attracted national attention because of its connection to immigration policy — Garcia Zarate, a Mexican citizen, was released from a San Francisco jail two and a half months before the shooting instead of being deported because of the city’s sanctuary city policy. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and other conservatives seized on the shooting as an argument for tougher immigration laws.

What with our refusal to accept the global warming scam… scientists are wondering,

We don’t know why the universe isn’t destroying itself

Our universe shouldn’t exist, scientists say.

The most elite scientists in the world are still struggling to find why exactly our universe didn’t destroy itself as soon as it came into existence. That’s what science says should have happened – but it clearly hasn’t, since you’re here reading this, as far as we know.

At the beginning of the universe, according to the standard model, there equal amounts of matter and anti-matter. The trouble with that is that they would each have annihilated each other, leaving none of the matter that surrounds us today.

Researchers have been frantically looking for some difference between matter and anti-matter that could explain why the universe is still around. But they have tried a range of different possibilities – that they have different mass, electric charge, or something else – but have found no difference.

That has led researchers to question why the universe is still around at all.

OF course they’re ALSO asking why the Earth hasn’t turned into Venus yet…

A University of Illinois math professor believes that algebra and geometry perpetuate “white privilege” because Greek terms give Caucasians unearned credit for the subject. But that isn’t the professor’s only complaint. She also believes that evaluations for math proficiency perpetuates discrimination against minority students, if they do worse than their white counterparts. Rochelle Gutierrez argues in a newly published math education book for teachers that they must be aware of the identity politics surrounding the subject of mathematics. “On many levels, mathematics itself operates as Whiteness,” she argues with complete sincerity, according to Campus Reform. “Who gets credit for doing and developing mathematics, who is capable in mathematics, and who is seen as part of the mathematical community is generally viewed as White.”

For months, Congressional Republicans have watched in a combination of wonderment and terror as President Donald Trump has swerved all over the political world — picking fights, fueling controversies and, generally speaking, making a mess of things. On Tuesday, Republicans finally took some action — doing one of the only things left to them: They launched investigations of the past Democratic administration and the last Democratic presidential nominee! House Intelligence Commitee Chairman Devin Nunes announced Monday afternoon his committee — along with the Oversight and Government Reform Committee — was opening up a probe into a US-Russia uranium deal that occurred during when Barack Obama was president and Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. “We’re not going to jump to any conclusions at this time,” insisted Nunes.

7 Uranium One Facts Every American Should Know
Here are the seven facts about the Uranium One deal you need to know:

    1. Peter Schweizer Broke the Uranium One Scandal
Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer broke the Uranium One scandal in his book Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich. In the book, he reported that Clinton’s State Department, along with other federal agencies, approved the transfer of 20 percent of all U.S. uranium to Russia and that nine foreign investors in the deal gave $145 million to Hillary and Bill Clinton’s personal charity, the Clinton Foundation.

    2. The New York Times Confirmed the Scandal in 2015
The New York Times confirmed Schweizer’s Uranium One revelations in a 4,000-word front-page story by a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter. It detailed how the Russian energy giant Rosatom had taken over the Canadian firm with three separate purchases between 2009 and 2013, largely coinciding with Hillary Clinton’s time as secretary of state.

3 The FBI Uncovered Evidence that Russian Money Was Funneled to the Clinton Foundation

    4. Congress Is Now Investigating
The Senate Judiciary Committee has launched a probe into the scandal and has sent requests for more information to 10 federal agencies involved in the approval of the partial sale of Uranium One, asking what they knew about the FBI investigation and when.

    5. Bill Clinton Was Paid $500,000 for a Speech in Moscow
Bill Clinton bagged a $500,000 speech in Moscow paid for by a Kremlin-backed bank shortly after Russia announced its intention to take a majority stake in the company. According to the Times, Clinton traveled to Moscow in June 2010, the same month Rosatom struck its deal for its majority stake in Uranium One.

    6. The Clinton Foundation Took Big Bucks from Uranium Investors
According to theTimes, The Clinton Foundation received $2.35 million in donations from Ian Telfer, a mining investor who was also the chairman of Uranium One when Rosatom acquired it. It also received $31.3 million and a pledge for $100 million more from Frank Giustra, the Canadian mining financier whose company merged with Uranium One.

FLAKE FLAKES – The Democrats may not have to fight to get control of the Senate – and the power to convict upon impeachment. It looks like Republicans are going to just give it to them. And Flake has revealed he’s as dishonest as the Democrats:

Sen. Jeff Flake abruptly announced Tuesday he won’t run for re-election after all in the 2018 midterm elections, leave the Senate when his term ends in January 2019 and delivered a blistering rebuke of President Trump’s behavior.

The Arizona Republic announced on the Senate floor that he could “better serve my country and conscience” by dropping his re-election bid, “freeing myself of the political consideration that consumed far too much bandwidth,” he said.

Flake issued a thinly-veiled take-down of President Trump, criticizing the “personal attacks,” the “threats against principles, freedom and institutions” and “flagrant disregard for truth and decency.” He argued that recklessness, outrageous and unhinged behavior have been excused as “telling it like it is, but he warned that when such behavior “emanates from the top of government,” he said it’s something else.

The single thing Flake got right is that Trump is sometimes a bit excessive with his words and behavior and should consider pulling back a couple notches. However, even his over the top RESPONSES pale in comparison to the attacks he’s defending himself against. Flake failed to mention that.

  46. Bodhisattva says:

Now that’s FAKE NEWS. CNN starts with a narrative that, very often, is counterfactual.

  47. Bodhisattva says:

Well a father killing himself instead of murdering his daughter because she said or did something he didn’t like, or got raped against her own desire, is a step away from the wrong direction even if it’s not truly a step in the right direction.

But consider this: If all those who believe it’s justified to kill their daughters for stepping out of line kill themselves the problem will solve itself.

  48. Bodhisattva says:

Let’s discuss how the past shows us CNN’s lack of commitment to facts:

In February of 1991 AIM unleashed unrelenting criticism of Peter Arnett’s CNN broadcasts from Iraq. Arnett was dubbed “Baghdad Pete” as AIM warned of the inevitable negative repercussions of allowing Arnett to continue to report under what were obvious controls by Saddam Hussein’s Ministry of Information. AIM detailed the misreporting and how it dovetailed into a planned propaganda war by Saddam whose effects reached the White House.

Hogwash, said the media. The Washington Post claimed that that Arnett was doing a “respectable job” and that he had “become an object of hysterical hatred to a lot of people.”

Harrison Salisbury, a former New York Times reporter and author, said on the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, “It is [Arnett’s] business to find out exactly the kind of things that Reed Irvine does not like to have him report.”

Dick Feagler, a columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal wrote on Feb. 17, 1991: “The wacko title goes to Reed Irvine, a vicious little blatherer who runs an organization called Accuracy in Media. Irvine is the kind of man who, if he bit you, you’d have to get a shot?.[Arnett is] not Saddam’s messenger?Arnett is history’s messenger.”

And a CNN spokesman told Irvine CNN planned to assemble all of Arnett’s broadcasts and submit them for every prize imaginable. So there.

It would be a full twelve years before CNN’s Eason Jordan admitted the cable giant had routinely suppressed stories of gruesome atrocities in Iraq?”things that could not be reported because doing so would have jeopardized the lives of Iraqis, particularly those on our Baghdad staff. . . . I felt awful having these stories bottled up inside me.”

Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby wrote, “It is scandalous that a network calling itself ‘the most trusted name in news’ would sanitize the truth about a dictatorship it claimed to be covering objectively.”

Months prior to CNN’s confession, Franklin Foer had reported in The New Republic that fear wasn’t the only factor in CNN’s self-censorship. They wanted to remain on good terms with Saddam’s Ministry of Information, in order to keep their CNN Baghdad bureau. “Nobody has schmoozed the ministry harder,” Foer wrote, referring to Jordan’s multiple trips to Baghdad.

(Unfortunately CNN was not unique in their submission to the dictator. They are simply the only news agency that has so far confessed.)

n a shocking New York Times opinion piece, CNN’s chief news executive Eason Jordan has admitted that for the past decade the network has systematically covered up stories of Iraqi atrocities. Reports of murder, torture, and planned assassinations were suppressed in order to maintain CNN’s Baghdad bureau.

    Read Jordan’s op-ed at:

Jordan has not always been so candid — nor honest. Just six months ago on public radio, when challenged regarding the veracity of CNN’s Baghdad reports, Jordan stated:

“CNN has demonstrated again and again that it has a spine; that it’s prepared to be forthright… we work very hard to report forthrightly, to report fairly and to report accurately and if we ever determine we cannot do that, then we would not want to be there [in Iraq].”

Below, HonestReporting presents a series of op-ed columns and editorials condemning CNN’s policy. At the end of this communique is a response that CNN’s Eason Jordan sent to HonestReporting.

Now that this senior CNN executive has come clean, it leaves us wondering: In what other regions ruled by terrorist dictators do the media toe the party line so as to remain in good stead? It is known that the Palestinian Authority, since its very establishment, has employed brutal methods of intimidation against journalists.

Clinton campaign, DNC paid for research that led to FAKE Russia dossier on Trump

The full story is in the WaPo and I’m looking for a link that IS NOT behind a paywall to the big story that is just breaking now, apparently.

It is YET ANOTHER CONNECTION of the Clintons to Russia, though apparently through a British intermediary:

Or the voters coming to THEIR senses and electing a Republican with a properly functioning brain. Both seats in AZ need to be rotated to a Senator who will work with Trump, not undermine him.

  64. Bodhisattva says:

Found a non-pay link to the story:

Clinton campaign, DNC paid for research that led to FAKE Russia dossier on Trump.

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about Donald Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

Marc E. Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS, a Washington firm, to conduct the research.

Fusion GPS hired dossier author Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community.

Elias and his law firm, Perkins Coie, retained the firm in April 2016 on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Prior to that agreement, Fusion GPS’s research into Trump was funded by a still unknown Republican client during the GOP primary.

The Clinton campaign and the DNC through the law firm continued to fund Fusion GPS’s research through the end of October 2016, days before Election Day.

Fusion GPS gave Steele’s reports and other research documents to Elias, the people familiar with the matter said. It is unclear how or how much of that information was shared with the campaign and DNC, and who in those organizations was aware of the roles of Fusion GPS and Steele. One person close to the matter said the campaign and the DNC weren’t informed of Fusion GPS’s role by the law firm.

The dossier has become a lightning rod amid the intensifying investigations into the Trump campaign’s possible connections to Russia. Some congressional Republican leaders have spent months trying to discredit Fusion GPS and Steele, and tried to determine the identity of the Democrat or organization that paid for it.

Trump tweeted as recently as Saturday that the Justice Department and FBI should “immediately release who paid for it.”

Elias and Fusion GPS declined to comment on the arrangement. Spokespersons for the Clinton campaign and the DNC had no immediate comment.

People involved in the matter said they would not disclose the dollar-amounts paid to Fusion GPS, but said the campaign and the DNC shared the cost.

Steele previously worked in Russia for British intelligence. The dossier is a compilation of reports he prepared for Fusion. The dossier alleged that the Russian government collected compromising information about Trump and the Kremlin was engaged in an active effort to assist his campaign for president.

U.S. intelligence agencies later released a public assessment which asserted that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to aid Trump. The FBI has been investigating whether any Trump associates helped the Russians in that effort.

Trump has adamantly denied the allegations in the dossier and has dismissed the FBI probe as a witch hunt.

Of course that “assessment” was proven FALSE, as admitted by the Obama administration and, I believe, Obama himself as well.

  65. Mr. Freemarket says:
