“The whole gospel of Karl Marx can be summed up in a single sentence: Hate the man who is better off than you are. Never under any circumstances admit that his success may be due to his own efforts, to the productive contribution he has made to the whole community.

Always attribute his success to the exploitation, the cheating, the more or less open robbery of others. Never under any circumstances admit that your own failure may be owing to your own weakness, or that the failure of anyone else may be due to his own defects — his laziness, incompetence, improvidence, or stupidity.”

I don’t know if you heard, but Arizona approved Obama’s citizenship meets criteria for the ballot. I still wonder. Either he is not eligible or is a lying opportunist.

However, his new log is disturbing. Much less/more(?), the campaign poster.

In twenty years, history will laugh at this. Obama’s every records are sealed, yet the MSM will try everything on Romney, including lying about a high school story some 30 years ago. This will be shown in classes as to why blind media support doesn’t work.

True, except for the “one sentence” part – as your quote was four, not one.

It is possible Obama did as much damage in one term as FDR did in four. Time will tell.

OK, posted it before, but it’s still true and still worth a look. BEST MOVIE LINE EVER, 100% TRUE!

Democrats don’t see themselves as mindless zombies. However, many will admit that they vote based upon their feelings rather than logic.

BTW, I love the current democrat narrative that running a successful investment firm is different than being president, and Obama has, by inference, gained much through his on the job training.

    I’d like to ask Obama:
“What have you learned this last four years that would qualify you to be a good president?”

I’ll wait for the answer to that one, just like I am waiting for him to tell us the story of when and why he gave up drugs.

At least FDR can claim that:
    1. He didn’t know any better, and
    2. He was acting in the best interests of the US.

I have learned from Whitney that coke and bathtubs are a bad combination. Also, I have learned how to do “The Hustle”, Soultrain style. It’s important to know these things if you wanna be the president of gettin’ down and gettin’ funky.

WHEN? I give up drugs all the time. Several times a day, actually.
    WHY? The baggie is empty.

Now, I must away, to shed more light…

As much as there may be to dislike Romney, at least his before job preparation is more applicable than bammys on-the-job training. Just what has bammy learned? 50 states, not 57? Best golf courses in every swing or blue state? Improved first pitch performance? How to say corpsman? Etc?
I will bet money Romney knows all of these things before day 1.

Of the five senators who participated in Wednesday’s press conference—Barbara Mikulski (D., Md.), Patty Murray (D., Wash.), Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.), Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) and Barbara Boxer (D., Calif.)—three pay their female staff members significantly less than male staffers.

You should read Kaczynski – though he was without a doubt moonbat crazy as they come, even he had moments of clarity and he said some things that were worth pondering.

  33. Bob Roberts says:

I see someone else already posted on the Senate Democrats paying male staffers more than female.

While I appreciate efforts to give EVERYONE who posts a link credit, I personally don’t expect ANY credit nor would I care if I see a thread on a link I’ve posted without any mention of my name. I’m just sharing links that I find amusing, interesting or important.

It is nice to get credit for what you share, but with all the people posting the same links, over multiple threads, we all have to understand that sometimes one or more of us will fall through the cracks and not get a mention even if we were first with a particular link.

I’m going to break my own self-imposed embargo because, to discuss this with you appropriately, I need to mention our recently departed troll.

He was an excellent example of the typical liberal moonbat. Full of nonsense, unable to really honestly or properly engage in any sort of debate. Too busy spouting talking points and issuing ad hominem attacks to bother to actually have an adult conversation.

There was a point, and I’ve already admitted I shouldn’t have done it, that I finally decided to try sinking down to his level to see if that might finally get a real, honest response out of him and, at first, it actually seemed like it was going to work. But then it became clear it would not and I should have not kept trying, but I did.

In any case, there were those who pointed out to us all that this space had become too infected with his nonsense to the point where it was a detriment to some of the real discussions we should have been having. They were right – I was wrong to argue against his departure and I see that now.

The one point that was made, which I still support, is that we need to allow diverse views here, even some we would rather not hear perhaps. But the point is they need to be presented in a reasonable context and those bringing them need to be able to provide more than just talking points – they need to be able to actually provide the logic that leads them to think their expressed views are valid.

The troll wouldn’t do this – rather he would act as if the things he posted here were not his own opinions, that he didn’t share or support them, which we all knew was not true. He did not have the courage or conviction to actually provide cogent arguments in support of the things he posted – and most of all, when caught in obvious lies and mistakes, he reverted to childish tactics to avoid admitting it.

I’ve made a few mistakes here – I’ve never claimed I was perfect. I’ve tried to own up to them. If anyone wants to point out my flaws, feel free. My skin is tough. Almost reptilian. I can take it. If I’ve failed to fix any error I’ve made here, or if I ever do in the future, please, bring it to my attention.

We hear a lot on the EPA going after coal mining but not much on this, this mine will be right on the western edge of Lake Clark Nat Park! I guess it’s OK for a foreign company to destroy the environment as long as they make a profit!

  36. Bob Roberts says:

I’ve said before that I fully support the idea that Obama’s eligibility to be President was questionable at best, if not because of the issue of where even he claimed he was born (Kenya) up until just before he ran, then because of the apparent fact he was listed as a citizen of Indonesia when he went to school there. I agree that, from a Constitutional standpoint, this is a critical, overriding issue if there is any possibility that facts about his parentage and past make him Constitutionally ineligible to be President.

However, and Powerline makes this point in spades (is that racist that I used that word?), there are places he’s much more vulnerable. I think I posted this link before, but check the second video because it appears they updated it with a new second video and both are worth a look.

The Democrats talk about a fictional “Julia” in their attempts to win votes, particularly those of women. They talk of how Obama’s policies MIGHT affect her SOME DAY.

These videos show how Obama’s policies HAVE affected people, how they CONTINUE to adversely affect people, every day, and how it will only get worse if we don’t keep him from a second term.

  37. Bill T says:

“It takes on some of the most devastating aspects of the Obama economy, including the fact that so many young people are not able to find jobs and begin their careers.”

Could this have anything to do with it?

  38. Bob Roberts says:

And to all those who’ve falsely accused me of “monopolizing the conversation” here, I am contemplating taking a few days, at least, perhaps as much as a week off sometime soon, probably around June 1 if not earlier. Got a lot going on and expect to have a time crunch so, once certain things happen, I’ll be quiet for a while. I’m sure you’ll do just fine without me – there’s rarely a link I provide that either someone else didn’t post first or someone else doesn’t wind up posting later.

Based on Obama and the Democrats’ theories of “economic justice” and “wealth redistribution”, it’s much more a priority to provide jobs for illegals than it is to provide them for our own children.

I used to do lawns and pools. I also did my share of construction, painting and landscaping. Now all those jobs are taken by illegals.
