Saw that one on FACEBOOK, also meant to post it here an open thread or two back but don’t know if I ever got to it. It’s perfect for the moment.

    Hopefully a portent of tomorrow…

President Obama’s big rally tonight turned out to be just like his first, opening salvo of the 2012 campaign: a half-empty arena in Ohio. According toRealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, there were “empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena … Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that …” The event even featured Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z, and Obama still couldn’t fill it out.
As it turns out, the empty seats didn’t look exactly “scattered.” They looked like substantial portions of the upper bowl of the arena, according to photos tweeted by those in attendance

See the link – vast stretches are indeed empty, despite having prominent members of “the 1%” with him – or maybe BECAUSE of it?

    Election day surprise!

A Russian nuclear-powered attack submarine cruised within 200 miles of the East Coast recently in the latest sign Russia is continuing to flex its naval and aerial power against the United States, defense officials said.

The submarine was identified by its NATO designation as a Russian Seirra-2 class submarine believed to be based with Russia’s Northern Fleet.

I expect our side had a lot of fun blowing it out of the water – totally simulated, of course – a number of times without the crew even knowing it.

They failed at “proving” anthropogenically driven climate change, but they haven’t given up!

Moonbat science is still hard at work trying to justify moonbat nonsense.

A new study has found that 17-year-olds with lesbian mothers had high school GPAs ranging between A-minus to B-plus, while having strong family bonds with their mothers, whom the teens consider good role models.

Of course, they compared these kids against kids that didn’t have good bonds with their moms – of course these kids would do better!

Talk about rigged samples! Plus a sample size of 78? That’s it? I wonder how kids from straight families, or for that matter from single parent families, who had good bonds with one or both parents did? You have to suspect any study that reports things in such obviously biased ways. Clearly this “study” started with it’s conclusion and worked backwards.

    Red-state Democrats fight Obama drag

Red-state Democratic Senate candidates are still trying to survive the anti-Obama wave that started in 2010 and is threatening to wash away Democrats from the Great Plains to the Mountain West.

Fortunately, voters seem to remember how the Democrats railroaded us even before Obama got elected, back in the last 2 years of the Bush second term.

Fight for your country, but don’t expect a priority to be placed on ensuring you get to vote!

This is sickening. Really. The worst people to disenfranchise.

    Bob Roberts @ 9:03,
A day before the election and these Repubes send a letter of concern?!!!!! Can you even begin to see why I call this 1 party system a joke? They are all a POX!! Why do we have metrosexuals and homosexuals in power? I can only wish that there were MEN running for office rather than the lotion lubed hands who couldn’t even hold a tackle box let alone a pistol (with very few exceptions)! Well, good riddance to Barry and I hope Harry has his days numbered as well. Take out the trash and don’t be fooled again.

Went ahead and looked through that clearly biased and contrived study that was presented under the title href=””>STUDY: Lesbians make great parents, world is round

They just can’t get over suggesting that anyone who disagrees with them is a flat-earther, can they?

Anyway, here are some things I gathered from a quick review of the study:

The survey used 39 boys and 39 girls.

One of the findings I thought was key was that 65.7% of the adolescents raised by lesbians had been in psychotherapy at some point in their lives.

So in lesbian “two mother” families two out of three wind up in psychotherapy. And they call them “well adjusted”.

The other finding I thought was key was that 13% of the kids self-identified as LGB – between five and six times the normal population rate of similar self-identification. And they claim being raised by LGBTQ parents does not make you any more likely to adopt an alternate lifestyle.

I would have liked to see the correlation data between these two indicators. In other words, are the ones who self-identified as LGB also for the most part the ones who needed psychotherapy? I’m guessing the correlation was probably near 100% in that regard.

    1: 87% white.
2: 100% lived close to Boston, Washington DC or San Francisco
3: 56% of 73 who started as lesbian “couples” had split by the end of the study.
4: 82% were middle or upper middle class.
5: Top academic interests were English (55%) and Art (43.4%) with Math (32.9%) coming in a distant 3rd

What I found interesting was that, when asked at age 16-18 how much time they spent with their “family”, the mean was 24.68 hours a week with a standard deviation of 17 hours.
93.4% of that time was spent eating and 72.4% was spent watching TV. Both shopping and chores came in at 50% and homework was 46.1%.

Only 50% said they had an important male role model in their lives.

One boy described his mother as “irrational”, one girl stated that there were times she strongly disagreed with what her lesbian moms thought.

The thing I found most amusing was where they started admitting the study had limitations which, of course, were blamed on homophobia.
Without admitting that it invalidated their conclusions, they did point out that they did not compare their data with data from similar studies that used heterosexual parent families.

The study was full of sentences like, “Are same sex parents, due to concerns about the impact of their marginalized status on their offspring, more willing to seek professional guidance for their families in times of difficulty”. Note how everything is viewed and considered through a thick and false lens of victimhood.

Clearly the study was both biased and contrived. I just wonder if the references given were similarly invalid. I can bet not a one of them had any significantly negative thing to say about LGBTQ parenting.

  11. Bob Roberts says:

On the local news they went down to interview the district with the most Democrats (90%, i.e. for every 9 moonbats you could only find one conservative, although everyone interviewed said they didn’t know ANY Republicans) and it was pretty funny. The last woman they interviewed, well they asked her what her “agenda” was, what drove her to vote the way she did.

    Her answer?

To keep getting assistance. For friends, family, relatives, you know, keep getting assistance.

She is one of those 47% or whatever number it was that Romney was talking about. Since his message is about taking responsibility, not being a taker but being a giver, contributing to society instead of just leeching off it, people like her are basically a waste of time and effort. They don’t want to hear that it’s time to actually take charge of your life and start actually doing something for the good of everyone. Too busy taking. Sponging.

That’s the only danger this election, because Obama has managed to get over 50% of us dependent on him and pretty close to 100% of us turned into slaves in two classes:

Those who work hard only to see their earnings taken at gunpoint by Obama and the Democrats, to be redistributed to influence elections and buy votes.

Those who freeload and are expected to reliably vote Democrat, forever, even after they die.

What i find most astonishing is how very close this race is, or appears to be. Is it possible that so many Americans actually think this country is not in very, very serious trouble? Do they think all the destruction of the last four years, our loss of freedom and liberty, having the Constitution repeatedly violated, ignoring congress, the laws and the courts, is still Bush’s fault? Could that many people be that gullible and stupid?

Ditto. It is amazing that the won is over 10% really. Of course the foreign countries love obama because he is dismantling the Top Dog in the world, America.

He is also shoveling our money at them by the billions. And building them mosks with OUR tax dollars.

From their perspective, what’s there not to love?

I also took note of residential yard signs. On the way to work I counted 18 Romney/Ryan signs to 0(bama)signs. And this is in SE Michigan, Union Democrat territory. I also get about the same ratio when going upnorth to our cottage over the last few weeks. My as they State is 50/50, too close to call. I know it’s not scientific but at the very least it has to be an indication.
