OBAMA STILL SILENT AS EGYPT BACKS HAMAS, THREATENS ISRAEL

    Who is Breitbart?

    WE ARE BREITBART!

The IAF struck over 20 underground rocket launchers belonging to Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

The airstrikes targeted long-range rockets in the possession of terror organizations, such as the Fajr-5 and other rockets that are capable of striking Tel Aviv from Gaza.
Mordechai added that Gaza is a “forward Iranian base,” adding that the latest campaign of air strikes targeted most of the long-range offensive capabilities in the hands of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The majority of the Gaza weapons storage sites targeted by the IAF were located in civilian residential buildings, the IDF confirmed. “This is further evidence of the pattern of Hamas to use the population in Gaza as human shields,” the IDF stressed.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again – any culture that worships death as the so-called “palestinians” do will find death readily comes to it when invited.

Egypt trying to invite Israeli response to aggression so they can claim self-defense.

    Obama: Come after me.

Sure – and the best way to do that is to start by exposing what you ordered your underlings, like Rice, to do.

You’ve started to admit it was you, not her, that dreamed up the lies she told.

Admit you sent her around to lie on your behalf if you really want to spare her the process of it being proven without your admission. Admit you knew all along it had nothing to do with the video but you and your top advisors plotted to claim otherwise and sent her out like a lamb to the slaughter to spread that obvious lie – so who is it that is engaged in a war on women again?

What is it the obamunists are trying to keep from us?

UNFIT FOR OFFICE: Pelosi Flubs Presser, Forgets Dems Lost House

I said yesterday we did not have the majority but we have the gavel… excuse me, we don’t have the gavel.

We have our own gavel! We have something more important.

Clearly she’s unable to think or speak rationally enough to continue in the House.

Now that Democrats have firm control of

In its first roll call since September, the Senate voted 92-5 on Tuesday to debate a bill to ease restrictions on hunters and fishermen and allow 41 U.S. hunters to bring home polar bear carcasses trapped in Canada due to a ban on trophy imports.

41 polar bear carcasses is the most important thing Harry Reid can find to bring to a vote in the Senate.

But, of course, his real goal? GRIDLOCK:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., immediately moved to block Republicans from amending the bill, potentially stalling further action on the bill for days.

Apparently even polar bear carcasses aren’t important enough to resolve. Harry would rather sieze up the Senate, as he has for most of his tenure as Majority Leader there.

But here’s the real punch line. This is only an issue because moonbats succeeded in getting polar bears listed as an endangered species… even though in most areas (except where laws allow “indigent” peoples to hunt them with no restrictions) polar bear populations are thriving.

Meanwhile, what does Reid consider NOT important enough to work on resolving?

He won’t allow any discussion of big-ticket entitlement programs that are on a course to go broke if nothing is done. It is clear Democrats are determined to take us over the fiscal cliff then blame Republicans.

He claims “Social Security is sound”. That’s not what the CBO and other government agencies say.

Social Security is the federal government’s largest single program, and as the U.S. population grows older in the coming decades, its cost is projected to increase more rapidly than its revenues.

As before with the mortgage crisis, Republicans and “non-partisan” government agencies are warning of the coming disaster in entitlements in general and social security in particular.

They’ve been doing it repeatedly, for some time.

Over the next 10 years, outlays will exceed dedicated tax revenues by about 10 percent, on average.

    Why moonbats voted for obamacare

While the elderly will be told to “just take a pill and shut up and die already”, it will pay for this sort of nonsense!

I thought that was only legal in Nevada!

Moonbat cops entrap the wrong guy.

And the most ridiculous part is that they’re doing this over $27. Look, if you find a $20 “blowing in the wind” (I have), how much effort is it worth to actually look for the owner? Now when I found a fat wallet in Philadelphia that contained a couple grand I got it back to the owner immediately. Didn’t have to – finders, keepers after all. I could have easily just put it in my pocket and walked away. But that’s not the way I roll.

Daniel Jensen wasn’t running from the law, he was trying to protect his home from burning up. Yet, Pinellas Park Police tasered him in the process. Jensen and his attorney say it’s an excessive use of force.

Unlike almost all of its federal counterparts, the Central Intelligence Agency’s office of inspector general provides no information to the public about the results of its work investigating accusations of misbehaving employees and contractors.

A former U.S. Marine, who was left in a wheelchair following his service in Afghanistan, is filing a lawsuit alleging he was injured and left soaked in his own urine after he was mistreated by airline and airport workers at O’Hare International Airport nearly two years ago.

I wonder if this is just another case of using the courts to win a big, undeserved payday or if he really has a valid case? I don’t see why he’s going after United if Air Serv is the one who caused this.

Russia loses contact with satellites, space station

As for WHY Russia lost contact, check this out. The reason is revealed at 1:50 in this video, so jump there if you must, but the whole thing is worth watching!

GOOD GOD! yaTHINK? We hope & pray (but clearly can’t expect) for this to be the case:

Obama: ‘I Hope and Intend to Be an Even Better President in the Second Term’

Since he’s clearly set a new low, surpassing Carter by an order of magnitude, this actually should be possible.

    Even for Obama.

    And moonbats call it “art”.

To describe a performance by Ron Athey is, at least in part, to sensationalize it. Double-headed dildos, “castration” by tuck with surgical staples, a crown of steel thorns, suspension by hooks through the back, a baseball bat. Blood flows. I’ve seen people faint and vomit at his shows.

Thank GOD some people still have a normal, healthy reaction to this… this… well you’re going to have to maybe have a contest to see who can come up with the best concise way to describe it because I am actually at a loss for words. It’s that indescribably evil. (Did I just win? Can you beat those two words?)

Wow, I can hear some of you clapping and cheering from here (that I’m at a loss for words, for once)! Enjoy it while it lasts!

GOODNIGHT and keep up the good fight all!

Sure he condemned this and that but never followed the footprints back to the White House. He engended a Republicans for Obama class.

After failing miserably in efforts to deal with Chicago murder rates, Rahm Emmanuel turns his attention to a real problem: High calorie vending machines!

“To be honest, murder actually helps us to reduce health care costs and, frankly, all our efforts in that regard have been miserable falures, so we’ve decided to turn our attention elsewhere. These new vending machines will make it easier than ever before for city employees and the public to make healthy lifestyle decisions,” Emanuel said. “When city employees take their wellness into their own hands, we can reduce health care costs and also serve as a model for the residents of Chicago when it comes to making healthy choices.”

One good thing about China and their politics:

Except for Xi and Li, who are both in their 50s, the rest of the leaders are in their 60s and will reach the party’s unofficial retirement age by the time of the next congress in five years, likely leading to continued political infighting.

Too bad we can’t enforce a retirement age on moonbats like “Stretch” Pelosi, eh?

    He’s so vain!

Appearing in the East Room Wednesday for his post-election press conference, the chatty Obama displayed a head of rich, black hair. Photos and even the White House live stream of the session showed no more gray.

Moonbats and their ridiculous theories, which they try to push off on Republicans/Conservatives.

    Where do we go?

    Where do we go?

Where do we go from here?

Not one of their best, but certainly worth a listen and some thought.

Indeed, do we continue to allow Obama to divide us? To ignore our problems until they overwhelm us?

Or do we band together, stop fighting and solve them?

Of course, doing that takes agreement and effort from the other side, too.

    So I’m not optimistic.

An open thread is for anything that doesn’t fit one of the current/recent specific topic threads, i.e. NEWS, for instance.

On the way back to City Hall, elementary school children playing on a schoolyard gawked and pointed at the naked demonstrators.

Supervisor Scott Wiener introduced the proposal to curb undressing after residents complained about a daily gathering of naked men in Jane Warner Plaza, a square in the Castro District. He called the lawsuit a baseless “publicity stunt.”

“There’s always been occasional public nudity in San Francisco. Over the last two years it’s gone from being this quirky, occasional thing to an obnoxious, over-the-top thing,” Wiener said in an interview.

“A lot of people who live in the neighborhood are just sick of the fact that seven days a week there are men taking their pants off and displaying their genitals on our sidewalks and plaza,” he added.

Not all of Europe is lost:

This quote came from the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon:

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”

Dave has a Caption Contest which has proved to be terrific…..congratulations by the way, yours WAS the best.

And the Open Thread is indispensible, and your posts and commentary prove that to be true. I get a lot of my news input at times by reading your posts – you’re quite good at it – with lots of insight and splashes of wisdom, and you are tenacious I might add.

And Dave (tirelessly and amazingly) pretty much offers up topics one at a time between Open Threads and most of the time the discussions center around those topics.

Sometimes when the Open Threads become a near total detail of daily news events it often doesn’t leave room for commenters to offer up topics of their own (you included) wherein other commenters can reply and there is a potpourri of banter and lively interchange. On an Open Thread sometimes that banter can actually detract from good news stories.

I’m essentially not saying change anything as much as I am suggesting improving something. It worked when lao left – or did he?

The nature and content of the Open Thread has changed over the last five years so I’m just sayin’.

Anyway, an early morning EST “Potpourri” thread or something like that with a graphic by TED or Iowntheworld or send-ins, and let the commenters go off on their own. Might even give more focused energy to Dave’s topical streams.

Thanks and keep up the great work.
