    From Newsbusters:

Less than two weeks after a New York regional newspaper created a national controversy by publishing an online map of registered gun owners in its circulation area, the Journal News has once again brought attention to itself by hiring armed guards to protect its employees, an obvious case of hypocrisy given the publication’s virulently anti-gun editorial stance.

I guess hiring unarmed guards just wasn’t gonna cut it for these despicable moonbats.

“And the thing about my jokes is, they don’t hurt anybody. You can take ’em or leave ’em – you can say they’re funny or they’re terrible or they’re good, or whatever, but you can just pass ’em by. But with Congress, every time they make a joke, it’s a law! And every time they make a law, it’s a joke!” – Will Rogers

LMAO! Al Jazz buys Al Gores Current TV. A match made in HELL…

Terms – UNDISCLOSED. Probably a heft donation to Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Moose Limb Brother Hood,666 soccer balls and conversion of the entire staff to Islam.–finance.html

“LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK (Reuters) – Al Jazeera said on Wednesday it will buy Current TV, the struggling cable channel founded by Al Gore and partners, in a move that will boost the Qatar-based broadcaster’s footprint in the United States.

Terms were undisclosed, but analysts estimated the deal could be worth as much as $500”

$500 dollars? They overpaid. LOL! Tim Warner is dumping them ASAP. I suspect the others will get an earful from subscribers to their cable services.

@ The WrightWing — Your story
Read the article and boy, Denny’s biggest supporters, who in July started to boost their sales, are now automatically turning on Denny’s. How orchestrated do you think this attempted demise for Denny’s is? Remember this

  9. Bob Roberts says:

You know it occurs to me that bank executives were put on trial for “robosigning” mortgage documents.

And Obama just signed the fiscal cliff bill by “autopen”.

Isn’t that pretty much the same thing?

  10. Bob Roberts says:

And didn’t Obama promise NOT to use “signing statements”?

    Obama issues signing statement.

In 2008, Barack Obama promised that he would not use signing statements, but last night he released one to accompany his signing of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013.

He said that signing statements are a presidential power grab, and made clear he believed it violated the Constitution.

Overnight, however, Obama released this signing statement, in an attempt to try to change the meaning of the defense bill Congress sent to him for his signature.

    Crony Capitalist Blowout
One of Mr. Obama’s political gifts is that he can sound so plausible describing the opposite of his real intentions.

The costs of all this are far greater than the estimates conjured by the Joint Tax Committee. They include slower economic growth from misallocated capital, lower revenues for the Treasury and thus more pressure to raise rates on everyone, and greater public cynicism that government mainly serves the powerful.

But then this stinker at the end

Republicans who are looking for a new populist message have one waiting here, and they could start by repudiating the corporate welfare in this New Year disgrace

Too late, as they also chose to partake.

But none of the race-bias cases highlighted by the administration was litigated in court. Evidence was never presented or tested, nor guilt ever proven. What’s more, no incident of discrimination was ever specified, and no individual complainants or victims of discrimination were ever identified.

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.” -Woodrow Wilson, after signing the Federal Reserve into existence
