Didn’t check for the newest open thread, posted some on the last, here’s some stuff I did NOT post there yet:

    Only in San Fran!

A ban on nudity in San Francisco was given final approval by the city’s Board of Supervisors Tuesday in a raucous meeting at which several people stripped naked in board chambers.

The ordinance, which will prohibit nudity on city streets, sidewalks, plazas and other public spaces, was initially passed 6-5 during the board’s Nov. 20 meeting and was approved again Tuesday afternoon by the same vote.

Supervisor Jane Kim initially gave the legislation a seventh vote of support but later rescinded her vote, saying she had been distracted and accidentally voted yes.

Distracted… by some guy’s schlong? Seriously, I could see that happening, her getting all light headed and hitting the wrong button and all while “distracted”.

A United Nations treaty to ban discrimination against people with disabilities went down to defeat in the Senate on Tuesday in a 61-38 vote.

    2/3 required by Constitution.

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) argued the treaty would infringe on U.S. sovereignty, an argument echoed by other opponents.
“This unelected bureaucratic body would pass recommendations that would be forced upon the United States if we were a signatory,” he said.

Supporters of the treaty argued that the Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities would simply require the rest of the world to meet the standards that Americans already enjoy under the 1990 Americans With Disabilities Act…

… which only highlights WHY WE NEEDED TO SHOOT THIS DOWN – we are already in the lead, so no treaty needed!

The moonbats tried this in CA too – shortened the yellow – and it was shot down in court, so there’s a good precedent and likelihood this will go.

Obama seeks what he apparently considers is expert tax advice – from Rachel Madcow and Al Sharpton

Obama siding against Israel, Israel calling him on it.

Five European countries, including Britain, have registered formal protests with Israeli ambassadors over last week’s decision by Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to build 3,000 settlers’ homes and develop an area of the West Bank that could render a Palestinian state unviable.

I’m all for that. Those so-called “palestinians” have proven time and time again they don’t deserve a state and can’t manage one if they are given the chance.

Obama all but murders any chance of fiscal deal.

President Obama today declared there would be no deal to avert the looming fiscal cliff unless Republicans agree to raise rates on the top 2 percent of income-earners.

Raising rates on “the top 2%” won’t do any good. The only way to fix this is to RAISE RATES ON EVERYONE – i.e. some sort of consumption tax on all – to each according to their efforts, from each according to their spending. The larger you live, the more you should pay. But EARNING should not be penalized.

Radical, I know, but it would work. If everyone had to pay taxes they would stop voting for people who’s only solution is to raise taxes.

Predictable – thanks OBAMACARE, thanks DEMOCRATS!

Obama Thinks Somebody Made Him King

Now he gets re-elected with less strength, not against a war hero but against a guy from Massachusetts. And the Republicans have the House and he thinks somebody made him king. And he’s going to have more taxes, more spending and more regulations.

It’s a real problem for him. He doesn’t have the mandate he thinks he does. So, I think he takes us over the cliff because he has blinders on. He doesn’t see where he stands in the universe.

    PREDICTABLE!

The U.S Board of Immigration Appeals has agreed to reopen the immigration case of Onyango Obama, delaying the deportation of the 68-year old Kenyan who violated an order to leave the United States in 1992.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a division of the Department of Homeland Security, confirmed to CNSNews.com on Tuesday that Obama, who is the president’s uncle, was granted a rehearing last week and his case is being re-opened.

WHY? He was supposed to leave. He didn’t. How does that earn him the right to be reconsidered?

And what about Obama’s brother? Still living in a shack? Obama still NOT his keeper?

The Cleveland, Ohio-based immigration law firm of Margaret Wong and Associates, which is handling Obama’s case, said the delay may allow the Kenyan national to apply to stay in the U.S. permanently.

Castration? Or just make him a “ward of the state”?

The Wisconsin man, who has fathered nine children with six women, was ordered yesterday to cease procreating until he can support his numerous offspring.

At Curtis’s sentencing yesterday for bail jumping and failure to pay child support, Circuit Court Judge Tim Boyle told the 44-year-old Racine man that his frequent breeding was to be curbed as a condition of his three-year probation term.

Curtis owes about $90,000 total in back child support and interest to the mothers of his children.

Court records show that Curtis has been arrested and charged with failure to pay child support on numerous occasions over the past 11 years. His rap sheet also includes convictions for passing bad checks, criminal damage, and burglary.

Previously, a Kentucky judge ordered a deadbeat dad (12 children with 11 women) to refrain from having sex in an attempt to keep him from adding a 13th dependent. The country’s most famous deadbeat dad, Tennessean Desmond Hatchett, has fathered more than 20 children (with 11 women). But Hatchett’s procreation rate has slowed significantly over the past 40 months due to the convicted felon’s status as a ward of state’s Department of Correction.

  10. Bob Roberts says:

    Whodunnit?

Why was an audiotape created of what was supposed to be an off-the-record interview with just four people in the room, which General Petraeus himself said several times was off the record? I certainly saw no recording device, nor did I give my permission for the interview to be taped. So who taped the interview? Why did they keep it hidden away for the last 18 months? Why was it released at this time to a Washington Post reporter? That is surely more interesting than two people, neither of them politicians, joking around about the presidential campaign. Indeed, this is why they call it the silly season.

A federal appeals court on Wednesday questioned not only President Obama’s controversial January recess appointments but the entire system of such appointments, using oral arguments in a case to cast doubt on whether presidential powers can ever be exercised unless Congress has adjourned for good.

The case involves a challenge to Mr. Obama’s recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board in early January — during a time when the Senate was holding pro forma sessions every three days, specifically for the purposes of denying him the chance to make those appointments.
Mr. Obama argued that since the full Senate wasn’t actually meeting regularly, lawmakers were technically in an intra-session “recess” and he could use his constitutional power to make appointments not needing the chamber’s consent. But two judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit questioned not only that move, but every recess appointment made other than during a traditional inter-session recesses that close out each year.
“Once you remove yourself from the principles set forth in the Constitution — inter-session versus intra-session — you are adrift,” said Judge Thomas B. Griffith.
