Unfortunately the charges may not exactly be “trumped up” as he DID bring the gun into Mexico and there are CLEAR SIGNS that state you MUST NOT BRING GUNS INTO MEXICO before you hit the border. I know, I’ve seen them several times. Now on the length of the barrel, either it is or it isn’t, that should be easy to sort out, but the other thing is this: Everyone knows that Mexico is a corrupt country and the mere act of crossing the border risks false arrest, imprisonment and even death. This isn’t rocket science. There are plenty of places to surf, places that are as good or better, on this side of the border. I feel for the guy, but really, if he didn’t know what he was getting in to it would surprise me.

Imagine for a moment if some white guy was joking about “killing all the black people”.

But we always knew there was a double standard, that some people get special treatment. Say, isn’t that what they use to justify getting special treatment? So when is it our turn?

Once upon a time it was the Japanese, now it’s the Chinese.

According to the National Association of Realtors, non-American buyers accounted for $82 billion in home sales last year. More than $7 billion of that is by the Chinese, who are now the second largest foreign home purchasers after Canadians. They’re buying high-end, multimillion-dollar homes from California to New York and paying cash.
“They’re probably the top 1 percent of the Mandarin speakers that are coming from China,” said Brent Chang, a Coldwell Banker realtor in Southern California. “They’re really the people who have their own businesses or maybe were part of the government.”

A Chinese car parts maker has won the auction for one of Obama’s “green energy” darlings: Bankrupt US battery maker A123 Systems.

In October, A123 – which was awarded a $249m grant from the US government – became the latest stimulus-backed company to file for bankruptcy, prompting a fresh round of attacks on President Barack Obama’s support for emerging energy technologies. It also received grants and tax credits from the state of Michigan of up to $141m.

The company had been a flagship of Mr Obama’s attempt to stimulate new environmentally friendly industries.

Its bankruptcy follows that of other companies backed by US government grants or loan guarantees, including Solyndra, Abound Solar and Ener1.

Food stamp use reaches another high: 47.7 million participants

The food stamp President strikes again!

The most recent data on SNAP participation were released Friday, and showed that 47,710,324 people were enrolled in the program in September, an increase of 607,559 from the 47,102,765 enrolled in August.

The number of households enrolled in the program also increased from 22,684,463 in August to 22,973,698 in September, an increase of 289,235. The average benefit, according to the new data, was $134.29 per person and $278.89 per household.

The new numbers mean that an estimated one in 6.5 people in America were on food stamps in September.

A U.S. Navy SEAL was killed early Sunday in the rescue of an American doctor who was kidnapped by the Taliban in Afghanistan, defense officials tell NBC News.

Morning Star said the team of three had been returning from a visit to one of its rural medical clinics when the kidnappers stopped their vehicle. The three were then taken to a mountainous area about 50 miles from the Pakistan border, Morning Star said.

At least six people were reported killed in the operation to rescue Joseph, the third hostage. It is unclear whether that number includes the American soldier. Morning Star said the two staff members were released earlier.
Two Taliban leaders were reportedly taken into custody.

Anti Gun Legislator Faces Gun Charges

This guy should be facing federal charges for not transporting his firearm at an airport in accordance with federal law. BTW, if he has been working as a security guard (the excuse he gives for having a weapon) why doesn’t the income from that position show up on his financial disclosure form?

Of course, were it not for their sanctimonious hypocrisy, democrats would have no standards at all.

  27. Bob Roberts says:

    The Sebelius Coverup

HHS has contracted with a subsidiary of a private health care company to help build and police the very exchanges in which that company will be competing for business. The person who ran the government entity that awarded that contract has since accepted a position with a different subsidiary of that same company. An insurance industry insider (speaking on the condition of anonymity) says that HHS, in an attempt to hide this unseemly contract from public view until after the election, encouraged the company to hide the transaction from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to my source (the basis for most of this account), in January, HHS awarded Quality Software Services, Inc. (QSSI) what the Hill describes as “a large contract to build a federal data services hub to help run the complex federal health insurance exchange.” At that time, the director of Obamacare’s newly established Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) — which the Hill describes as “the office tasked with crafting rules for the national exchange” — was Steve Larsen. Larsen had been the insurance commissioner for Maryland when Obama’s HHS secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, was the insurance commissioner for Kansas, and the two are reportedly close. The CCIIO awarded the Obamacare exchange contract to QSSI while Larsen was the CCIIO’s director, and he played a central role in planning the construction of the exchanges — although it’s not known whether he made the decision to award the contract to QSSI or not.

Seriously, has a week gone by when we haven’t heard about a new obamunist coverup? There have been some corrupt administrations in history, but this one seems to be after THAT record (most corrupt) also.

Politico reports that, with only 17 states so far having said they will set up [obamacare] exchanges, the “Department of Health and Human Services’s role in bringing the law to life is going to be a lot bigger than originally thought.” More than a third of all states have already said they won’t set up the Obamacare exchanges.

    Legislating from the bench, again.

A federal judge has ruled it is unconstitutional for North Carolina to issue pro-life license plates unless the state offers similar plates supporting the wanton and indiscriminate murder of the innocent unborn.

Maybe there’s no market for “Support Murder of the Innocent Unborn” license plates?

Police are searching for two 14-year-old boys, and reported a 13-year-old who are charged as adults with fatally shooting a Beaver Falls woman.

These brainiacs killed the woman then posed on FACEBOOK with the guns they used to do it. Cleckley’s Facebook page shows a young man posing with a revolver in one hand and a pistol in the other. The photo was posted less than 12 hours after Peterson’s shooting.

And I guess I don’t have to tell you to guess the race/ethnicity of the perps.

Two boys, aged 7 and 11, ‘hold woman at gunpoint demanding car and cell phone.

Armed with a .22 caliber handgun, cocked and loaded, police in Portland say the described 11-year-old delinquent, seen back on the streets today, and his 7-year-old accomplice were caught while trying to flee on Saturday afternoon. Spotted just off the church’s property, police say the boys tried to run away but both were caught, with the oldest boy described by police as lucky to have not mistakenly shot himself.

Seriously, too bad he didn’t. Would have resolved the issue for us.

They may be missing the significance of this.

Transportation Security Administration agents stopped a Bronx man after making a shocking discovery at John F. Kennedy International Airport Friday.

They say the man had a stash of 26 stun guns in his checked luggage.

What if he was just trying to get them into the secure area where they could be given to others, not actually onto the plane he was taking?

I’m in the top two percent. Right now, I’m paying 45% of my total income in income taxes, both to the state of Connecticut and to the federal government, and if you take the 3% Medicare tax. After the tax hikes go into effect next year, more than half — more than half of my total income is going to go to the government. You tell me, what’s fair about that when medieval serfs pay 25%, I’m paying half? I don’t care what the majority voted to do, they don’t have a right to steal my money just because they vote for it.

Actually, I’m afraid, under our current laws and particularly our current administration and DemocRATS in genera., apparently they do!

That’s why we need to reinvigorate the Tea Party movement and this time make it stick.

The government is investigating whether software companies that make cellphone apps have violated the privacy rights of children by quietly collecting personal information from phones and sharing it with advertisers and data brokers, the Federal Trade Commission said Monday.

The one tax loophole moonbats at the Slimes are loathe to give up
The seven states that account for 90 percent of state and local tax deductions (including sales and property taxes) — New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Illinois and Massachusetts — generally do a better job of providing for the health and welfare of their citizens, and are more willing to pay for institutions that are good for society as a whole.
The deduction of state and local taxes is actually a subsidy for welfare nanny states

A new report by the intelligence community projects that the United States will no longer be the world’s only superpower by 2030.

Those with GDS (GPS Dependence Syndrome) BEWARE!

Mildura Police are urging motorists to be careful when relying on the mapping system on the Apple i-phones operating on the iOS 6 system after a number of motorists were directed off the beaten track in recent weeks.

Local Police have been called to assist distressed motorists who have become stranded within the Murray-Sunset National Park after following directions on their Apple i-phone.

Tests on the mapping system by police confirm the mapping systems lists Mildura in the middle of the Murray Sunset National Park, approximately 70km away from the actual location of Mildura.

Police are extremely concerned as there is no water supply within the Park and temperatures can reach as high as 46 degrees, making this a potentially life threatening issue.

Some of the motorists located by police have been stranded for up to 24 hours without food or water and have walked long distances through dangerous terrain to get phone reception.

Morsi gives army arrest powers before vote

Yep, he’s still at it. Morsi seems to have taken a cue from Obama on many of his actions, though unlike Obama, he knows when to back down: He suspended a big tax increase on the sale of a variety of goods including soft drinks, cigarettes and beer.

Five heart patients at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center contracted staph infections after a doctor operated on them with bacteria on his hands, the hospital said this week.

All five became infected with the staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria, the hospital said.

    Meanwhile, in moonbat-infested SF:

A man is dead after he and a woman were found bound and gagged in the middle of a street in San Francisco’s Bayview District Sunday night, police said. Both were alive at the time they were found, but the man, possibly in his 20s, whose name was not released, was unconscious.

They were both transported to San Francisco General Hospital where the man succumbed to his injuries about midnight, police said.

The woman’s condition was unknown but was considered life-threatening, Esparza said.
