It appears that not only is gay “marriage” a modern civil right, it is also condoned in the bible.

If you read the “gay friendly” bible. That sounds a little like “dog friendly” but taste is not a consideration here. Agenda is.

Marriage was once conceived as a contract that produced in both parties to it a permanent condition, terminable only by death. That conception was fundamental to those in communion with marriage conceptualized as a sacrament, with its permanent quality confirmed by all the sanctions of a sacrament.

In other words, it had binding it all the forces of religion and of divine institution.

Which is one reason why gay marriage would never be accepted today as church doctrine if religion had not been so modified over the years as to become practically useless for defining man’s obligation to God.

The dissolution of marriage by law, and that divorce is no longer shocking, began the end of the reverence to the enigma and mystery of a greater being. Along with that dissolution came the willful compromise of God and the sacrament of marriage.

Men challenged the Catholic church as an institution of higher power and its sanctified laws in favor of a shiny, plastic cafe of religions. The different religions to chose from not only better fit the times as things went, but better fit the appetites of those still needing religion.

Rules were for suckers apparently. And why have devotional hymns when you can have a 10-piece rock & roll band….complete with Parker Flys and Marshall amps?

But this way, modern faith would not be compromised for the less faithful and less thoughtful. Now everyone was equal and everyone could become a little less guilty when guilt is relative to decisions according to the religion of the day.

That opens up a lot of ground for change.

Today, a vile reworking of the King James bible has been published as a “gay friendly” bible. : the “Queen James” bible (King James was gay…you didn’t know that?) which provides certain scripture in a Mad Magazine style, suitable for the greater sensitivities of sodomites:

The “gay friendly bible” represents the logical outcome of de-institutionalized faith. Where men could be free to forgive themselves for their sins, choose which passages to write for themselves and to sanctify whatever is demanded to be sanctified, anything is up for grabs.

This is imaginably, what the Catholic Church has been fighting against since the 16th century.

  2. Highway Hospital Student says:

By this reasoning, what becomes most offensive about gay marriage, is the lack of concern that we may be entirely out of our element.

Oregon moonbat governor figures out that high tax rates will drive Nike out of the state.–182821561.html
Too bad this revelation can’t seem to be applied to the rest of Oregon’s businesses.

But as usual, crazy libs respond in kind

Now You pissed me off! Cmon Jobs for Oregon.I think not. EXTORTION! What Dummies they think we are. Oregon has been good to the the Knights and Yes the Knights been good to Oregon. LEAVE ALREADY! Thank You for your stay.Sucking off Oregon for too long. Most factory jobs are over seas! NIKE has had a kings table here. Pay your share! I do!

Jack Roberts is right. This report is seriously misleading. The governor is not asking for a tax break. He asking that the state be able to guarantee companies that for a period of time the tax system will remain as it is; and then only if the company agrees to a certain level of investment and to a minimum number of new jobs. Your report led to some of the predictable negative responses based on misinformation.

As if rates would ever go DOWN in Oregon for everybody?

One company trying to wag the State’s tail. Businesses should pay the same tax…whether they employ thousands or are a mom & pop corner grocery. Nike wants to write their own tax code so it will be more beneficial to the company…not the State! Whenever big business gets a tax break…it trickles down to John Q taxpayer. Pay your fair share Nike…you can certainly afford it!

And what exactly happens when a big business gets a tax INCREASE ?

    Bye Nike…good riddance

    WTF is wrong with people.

Well it appears the shooter is a 20 year old guy from Jersey… want to bet he’s a liberal that voted for Obama?

The last shooter, the mall shooter in Portland, OR – Jacob Tyler Roberts, a 22 year old – there’s a good chance he was a liberal that voted for Obama, too, though word is that he wanted to be a marine but could not because he broke his foot and had pins placed in it so they wouldn’t take him as a result.

  14. Clingtomyguns says:

MSNBC’s libs orgasmic that the new shooting will create “some political capital” for Bammy to ram through gun control. Never mind that these vampires are so gleeful they can’t wait until the victims’ bodies are cold to push their agenda.

Pretty shitty trying to put a political spin on this.

  16. Clingtomyguns says:

Redskin’s RG III not black or liberal enough to satisfy libtard ESPN commentator from playing his race card against one of his own race. “Is he a brother, or is he a cornball brother?” Parker wondered. “”He’s not real. Okay, he’s black, he kind of does the thing, but he’s not really down with the cause. He’s not one of us. He’s kind of black, but he’s not really, like, the guy you want to hang out with because he’s off to something else.

“We all know he has a white fiancee. There was all this talk about how he’s a Republican … Tiger Woods was like, ‘I’ve got black skin but don’t call me black.'”

    Read more:

Then Skip Bayless asked Parker about RGIII’s braids. “Now that’s different,” Parker said. “To me, that’s very urban and makes you feel like…wearing braids, you’re a brother. You’re a brother if you’ve got braids on.”

And he was from Newtown, Conn.

Wretched harridan Andrea Mitchell screeches that Republican racism blocked Rice’s appointment:

  19. Bob Roberts says:

CBS News reports the gunman (in the Newtown, CT school shooting) was the son of a female teacher at the school who was killed in the mass shooting.

    Ryan Lanza, 24.

  20. AC says:

The shooter is being reported as the 20 year old parent of a student who was at least five.

    Nope, nothing wrong there.

  21. Bob Roberts says:

Gee, where are the howling calls of RACISM from the left about this:

ESPN analyst Rob Parker said, “my question, which is just a straight honest question, is [Griffin] a brother, or is he a cornball brother?”

Parker, a columnist at a handful of outlets over the years, has a history of stirring the pot when it comes to race issues in sports. He teeters back and forth between evaluating how “black” Griffin is – “kind of black,” “not really down with the cause” or “not one of us,” but it’s the evidence that prompted his hand wringing that’s so disturbing. “We all know he has a white fiancé. There was all this talk about he’s a Republican, which, there’s no information [about that] at all. I’m just trying to dig deeper as to why he has an issue.”

For Parker, having a white fiancé and potentially being a Republican is “an issue.”

“Well, [that] he’s black, he kind of does his thing, but he’s not really down with the cause, he’s not one of us,” Parker explained. “He’s kind of black, but he’s not really the guy you’d really want to hang out with, because he’s off to do something else.”

Then Skip Bayless asked Parker about RGIII’s braids.

“Now that’s different,” Parker said. “To me, that’s very urban and makes you feel like…wearing braids, you’re a brother. You’re a brother if you’ve got braids on.”

Griffin, an African-American, said, “For me, you don’t ever want to be defined by the color of your skin. You want to be defined by your work ethic, the person that you are, your character, your personality. That’s what I’ve tried to go out and do.” He continued, “I am an African-American in America. That will never change. But I don’t have to be defined by that.’’

  22. Bob Roberts says:

That’s it. With the mall shooting and now this school shooting, I’ve had an epiphany. We have to stop these mass attacks. We have to ban all guns, particularly because we MUST stop ALL attacks against children!

A knife-wielding man slashed 22 children and an adult at an elementary school in central China on Friday, state media reported, the latest in a series of attacks on schoolchildren in the country. In 2010, a man slashed 28 children, two teachers and a security guard in a kindergarten in eastern China.

Oh, wait. Maybe I should rethink that strategy. We have to ban all knives, too!

(Before you flame me, the first part of this post, along with the last sentence, are obvious sarcasm, for those who might not have noted that.)

  23. Bob Roberts says:

And while we’re forced by tragedy back to the fact that guns don’t kill, people do, new details in another recent tragedy in which one of many potentially fatal weapons was chosen.

The Long Island mother of Kansas City Chiefs football player Jovan Belcher told investigators her son argued with his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins over their baby’s paternity before he shot her dead and killed himself.

“The mother believed that there was an issue over whether [Belcher] was the father,” said a source close to the Chiefs with knowledge of the situation.

“She said he [believed he] wasn’t necessarily the father of the child.”

A Kansas City law-enforcement source confirmed, “She told [police] there was a question about the paternity.”

IT WOULD BE INTERESTING to actually do a DNA test to see if perhaps the woman was just saying this to upset him and simply got more than she bargained for by doing so.

  24. Bob Roberts says:

Moochelle explains how/why Obama got another term.

Voter suppression was in full force in so many states all over this country.

Ah, so that’s why there were places where NOT ONE SINGLE VOTE FOR ROMNEY/RYAN WAS RECORDED!

The Obama administration’s Asia team was caught so off guard by North Korea’s Dec. 11 rocket launch, several of them actually had to put down their drinks and suddenly leave a holiday party.

Just minutes before the launch news became known, several officials were overheard remarking how nice it was that North Korea was apparently delaying the launch, giving U.S. North Korea watchers hope that their holiday festivities would not be interrupted.

Among the Obama Asia officials at the party when the rocket launched were Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia Affairs Jim Zumwalt, National Security Council Director for East Asia Syd Seiler, Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy Northeast Asia Director Chris Johnstone, OSD Senior Advisor for Asia Amy Searight, and others. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Affairs Peter Lavoy was at the Pakistani ambassador’s Christmas Party, as was your humble Cable guy.

We knew they were about to launch, yet everyone took off for a party? Yet another example of how inept the Obama administration is.

  25. Bob Roberts says:

ON the CT tragedy, there is some confusion which of 2 siblings was the shooter. One allegedly took his own life after murdering up to 27 (and possibly more as time passes) others, the other is allegedly in custody for whatever reason. They now say ADAM is dead and RYAN is now in custody. Both the shooters’ parents were killed, the mother a teacher at the school where he rampaged, the father apparently at home? Surprised he didn’t kill his brother too. Reports suggest his girlfriend is missing.

This shooting rivals the massacres at Virginia Tech in 2007 where 32 people were killed and at Columbine High School in 1999 where 13 were gunned down.

The worst mass school murder in American history took place on May 18,1927 in Bath Township, Mich., when a former school board member set off three bombs that killed 45 people.

All the weapons used were legally purchased and one assumes all the expense and effort now involved in that process did no good, the point being all the gun laws in the world don’t stop crazy people from killing when they’re determined to kill. In the last incident the guy stole the gun he used. Preliminary reports were that the shooter maybe took these guns from his brother but now it appears he purchased them legally.

  26. Bob Roberts says:

    Not necessarily unintended consequences.

The White House and the nation’s most prominent charities are embroiled in a tense behind-the-scenes debate over President Obama’s push to scale back the nearly century-old tax deduction on donations that the charities say is crucial for their financial health.

Obama gets rid of the tax deduction for charitable giving, hoping it will lead to a significant drop in charitable giving, which he will then use to fan his class warfare arguments.

One hopes most people who give do not do so just for a tax deduction, which is not all that great really – the amount given far exceeds what you save in taxes as a result.

This just goes to show you that Obama doesn’t really care about the needy because the risk is there this might lead to a drop in donations AND he’s obviously doing this without regard for how it might affect those who truly are desperate.

A father of three collapsed and died from a heart attack after dancing to Psy’s “Gangnam Style” at his office Christmas party in Blackburn, England.

Eamonn Kilbride, 46, an IT manager at Thwaites brewery, had been enjoying an office party at a country club with his wife, Julie, on Saturday night. Julie Kilbride told The Sun that her husband had been on a stage dancing and “entertaining everybody.” Shortly after, he collapsed.

After failed attempts at resuscitation, Kilbride was rushed to Royal Blackburn Hospital, where paramedics pronounced him dead a short time later. A coroner’s report indicated Eamonn Kilbride died from acute heart failure, a condition which can be exacerbated by vigorous exercise.

Hugo Chávez chances don’t look good.

Normally I try to practice what I preach: Do not wish ill on anyone.

I admit that in this case that is difficult. I do think the world would be a better place without Hugo Chávez in it.

That said, I do hope he passes quickly and relatively painlessly, however much he might deserve something else for his various words and deeds.
