A third, a fourth, and a fifth if necessary. We’ll keep trying until we find someone who’s not a liar and a crook.

  2. Laurie says:

It’s time for a Replacement Second Party.

Get rid of the GOP. Replace them with real patriots.

  3. Ummah Gummah says:

Change from within the GOP is nearly impossible.

  4. Bob Roberts says:

    No surprise here.

President Obama’s $60.4 billion request for Hurricane Sandy relief has morphed into a huge Christmas stocking of goodies for federal agencies and even the state of Alaska, The Post has learned.

The pork-barrel feast includes more than $8 million to buy cars and equipment for the Homeland Security and Justice departments. It also includes a whopping $150 million for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to dole out to fisheries in Alaska and $2 million for the Smithsonian Institution to repair museum roofs in DC.

An eye-popping $13 billion would go to “mitigation” projects to prepare for future storms.

  5. Bo-Jangles says:

The last bastion of unregulated capitalism in the USA, it’s the only segment of our society where any person, no matter what their educational background, can start a business without any Nanny State red tape.

  6. A. Levy says:

Lauri, to do that, we would simply be proving that Einsteins definition of true insanity was correct.

  7. Bob Roberts says:

    He can’t be serious.

House Speaker John A. Boehner has offered to push any fight over the federal debt limit off for a year, a concession that would deprive Republicans of leverage in the budget battle but is breathing new life into stalled talks over the year-end “fiscal cliff.”

The offer came Friday, according to people in both parties familiar with the talks, as part of the latest effort by Boehner (R-Ohio) to strike a deal with President Obama to replace more than $500 billion in painful deficit-reduction measures set to take effect in January.

One hopes he’s only showing that no matter what he offers, Obama is determined to take us over the cliff.

  8. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

It’s time for a Replacement Second Party
Democrapts will see to it that this does not happen
Repubics are the perfect foil they need right now.
Witness chamber boy Boehner run back and forth to the Whitehouse offering up larger and larger tax increases and likely more and more spending to his master.
And when the impending economic disaster inevitably hits, he can blame Boner and the Repubics for ironically not taxing and spending enough.
All the Republicans want now is to maintain the pork rolling to those big donors to keep them looking viable.
Meanwhile insiders have formed a study group to supposedly figure out “what went wrong”
Bradshaw is a longtime political consultant to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and Fleischer served the governor’s brother, former President George W. Bush, as a press secretary. Bradshaw also came up in politics working for their father, former President George H.W. Bush.

Undoubtedly some solutions will be to snuff out any third party bid, and probably to make the next primary a Jeb Bush coronation/ snooze fest

  9. Bob Roberts says:

To all the celebrities (particularly Democrat politicians, from Obama on down) who’ll surely be ramping up pro gun control rhetoric: How about you tell your bodyguards to disarm as a show of faith.

So how we doing since Obama and the Democrats got so much power by rigging elections?

The London-based Think Tank Legatum Institute recently offered empirical evidence of what many Americans have been thinking lately. Our national well-being is slipping.

Over the past four years, prosperity has increased around the globe, while it has remained stagnant in the United States, the Legatum Institute reports. As a result, the Institute ranked the United States 12th out of 142 countries on its 2012 Prosperity Index, putting the country outside the top ten for the first time.

  10. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

One hopes he’s only showing that no matter what he offers, Obama is determined to take us over the cliff.
    Bob Roberts
Boehner answers only to the big GOP donors now, and Democrapts and the media will keep this “two party” charade going.
My new affiliation is to the party of torches and pitchforks

  11. Bob Roberts says:

Ever heard of Daimler’s Smart Car?

Apparently that’s a bit of a misnomer. It’s the worst selling brand in the U.S. If you’ve ever seen how STUPID the people driving them look, you’d understand why.

Bloomberg News hid conflicting fiscal-cliff poll numbers, pushed results favorable to Obama

A poll conducted last week by an Iowa-based firm showed Americans are conflicted about whether or not to support raising tax rates on wealthy Americans to avert the so-called “fiscal cliff.” But that’s not how Bloomberg News, which commissioned the poll, reported the results Thursday.

In a story headlined “Americans Back Obama Tax-Rate Boost Tied to Entitlements,” Bloomberg emphasized only that the poll showed most Americans support President Barack Obama’s insistence on increasing taxes for high-income earners.

  12. Rob Banks says:

We certainly need another party, but good luck with that! I think the Libertarians finally got 1% of the vote, after 40 years of trying. There are other minor 3rd parties on the right, but none of them can even get the 1%.

We won’t get a replacement for the Republicans for the simple reason that when an alternative is offered, we don’t vote for them even when we’re in agreement with them.

  13. Zim says:

No it is just time to vote out the moderate wing

  14. Tim says:

Im not sure its time for a 3rd party, say to go against the Republicans and Democrats. I think its time to either do away with the party system entirely as there is just to many different views out there to condense it down to an R,D, or I OR move the parties to more deserving names such as Liberal, Progressive, Conservative, Moderate and so on

  15. Bob Roberts says:

A valid, important question: Do Civilians Armed With Guns Ever Capture, Kill, or Otherwise Stop Mass Murderers?

Naturally, such examples will be rare, partly because mass shootings are rare, partly because many mass shootings happen in supposedly “gun-free” zones (such as schools, universities, or private property posted with a no-guns sign) in which gun carrying isn’t allowed, and partly for other reasons.

    1. In Pearl, Mississippi in 1997, 16-year-old Luke Woodham stabbed and bludgeoned to death his mother at home, then killed two students and injured seven at his high school. As he was leaving the school, he was stopped by Assistant Principal Joel Myrick, who had gone out to get a handgun from his car. I have seen sources that state that Woodham was on the way to Pearl Junior High School to continue shooting, though I couldn’t find any contemporaneous news articles that so state.

    2. In Edinboro, Pennsylvania in 1996, 14-year-old Andrew Wurst shot and killed a teacher at a school dance, and shot and injured several other students. He had just left the dance hall, carrying his gun — possibly to attack more people, though the stories that I’ve seen are unclear — when he was confronted by the dance hall owner James Strand, who lived next door and kept a shotgun at home. It’s not clear whether Wurst was planning to kill others, would have gotten into a gun battle with the police, or would have otherwise killed more people had Strand not stopped him.

    3. In Winnemucca, Nevada in 2008, Ernesto Villagomez killed two people and wounded two others in a bar filled with three hundred people. He was then shot and killed by a patron who was carrying a gun (and had a concealed carry license). It’s not clear whether Villagomez would have killed more people; the killings were apparently the result of a family feud, and I could see no information on whether Villagomez had more names on his list, nor could one tell whether he would have killed more people in trying to evade capture.

    4. In Colorado Springs in 2007, Matthew Murray killed four people at a church. He was then shot several times by Jeanne Assam, a church member, volunteer security guard, and former police officer (she had been dismissed by a police department 10 years before, and to my knowledge hadn’t worked as a police officer since). Murray, knocked down and badly wounded, killed himself; it is again not clear whether he would have killed more people had he not been wounded, but my guess is that he would have.

    5. In the mall shooting in Portland last week, an armed civilian drew and aimed at the perp, who saw him, but since there were others behind the shooter the armed civilian decided not to fire and took cover, at which time the shooter took his own life, realizing the jig was up.

I’m relatively certain there are other examples – anyone have some?

Hasbro will meet with McKenna Pope, who complained that the Easy-Bake oven is only available in “girlie purple and pink colors.”

Actually, those are gay manly colors, not girly colors.

Dear Politifact: Your Analysis of Obama’s Drug War Record Is Factually Wrong

PoliticusUSA’s story is wrong, and it’s wrong because the writer relied entirely on Politifact’s poor assessment of Obama’s drug court record. In the spirit of getting things right, I’d like to help the world’s best fact checkers get their facts straight.

The errors begin almost immediately. See the link.

As college student, Eric Holder participated in ‘armed’ takeover of former Columbia University facilities.

Holder was then among the leaders of the Student Afro-American Society (SAAS), who were involved in an armed takeover of the building and a 5 day armed occupation, which demanded that the office be renamed the “Malcolm X Lounge.” The change, the group insisted, was to be made “in honor of a man who recognized the importance of territory as a basis for nationhood.”

Black radicals from the same group also occupied the office of Dean of Freshman Henry Coleman until their demands were met. Holder has publicly acknowledged being a part of that action.

The details of the student-led occupation, including the claim that the raiders were “armed,” come from a deleted Web page of the Black Students’ Organization (BSO) at Columbia, a successor group to the SAAS. SURPRISE: Contemporary newspaper accounts in The Columbia Daily Spectator, a student newspaper, did not mention weapons.

RACISM: It’s ironic that black protesters were the ones who bore arms, for they were the protesters least in need of protection. Ivy League administrators were softer on black protesters than on garden variety anti-war protesters because they feared being accused of racism. Columbia agreed to the demand of Holder and company and never prosecuted those who took over the building and held it for the better part of a week. White anti-war protesters who took over college buildings typically were prosecuted. At Dartmouth, for example, some were sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Holder still seems proud of his militant activity. During a 2009 commencement speech at Columbia, he boasted: “I was among a large group of students who felt strongly about the way we thought the world should be, and we weren’t afraid to make our opinions heard.” He didn’t add that they felt so strongly they violated the law and, it would appear, armed themselves in the process.

The fifth assessment report (AR5) by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is not due to be published in full until September 2013, was uploaded onto a website called Stop Green Suicide on Thursday and has since been mirrored elsewhere on the internet.

The IPCC, which confirmed the draft is genuine, said in a statement: “The IPCC regrets this unauthorized posting which interferes with the process of assessment and review.”

Yeah, now when they eliminate the science and inject politics we will be able to more easily call them on it. They’re none too happy about that!

NOTE: This is from the IPCC statement:

The Expert and Government Review of the WGI AR5 was held for an 8-week period ending on 30 November 2012.

The IPCC regrets this unauthorized posting which interferes with the process of assessment and review.

Wait a minute, what are they talking about “interfering”? The assessment and review ended on November 30 – THEIR WORDS!

  16. Bob Roberts says:

A few zingers from the leaked IPCC report, chapter 11:

“they have a high level of certainty that ground level ozone in the future will be higher, lower, or about the same”

[Nothing like covering all your bases, eh?]

“they have a 95% confidence that the models are in agreement…. with each other.”

[As opposed to the demonstrated 100% inability to be in agreement WITH THE REAL WORLD! Plus if you’ve ever actually SEEN the actual output of the climate models you will see they do not in fact agree – not with each other and in fact not with themselves on successive runs.]

they predict LESS severe weather in Ch11, in opposition to everything they’ve been saying until now.

Here’s a quote from one of their own:

“The mistakes all appear to have gone in the direction of making it seem like climate change is more serious by overstating the impact. That is worrying. The IPCC needs to look at this trend in the errors and ask why it happened.”

    Robert Watson, 2010

Here is something showing that the models do NOT in fact agree.

  17. Bob Roberts says:

A week after a leader of Hungary’s far-right Jobbik party called for lists of prominent Jews to be drawn up to protect national security, Janos Fonagy stepped forward.

Why, exactly, do they consider them “far right”?

They’re fascists. Everyone knows the fascists were extreme socialists, not extreme conservatives. Everything about this party is like Obama on steroids.

Scientists may have discovered what’s wrong with moonbats.

    They have a “new brain”.

Technology has changed the way people think, creating “a new brain,” two Italian psychology experts say.

”It has changed our memory, our brain has lost certain connections,” the Italian news agency ANSA quoted Togo as saying. “Some circuits have been lost and others have developed, circuits that are more closely linked to perception.

Perhaps this is why moonbats are so easily swayed by emotional arguments and can’t seem to follow logical arguments?

Either Merkel didn’t get Obama’s memo or she immediately round filed it.

Europe will have to “work very hard” to maintain the most generous welfare system in the world and remain globally competitive, said Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, in an interview with the Financial Times.

The key to Europe’s ability to survive the challenge of globalisation is to spend more on research and education and overhaul its tax and labour markets to restore competitiveness, she said.

Gerard Depardieu vows to give up his French passport and puts £40m Parisian mansion on the market in protest at huge tax hikes

Legendary actor Gerard Depardieu is to give up his French passport in protest at huge tax hikes imposed by the country’s Government.
Depardieu, 63, star of films including Green Card and Cyrano de Bergerac, is furious at French President Francois Hollande for several of his policies aimed at taking money away from the rich, including a top rate of income tax of 75 per cent.
The actor is now set to move to Belgium after putting his £40million mansion on Paris’s Left Bank up for sale.

In an open letter to prime minister Jean-Marc Ayrault today, Mr Depardieu said: ‘I am leaving because you consider that success, creation, talent, anything different, must be punished.’

Mr Ayrault had earlier branded Mr Depardieu ‘pathetic’ and ‘unpatriotic’, but the actor wrote in an open letter in the Journal de Dimanche: ‘Who are you to judge me like this, Mr Ayrault? I ask you, who are you?
‘Despite my excesses, my appetite and my love of life, I am a free man.
‘I am not asking to be approved of, but I could at least be respected. All of those who have left France have not been insulted as I have been.
‘At no time have I failed in my duties. The historic films in which I took part bear witness to my love of France and its history.’
The actor is not the first wealthy French resident to signal their intention to leave since Mr Hollande came to power back in May.
Bernard Arnault, chief executive of the luxury goods group LVMH and France’s richest man, is among those who have applied for Belgian residency, although the billionaire denies it is for tax reasons.
It came as an Ifop poll released in France at the weekend put Mr Hollande’s public approval rating at just 37 per cent, with Mr Ayrault on 35 per cent.

    It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a FROG! No, it’s a FISH TORNADO!

    @ Ghost of FA Hayek

Of course they will try to snuff out a Third Party bid, but it is still legal to form another party.

Question is how to finance this at first.

The Party would need a very simple point-by-point platform, Kind of like the Bill of Rights to give voters a clear idea what it stands for and what they can expect in exchange for their support.

Phase II should include getting “good” repubs like Gov. Brewer, Gov. Walker, Rep. Bachmann to make the switch to bring the momentum and the spotlight to the new Party.

  19. TED says:

This Just In…Obama 4th Best President Ever!

I was just reading that after less than 4 years, Obama has been rated the 4th best president ever:

Reagan and 9 others tied for first,

15 presidents tied for second, and

18 other presidents tied for third.

    Obama came in fourth.

  20. Ummah Gummah says:

Low amounts of votes for a Third Party is no argument against that effort since there really is only ONE party posing as two:

    The Democraplican Tax-and-spend Complex.

Since a vote for the R is a vote for Jeb Bush, I’d rather vote for anything but, except for the RATs.

I’m out in 2014. I will NOT vote Republican again.

    I’m off the plantation.

  21. Ummah Gummah says:

PS. Thank You to Moonbattery for making this an official topic!

I quit believing in poles when I realized that politicians say what they need to get elected
and most teachers showed up at work because they loved
to educate….it’s all about the money.
People that believe Obama is a great president probable believe that Lincoln subjugating the Confederacy and subverting that Constitution was justified ….
he’s just following the rail-road lawyer from Illinois’
example of denying the the right of life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness and the means to defend them.

  23. Sam Adams says:

I’m relatively certain there are other examples – anyone have some?

Trolley Square Massacre, February 12, 2007. An off duty cop from Ogden, UT, contrary to mall policy, was carrying his pistol. He engaged the shooter until police arrived 3-4 minutes later. Once he engaged the gunman, no other people were killed.

BTW, this was an act of domestic terrorism which was not reported as such.

Another example is the Ft. Hood Massacre, where off-duty cops were the first to engage the Islamic Extremist. No army personnel were armed, thus none could respond.

  24. Sam Adams says:

Here’s the problem with today’s Republican Party:

No one is standing on principle. No one is making the case that people have a right to the product of their labor. No one is making the case that taxing rich people more than poor people simply because they are rich is contrary to the notion of “equal justice under the law.” The poor truly are oppressing the rich, and the chief oppressors are the democrat party. They are turning rich people into slaves, just as surely as they supported black folks being slaves in the 1800’s.

Obama makes the “moral” argument about fairness in taxing the rich; he really doesn’t want more rich people (although he is apparently fine with people who are already rich staying that way). No one is making the counter argument that a free man is free to enjoy the fruits of his labor; that a guy who works hard should enjoy a much better life and more prosperity than a guy who simply will not work.

  25. dan says:

…singling ANY group out for taxes is a violation of the Constitution under the equal treatment clause.
Taxes may only be raised as an “apportioned” assessment
    (i.e.: equally for every citizen)
The graduated/progressive tax is from the fevered immaginations of the Marxist/communists and Eutopeans.
Congress shall have the power to levy import and excise taxes…which provided us the government that was constitutionally adequate for more than 100 years

  26. Winston Smith says:

As a practical matter a 3rd party would result in a perpetually domimant DEMONcratic Party getting 55% of the vote with two smaller parties with no real power – 1 would be a smaller dimiished Republican Party getting maybe 35% of the vote. And lastly this new Party getting maybe 10% conisting of a conglomeration of Libertarians and hard core conservatives.

Fact is this country went past the tipping point in 2012 – the best thing would be for a variatin of Boehners Doomsday plant where two bills would be voted on in the House – 1st bill – No tax increased, some redued deductions for higher income HH that are not businesses, raising Medicare age to 67 and tax increase on wealthy people like Hollyweird Actors/Producers, overpaid college professors, lobbyists, political hacks and other leeches on society. As well as end to Obama Phones and useless government projects other than real infrastructre – roads, bridges, power lines, ect.

This bill would pass the house on almost entirely Republican votes and be defeated in the Senate.

The 2nd bill would written by the Democrats, it would pass in the House on Democrat votes only with all Republicans voting PRESENT. This bill would go to the Senate where it would pass and be signed by the Moonbat Messiah. Then the DEMONcrats would OWN the economy and the resulting negative consequences of rising deficts and increasing unemployment (also caused by ObamaCare implementation). Then in 2014 and 2016 the American people would be given another chance to DEMAND and end to Democratic nonsense economics by voting those bums out. If the people still vote for them, then the country is finished. Just prepare and wait for the total collapse then come out of hiding to try and rebuild the country.

  27. Momster says:

Look for Obama to use executive order to overturn the Second Amendment. Which others are outdated and need overturning?

Free speech? Freedom of assembly? Freedom from unreasonable search and seizure? Laws pertaining to emminent domain?

He and his minions are already working on these and have had varying degrees of success.

America as we knew it will end. It will be fundamentally transformed. Obamacare will get rid of us oldsters who actually remember America as it was.

  28. Momster says:

You say you will oppose us? Who are you? You will pass away. The young will only know the new orde–they are in the new community.

  29. Winston Smith says:

In 1992, 3rd Party candidate Ross Perot won 19% of the vote – # of electoral votes? ZERO.

There are already is a 3rd party (Liberarian – schizophenic party that is PRO GUN, PRO GAY, PRO SMALL GOVERNMENT, PRO ABORTION and PRO DRUG), and a 4th (Reform) and 5th (Green) and 6th (Socialist Workers) and 7th…..

Instead of voting for a 3rd party, just dont vote at all, the effect will be the same. Setting up yet another party is waster of time.

  30. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

No one is making the case that people have a right to the product of their labor.
One more reason the Bush tax cuts should be allowed to kick in, along with the O Care taxes
Republicans should vote “present” now, then post fiscal cliff when Dems inevitably come back with a bill to return those tax cuts to the middle class, Repubs should tie them to at least dollar for dollar spending cuts.
They need to shed this chicken little syndrome and finally make the case that if you want these goodies, you must pay for them.

I know what they are thinking: that it’s safe to surrender now. Short memories will prevail and talk radio will have them all on board by 2014…..just as with Romney.
But there is a huge pool of non voters out there who must first feel Socialism’s pain train before being motivated.
Even 10 percent of them would be massive
But could the Republican party (these people rightly believe as big spenders) even have a chance with them ?

  31. Rich says:

Some say, wake up, the Republic is dead..

  32. Rob Banks says:

We already have plenty of third parties on the right:

Pick your poison: Free markets, traditional values or ethnic nationalism. When was the last time you voted for any of them?

That’s why you’re stuck with the Republicans.

  33. M.Wilson says:

The problem with all these third parties is that they are taking the wrong approach.

A third party will not miraculously sweep the Presidency and both chambers of Congress in one election. No matter how appealing their platform is, they don’t have the power base. Any third party that wants to be successful will have to work from the ground up, winning state and local elections to build political capital. This is a process that will take decades.

The short term goal should be to elect mayors and city councilmen. Cities are very small targets politically speaking, and will be much easier for a small party that is low on funding to sway. Once you have enough cities to form a decent reliable voter base, you can begin making bids for governor and congress. Until you can win state and local elections, the presidency is just a pipe dream.

  34. John says:

The problem is winner take-all voting, not the number of parties. If you want more diversity in the elections, you need to do things like institute instant run-off voting and the like. Winner-take-all elections inevitably wind up replicating the structure we now have in place.

  35. Marian says:

The problem is that Democrats feel justified to break the law for whatever reason they deem appropriate. Voter fraud is just one example. Witness Holder and who knows who else engaged in criminal activity in the federal government. Clinton had a headache, so she won’t testify? Give me a break; that is BS if I’ve ever heard it. Cover ups and lies are what we get from liberal democrats and spineless rolling over is what we get from “establishment” republicans.

It’s going to take a major revolution to change what is happening because most lazy odumbo constituents and lots and lots of so-called republicans are too stupid to realize they are losing all of their freedom.

  36. Jimbo says:

  37. Whom says:

It’s time for secession. Let the blue states slide into commie socialism, whither and die as they want. Godspeed. Red states, let’s restore fear of God first, then move along and restore the greatness back to truly United States.

Connecticut School Shooting Doesn’t Deter Crowd At Gun Show

These people get it… more guns, less crime/less guns, MORE CRIME

County Police Chief Recommends Arming School Personnel

County Police Chief Tim Fitch says it is time to talk about arming civilian school personnel following Friday’s massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, comparing it to arming airline pilots after September 11, 2001.

“I see it no differently,” he said. “Pilots have been armed now for many many years, we’ve not had another hijacking and the issue is, for the bad guy, he doesn’t know which airplane he’s getting on, if the pilot is armed or not.”

Makes sense to me! Too bad the liberals will shoot it down since every mass murder furthers their agenda and they don’t care how many innocents must die until they get their way, and after.

Fitch said the killing will not be stopped by legislation or laws. “If there’s somebody that’s really hellbent on doing something like this, they’re not going to care what the law is.”

“We touched on this issue with heroin problem with schools. When we first were talking about the heroin problem in St. Louis, many of the school officials ran and they just hid out, they said ‘nope, we don’t have a heroin problem in our schools,’” Fitch said.

“They started to find out some of the students were involved in this and some of the students were dying of heroin overdoses. It forced them to have this discussion and to take action, inviting us into their schools to talk about the heroin problem in St. Louis.”

Concerning the possibility of gun control, Fitch said “it’s just not going to happen,” and called for an increased focus on mental health instead.

“One of the first thing governments tend to cut back on in tight times are mental health services,” he said. “We know this individual has a mental health history in Connecticut, we’ve seen that in all the school shootings, and additional resources would be helpful.

Sen.-designate Scott, 47, will become the only African-American currently serving in the Senate and the first black Republican to serve in the upper chamber since the 1970s. He will also be the first black senator from the South since Reconstruction.

So much for Democrats accusing Republicans of being racist.

Let’s take a hard look at this guy. He could be a good pick and might be reasonably considered to go further. Time will tell.

Looks like someone is out of touch with reality.

It may not feel like it, but 2012 has been the greatest year in the history of the world. That sounds like an extravagant claim, but it is borne out by evidence. Never has there been less hunger, less disease or more prosperity.

And yet Obama and the Democrats keep talking about how evil the rich are and how much harder things are getting for “the 99%”, which I gather they have morphed to “the 98%” as they’re now talking about the evil rich “2%” quite often.

Here are some facts that will really put moonbat panties in a twist:

Globalisation means the world’s not just getting richer, but fairer too.

While the rich world’s economies grew by 6 per cent over the last seven years, fossil fuel consumption in those countries fell by 4 per cent. This remarkable (and, again, unreported) achievement has nothing to do with green taxes or wind farms. It is down to consumer demand for more efficient cars and factories.

And what about the concerns that the oil would run out? Ministers have spent years thinking of improbable new power sources. As it turns out, engineers in America have found new ways of mining fossil fuel. The amazing breakthroughs in ‘fracking’ technology mean that, in spite of the world’s escalating population — from one billion to seven billion over the last two centuries — we live in an age of energy abundance – at least until moonbats manage to outlaw fracking, and believe me, that is one of their primary goals right now.

Advances in medicine and technology mean that people across the world are living longer. The average life expectancy in Africa reached 55 this year. Ten years ago, it was 50. The number of people dying from Aids has been in decline for the last eight years. Deaths from malaria have fallen by a fifth in half a decade.

Nature can still wreak havoc. The storms which lashed America’s East Coast in October proved that. But the speed of New York City’s recovery shows a no-less-spectacular resilience. Man cannot control the weather, but as countries grow richer, they can better guard against devastation. The average windstorm kills about 2,000 in Bangladesh but fewer than 20 in America.

War has historically been humanity’s biggest killer. But in most of the world today, a generation is growing up that knows little of it. The Peace Research Institute in Oslo says there have been fewer war deaths in the last decade than any time in the last century despite all the liberal lies about how George Bush and conservatives in general are such warmongers.

    The problem

    A new generation of men.

The Senate’s emergency spending bill to cover costs from Hurricane Sandy includes millions of dollars that will never touch the affected Northeast — including money for salmon fisheries in Alaska, cash for an expansion of train service into New York, and funds to preserve and repair historic properties.

President Obama submitted his wish list to Congress, but senators added their own priorities. For example, Mr. Obama asked for $32 million to repair part of the Amtrak rail system not covered by insurance, but the Senate multiplied that request more than tenfold, to $336 million, with the extra money going to cover Amtrak’s operating losses and to increase train capacity into New York City.
The Sandy recovery bill also includes more than $500 million for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which amounts to a full tenth of what the agency spends per year, nationwide.
Part of that is $150 million for “fishery disasters,” which means money could flow to Mississippi’s blue crab and oyster industries, and to Alaska, where one senator said Chinook salmon have suffered.

A Starbucks Twitter campaign to “spread the cheer” of Christmas backfired after protesters hijacked it to complain about the coffee chain’s tax status.

One tweet called Starbucks “tax dodging MoFos”, while another opted for a more blunt message: “Hey Starbucks, PAY YOUR ——- TAX”.
One Twitter user encouraged customers to tip staff “as Starbucks has just cut their wages”, while another wrote: “If firms like Starbucks paid proper taxes, Museums wouldn’t have to prostitute themselves to advertisers.”

More of the vaunted liberal civility on display: NRA Leaders and Members Getting Death Threats

Are you a member of the National Rifle Assocation? If so, you might want to keep your head down. Unhinged liberals are calling for NRA President David Keene and NRA members to be shot.

Yeah, there’s a way to prove guns should be banned – USE THEM TO ATTACK GUN OWNERS AND SUPPORTERS OF GUN RIGHTS!

Why didn’t I think of that?

Man, are these liberal moonbatss unhinged, or what?

Gun Store Owner Offers Teachers A Discount

Crocket Keller of Kellers Riverside Gun Store says if educators want to get a concealed handgun license, he’ll give them a discount.

“As we do with veterans, I would offer them a discount.

Keller’s offer comes as a debate wages over whether or not educators should be allowed to be armed on school grounds. He believes they should.

Connecticut Mental Health Bill Defeated Months Before Deadly School Shooting

The guy was crazy. He could have been helped, but moonbats defeated attempts to help him.

Before Friday’s heinous act, there was talk in Connecticut’s state legislature to beef up the state’s “assisted outpatient treatment” law, according to Connecticut Senate Bill 452 was proposed in February “to enhance the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric disabilities in both inpatient and outpatient settings.” But the bill was defeated in March, with opposition calling it “outrageously discriminatory.” The ACLU said the bill would “infringe on patients’ privacy rights by expanding [the circle of] who can medicate individuals without their consent.”

Had the AOT bill been passed, it would have given the state the right to institutionalize a person who is mentally ill for treatment if the state has enough evidence to believe that the person could be a danger to himself or the community.

Two people are hospitalized after a gunman chased terrified restaurant patrons into the lobby of the Santikos Mayan 14 movie theater during a showing of “The Hobbit” last night, 1200 WOAI news reprots – the gunman was stopped by a citizen (security guard/off duty LE) & his lawful concealed carry.

The guy started going after someone in a nearby restaurant. They were chased to the movie theater – it was not his intended target.

When the woman, who officials say is also a restaurant employee, wasn’t there, the man pulled a gun and attempted to open fire in the restaurant but his weapon jammed.

“It started at the restaurant and then went into the parking lot and then into the movie theater,” Deputy Lou Antu told 1200 WOAI news.

Investigators say some of the terrified restaurant patrons poured into the movie theater, and the gunman followed.

He opened fire, shooting one man in the chest, before Antu says an off duty sheriff’s deputy who was working security at the theater shot him once.

    U.S. debt a record $5.5 trillion, up 78% under Obama/Democrats.

Foreign ownership of U.S. Treasury securities rose to a record level in October.

China, the largest holder of U.S. government debt, increased its holdings slightly to $1.16 trillion. Japan, the second-largest holder, boosted its holdings by a smaller amount to $1.13 trillion. Brazil, the country with the third-largest holdings, increased its total to $255.2 billion.

What happens when Obama deliberately takes us over the fiscal cliff and investors lose confidence in U.S. paper?

    Predictably, MSNBC’s Schultz demands ‘Confiscation’.

Lemon on CNN calls for gun ban.

Rahm Emanuel calls for nationwide ‘assault weapons’ ban.

Woman Faking Injury For Worker’s Comp Busted After Sex Romp In Park.

The last time secession was tried 800,000 out of 30,000,000 americans died. I don’t know about you but I do NOT want to go there.

  40. Bob Roberts says:

That “woman” who faked an injury for worker’s comp looks suspiciously like either a transvestite or a transsexual…

As tempting as the idea is, secession is NOT the answer. Unfortunately moonbats are not allowing any easy answer – but maybe we ought to think about establishing a colony on Antarctica and shipping them there to sink or swim?

  42. JustAl says:

A better solution is to outlaw ALL parties, Washington knew parties would ruin the country.

Far too many today see politics in terms of “win at any cost” like a sporting event. Remember how those of us who voted for Perot were derided? Remember who was RIGHT about NAFTA?

  43. Clingtomyguns says:

The answer is to purge the Repubicraps of liberals and weaklings. It is the most sane strategy if we are to ever win again. Who won the midterms in 2010 – conservatives. Who lost in 2012, because their leader -Romney, was not a bona-fide conservative, as Obama adeptly pointed out, he was a chameleon. Doesn’t matter that Obama is a shameless charlatan – that’s precisely what sort appeals to his base, our side is based on principles of limited government. In the end, the lesser of two evil appeal of Romney wasn’t enough to overcome the fraud, deceit and scare tactics that turn on their base and the dire circumstances that arouse the base and beyond. People who don’t follow the details many of us do really don’t see any difference between the parties at a national level anymore. So more voted for the perceived “cooler” Obama than the country club Republicrat Romney. We’ve got to get over the idea of trying to appease interest groups and racial groups, that is what Demoncraps do. To have a chance, and I’m not talking just short term status quo, Conservatives have to have a well defined alternative to socialism and getting free sh#t. Unfortunately, we’re all going to have to live through socialism’s creep for the next 4 years because we have an unhindered Marxist-in-chief. What we can hope for is that enough suffer the effects of his policies that the country finds its roots again, and what we will need to look for as the light at the end of the tunnel is Conservatism. That is precisely the reason we need to let everything go over the cliff and let Obama and his party own it all. Also – no further raising the debt ceiling. Liberalism and socialism is a rapidly growing cancer that has taken over the body politic in the land. America needs to take its medicine now, and I’m talking radical chemotherapy, to ever have a chance to get well again.

Boo-hoo is now talking to the Redistributionist in Chief about raising the debt ceiling. He is part of the problem. As our side sees it, there is little difference in the parties’ leadership, both want the federal government to expand, just in different rates. Conservatives want it to contract. Why is it the Republocraps can’t say no expansion of debt, we need to live within our means – which means cuts to entitlements and welfare. Obama’s peeps of 47% takers should bear the lion’s share of the pain of the socialism they voted for. They had their chance to cast their lot with someone who would expand jobs and offer economic growth, and they voted for fundamental change. Why give a rat’s butt about them anymore, Republocraps will never get their votes anyway, and all they want to do is have the governement expropriate and redistribute more of the Republocarps’ voters’ private property.

I’m looking for a conservative home now. I’m not sure where I’ll finally settle, but this I know: I’M DONE WITH THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!
