Good point FDR. “Should the political winds shift in an ugly direction…”

Meanwhile the Preezy is doing his part to see that they don’t. Anyone see his speech tonight? The first five or six minutes were standard “Our thoughts are with the victims, and we praise law enforcement…” No problem there.

THEN it came: “That’s why we take care not to rush to judgment – not about the motivations of these individuals, certainly not about entire groups of people.”

EXCUSE ME? The “motivation” was Muslims wanting to kill infidels, period. “Entire groups of people” (i.e. Muslims) want us dead, even if YOU, Mr. Preezy, think we’re “not at war with Islam”. They sure as hell are at war with US.

    He sold us out again.

  8. Clingtomyguns says:

(IBT) Feiz Mohammad, the radical preacher cited by dead Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, is a former boxer who blames women for being raped and called for a prominent Dutch politician to be beheaded.

Widely known as ‘Sheikh Feiz’, the preacher was born in Australia circa 1970-1 but fled to Lebanon, the homeland of his parents, eight years ago after becoming one of the world’s most controversial Islamic lecturers.

He has been investigated by Australian police for inciting violence and terrorism, and was even captured on a British TV documentary encouraging children to become martyrs for Islam six years ago.

Mohammed said that children should be encouraged to become jihadists: “We want to have children and offer them as soldiers defending Islam… Teach them this: there is nothing more beloved to me than wanting to die as a mujahid. Put in their soft, tender hearts the zeal of jihad and a love of martyrdom.”

It became known in September 2010 that in an Internet conference, Mohammad incited Muslim followers in the Netherlands to behead the Dutch politician Geert Wilders, the reason being that those who insult the teachings of Islam must be killed.

The Council on American Islamic Relations again offered sympathy to victims of the Boston Marathon bombing on Friday, but added a plea for Americans not to generalize and conclude that Muslim teachings influenced the suspect in any way.

[Oh really, too bad the Tsarnaevs disagree. See earlier posts]

“Our focus is primarily on the victims,” said Ahmed Rehab, executive director of the Chicago chapter at a press conference Friday afternoon. “We don’t want to be drawn into defending ourselves.”

Citing acts of violence in Boston and New York, Rehab blamed Islamophobic forces for inciting hate crimes. He said that phenomenon poses a bigger threat than “innocently ignorant individuals.”

“Friends of Muslims are emerging as a great force in America,” he said. “American people are fed up with the dumbing down of America.”,0,1117524.story

If only a majority of Americans were fed up with their own dumbing down, they would never have doubled-down on the hopey change.

“I fear it does not live up to our values,” said Leahy, a key figure in the immigration debate who was not involved in negotiating the legislation.

Leahy’s panel has jurisdiction over immigration. He plans to mark up the bill in May, when he and other lawmakers will have a chance to amend it.

“I cannot help but question whether spending billions more on a fence between the United States and Mexico is really the best use of taxpayer dollars,” Leahy said at a Friday hearing on the bipartisan bill.

Leahy also raised concerns that same-sex couples would not have the same access to family visas as heterosexual couples.

“I am disappointed that the legislation does not treat all American families equally,” he said. “We must end the discrimination that gay and lesbian families face in our immigration law.”

  12. Sam Adams says:

    Points to consider:

    1. Obama finally called something a terrorist act. He was pretty confident when he blamed all previous terrorist attacks on Bush. Sucks to see the shoe on the other foot. Odd that his smiling face wasn’t enough to prevent this terrorist attack.

    2. There continues to be generalization about those radical Christians and the potentially dangerous TEA Party members. Hummmmm…..not too many acts of violence by either group, yet the whole group is tarred with the same brush. OTOH, terrorist act after terrorist act by Islamists is not evidence that we should reach any conclusions.

    3. Both the state and feds did a great job finding the perps. Too bad that so many fine men and women were hurt in the process. I’m waiting for the 19 year old kid explain his motivations, including the fact that Islam had nothing to do with it.

    4. Immigration reform should make it tougher to enter the country and tougher to stay here.

I’m glad the Boston debacle had a nearly happy ending. I wish they had killed the bastard – now he’ll be a spokesman and this will be stretched out in the news for years. He’ll come out as a suppressed immigrant and the liberals will admire him.

In the mean time – please keep West, TX in your prayers – they seem to have dropped off the radar. There’s still lots of suffering going on there.

  16. Clingtomyguns says:

    — The war on terror cannot be fought at an arm’s length – and the attacks on Boston have brought uncertainty back to American streets, writes Peter Foster.

“Mr Obama and his intelligence community know the threat from al-Qaeda affiliates (although the FBI appeares to have been inept in its assessment of Suspect 1 in 2011), but have chosen to downplay it to the US public.

Even when that fight does directly touch on American lives, as it did last September when the US ambassador to Libya was murdered in Benghazi by an al-Qaeda linked group, the administration appears at pains to deny the connection.

Indeed, next week, America’s transportation authority is to relax rules on carrying knives on planes for the first time since the September 11 attacks.

But as many counter-terrorism experts have been saying – their voices often drowned out or ignored in favour of the pleasing simplicity of the Obama administration’s narrative – the threat from al-Qaeda is too amorphous and shifting to ever have been discounted.”

Late Friday, less than an hour after authorities said the search for Dzhokhar had proved fruitless, they tracked down the 19-year-old college student holed up in the boat, weakened by a gunshot wound after fleeing on foot from the overnight shootout with police that left 200 spent rounds behind.

He was hospitalized in serious condition, unable to be questioned about his motives.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, died in the shootout early in the day. At one point, he was run over by his younger brother in a car as he lay wounded, according to investigators.

In the following video on RT, two very virolent anti-White race baiting leftists are trying their mendacious best to divert attention away from Islamic terrorism and refocus the aim on WHITE “right-wing” groups. Hear that TEA Partiers? The “anti-racists” (read: anti-white) leftists (and neo-cons) want to use the full power of government to suppress and oppress any opposition from whites — be it real or imagined. They are looking for every opportunity to label any white who displays — or might harbor — any right/conservative leaning tendencies as a terrorist or potential terrorist. This, folks, is mind control in its most demonic form. They in effect are creating a untenable environment for white patriots in their own country. Strip away their phony concern for protecting ordinary American citizens and it reveals these two as vicious anti-white racists, pure and simple. These two, along with the SPLC, and many more in the mass media… and academia… and government… and the entertainment industry have a hidden anti-white/anti-Christian agenda. But then again, it’s not so hidden anymore, is it? They are like sharks that smell blood and they’re moving in for the kill.

Yep, islam and Christianity are the same…

  36. Xavier says:

If you look into the Miranda Warning exception:

From Wikipedia: (Yes I know but it’s footnoted) Under this [Public Safety-X] exception, to be admissible in the government’s direct case at a trial, the questioning must not be “actually compelled by police conduct which overcame his will to resist,” and must be focused and limited, involving a situation “in which police officers ask questions reasonably prompted by a concern for the public safety.”

(The quotes are from SCOTUS, bold from X)

So there it is. “Focused and limited”: the technicality that will get #2 released. If he’s questioned now, when he’s not a threat to public safety and hasn’t been Mirandized, it’s a Get Out Of Jail Free card. Watch him get deported back to Chechnya as a hero.

Holder had days to plan every contingency. This is intentional. And as long as the trial’s after Barry leaves office, there won’t be any repercussions to divert other aspects of his agenda.

John Derbyshire On The Gang Of 8’s Nation-Breaking Bill: Comprehensive, Fiddlesticks!

By John Derbyshire on April 19, 2013 at 11:13pm

Call me insensitive if you like, but I couldn’t help smiling at Friday morning’s conjunction of events.

7:00am approx. Suspect 2 identified as a Muslim from Chechnya.

9:30am approx. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano cancels her scheduled appearance before a Senate Judiciary Committee “Hearing on Comprehensive Immigration Reform Legislation.”

10:00am Time appointed for that hearing. Hearing commences.

Suddenly, just as politicians and commentators were getting to grips with the Gang of Eight’s 844-page Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, our ruling class lost control of the discourse. In Friday’s hearing they struggled manfully, but not very convincingly, to regain that control.

Schumer: “Both the refugee program and the asylum program have been significantly strengthened in the past five years such that we are much more careful about screening people and determining who should and should not be coming into the country.”

Is that true? Iraqi terrorist Ramadan Alwan came here in April 2009, according to Refugee Resettlement Watch. That’s only four years. Perhaps he was admitted before that “significant strengthening” got significantly strong.

Also from the hearing, here were Lindsey Graham and John McCain, apparently speaking in unison: “We have 11 million people living in the shadows, which leaves this nation vulnerable to a myriad of threats.” [Boston terror fears raised at Senate immigration hearing, By Alan Silverleib, CNN, April 19, 2013

Neither of the Boston bombers was “living in the shadows.” One was a naturalized citizen, the other a legal resident.

Not to take anything away from all the law enforcement agents who worked very hard on this case and faced extreme danger, but my guess is that those at the top had been hindering the investigation from the beginning. The hinderers would be Obama, Napolitano, Holder, etc.

From everything that I have heard and read, it appears that the suspects were not identified until after the hijacked motorist broke away and called the police. That’s when the shootout happened and the second suspect escaped. Even after that, it seemed that no one knew much about the suspects’ backgrounds and their strong ties to radical Islam.

The feds have access to facial recognition and all kinds of other tools. They had very clear photos of these guys from the marathon. The suspects had their pictures and beliefs posted on various places on the Internet. It seems very odd to me that officials wouldn’t have figured out who they were and that they were Islamic radicals within the first few days after the bombings.

But will our elites admit to the heavy price? I don’t think so. We pay lots of unadmitted prices and the list is growing.

  45. Alphamail says:

The progressive liberal’s dream of blaming the Boston bombings on white right-wing Christian traditionalists didn’t go as planned – and if they’re looking for that connection in the future on other national tragedies, it’s not going to happen.

So they have to manufacture a connection.

The pain and fear are subsiding from the terrible loss of life and limb, and the shock of another blow to our collective peace is easing, and the healing process for both the individual victims as well as the nation has begun.

But it won’t be long – a couple weeks, maybe even days – when the bomber will be cleaned up, given a fashionable suit and tie, and another Johnny Cochran will ooze out from underneath the woodwork, to coat this Islamic nut job with some slick liberal coating of Teflon-like, Constitutionally-resistant, empathetic-inducing goo.

It will start with the likes of Michael Moore, Bill Maher, or speed-talking Marc Lamont Hill, who will begin to paint the picture of a young man who came to America, who wasn’t able to break through the racist barriers which have become institutionalized by the right-wing faction in America, so frustrated and feeling alone, he simply snapped.

He’d struggled against intimidation, lack of respect for his beautiful religious faith and the terrible prejudice it drew, and he was stranded – you know, like a victim – poor wholesome-looking boy.

It won’t be long before the real victims are pushed to the back burner, and the mantra from the left begins. Slowly at first, it will eventually crescendo with this “once vibrant and healthy young man who had his whole life in front of him,” being framed as a victim of injustice – of prejudice and religious bigotry by the right.

And then comes the pitch about Islam.

As everyone knows, his Muslim faith is all about tolerance and peace. And to prove the intolerance of the right-wingers, one only need look at how those unhinged Conservative haters kept trying to pin the Boston bombings on Muslim fundamentalists before anyone knew who was responsible. If that isn’t a sign of hate, what is?

No matter that they were right – what does that have to do with it – how bigoted that they could suggest such a thing. That suggestion by itself, proves the prejudice and intolerance of the crazy whackos on the right, and is evidence of their longstanding disdain of his peaceful religion.

And the left will suck it up.

    It’s so damn predictable.

In the end, the Occupy movement will be swilling Chechen beer and waving derogatory misspelled signs outside the courthouse while urinating in the name of solidarity and diversity, and the liberal cause will flow forth, as always.

“Tingles” and his crew will have a handsome new poster boy, and the Islamic world will have their next martyr.

  46. DJ says:

Good take, Alphamail. But in the early stages of this case, if the terrorist survives his injuries, I venture to predict his defence will be centered around the fact(?) he was totally under the influence of his older brother. His defence attorneys will contend: absent his older brother’s overbearing influence, he would never have entertained such notions of jihad let alone carry out such heinous attacks.

In any event, it will be fascinating to watch how this case plays out. More specifically, how the left spins it in a direction advantageous to their agenda.

  49. Bob Roberts says:

Thanks to foolish immigration policies and decisions ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE, though admittedly primarily on the left, we can look forward to more and more Islamic inspired youth deciding to answer the call and start attacking us from within.

One of the mosques implicated in 9/11 is west and a bit south of where I live – I have friends over there and go by it now and again. It’s likely only a matter of time before my city is attacked – time will tell.

  50. Bob Roberts says:

From what the news has given us, making the rather large assumption it’s essentially correct, one might conclude the older brother was the brains (and I use that very loosely) behind these bombings. And didn’t we have a chance to deport him? Look, I’m actually pro-immigration, I have no trouble with bringing in people who want to make this nation & this world a better place, but these two are prime examples of everything that is wrong with immigration today. We had warnings, the signs were there and the obamunists missed them.

  51. Xavier says:

America, not a terrorist, will be on trial. Our racism, culture of violence, religious intolerance, and refusal to help immigrants assimilate will be the centerpieces.

Regardless of the trial’s outcome, I can tell you this: the American people will be the losers, not #2. More freedoms will be lost to “keep the children safe” and more sweeping powers will be granted to the DHS and NSA – none of which will have any effect on our safety. It’s going to make Barry’s use of the Newtown families as props look like amateur hour.

  52. Xavier says:

There’s one belief system that spreads violence wherever it takes hold. When unchallenged, it divides and kills its own believers. It murders innocents, subjugates women, and has the destruction of western civilization and world domination as its openly stated goals.

Yet we smile and welcome believers into our cities and schools. We make special allowances in the name of tolerance. We rationalize their worldwide violent streak as a result of persecution and sensitivity. We finance their revolutions and train their militants.

In return, they kill our children.

It’s time to put an end to this madness.

  53. Bob Roberts says:

I’m curious: Is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev eligible for obamacare? Do we taxpayers get to foot the bill to bring him back to perfect health? Tsarnaev is currently at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center.

Why did we miss the opportunities to stop them, the signs that should have been obvious? The FBI admitted Friday they interviewed the now-deceased Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev two years ago, at the request of a foreign government to see if he had any extremist ties. CBS News correspondent John Miller reports it is likely Russia asked to have the elder Tsarnaev vetted because of suspected ties to Chechen extremists.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, a devout Muslim, was kicked out of his uncle’s house because of his increasingly extremist views on religion. “When he came back he starting posting more radical jihadist YouTube videos and started becoming more of a fundamentalist Muslim,” Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, told ABC News Friday.

“My concern is that he may have gone over there to visit his father and he received training and then became radicalized and then came back. Something happened in that period of time. He was not like that before,” McCaul said.

The FBI, meanwhile, also looked into Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011.

In a statement Friday, the bureau said it investigated Tsarnaev on behalf of a foreign government, though it did not reveal which one.

“The request stated that it was based on information that he was a follower of radical Islam and a strong believer, and that he had changed drastically since 2010 as he prepared to leave the United States for travel to the country’s region to join unspecified underground groups,” the FBI statement said.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev spent roughly six months in Dagestan in 2012, one of the poorest and most violent regions of Russia, home to an Islamist insurgency that seeks to establish an independent state.

A YouTube page reported owned by one of the Boston Marathon bombers reveals that they may have been followers of two radical Muslim sheiks – one who preached against the ‘corrupting evils of Harry Potter’ and another who advocates for al-Qaeda in their native Chechnya. A user called Tamerlan Tsarnaev – the name of the alleged bomber killed in a shootout with police in Boston last night – has posted several videos of sermons of fundamentalist sheiks.
One video is from Abdel al-Hamid al-Juhani, a Russian sheik who reportedly preaches a form of Salafist Islam that is usually associated with al-Qaeda. Al-Juhani is ‘is an important ideologue for al Qaeda in Chechnya and the Caucases,’ Mary Habeck, a professor at Johns Hopkins University who studies radical Islam, told the Daily Beast.
He also posted a video about ‘The Black Flags From Khorasan,’ which Habeck said is shorthand for al-Qaeda.
The other holy man that Tsarnaev’s YouTube page advocates is Sheik Feiz Mohammed – an Australian-born Lebanese preacher whose fundamentalist teachings include condemnations of Harry Potter for teaching paganism.
Tsarnaev posted a video of the sermon on his YouTube page. Tsarnaev also posted a video of Sheik Feiz Mohammed teaching that Muslims are not good followers of the faith if they don’t adhere to all of the Sunnah – or rulings of Islamic scholars. These rules are not listed in the Koran.
He has also urged his followers to behead the Dutch politician Geert Wilders, for his campaigns against Islam in the Netherlands, according to a Dutch newspaper.

The uncle of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects told TODAY Saturday that he believes Dzhokar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev were pawns in a deadly scheme.

“I strongly believe they were just puppets and executors of something of bigger scale,” Ruslan Tsarni told Savannah Guthrie.

He said Dzhokar, the younger of the brothers, was “used by his older brother. He’s just another victim of his older brother. He victimized others, but he’s been used by his older brother.”

Tsarni, a Maryland resident who is the brother of the suspects’ father, believes Tamerlan, 26, who died in a confrontation with police early Friday morning, was radicalized by others. He noted that the suspects were in his house as children, and recalled a surprising transformation the last time he saw Tamerlan in 2009.

“There certainly were mentors,’’ Tsarni said. “I was shocked when I heard his words, his phrases, when every other word he starts sticking in words of God. I question what he’s doing for work, (and) he claimed he would just put everything in the will of God. It was a big concern to me. He called me ‘confused’ when I started explaining to him, make yourself useful to yourself and to your family and maybe you’ll have extra to share with everybody else.

Tsarni said he was “angry” on Friday when he told reporters outside his home the brothers were “losers.”

“I was relieved that [Dzhokar] is alive,’’ Tsarni said. “At least he has a chance to ask for forgiveness for those that he victimized, as well as there is a chance now for enforcement agencies to get to the bottom of it.

“For a 19-year-old kid, I do not even believe (that) he would (have) been in full comprehension of what he’s been doing. For the sake of seeking forgiveness for himself, I don’t know how long his life is going to be, but I know it will be way easier for him if he receives that forgiveness for those he made to suffer.”

DJ your cited ‘Crosstalk’ episode where the two “anti-White leftists” discuss the danger of us White right wingers, well, they wouldn’t both be Jews now, would they?

Here is Allan Lichtman in 2010:

And one of the biggest risks for the GOP involves minority voters, said American University political historian Allan Lichtman, author of “White Protestant Nation: The Rise of the American Conservative Movement.”
“This is bad news for Jewish Republicans,” Lichtman said. “The Tea Party movement hearkens back to the old anti-immigration movement, to the Ku Klux Klan, to the George Wallace movement in the 1960s. Lurking behind all of these was the idea of 100 percent ‘pure’ Americanism — and of taking America back from the ‘outsiders.’”
The presence of Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee, as a leader in the Tea Party movement — she was the keynoter at the recent Tea Party convention — is another potential problem for the GOP regarding outreach to Jews. Palin, with her penchant for playing up divisions between Northeast liberal intellectuals and the so-called real Americans in the red states, was widely seen as hurting GOP outreach to Jews and helping Barack Obama in garnering nearly 80 percent of the Jewish vote.

And yes, Amy Zalman is Jewish. So yet again we scratch the surface and find a common theme amongst these “anti-Whites”.

The Only Good Terrorist Is a Dead Terrorist

Unlike America’s-Obama’s mainstream media, Britain’s’ The Telegraph had the gumption to point out a bitter reality concerning Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, namely that they vividly proved our president intentionally misled our nation into believing the War on Terror, which he steadfastly refused to admit ever existed, was over and done with.

As The Telegraph’s Peter Foster wrote in “Boston Bombs: Obama Lulled America into False Confidence over Terror Threat:” ”In his State of the Union address to the American people earlier this year, Barack Obama declared that he was ‘confident’ of achieving ‘our objective of defeating the core of al-Qaeda’ and that “Although he acknowledged the need to pursue the ‘remnants’ of the terrorist group and its affiliates, the overall message was clear–al-Qaeda was badly degraded, the tides of war were receding and the US was winning this fight that was no longer even officially a war.” (

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev seemingly begged to differ with our president and effectively raised the question of whether lulling and over-confidence are impeachable offenses.

Their father and mother say their sons were framed. Their aunt and sisters think so, too. An uncle thinks they’re both ”losers.”

The only thing definitely known about 26 year old Tamerlan Tsarnaev is that he’s now dead, his body riddled by a fusillade of police bullets and he is undoubtedly now enjoying the favors of the Koran’s promised 72 virgins who are hopefully all over 80 and his 19 year old brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has finally been captured and is hopefully resting very uncomfortably in critical but stable condition at an unidentified hospital. . . Veteran American Educator Rips American Education

I have never met Mr. Gerald Conti but I greatly admire him, even if he consciously or unintentionally failed to spill all his guts about what’s truly wrong with education in America.

Mr. Conti believes “Words Matter,” “Ideas Matter” and, like John Dewey, understands that “Education is not preparation for life, education is life itself.”

Conti also believes the teaching profession “no longer exists” and that the American public education system has sold out children to a student testing industry rife with flaws. He condemns newly-introduced testing systems, micro-management of teachers, standardization of curricula, and excessive emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) courses, all of which he feels are stifling ”Creativity, academic freedom, teacher autonomy, experimentation and innovation . . . in a misguided effort to fix what is not broken in our system of public education.”

I mostly admire Gerald Conti–who taught history for 40 years, 27 of them at Syracuse, New York’s Westhill High School and served as chairman of that school’s Social Studies Department–because he had the audacity to put all that and more in his letter of resignation to the Westhill School District’s Board of Education, a resignation tendered 3 years shy of when he could have received full retirement benefits from the New York State Retirement System.

His rationale for retiring sooner than he might have with full benefits? As he said, “to me it’s not worth it,” presumably meaning that enduring 3 more years of what he calls “regimentation” and “bookkeeping” rather than actually teaching wasn’t worth the additional dollars he would have received in his monthly TRS check.

The AOL Jobs article on Conti by Claire Gordon, “Teacher’s Epic Resignation Letter: Profession ‘No Longer Exists,’” references the extremely sorry state of education in America’s public schools especially our current ranking as 17th in the world, far behind Finland, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the U.K., the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, Canada, Ireland, Denmark, Australia, Poland, Germany, and Belgium.

Ms. Gordon rightly contends that “As America has fallen in global educational rankings . . . schools increasingly have relied on testing and measurable goals” and that “American education doesn’t hold teachers to account or properly prepare students for the job market.” She also points out that even President Barack Hussein Obama recognized the need to “better equip graduates for the demands of a high-tech economy” and to develop more STEM classes. (

Unfortunately, what neither Mr. Gerald Conti in his resignation letter nor Ms. Claire Gordon in her article address is the highly-pertinent issue of why public education in America, which once was the envy of the planet, has taken such a precipitous fall from the world’s educational pinnacle into mediocrity, at best.

Granted, virtually everyone today is riding the “Reform Education” P.C. bandwagon yet few–and certainly no Democrat politicians, including the president–are willing to cite the primary cause of public education’s near-collapse, namely the abject failure of those at the top of the socialistic, multiculturist, extreme liberal-leftist organization, those ultra-lib-leftists who govern the National Education Association. . . Here it is. The media is prewriting the legal defence for Dzhokhar’s yet to be chose attorneys as we speak.

For bombing suspects, question may be who led whom

BOSTON (AP) — Tamerlan Tsarnaev ranted at a neighbor about Islam and the United States. His younger brother, Dzhokhar, relished debating people on religion, “then crushing their beliefs with facts.”

The older brother sought individual glory in the boxing ring, while the younger excelled as part of a team. Tamerlan “swaggered” through the family home like a “man-of-the-house type,” one visitor recalls, while Dzhokhar seemed “very respectful and very obedient” to his mother.

The brothers, now forever linked in the Boston Marathon bombing tragedy, in some ways seemed as different as siblings could be. But whatever drove them to allegedly set off two pressure-cooker bombs, their uncle is certain Dzhokhar was not the one pulling the strings.

“He’s not been understanding anything. He’s a 19-year-old boy,” Ruslan Tsarni said of his brother’s youngest child, who is clinging to life in a Boston hospital after a gunbattle with police. “He’s been absolutely wasted by his older brother. I mean, he used him. He used him for whatever he’s done. For what we see they’ve done. OK?”

Criminologist James Alan Fox says the uncle’s intuition is justified. In cases like this, he says, it is highly unusual for the younger participant — in this case, a sibling — to be the leader.

FBI hunting 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

The Bureau believes that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev received training in bomb-making before they carried out the attack, which killed three people.

A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.

“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

Agents wearing FBI and Department of Homeland Security jackets detained two men at the Hidden Brook apartment complex just hours after releasing three people believed to be associated with Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The inept obamunists complained a lot about Bush – maybe if they spent less time complaining and more time securing our borders and deporting undesirables this would not have happened. They had the older brother & could have deported him but didn’t.

  72. Bob Roberts says:

Obama lulled America into false confidence over terror threat

The war on terror cannot be fought at an arm’s length – and the attacks on Boston have brought uncertainty back to American streets.

In his State of the Union address to the American people earlier this year, Barack Obama declared that he was “confident” of achieving “our objective of defeating the core of al-Qaeda”.

Although he acknowledged the need to pursue the “remnants” of the terrorist group and its affiliates, the overall message was clear – al-Qaeda was badly degraded, the tides of war were receding and the US was winning this fight that was no longer even officially a war.

The Boston bombings would appear to present a fundamental challenge to that assessment and once again bring the nagging uncertainty of terrorism back on to the American main street.

  73. Bob Roberts says:

And who didn’t see this coming?

Authorities are hunting for suspects after shooting broke out during a massive marijuana celebration in Denver, leaving two people with gunshot wounds.

The gunfire scattered thousands attending Saturday’s 4/20 counterculture holiday, the first since Colorado legalized marijuana.

Watch, they’ll blame the Tea Party or NRA.

More likely those responsible were occu-tards.

Did younger bomber KILL his own brother by running him over? Police chief’s dramatic account of firefight reveals suspect was still alive when he was hit by sibling’s car

The older of the two Chechen brothers suspected of bombing the Boston Marathon was wounded but alive following a police gun battle when his younger brother ran him over with a car, possibly causing his death.

‘He all of a sudden comes out from under cover and just starts walking down the street, shooting at our police officers, trying to get closer,’ Deveau said.

‘He runs out of ammunition — the bad guy — and so one of my police officers comes off the side and tackles him in the street.’

He was in the process of being handcuffed by two or three officers when his younger brother, 19-year-old Dzhokhar, jumped behind the wheel of a black SUV the two hand allegedly carjacked earlier and barreled toward the group.

Officers who were restraining Tamerlan Tsarnaev got out of the way of the speeding vehicle, which ended up driving over the wounded suspect, the police chief told CNN.

According to Deveau, the 19-year-old suspect dragged his sibling’s body a short distance down the street and drove off. He later ditched the SUV and escaped on foot.

Law & Order in Chicago: Arrested 396 times, woman knows how to work the system

The crackling voice in Rolon’s radio reported a woman foaming at the mouth and lying in the middle of the street; Rolon approached and instantly recognized her.

Rolon recognized Shermain Miles because he’s seen her more times than he can count — drunk, half-naked, cursing and, on one occasion, lunging at another woman with a dinner fork.

Since 1978, Chicago Police alone have arrested Miles 396 times, mostly on the North Side — under at least 83 different aliases. Those arrests include 92 for theft, 65 for disorderly conduct, 59 for prostitution-related crimes and five for robbery or attempted robbery.

Miles is a master at working the system, says Rolon. She fakes seizures that mean costly hospital visits. She gets judges to delay her cases. And then she returns to the streets to be arrested again and again — so many times that she ranks in the top 1 percent for all current CPD arrestees.

To the relief of many, Miles, 51, is currently in prison in downstate Lincoln. Police arrested her last August, when — after a day of allegedly slapping, punching and generally harassing folks on a stretch of Broadway in Uptown — she is accused of chasing after Ald. James Cappleman (46th). That arrest landed her back in prison for a possible parole violation of a 2010 conviction for robbing a 75-year-old Bosnian immigrant at knifepoint.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Sunday she “regrets” discussions on whether the surviving Boston bombing suspect should be interrogated as a potential enemy combatant.

The California Democrat told “Fox News Sunday” the Obama administration’s High Value Interrogation Group will interview suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, he will be read his Miranda rights at a later date and federal courts, not a military commission, can handle the case.

“I really regret all of this discussion,” she said. “The administration is ready. … I don’t think all of this is very helpful.***

The embarassment came from the conflict with declaring him as an enemy combatant would come from the Obama teams’ interest in controlling the meme, so as not to emphasize these terrorists’ affiliations with Islamic radical groups or Al Queda, which would severly hurt the illusion that Obama wants to present that Islamic radicals and terrorists are under control and waning under his brilliance.

However, trying Tsarnaev under the combatant status extends the time and would deny him a government-appointed lawyer.

King also was critical of the FBI, questioning why agents didn’t follow up on Tamerlan Tsarnaev, after learning he made a six-month overseas trip, primarily to Russia, then interviewing him in 2011.

“Why didn’t the FBI go back and look at this,” King said. “This is at least the fifth case I’m aware of.”

At least seven U.S. communities that received stimulus money as part of a $373 million government program to educate Americans about obesity and tobacco use potentially violated federal law by using the funds to lobby for higher taxes and new local laws, according to a report by the nonpartisan group Cause of Action.

The findings are part of a 19-month investigation by the nonprofit group on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s “Communities Putting Prevention to Work Program.”

Beyond potentially breaking federal law, the communities also appear to have violated CDC guidelines, according to the 36-page report titled “How the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s … Grant Program Became a Front for Lobbying, Government Propaganda and Cronyism.”

The CDC could not respond Sunday to a request for comment.

The group identifies five of the states in which the violations allegedly occurred — Arizona, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and California.

The findings are based on such information as internal emails, meeting notes and CDC grant applications that “blatantly show systemic corruption and use of taxpayer dollars for lobbying,” according to the report.

The group is asking for further investigation of the program and says the request is timely, considering the scheduled release of $2 billion annually, starting in 2015, for a similar program under President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The liberal host went so far that his guest actually accused him of promoting Islamophobia and “Islamic hatred.”
