An emotional drain on all levels.

I have never heard this said as simply or as well. Class war pure and simple.

The folks who are getting the free stuff don’t like the folks who are paying for the free stuff , because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop.

And the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now… the people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So… the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff .

Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded.

    The reason?

The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776 , 236 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff . We have one chance to change that in 2012 . Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

I was going to wait for an open thread, but I just have to post this now! Freudian slip here! She lets her true colors show. This is from the local news in Baton Rouge, La (my hometown!)

Foreign election officials amazed by trust-based U.S. voting system – can’t believe voters aren’t required to show I.D.

The most often noted difference between American elections among the visitors was that in most U.S. states, voters need no identification. Voters can also vote by mail, sometimes online, and there’s often no way to know if one person has voted several times under different names, unlike in some Arab countries, where voters ink their fingers when casting their ballots.

There’s a reason CA is reliably blue every election.

An NBC Bay Area Investigation has uncovered thousands of California voters who remain on the voter rolls despite having died several years ago.

A closer look at the data revealed that some of the dead people were not only registered, but somehow, even voted, several years after their death. Sometimes, clerks say the mistake can purely be a clerical error, such as a misplaced signature or an outdated registration list that hadn’t been purged. Other times, though, the voting turns out to be fraud, clerks say, where family members vote on their dead relatives’ behalf.

And yet, Democrats keep insisting there has never been a single case of voter fraud, ever.

ONLY IN DETROIT!: Woter appears to die, then asks ‘Did I vote?’

No worries, if you din’t, just go ahead and die and the Democrats will take care of making sure you vote this election and for many more to come.

Apparently they don’t know it’s spelled “MITT”, not “MIT”.

I’m hoping that it will be closer to 2:1 Romney in the popular vote than an even split some are predicting.

I really don’t care how many electoral votes Romney gets as long as it’s AT LEAST 270

Make it stop! I want to get off!

  8. Bob Roberts says:

First results I’ve seen show KY and WV (13 electoral votes) for Romney and VT (3 votes) for Obama.

Looks good to me so far – that trend gives a 4 to 1 advantage to Romney but I doubt that great a lead will last.

  9. Bob Roberts says:

Another site suggests Romney is leading in IN OH VA GA but behind in FL NC which I believe he needs to win.

It is far too early to tell, that is for certain.

  10. Bob Roberts says:

Fox has it 78 votes Obama 71 Romney. Most of the states that make that count up were expected to go the way they did: Maine and Illinois for Obama, Indiana and a row of southern states for Romney.
