RIP Andrew Breitbart

The great countermoonbat Andrew Breitbart, who inflicted massive damage on the liberal establishment by exposing ACORN and Anthony Weiner, is dead of as yet mysterious “natural causes” at age 43. His websites (,, Big Government, Big Hollywood, Big Journalism, Big Peace) are among the best sources of information on the Internet. He will be greatly missed, if not by the Obama Machine.

Breitbart in his usual high spirits.

On tips from Varla, AC, Fiberal, and Shawn.

God rest his soul. What a loss.

    Eagerly awaiting details…

  4. 4th Estate says:

I’m pretty sure it was massive amounts of cocaine that did him in, not liberals.

  5. Chris says:

    Only 43 too.

  6. FrankW says:

At this time I would like to congratulate HuffPo for the restraint and general civility they have shown via the comments. DU however is pretty much as expected, with a decent amount assuming or alleging the cause of death was hatred.

  7. lao says:

I seldom agreed with anything he said but I’m sorry he’s gone at such a young age. Condolences to his family and friends.

  8. JamesJ says:

So 4th estate, if true, should NJ fly their flags at half mast?

  9. AC says:

I’m pretty sure it was massive amounts of cocaine that did him in, not liberals.

    GTFO troll.

  12. Agnostic Conservative says:

@Reaganite Republican – Exactly. Its rather convenient, no?

  13. Zorro says:

I am sad for his family, friends, and for Conservative Americans who just lost an advocate for the truth. His walking at night in Brentwood and then dying of “natural causes” does not compute.

  14. Silverfiddle says:

Andrew Breitbart is a modern-day savior, a hero of the right that stole the left’s tactics and used them again them.

God bless your soul, Andrew Breitbart…

This is the second, if there aren’t more, person under 60 who crossed Chairman Mao and has died of “natural causes”.

@Reaganite Republican. Thought the same exact thing too.

Andrew made some terrifically powerful enemies. God bless his family at this time…

  19. Scott says:

Expect a slew, an avalanche of disgusting, violent and crude comments from the lefty blogs and trolls to begin flooding out!

  20. Wilberforce says:

Already happening, Scott. Head on over to and read the latest from the peace loving trolls. It’s what they are.

  21. Coincidence?

Watch Andrew Breitbart’s Fiery CPAC Speech: I Have ‘College Days’ Obama Videos

    Will these ever surface now?

  22. StanInTexas says:

Frank, HuffPo may be showing restraint, but Raw Story is not. The bile and hatred of these people are never sated.

Prayers to Andrew’s family. He will be missed.

And there will be ZERO TOLERANCE for trolls today. You have been warned!

  23. Jodie says:

What a great loss! He exposed so many of the lies, deceit, fraud, hypocrisy, etc. of this administration.

Thank God that we have benefited so much from the fruits of his labor and that we will be able to utilize the information that he brought out in the coming days. For example, he did an amazing radio interview a while back. I believe he was filling in for Michael Savage one Sunday night. He went into great detail about the Pigford case and revealed the fraud and corruption involved in that. To this day, I haven’t really seen anyone in the media pick up on that interview or the details revealed, but it was one of those supernatural events for me.

    God bless Andrew Breitbart!

  24. Sinister66 says:

Didnt follow him. Could really care less about him. But dying at 43 sucks ass reguardless of who it is.

Now everyone post your conspiracy theory.

  36. RICH says:

Zim says: March 1, 2012 at 9:10 am

Fox spent half an hour this morning interviewing friends Jonah Goldberg, Tucker Carlson, and Greg Gutfeld on what this loss means to them. Jonah had a hard time containing himself, as he had just spoke to Andrew last night.

  37. Jock says:

My sympathies are with his family. It’s tough to lose a father or husband at a young age.

What’s with the murder conspiracy theories? Really?

He had heart problems for over a year, high blood pressure and had a heart attack – in front of witnesses. Hardly a mysterious death.

  38. Paulster says:

    Sinister66…Get out much?

  39. james says:

    CIA hit

  40. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    From Matthew Sheffield
I stood off to the side before I went out into the seating area opposite Professor Michael Eric Dyson, a race-bating sociology professor, and opposite Maher, in a hostile crowd. I went in, and it was a worst-case scenario, and the entire time I kept doubling-down on standing up for what I believe in. I defended Rush Limbaugh on the false charges of racism, I defended the Tea Party on the false charges of racism, the crowd booed me, Sarah Silverman mocked me, the audience interrupted me before I could get my sentences out.

But their boos, I got to sneer at the smirks from Bill Maher, and it was singularly hideous. I went back to my dressing room where friends and family were, and it was like a funeral. They started to rationalize how my life would eventually come back to me over months, perhaps years, and they thought it was like the death of my career, the end of my self-respect and dignity.

I looked at them and I basically looked at myself because I was starting to realize something interesting had happened. I looked at them and said “you don’t understand, that was the best moment of my entire life because I recognized the thing that I feared the most,” wholesale rejection from that many people, perhaps millions in the audience, watching on the television, the majority of the crowd, the popular host, the guest, Sarah Silverman, lovely, funny comedian that I like her type of work. Everyone rejected me, and it was an exultant moment, because I realized, yeah, it’s fun to be liked, but when standing up for what you believe in, it’s also very fun not to be liked.
    Thank you Andrew

  41. RICH says:

“But dying at 43 sucks ass reguardless of who it is.”

Poorly worded statement right there. Serial killer, rapist, kidnapper and necrophile Ted Bundy died at the age of 43. Did his passing suck ass?

  42. Sinister66 says:

    Paulster says:

    “Sinister66…Get out much?”

Whats that even suppose to mean.

    Jock says:
I was reading on another site thae family will make an announcement if anything looks “funny” with the autopsy.

If you take a good look at AB he looks alot older then 43. Probably just pushed himself too hard.

  43. Sinister66 says:

    RICH says:

Really…. Thats what you come at me with.
    Too funny.

  44. Dr. Dave says:

Here’s a news flash. People in their 40s sometimes die of heart attacks. I can cite at least a half dozen examples just from personal experience. One of my very dear friends died of a massive heart attack on the steps to his church in front of his wife and children. He was only 40 and had been in good health.

  45. Jock says:

Sinister66 says: Jock says: I was reading on another site thae family will make an announcement if anything looks “funny” with the autopsy.
I think you got that from the voices in your head – not me anyway.

  46. Sinister66 says:

    Jock says:

    I wasnt quoting you dumbass.

  47. son of a preacher man says:

If you truly believe morals are personal i.e. you don’t want people telling you what is moral. How is it that you can derive pleasure from being morally superior to others?

  48. SR says:

RIP Andrew Breitbart you’re greatly miissed

  49. Lee says:

I knew a guy who was a landscaper, active, thin as a rail, and died from a massive heart attack at 40.

I saw Andrew on TV the other day and he didn’t look good. You only ever see these people from the shoulder up, but he had lots of fat around his collar, a sign of being overweight. My condolences to his family.

  50. Fiberal says:

The loud, the stupid, the communists, the socialists, the liars, the obscene, the self-serving, the violent, the entitled, the racists, the smug, the ignorant, the despicable and the indecent.

Breitbart went out into the street, alone, and fought them in their masses.

The deaths of conservatives William F. Buckley Jr. and Christopher Hitchens was understandable at the time.

But Breitbart’s death is not fair.

Worse, his death leaves a void that in total, will deflate the continuous fight for truth that always has to be waged.

His passing is a great loss.

  51. Hail The Amberlamps! says:

Judging by the power-level and quantity of his enemies, I would say that a fearless warrior has died in the opening of a second civil war.

Don’t let his sacrifice be for naught.

    P.S. FOAD evil-worshipping scumbag Sister66.

  52. Jester says:

Now everyone post your conspiracy theory

None of us need to post conspiracy theories, Sinister; especially not with your permission. All anyone needs to do to uncover the truth is look towards the history of the left (Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, Il, etc.).

  53. KHarn says:

    “Reaganite Republican says:March 1, 2012 at 8:29 am”

  54. Grunt says:

    Good heavens…
My respects go to a great fighter for the Right, a patriot and a brilliant blogger; my condolences to his Family and loved ones.

    What an awful, awful loss.
    I wish it weren’t true…

  55. Bloodless Coup says:

Remember that Andrew Brietbart had dinner with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn not that long ago. I remember thinking that if I were Andrew Brietbart I would never eat anything that Bill Ayers cooked for me. Now Brietbart is dead of mysterious “natural causes.”

In real estate: location, location, location.

    In politics: timing, timing, timing.

The timing of this is too convenient…and once again I suggest to Clarence Thomas and John Roberts that they get food tasters.

    Condolences to Breitbart’s family.

…and AC, I agree with that. Can we finally agree to coalesce behind the Repub, no matter how much we need to hold our noses? It’s getting serious now.

  60. Adam says:

Rip Andrew Breitbart. May others continue your great work.

  61. AC says:

…and AC, I agree with that. Can we finally agree to coalesce behind the Repub, no matter how much we need to hold our noses? It’s getting serious now.

That depends on what he stands for. We need to coalesce behind a conservative who will act conservative. If we are willing to write a blank check at the polls then all accountability goes out the window.

Andrew had no problem with holding Republicans accountable for their actions. I remember many times that he exposed pork barrel Republicans, Republican lobbyist cronies, and most recently, Republican insider traders.

We need more men and women with character like Andrew Breitbart. We need people who believe in putting the good of the country ahead of the Beltway’s partisan favor factory.

He was a man who believed that exposing a Republican dabbling in insider trading or crookedly squandering taxpayer dollars was equally important as exposing the corruption at ACORN or in the Pigford settlement.

We don’t have many people like that anymore. Our nation’s character is rotting, leaving us without the sort of stand up people who do the right thing because it is the right thing to do.

Andrew Breitbart was a patriot with class. He will be missed.

  62. Val says:

I feel like we lost a soldier. God bless his family!

I hope his legacy lives on!

    RIP Andrew!

  63. SeaFoamGreen says:

The answer then, AC, seems to be “no”.

At this point, I would punish Obama and the left if it meant voting for Jeb Bush (and I’d REALLY hate that).

    Oh well…

  64. gordo says:

I don’t believe in coincidences. Someone got to him. They’re playing for keeps and so must we.
I fear that Andrew is only the first casualty in a long war.

  65. ent says:

I’m so dismayed by the loss of this gutsy conservative warrior. Argh!!

He has made so many enemies and in so many high places that until all the details come out, I will have to assume foul play. Even if there was no overt attack, there are ways to take someone out furtively. I’ve heard that an overdose of insulin will create a massive heart attack and leave behind no medically detectable traces, for example. I’m sure the CIA has other methods, as well.

    Rest in peace, Big Andrew.

  66. Sinister66 says:

son of a preacher man says:

“If you truly believe morals are personal i.e. you don’t want people telling you what is moral. How is it that you can derive pleasure from being morally superior to others?”

How am I being “morally superior”?

    Hail The Amberlamps! says:

    “P.S. FOAD evil-worshipping scumbag Sister66.”
Now thats a scumbag thing to say. Sorry I dont share your hero worship.
I didnt even say anything demeaning about the guy and you people are piling on me like you were best friends with Breitbart and just had lunch with him yesterday.

  67. BigJoe says:

He crossed Acorn, SEIU and Obama. He then, by proxy, crossed George Soros. Not shocked he ended up dead. This was a ‘whack’ if I ever saw one.

  68. Jock says:

BigJoe says: This was a ‘whack’ if I ever saw one
And did you ever see one?

  69. son of a preacher man says:

You believe in no objective standard of conduct yet you use your own subjective standard derived from your own perception of yourself relative to your perception of others not like you and then assume you have some insightful rhetoric to share which is just thinly veiled condescension.

  70. Dien Cai Dau says:

He revealed he had obama college videos and now he’s dead…big surprise there huh?

  71. Son of Taz says:

I have to go along with Jock on this. The concept of an enemy of the White House communist being killed off is a bit too Hollywood/007ish for me.

If it were proven to be true, however, then it would be time to shut off the damn computers, get the guns outta the closet and head for the Capitol. You’d know what to do when you get there.

But, it seems Andrew may have had a heart problem. Whether it was from his weight or one of those genetic defects that shows up when least expected, we’ve lost a great patriot. His breaking of the ACORN mess was legendary. I can only hope there’s someone else around him that will take up his great mantle and carry on.

  72. trailertrash says:

I assume the libtards will now be saying good riddance in all of their posts pertaining to his death.

  73. lao says:

  74. Canis lupus says:

    @4TH Estate,
That is a terrible thing to say about another human being who just passed on. It is obvious you do not agree with his politics. Try to put that aside and remember that he was somebodys husband, father, son and freind. These people are greiving. Your shitty comment is not what the family needs to read. This is one thing that separates me from liberals like you. I will never gloat over the death of another human being. Especially with all the pain and anguish it causes.

  75. DebZeppelin says:

I’m stunned & bereft. He was a true conservative role model and a great voice has been silenced. Rest in peace, Andrew. My condolences to his wife and children and the whole conservative family.

  76. StanInTexas says:

Lao, try keeping your mouth shut and at least pretending you know how to function as a human being.

  77. J says:

lao, try doing a web search on Chappaquiddick in regards to the murderer Ted Kennedy, and see what you find.

Only in the backwards bizarro world of liberalism, would a person be able to accuse someone of being filled with hate while simultaneously making these kinds of statements simply because they disagreed with his viewpoints.

Only in the backwards bizarro world of progressiveism, can someone cluelessly wear a peace sign and a Che Guevara button simultaneously.

Only in the backwards bizarro world of leftist ideogy, can the mangy occupado crowd rape, thieve, vandalize and riot, while simultaneously falsely accusing the Tea Party of the same.

Only in the backwards bizarro world of the Democrats, can they accuse Loughner of being a right wing extremist due to entirely unrelated graphic art, while simultaneously ignoring the statements of his own acquaintances that called him point blank “quite liberal” and “left wing.”

There really isn’t any question at this point that you people are seriously mentally ill. Honestly, as moonbats, you’re just not worth the trouble to entertain anymore.

So bring on this adolescent communist revolution you clueless occupados have planned this spring.

    Let’s get this over with.

You can barely tie your own flea ridden shoes, so it should be good sport.

  80. lao says:

Nice collection of irrelevant distractions, as usual J.

I think the nasty tweets posted against Breitbart on the day he died are just as reprehensible as the nasty tweets Breitbart posted against Kennedy on the day he died.

While some on the left indulged their negative passion so too have some on the right indulged in bizarre conspiracy theories that blame Obama or liberals for his death.

I will happily await the results of an autopsy.

I’ll call your attention to my post @8:24 am.

Suggesting that the negative remarks against Breitbart can be universally applied to liberals is utterly false as was noted by Frank re HuffPo.

Care to imagine the reaction we’d see on moonbattery and the rest of the far right blogs if someone like Michael Moore or Rachel Maddow or Keith Olbermann were to die suddenly?

Tell me J, what sort of “classiness” do you suppose we’d see from your side then?

You have claimed at tedious length to care about sources but you chose to link to weasel zippers which is as unreliable as moonbattery when it comes to manipulative editing.

For example, in the Frum piece, they whine that Frum called him racist, but they edited out these paragraphs before and after the paragraph they quoted.

In fact, it’s hard even to use the word “issues” in connection with Andrew Breitbart. He may have used the words “left” and “right,” but it’s hard to imagine what he ever meant by those words. He waged a culture war minus the “culture,” as a pure struggle between personalities. Hence his intense focus on President Obama: only by hating a particular political man could Breitbart bring any order to his fundamentally apolitical emotions.

Yet it is wrong to see Breitbart as racially motivated. Had Breitbart decided he hated a politician whose ancestors came over on the Mayflower, Breitbart would have been just as delighted to attack that politician with a different set of codes. The attack was everything, the details nothing.

Here’s the original, and complete source: Andrew Breitbart, 1969-2012

  81. TrickleUpPolitics says:

I am sad but not surprised that Andrew died. Some comments were made about his demeanor when we watched the tape of his speech at CPAC, and I commented that I was worried about him. I thought he was starting to come apart. Making yourself a target for all of the left wing spite, and immersing yourself in the left wing’s corruption day after day took its toll.

    RIP Andrew You are missed

  82. Amalia says:

lao, you want to know why people talked shit about Vast Teddy when he kicked the bucket? Because he, unlike Andrew Breitbart, was responsible for letting an innocent woman drown in a car.

Andrew Breitbart didn’t kill anybody and he didn’t let anybody drown in a sinking car.

    Rest in peace, Andrew.

  83. Joek Loth says:

While driving to my next delivery I was thinking about my life and how I really haven’t done anything of purpose with it. I started thinking about how great it would be to work for someone like A.B. and how could I even begin to try and get in contact with him about gaining employment within his organizations. Then I turned on Glenn Beck only to hear him talking about Andrew Breitbart in the PAST TENSE. I thought WTF?
So I called my wife at home and asked her to look up A.B. She then told me of A.B.’s passing at 43yrsold of natural causes. I was wrecked the whole day.
Unfortunately, no one I know or encounter on a daily basis has ever heard of A.B. Basically because they’re all f*cking AMERICAN IDOL, DWTS, ELLEN and MODERN FAMILY F*CKING OSTERICH IDIOTS with their heads in the sand or up their asses. Too stupid and simple to pay attention to what is happening to our GREAT COUNTRY.
My loving but simpleton of a wife told me that I need to not be so engrossed in politics because I get kinda worked up about it, she’s afraid I might have a mydeal infarction and die. I told her nuts to that shit. I would gladly give up my life for this GREAT COUNTRY. I TOOK THE OATH ONCE…

  84. Joek Loth says:

P.S. MY (sort of)Boss at work, late twenties, conservative, multi gun owner, loves/lives rural, didnt really know A.B. but he did remember the story of James Okeefe and Hannah Jiles posing as
pimp-n-ho, busting ACORN when I recollected it for him.

And for all you assholes, laozee;etc bellyachin about Breitbart’s comments on Ted the turd kennedy’s dying, A.B.’s goal was to SAVE AMERICA, TURD kennedys goal was to destroy America. Big difference there stoopid(s)!! Besides, there is this main stream LIEberal idea now of not criticizing, condemning, pissing on or burning not burying the enemy. All I can say to that defeatist type thinking is F*CK THAT SHIT!!
I surmise that if Odumbass was the end of WWII, and we got to his semi-charred remains before Russia did, that Oshit4brains would’ve ordered our troops to cleanse his body, paying special attention to his ONE TESTICLE!! And to give him a proper atheist asshole burial. F*ucking Idiots.
