Saluting the Flag, Moonbat English Teacher Style

Old Glory must still represent something other than the gang of authoritarian looters running the federal government if moonbats hate it enough to subject it to the treatment it received from English teacher Scott Compton at Chapin High School in South Carolina:

When Michael Copeland overheard his teenager talking about what her honors II English teacher did with the flag in their classroom, he pressed for details.

“He drew a couple of symbols, like one of them was a cross, and he said, ‘What does this represent,’ and everybody said, ‘Christianity,'” said Copeland.

“Then he proceeds to take down the American flag, and said, ‘This is a symbol, but it’s only a piece of cloth. It doesn’t mean anything,’ and then he throws it down on the floor and then stomps on it, repeatedly.”

“I asked what was he trying to get, the point across? And she said, ‘I don’t know,’ and he said, his explanation was there would be no consequences, it’s just a piece of cloth that doesn’t mean anything.”

But it does mean something, or moonbats wouldn’t despise it — and there were consequences. After repeating his lesson in three classes that day, Compton is under “full investigation.” South Carolina isn’t Obama country.

Still hated by our moonbat ruling class.

And he’s just a POS that has no meaning. Throw him to the ground and stomp on him.

  2. Sam Adams says:

What kind of consequence did the teacher expect? Lightning from God?

Lefties hate America and what it stands for. They hate the fact that these symbols actually do mean things to real Americans. They don’t understand that many have given their lives for their country and more still will make that sacrifice. They don’t understand that the flag represents that sacrifice.

The woman is unfit to be called an American. She should probably try that same symbolic act with the Koran.

Well said. I hope there are many, many Marines in her community

    Disgusting, repulsive and traitorous.

I can see one of those high school kids walking up and caving this bitch’s face in, then telling him in a level voice “My brother was in Iraq fighting for us. He came back with no legs. They were blown off by an IED. Tell him that’s just a piece of cloth.”

  6. Stephan The Original says:

I thought the story had the teacher as a man, and the teenager as the girl.

A symbol that doesn’t mean anything. Your intellectual superiors on the left never fail to impress.

Hmmm. He seems unclear as to the definition of “symbol.”

Scott Compton: “What are you doing!? Stop it…Hey! No WHAT ARE YOU DOING? STOP IT STOP STOP … help me … someone please … HELLLLPPPP MEEEE!!!!!”

Me: “You’re just a sack of meat that doesn’t mean anything.”

Another good little Nazi in the classroom. Bet the NEA is proud.

How about we give him the finger, it’s just a symbol and doesn’t mean anything. What about the first grader that got suspended for making a gun symbol with his fingers to another student? Does it really mean anything?

  11. 762x51 says:

    Sorry one other question.

“You’re just a MAN,” he stated coldly, zipping his trousers. “Not a king, nor a god.”=

I wonder if this is the same scott compton (age 43) that lives in Irmo, SC. It’s about 11 miles from Chapin.
His address (203 Hollenbeck Rd.) and phone number (if you want to call him, look it up) are right there in the white page listings. Easy to find.

Isn’t there something under the flag code about how the US flag must be treated?

Yea, and that so called “diploma” you hand out at your publik screwels is meaningless as well

Sounds like the kind of Liberal douche nozzle that will sue irregardless of whether he is fined, fired, or given a pay raise. Liberals can be nothing but miserable souls. Always wanting more, nothing is ever good enough.

  17. Alan says:

Since this is a free country, I suppose he/it does have a First Amendment right to do that.

Next up: stomping on a Koran, a flag of Saudi Arabia, a rainbow gay-rights flag, an Obama poster, or a photo of Hillary Clinton.

After all, they’re just symbols, pieces of cloth and paper. Right?

  18. C. S. P. Schofield says:

He is a teacher, and as such he is expected to represent the opinions of his employers, while he is at work.

I think one of the most telling things about the common or garden variety moon bat is that they often think that Scopes somehow WON the 1925 Dayton Monkey Trial. He didn’t. He lost. He lost again on appeal. And the Supreme Court declined to hear the case. Furthermore, his defense attorney EXPECTED him to lose. The whole point of the trial was to mock the law in question, but there was no question about Scopes’ guilt. He was a hireling. He had no more right to teach something other than what he had been hired to teach than a housepainter has to pain your house a color other than they one you selected. Which doesn’t prevent your neighbors mocking you if you had him paint it pink with purple trim.

Now, if the Moonbats would remember that even H. L. Mencken (who considered the natives of Tennessee unlettered hicks ) felt that Scopes was as guilty was a cat in a goldfish bowl, they might remember that following your conscience (or your thirst for self-aggrandizement) is suppose to have consequences. They would’t make asses of themselves by being outraged when some idiot outrages his employer and gets canned. They wouldn’t be outraged when protesters are jailed for breaking the law.

But they think that the law shouldn’t apply to them. Which is what makes them pond scum.

Not unlike the unrepetant terrorist bill ayers did in the portrait in the alley where he should be skeletonizing right now. Symbolisim has alot of power. Benghazi anyone?
Well, if nothing means anything, anything means nothing.

  22. Joe says:

I’d love to have my picture taken in that same alley, standing on bill ayers corpse.

    “This is is a symbol… It doesn’t mean anything…”

Yet leftists are positively awash in symbolism; from Hollywood elites, Dem apparatchiks to the ensconced academic dwellers.
