Seniors’ Tree Falls to War on Christmas

The most precious treasure seniors have is their memories. They can think fondly back to the days when this was still America, and liberalism hadn’t choked it to the point that people are not even allowed to have a Christmas tree due to our leftist ruling class’s hatred of God:

Residents in a Newhall [California] senior apartment complex are protesting an order from management to remove their beloved Christmas tree from the community room because, they were told, it’s a religious symbol.

As resident Edna Johnson explained,

“We could put out Easter baskets, have turkey for Thanksgiving but no tree for Christmas because it has Christ’s name in the beginning of Christmas.”

That makes anything that even reminds a moonbat of Christmas blasphemy against the one true god, politically correct authoritarian collectivism. I hope Edna makes the most of the Easter baskets before they are banned too.

Fumes resident Max Greenis,

“I’ve got grandkids and they come here and now they’ll ask, `Grandpa, where’s the Christmas tree?’ Then I’ll have to explain that someone said we couldn’t have one. What kind of message is that sending to the kids?”

In another generation, children will curl their noses at the sight of a Christmas tree — assuming they even know what one looks like. All they will know about Christmas trees is that evil capitalists made it be too hot out for the polar bears by cutting down the trees and putting toys under them that were stolen from poor orphans of color.

Yet another victim of liberalism triumphant.

And what is the harm, LIBERALS, of having a Christmas tree in a Seniors home.

Please come here and defend the actions of this company.

    Those are probably next

Stupid Liberals, Christmas Trees are a pagan thing, you should embrace them wholeheartedly!

  4. Jodie says:

    I agree with cowboy chris!

This Christmas tree thing is a conundrum for me, because I think people associate the Christmas trees with Santa Claus – not Jesus. I feel the same about the Easter Bunny. It doesn’t make people think of Jesus – WHO is the reason for Easter.

Not a legal schmegal but . . . “The seniors are residents/owners of the complex, not just their apartment. They have stake ownership, month-by-month, in the community room each time they pay the rent. The property is theirs, by rental contract and as majority stakeholders/shareholders/co-owners of the community room they can put up their tree. The ‘landlord’ may hire someone to run the community room but that person is really an employee of the residents who have bought and paid for ownership of it (albeit on a month-to-month basis). At least, that is the spin I would throw at the landlord. Precident shows ownership of rented space by limits imposed on landlorde for entering without permissions and also for “castle rights” Eviction can not happen until no longer ‘owned’ by resident/tenant, also. Probably naive…

I agree they would have a liberty interest in the common area, otherwise the complex could regulate any form of speech there as well, but you would have to check the complex’s by-laws. Landlord tenant laws usually protect tenants. Sounds like a constructive eviction. I suggest the residents sing carols every day through Christmas Day and hang crosses on their doors. People from their generation still remember those great songs. They can take away the pagan tree symbol, but never let the ungodly take Christ out of Christmas.

I wonder when the so called Christians are going to take a stand, and tell the liberals who want to impose their anti-Christian bigotry on them to F–k off! Either you are a Christian or you are not. I remember when as a grade schooler, at our Christmas show, we sang both secular and religous songs, and nobody complained about it.

MISCOMMUNICATIONAction Verb – I got caught and held responsible for doing something so outlandish and un-American that I will never hear the end of it, so I will blow it off and hope everyone forgets it ever happened.

The old farts better shut up – next year it will be mandatory they worship a statue of Zero.

  12. mojo says:

Defy the order. You’re not children, for heaven’s sake.

These seniors, and many of you, would appreciate this movie.

Sit down and watch it with your kids, or a senior, this Christmas.

The review below is all you need to know that it is a good movie.

  14. Dr. 9 says:

How could it be a religious symbol when the Godless cretins of the Left have decided a Christmas tree is simply a “holiday” tree? Are they saying they’re now against holidays?

Perhaps it’s time to revise the Knights Templar. Turning the other cheek is a bad policy when dealing with the Godless. They must be destroyed.

Christmas for them will be when they are able to harvest a few extra grasshoppers from the side of the road

There is no Christmas tree high enough to hang all the libs that need to be hanged!

  18. Big Stupid says:

How much does this suck? Missing is the fact that Newhall is also the former home of Gene Autry’s Melody Ranch. In the hometown of the singing cowboy who sang about God and Christmas no less. I’m glad he’s not around to see this.

Below is Gene Autry’s Cowboy’s Code. Imagine if this were the law of the land.
    Gene Autry’s Code of Honor

A cowboy never takes unfair advantage – even of an enemy.

A cowboy never betrays a trust. He never goes back on his word.

A cowboy always tells the truth.

A cowboy is kind and gentle to small children, old folks, and animals.

A cowboy is free from racial and religious intolerances.

A cowboy is always helpful when someone is in trouble.

A cowboy is always a good worker.

A cowboy respects womanhood, his parents and his nation’s laws.

A cowboy is clean about his person in thought, word, and deed.

    A cowboy is a Patriot.

  19. Joe says:

Put up the tree!!!!!!! Then take turns standing guard. If any heathen bastard tries to take it down, whack them with your cane. Come on, show some balls. I know you old farts got it in ya!!!!!

  20. Joe says:

I’m reminded of a time when I was young and recently engaged to my wife. She was singing in the church choir, and they were going to a nursing home to sing Christmas carols for the old folks. I went along just for the heck of it. I was sitting in the back of the room listening when there was some commotion between a couple of the elderly residents. Two old women were arguing about something. One of the ladies was in a wheelchair. The argument went on a couple minutes when the chairbound lady said loudly “If I could stand up, I’d kick your ass!” I just about lost it. I was laughing so hard I had to go outside to avoid disrupting the whole show. God bless the old people. They are great.

” WHO is the reason for Easter.”

Well it was named after the anglo-saxon goddess Eostre.

  22. Jodie says:

Have you ever actually thought about what it means that Jesus was resurrected? It means that he is alive and well and he come come and go as he pleases anywhere on Earth and in Heaven. You really should get to know him. 😉
