Show of Force in Houston

Miami isn’t alone. Our inscrutable federal overlords have also been playing terrifying war games in Houston:

With military helicopters flying above her southeast Houston neighborhood, Frances Jerrals didn’t know what to think.

“When you see this, you think the worst. When you hear this, you think the worst,” Jerrals said.

And so, she passed along her concern.

“She told me ‘don’t come home it sounds like we’re in a war zone. Guns, shooting, helicopters flying around the house,'” Isaac Robertson Jr. said.

The U.S. Army along with other agencies took over the old Carnegie Vanguard High School near Scott and Airport. There were armed men in fatigues, plenty of weapons and what many thought were real live rounds

“I felt like I was in a warzone.” Jerrals said. “It was nonstop. I was terrified.”

No public warning proceeded the drill, as if authorities did not want to mitigate an intended effect to intimidate or to desensitize.

Eventually we will get used to helicopter gunships and the sound of machine guns in our cities. Don’t worry; if you are a good citizen and turn in your firearms, they won’t be after you.

Houston: Home to war games.

Whew! It’s sure good to be down here, where it’s SAFE.

  3. John Lewis says:

His Foulness’s first term in office set the machinery of the police state in place. NOW is the time to bring it into play.

  4. Mr Evilwrench says:

I often wonder what havoc a 7.62×51 could wreak in the rotor mechanism.

There’s some really creepy stuff going down in the past few weeks.

    YouTube weapons expert murdered

Firearms manufacturer dies in car crash.

And just 3 days ago: Firearms expert recalls harrowing Saturday helicopter crash.

Then, we have Blackhawks firing machine guns over Miami.

    And now, Blackhawks over Houston…?

The government has become the enemy of the people. Arm up folks, this not going to end well…

  6. Ummah Gummah says:

Oh, the good old days when all you had to worry about was a mugging when you strolled your city streets!

Nowadays even the criminals are running scared..

  7. KHarn says:

It’s illegal to “stunt fly” over a populated area. The (Military and police) officers who agreed to do this should get a royal ass-reaming! Next time, let’a make the “exercise” more realistic by providing some partisan/guerilla solders to oppose the invadeing force.

  8. Doug says:

Let’s see them try in this in Montana or Idaho.

King Obama the Finks plans for MARTIAL LAW under the UN and the mexican dictator and himself

  10. Spider says:

Gee, if we didn’t know better, we might think they’re training for a take-over, especially when you remember the tens-of-Millions of Hollow-Point rounds they bought last year. Aww, but we know better, don’t we?

This is all happening right in front of the American sheeple, and they don’t have a clue.

  11. Skyfall says:

Again and again I tell my well-meaning but liberal friends “They mean you harm”.

These sleep-walkers just can NOT bring themselves to believe what’s in front of their own eyes.

This was A SHOT ACROSS THE BOW, Goddamnit! (Sorry for the language but (a) I am pissed, and (b) I actually mean that literally…these vermin should be damned to hell by the Lord.)

They are saying in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS “We won, you lost, get over it…and if you don’t, you’ll be massacred by your own military.” They MEAN it, and this proves it. They’re desensitizing and threatening in one fell swoop.

…and now you know why 2 handguns at Sandy Hook morphed into “assault weapons that must be confiscated and outlawed”. They can’t have an armed populace shooting back at their expensive helicopters once the strafing begins.

“Please, for your own safety, get on the buses when instructed to do so. The re-location camp will provide temporary food and shelter. De-lousing showers are required…”

What bothers me is that there’s no one left from the Warsaw Ghetto to tell us how they did it.

  14. Skyfall says:

Highway, I had a relative with the ‘most exclusive tattoo in the world’. They’re gone now, but the lesson is clear and it doesn’t take much info:

Stand tall and don’t back down. The Jews went along with it until it was too late. That’s the only lesson we need to know. They’ll smear us as “extremist” and every other thing they can think of. Let ’em.

They may have the military, but we will never surrender. It’ll have to be house to house from Maine to California.

    Bring it on.

  15. Highway Hospital Student says:

In addition to these drills, I wonder if they’re not also figuring out how to line up 7 for street execution with one bullet.

  16. Highway Hospital Student says:

After the liberal’s gambit with Waco, there is no way that any military or paramilitary operation should be allowed near a major city.

Ah what the f. We’ll take it lying down just like Waco and Ruby Ridge.

  17. Eoin says:

As a Marine, I appreciate out boys getting good training, especially urban setting training as this is where warfare is increasingly waged.

What I don’t like are the police and “other agencies” yet to be named participating in joint ops with the military. The military has a very distinct purpose: attack our nation’s enemies with extreme prejudice and destroy them by fire and maneuver.

That’s not the role of the police, and I don’t like them getting that notion, which they seem to like doing a lot these days. Lethal force executed by the military is offensive in nature. Lethal force afforded to the police by the public is defensive in nature for that officer to protect his life and the lives of others from imminent harm, nothing more.

  18. Mr Evilwrench says:

Oh hellz, they’ve ordered over a billion .40SW JHPs, plus truckloads of other things. Presumably they intend to use UMP40’s a lot. Looks like the order of arms for that is same as MP5 or other HK’s, so after I’ve picked up a few and cleaned the blood off, I’ll be able to teach my family and neighbors their use.

RE: Flu-Bird says at January 29, 2013 at 2:08 pm:

Flu Bird is back!!! Haven’t seen a Flu Bird or Spurwing Plover post in quite a while……

    ……………SQWAAAAAAAAWK, ya defiant ol’ shorebird!

Watch out for drones…….it’s gettin’ crowded up there.

  20. Mike T says:

Hey Tony, you can catch Spurwing Plover over at Angry White, he’s there all the time.

  21. M.Wilson says:

As I’ve stated before, I don’t mind training, but we have MOUT sites for a reason. If your unit wants to conduct urban training, then get clearance for a MOUT site or grab some plywood and go out into the woods to build your own and have half your guys take turns playing OPFOR. Don’t just go highjack some random street with no warning, that’s the kind of stunt that leads to friendly fire. If you want to play around in multi-story buildings, ask if you can borrow the fire department’s torch tower or something.

There is no legitimate reason to be using an inhabited city as a MOUT site, or to be using unsuspecting civilians as OPFOR.

  22. TED says:

“De-lousing showers are required…” Not showers, dis-robe and step into this warm oven…

  23. Skyfall says:

No no, Ted. FIRST the showers, THEN the oven…although after almost 70 years, I’m sure things have gone more hi-tech.

  24. Eoin says:

    @ M.Wilson:

Agreed. Every MOUT facility I trained at was in the sticks of Lejeune or 29 Stumps. Still in, or did you find yourself on the sequestration chopping block like I did?

  25. MissAnthropy says:

Yeah it’s training alright. Training to grind the heels of their boots into the citizen’s face.

Skyfall is exactly right. This administration always come out with some sort of in-your-face action, just flaunting their intent. So a week or so ago we hear an allegation from General Boykin that the military is imposing a new litmus test, next think you know we have these stunts being pulled over two major American cities.

The police and military personnel better damn well decide what side they want to be on. I’m losing a lot of respect for both.
