Starbucks Commercial Panders to Cross-Dressing Freakazoids

Evidence accrues that advertising is no longer intended primarily to sell products, but to shape our culture in advancement of the liberal agenda:

Starbucks is putting its support for the gay lifestyle into its marketing campaign with the release of an ad featuring drag queens.

“Well, here’s one place we certainly didn’t think we’d see the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Girls’ pop up,” James Nichols wrote in an article for the Huffington Post’s Gay Voices section.

The ad features two men dressed as women who were featured in Season Six of the television series “Drag Race,” Adore Delano and Bianca Del Rio.

There are far more normal people than there are freakazoids. Normal people are no less likely to drink coffee. But they ought to be less likely to drink it at Starbucks after being subjected to this:

It’s all part of the obnoxiously leftist corporate ideology that shapes the public image of Starbucks and many other companies in the Age of Hopey Change. Starbucks even helped file a brief in federal court attacking the until recently universal notion that marriages should involve a man and a woman.

“Starbucks has long been an ally to the queer community,” Nichols wrote in his piece accompanying the one-minute ad.

“Not only did the organization raise a Pride Flag over its Seattle headquarters earlier this year, but the company’s CEO famously told an anti-gay shareholder that he was free to ‘sell [his] shares of Starbucks and buy shares in another company’ if he had a problem with the company’s pro-gay values,” Nichols wrote.

A photo of that “Pride Flag” is featured on the Starbuck’s Pride Alliance Network’s Facebook page, which also has a link to the ad with the status: “We’ll be Coffee Frenemies with you Bianca and Adore!”

No thanks. Let’s just be plain old enemies, while I buy my coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts.

In the not-too-distant future, streaming video will dominate viewing, and there maybe a few local news outlets. This will open up an opportunity for producers of quality entertainment that viewers will have to pay for, but won’t have to sit through these obnoxious commercials. If commercials are to be part of the model, producers will have far more to say about the type of commercials that support their programming.

Starbux coffee is crap, and now they want to pander to the freaks of the world. Go ahead, your date in bankruptcy court won’t be far away.

    Such gross parodies of women…

Is that misogyny? I think it’s misogyny. If nothing else it would be entertaining to accuse those men of being misogynists for mocking women.

Nancy Verhelst in Belgium, was aghast after her surgery, saying she felt more like a “monster” than a man. She also spoke of her sad childhood, in which her mother rejected her in favor of her brothers, and isolated little Nancy in a room over the garage. Nancy was so distraught that she asked doctors to put her to death under Belgium’s lax euthanasia laws. They coldly complied.

Skrew Starbucks. I have gone there maybe three times in 10 years. I refuse to pay for overpriced coffee that I can make at home at a fraction of the cost.

In the meantime the CEO, who is Jewish, actually groveled to the filthy far-left anti-semitic boycott Israel degenerates. He is big and brave defending the perverted far-left gay agenda, less so in standing up for the only truly free and democratic nation in the Middle East!

    Screw Starbucks then!

It’s not coffee – it’s just brown hot water. Even Mcdonald’s standard black coffee is leagues ahead of anything I ever tasted from a Starbucks.

Brown hot water that was used to clean car tires. Good business model though – serve crap, charge more than the market price for it, and use Apple computers. How chic!

To me, even the decaf from Stbx tastes burnt. Overpriced, too. McD’s is $1 for all sizes, tastes good, and there are lot of McD’s around, so you don’t have to look too far. Also you don’t need to speak some special coffee-buying language to get it.

“Men” who dress up as such offensive, ugly parodies of women are as guilty of being politically incorrect as any minstrel sideman who ever put on blackface makeup in an offensive, ugly parody of African Americans.

Why are they not made to explain why they would do such an obnoxious, hate-filled thing? Any comic or entertainer who appeared in blackface makeup would be ostracized, never to work again.

As a woman I feel offended, mocked, and hurt. I demand JUSTICE! Hey its worth a try.

Good point. These freaks mock women as a whole and are treated like celebrities by many women trying to earn their ‘tolerance’ stripes. The fairer sex is often it’s own worst enemy.

  31. Starbucks actually does have some decent products, like the Frappachino, and their coffee is double-brewed, which makes it darn strong. However, I’m an ex-Starbucks guy for all the reasons mentioned in the article and in the comments. But if you really like coffee, a local coffeehouse is your best bet, and DD isn’t bad as far as chains go.
