Susan Collins Opposes Dream EPA Nominee Scott Pruitt

So far one of the very best things about Donald Trump has been the nomination of global warming skeptic Scott Pruitt to rein in the extremist and tyrannical EPA. Unsurprisingly, the supposedly Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine opposes the nomination:

The definitive back-stabbing RINO, Collins also opposed the nominations of Betsy DeVos and Andy Puzder.

Collins obstructs anything her fellow Republicans want to accomplish is so reliably that FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon has created a template for press releases:

Seriously, this stuff just writes itself. You fill in the blanks about her opposition to Scott Pruitt who is committed to reforming the EPA so that it does not continue strangling our economy. It’s the truth.

The template reads, “We’re shocked — absolutely shocked — that Sen. Collins would oppose a conservative [insert policy or nominee]. It’s a shame that Sen. Collins is once again aligning with herself far-left Democrats and special interests like [insert crazy liberal group(s)] to block a crucial [nominee/policy who/that] would accomplish conservatives’ dream of [action/result].”

Her antics would invite a primary challenge, but in New England, a Republican candidate who is actually right of center may not be electable.

Alaska is a different story. Lisa Murkowski, who also opposed DeVos and Puzder, and who libs hope will oppose Pruitt, ought to take note.

Collins in likeminded company.

After careful consideration, which took place sometime between 7:31 and 7:32 pm last night as I was getting my instructions from Chuck Schumer, I have decided to oppose the confirmation of Scott Pruitt.

Shocking that the resistance movement against conservatism has RNC types fully involved. Nest of vipers…

SHOCKING!!! The woman is such a stanch conservative.

Susan Collins only keeps getting elected because the GOP up here is a bunch of Establishment RINO types. The wealthy in Maine tend to be from Boston or other left-wing population centers; they’ve managed to gut our economy and ensure that the natives–who run very right-wing, in point of fact–are kept poor.

Once in a while, you get a truly good one–Gov. LePage, for instance, who’s been consistent in standing up to them, and he’s really popular as a result. But they’re hard to find.

We tend to send Collins to Washington because the GOP here refuses to run anyone who’s farther right, and the Dem candidate is usually way worse.

I think she should change that R after her name to a D and be done with it , already!

  10. SineWaveII says:

I think Trump should start making some trips to Maine. Arrange to have several events there over the next couple of years and each time bring local conservative political figures up on stage and make sure all of the people know who they are. Then we need to help them raise money and put together campaigns. Trump carried part of Maine. If he really focuses on the areas of his strongest support it’s possible we could primary that witch out of there.

  11. SineWaveII says:

    Trump could change that.

  12. OldSailor says:

She should just do all of us a favor and change her party affiliation, then the Dems can primary her and Trump can campaign for the Republican.

  13. Eddie_Valiant says:

Might as well, since her votes in the Senate align with the dems, so why count her as an R?

  14. Auburn Rapunzel says:

I am actually hoping to have a more local solution, to be frank. That would involve some radical changes to the government’s involvement with the economy, and a shift of influence from the coast to the inland and northern regions.

  15. Thomas Jefferson says:

If the GOP senate reelection group gives her a single dime towards her re-election would be a crime against us all, she is clearly a leftist bought and paid for, mascaraing as a repub… and we in flyover country need to make our small contributions to a Conservative that challenges her.. I am working class but I have and will send my 25 bucks to a real conservative in any state.. The last 3 cycles I donated 75 bucks to anyone who runs against MC Cain…for example. Furthermore Mrs. Sarah Palin needs to run against the worthless senator in AK… SARA, ARE YOU THERE, HELLO?

Collins is the poster child for the dirty 5th column Retardlican Progressives stinking up what used to be the GOP. We would be better off sending her to Afghanistan than Washington DC. At least there some hajji could dispose of her.

  19. 762x51 says:

Not if you recognize universities and public schools for the political indoctrination centers they really are.

  20. 762x51 says:

5th column Progressive RINO’s like McConnell and Paul RyanO do more damage behind the scenes than this toady does with her votes.

  21. Mr. Freemarket says:

Those indoctrination centers produce people who enslave themselves.
