Target’s Moonbattery Has Been Costing It a Fortune

The left-wing social engineers who run Target are discovering that moonbattery does not pay:

Target triggered a nationwide boycott last year with a single blog post

The blog post, published in April 2016, publicized a policy that said transgender customers were welcome to use the bathroom or fitting room that matched their gender identity.

That is, men were invited to use private facilities intended for women, as part of the progressive War on Reality.

The boycott cost the company millions in lost sales and added expenses. Shopper traffic and same-store sales started sliding for the first time in years after the blog post, and the company was forced to spend $20 million installing single-occupancy bathrooms in all its stores to give critics of the policy more privacy.

Critics of the policy said it opened the door for sexual predators to victimize women and children inside the retailer’s bathrooms, and more than 1.4 million people signed a pledge to stop shopping at Target unless it reversed the policy.

Sure enough, perverts have taken advantage of the policy.

Sales fell nearly 6% in the three quarters after the post compared with the same period last year, and same-store sales have dropped every quarter since the post.

Of course, the good guys get boycotted too. Whether those boycotts amount to more than a squirt of bat guano is another question.

Chick-fil-A, for example, faced a nationwide boycott in 2012 after Dan Cathy, the son of Chick-fil-A’s founder, S. Truett Cathy, set off a fury among supporters of equal rights for gay people when he told Baptist Press that the company was “guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of the family unit.”

“Equal rights” in the context of homosexuals means “special pandering.”

Reports then emerged detailing Chick-fil-A’s many charitable donations to organizations opposed to same-sex marriage.

Despite the backlash, Chick-fil-A’s sales increased 14% in 2012.

Readers are encouraged to celebrate this encouraging news by treating themselves to a tasty Chick-fil-A sandwich at the soonest opportunity.

As for Target, few companies more richly deserve a continuing boycott (see e.g. here, here, here, here, and here).

“If you’re an LGBT activist, there are two ways you can handle stuff like this: 1) Figure out why people feel this way, and try to make them see your side of things, or 2) Scream and yell that they’re bigots for spending their own money as they see fit.”

    I love it 🙂

They should have restrooms signs that say “penis” with a graphic representation and “vagina” similarly. I pictured a comedy routine where the maitre d’ approaches a couple outside the restrooms and asks “penis or vagina?” like they used to ask “smoking or non-smoking?” Maybe they’d have to show them off as validation. Could be quite a risque’ comedy bit.

BTW, the Emmys are in trouble for only having binary categories for applicants:
    http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/billions-star-asia-kate-dillon-emmy-awards-gender-nonbinary-1202023724/
“That the star would be a contender for the upcoming Emmy Awards is a given — but when Showtime asked which category Dillon wanted to be submitted under, Dillon had to give it some thought. The performer identifies as gender non-binary, and choosing between “supporting actor” and “supporting actress” sparked a conversation — as well as some homework.”

The Emmys could save themselves some time by having a third category for “mentally ill.”

  4. Mr. Freemarket says:

Back in the day, the usual advice was to avoid all public restrooms.

After a while, public restrooms became cleaner and better maintained.

However, the old advice seems to again apply…especially when visiting Target.

And since they are mentally ill (read: stark raving lunatics) the first option is out of the question…

  6. rpp618 says:

Better advice is to not visit Target.

Sure, they added the new bathrooms, but the changing rooms are still open to whoever. Perverts go in there and take pictures all the time.

Myself, I signed the pledge and quit shopping there. But the reason I did was because they shoved it in our faces. Same goes for Starbucks.
Plenty other places have similar social stances, but they don’t try to cram their views down our throats. Heck, if we stopped shopping at all the places that are on the SJW wagon train, we would be very restricted in our choices.

Now, as for Chick-fil-A? Some waffle fries sound really good right now. Thanks, Dave!

The difference between Walmart and Target?
The weirdos at Walmart hang outside the store. At Target, in the bathrooms and changing rooms.

  9. 762x51 says:

Option 3. They can STFU. Actually, this should be option 1.

  10. Mack says:

Poor customer service anyway, and poor credit card security.

  11. JackisBack says:

The Target icon looks like a butt-hole.
    Coincidence?
    I think not.
