“Teens” Run Riot at Oakland Carnival
If ever an incident was perfectly emblematic of our age:
A California carnival erupted into pandemonium over the weekend in Oakland after a mob of teens began attacking carnival workers and taking anything that wasn’t bolted down, making off with over $30,000 in merchandise.
Hundreds of teens began stealing prizes at the Butler Carnival Saturday night, climbing on kiosks and booths to grab whatever they wanted without repercussion with no police or security in sight.
Carnival workers say that some of their own were attacked in the incident.
Those who get their prizes by being entitled rather than by earning them don’t seem to value those prizes very highly:
According to KRON4, most of the stolen prizes were reportedly destroyed by the mob, scattering pieces in the fairground lot.
Two people were hospitalized. No arrests were made.

I was born and raised in Oakland in much happier times. I must say who the hell has a carnival in Oakland or even without security. It’s a liberal shithole.

When was that? I’m 63 and lived in Fremont my teen years and didn’t dare set foot in Oakland then.
So, carnies aren’t the tough guys we were led to believe.
