The Schooling of Piers Morgan

A British moonbat receives a lesson in Constitutional law from Carol Roth:

As has become increasingly obvious in recent years, those from whom we might need protection prominently include the federal government. This was the primary purpose of the Second Amendment, or as George Washington called it, “the people’s liberty’s teeth.”

For that matter, as El Rushbo observed, the 1A’s “free press” was not designed with mikes and cameras in mind, either.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have P. Morgan (and all the other bozo pretty faces) have to shout their BS to whatever audience they could find within 100 yards?

  2. Jodie says:

    Zing! LOVE IT!

  3. Sam says:

Why is that lefties always call for “reasonable restrictions” on Second Amendment rights, when they would squeal louder than Ned Beatty at “reasonable restrictions” on First Amendment rights.

After all, when the Bill of Rights was ratified, the Founding Fathers only had the printing press in mind.

  4. Comrade J says:

All your halfwit Marix-eology are pwned by us. Resistance is futile.

  5. MikNC says:

Sam, I don’t think that the left would have any problem at all with restrictions on the 1st Amendment either – so long as they got to determine the restrictions and those to whom they would apply. Think Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, you get the idea.

The Constitution also grants Congress the power to issue ‘letters of marque and reprisal.’ So, actually, the 2nd Amendment was written with privately owned WARSHIPS in mind.

  7. Tax Slave says:

How far would The Shot Heard ‘Round the World have been heard if the only rounds available to the otherwise law abiding British subject who fired it bounced off the British soldiers’ standard issue red coats?

The letters of marque and reprisal clause was in the main body of the Constitution, but the 2nd Amendment was part of the Bill of Rights controversially added AFTER ratification.

  8. Bo-Jangles says:

Why do we need some lame foreigner, on a dying network, telling us what our rights are or should be? Why doesn’t he do a show on why British males are all feminized pansys.

  9. Danne says:

SOOO, when are all the brave “he-men” gonna make a stand out there? Anyone care to offer up a boycott of the Nutbag Fuckup League? Come-on all you couch potato patriots….where do you stand……futball or 2A? Why so quiet out there? Where’s the all knowing maha Rushy, NFLs gameboy calling for action? BWHAHAHAHA. Pussies!

  10. Zim says:

The 2nd amendment is to limit government power.

  11. Ex-Pat says:

@Bo-Jangles, not all Ex-Pats are feminized, as an Ex-Pat and US Citizen from the UK, I have fully embraced the Bill of Rights/Constitution and the 2nd, given it was orginally based off of the British Bill of Rights. Piers is probally like me, when I moved here having been brain washed by the British Government/Media into believing that firearms have a mind of their own.

  12. WingMann says:

Piers “Pompous Ass” Morgan must not realize that when the 2nd Amendment was penned, muskets were the “assault weapon” of the day.

  13. Ummah Gummah says:

Piers M is an assault weapon agains LOGIC.

WHAT A DORKY NAME, Piers Morgan.. did he get beat up in public school..?

I know where I was in school he’d have gotten his share of abuse.

  14. Vermin says:

Heh. Pick up your teeth and go home Piers.

  15. StanInTexas says:

George Washington did not use his Right to Free Speech to defeat the British, he shot them.

Try to remember that, Mr. Morgan.

Private warships? Yeah; I want one of those.
Maybe with a few surface to surface rockets, too.

  17. Logic_Mine says:

    Touche’ Carol Roth!

  18. T says:

    excellent rebuttal.

  19. Steve B says:

That was the most eloquent smack down I’ve seen in weeks.

  20. Thomas says:

The First Amendment was devised with quills and parchment in mind, not Twitter and Jackasses with Cable Teevee Shows no-one watches. Fact.

  21. oldguy says:

This sissy Englishman is against the 2nd amendment because he understands how well it was used against his supposed greatest army in the world.

  22. anon says:

@Tax Slave: What you point out doesn’t change what I said. There’s no way around it: The Constitution and the Bill of Rights were written by people wholly conscious of, and comfortable with, the idea of privately owned cannon and warships.

  23. Cameraman says:

To Mr Morgan as Barrack would say..We won so STFU..I am tired of these Girly Men from Not So GB, telling us about our Constitution! GO HOME!
