Toy Gun Buyback Plan

No, this is not from the Onion. Hopefully the Onion knows enough to stay away from anti-gun hysteria, which cannot be parodied because moonbats have pushed it beyond parody:

A St. Louis pastor held a meeting at his church on Tuesday to talk with community leaders about a toy gun buyback program.

Pastor Rodney Francis said his plan is aimed at ending the “culture of violence.”

Next they will offer a buyback plan for Pop-Tarts nibbled into vague gun shapes. If it saves only one child’s life…

Rev Francis wants to do it for the children.

On a tip from Profiler.

We must do everything in our power to stop the millions and MILLIONS of children killed each day by toy guns. This scourge on humanity must end and it must end NOW. Give me hundreds of thousands of your dollars so that I can trade for these eeeeeeeeeee-vil weapons.

If it saves the life of just ONE child it will be worth…

  2. US Citizen (with some brain cells) says:

Did they double in value?… I’m sure the rubber tipped ammo tripled! These LOON’s need to be locked up in a padded cell. They are a danger to other people.

  3. Xavier says:

“It is painful to see this going on,” she said. “It is not the way it was 20, 30, or 40 years ago.”

And she’s right. Before, a pastor with advanced Senile Dementia would have been replaced before this type of buffoonery occurred.

  4. born in 76 says:

While our kids get suspended from school for eating food into gun-like shapes, Russian schools are….

We are so doomed as a society.

  8. sensible gun control says:

If conservatives are so concerned about black on black homicides, wouldn’t they agree that it would be a good idea to completely rid the black communities of firearms?

  9. gemalo says:

I’ll keep repeating this forever; Ann Coulter says, “We don’t have a gun problem, we have a demographic problem.” About the only thing Blueballs Bloomberg has done partly right is stop and frisk. THAT’S where the problem is; with a certain demographic.

    @ born in 76,

It’s a sad fact, but, as Trotsky said, “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.”

Just as stupid as getting people to exchange their guns for gift cards, food coupons, tickets, musical insterments or cash Just some other liberal pea-brain wanting to feel all warm and fuzzy inside He need excommunicated

  13. Tchhht!!! says:

So what happens when kids make gun shapes with their hands? I hate to think.

LMFAO! It sounds like something you would see on those birdcage linings at the grocery check out.

  15. Jeff says:

More proof that American culture and society has gone off the rails insane. Further more, adult leadership is missing. The above mentioned “Pastor” may have all the correct degrees and offical certified pieces of paper from the sundry academies of mental gymnastics BUT he is still a clueless fool. WTF! Given all the real problems we have; this idiot is worried about toy guns? Time for another stiff drink.

  16. StanInTexas says:

    sensible gun control,

Please tell us all your plan to “completely rid the black communities of firearms“.

  17. Chris in N.Va. says:

This former pastor will take a stab at a what a “holemetics” award might be — Perhaps something awarded for creating a “holy emetic” sermon?

Perhaps we could all chip in and buy back the FAKE toy guns from the right/wrong-Rev. with fake Monopoly money (a suitable substitute until our own currency approaches its coming state of total fake value).

    Just a thought…

  18. Pegon Zellschmidt says:

I’ll bet the women fell out of the pews rushing down to WalMart to shoplift loads of water guns.

  19. Reagan Conservative says:

“Reverend” Francis, why focus on toy guns which cause no harm, and yet no “buyback” program for the gangsta bruthas in your neighborhoods for their Glocks, AK’s and .45s, most of which are stolen? What ya think your homie bruthas will want for their guns, maybe yo nappy head? Get real!

  20. Joe says:

nonsensical gun control says: “completely rid the black communities of firearms“.

That’s a brilliant idea. Just ask the gang bangers to turn in their guns. I’m sure if you ask them nicely, they won’t blow your fool head off (and probably injure a few bystanders in the process).

  21. jarhead says:

    Is this STUPID? one guess!

  22. ent says:

Rather than buying back or boycotting toys, perhaps the pastor should organize a boycott of all the violent movies, violent television, violent video games, and especially, violent and depraved rap music & videos in which our culture is immersed?

No sane person can think that water guns, chewed-up pop-tarts, and scraps of paper are exerting more of a negative influence on our children (and adults) than these appalling entertainment venues that people spend hours a day imbibing. Seriously, no one can be that stupid, right?

  23. Jester says:

I’m all for banning real guns and toy guns…

…after all violent criminals suddenly cease to exist.

…after all Muslim terrorists suddenly cease to exist.

…after violent Leftists suddenly cease to exist.

…after veganism suddenly becomes a survivable diet.

  24. Garpin says:

So now, toy guns are what? Gateway guns? Next thing you know the kids will be running around with Thompson Sub-Machine guns.

How could someone who has made it his life’s work to honor and preach the Lord’s word be so incredibly stupid?

  25. Flu-Bird says:

This guy is just another liberal idiot looking to make headlines in some leftists news rag

  26. Flu-Bird says:

The name FRANCIS reminds me of those movies of the talking mule but the mules a lot more smarter then this bald little reptile

  27. Ian Random says:

Notice how they can’t make value judgements. It is always the instrument that is at fault, not the people.
