University of California, Berkeley Police Awaken From Slumber, Spring Into Action Against Hotdog Vendor

When Antifa thugs riot, vandalize, and beat suspected political opponents in the middle of the street in broad daylight, the police in Berkeley stand down, so as to save their energy for true threats to public order — like hotdog vendors:

A video showing a UC Berkeley bicycle officer citing a bacon hot dog vendor on campus and removing cash from his wallet for operating without a permit has gone viral.

In the video, taken by alumnus Martin Flores on Saturday afternoon, a UCPD officer is seen pulling cash out of the vendor’s wallet and folding it into his hand.

The vendor objects and stands by as the officer puts the money away and begins to write a citation.

In his response to the incident, U.C. Berkeley Vice Chancellor Scott Biddy vaguely linked hotdog vendors to human trafficking.

Anarchotyranny: no public order, but no shortage of police.

Anyone know what it takes to get a permit to sell food on the streets in Berkeley?

Of course this makes sense. California is a welfare state. Entrepreneurship and capitalism are bad and must be punished. If this guy cheated his way onto the welfare roll, her be a hero. The only people allowed to keep their money are the moonbats that support the welfare state bureaucrats. If silicone valley was filled with conservatives, California would have destroyed them already.

Are you sure the cop didn’t need a new pair of shoes so he seized the vendors money to help make that happen? Hey it IS Berzerkley!

How can anyone possibly support the state sanctioned theft and violence (and no action for real crimes) perpetrated by these thugs in blue. Bet those cops would all ditch those uniforms and badges in a civil war situation. They know they will be a preferred enemy target.
