Will Laura Ingraham Join a Circle of Sycophants?

A primary qualification for any position from the Trumpian point of view is unquestioning loyalty to the Orange Lord and Master, as we can see as he begins to assemble his inner circle. Despite promises to “drain the swamp,” damp establishment salamander Reince Priebus is collecting his 30 pieces of silver for suppressing attempts to stop Trump at the convention in the form of the Chief of Staff slot. Alt-right kingpin Steve Bannon, who used Breitbart News to hype Trump at the expense of more conservative candidates, gets to be the incoming Karl Rove/Valerie Jarrett/Grigori Rasputin — that is, “chief strategist and senior counselor.” Now cue the calliope music, because in come the clowns:

Laura Ingraham is under serious consideration to be Donald Trump’s White House press secretary, according to two sources with direct knowledge.

Ingraham tends to be shrill and unpleasant, and doesn’t always come off as the sharpest tool in the shed. Yet she is highly qualified:

Trump appreciated Ingraham’s loyalty through the campaign. …

With the possible exceptions of Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter and Breitbart, no media figure or outlet did more to promote Trump’s candidacy than Ingraham.

She used her profile as a Fox News contributor, her nationally syndicated radio show and her website to advocate on his behalf.

Hannity has earned still higher honors, but Trump might have more use for him in his current position as chief pro-Trump spinner and propagandist.

As for Ann Coulter, rumors could not be confirmed that she will be set loose on the White House grounds to scare away intruders who try to climb over the fence.

If Ingraham gets the job, journalists will have no end of fun baiting someone so easily rattled. Winning them over to an extent was possible with a Tony Snow or Dana Perino, but not with Laura Ingraham. Watch her turn on the charm behind the scenes at her Fox News program Just In, which surprisingly lasted 3 weeks before getting canceled:

If she doesn’t get the position, it may go to Katrina Pierson, who was Trump’s national spokeswoman during the campaign. She too would be a highly entertaining choice.

One can cut the bitterness with a knife.

  2. daPenguin says:

How about el rushbo? He certainly carried enough water for Trump

  3. NotKennedy says:

TV may not be her element. The environment appears to be, in the words of liberal lexicon, toxic. Better that it ended sooner than later but I don’t know that I could have done any better, than she.

They should have auditioned Chris Plante, of WMAL. He’s in a league of his own and nearly as fun as El Rushbo.

  4. NotKennedy says:

That may depend on the frame of reference. Rush was down and hard on the hideous Clintons from the get-go. The objective was to avoid Hillary. The objective was met, despite Trump.

For the moment, Hillary remains his best recommendation. Priebus is a BAD omen, unclean and the antipathy of conservatism. Throw his ass under the bus at the earliest opportunity and make damned sure that he does not return to the RNC. Always look for the silver lining!!

Do you believe that the author’s belief that Ingraham is easily rattled and wholly unsuitable is the result of bitterness or an arsenal of evidence that is freely available on Youtube? Personally, I would go with the latter. Simply being a true, blue Trump fan does not mean that one is qualified to be an effective messenger.

This site is just another asshole “Never Trump” outlet. Say goodbye to open borders.

Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye

I just heard that Rudy Giuliani is being considered for Secretary if State. Why not John Bolton?

she is and has been them!

  10. 762x51 says:

You got a little foam on your lip there sonny.

  11. 762x51 says:

True, but you have to remember that to a Trumpanzee, anyone not loyal to the cult is an enemy. They demand 100%, lockstep compliance to their ideology, like any fascist Progressive.

  12. 762x51 says:

His qualifications don’t include cult loyalty.

  13. 762x51 says:

Qualification 1, loyalty to the cult of personalty. All else is negotiable. LMAO!

Standby for a four year parade of those who get “fired” for failing to show sufficient cult fealty and then watch as the winged Trumpanzee army descends on them after having rabidly defended them when they were cult approved. Hey, maybe they can do a weekly series on that theme.

Orange Obama’s narcissism makes half white Obama’s look controllable with medication.

    Buh bye

  16. Paolo Pagliaro says:

Wow, Trump is choosing people whom he trusts and who trust him – how bad!
Sorry, but this is lame and your accusation (or better, name calling) is simply unjust.

  17. Leonard Jones says:

It is now official. You Never Trump zealots are now living in the same
La La land with that paranoid delusional psychopath Glenn Beck! Every
conservative outside of your Bizarro World is thrilled by Trump’s picks.
Are you delusional pricks actively abetting Hillary’s attempt to bribe
electors? It sure fucking looks likes like it!

  18. grayjohn says:

It won’t matter who gets in, the bitching will be same. Bitterness thick as cream cheese.

To the victor go the spoils. Like it or not.

  20. Occam's Stubble says:

I thought Rudy was to be AG now that Krispy Kreme is out. Newt was to be at State but now it’s looking like Bolton.

  21. Wilberforce says:

    Whine more.

  22. TrojanMan says:

They will take that as a challenge.

  23. Occam's Stubble says:

With tender loving entreaties like that, It’s a wonder not more people are on the Trump train.

  24. Willard the Newt says:

So as not to ne outdone by the Cultural-Marxist Left, Conservative Inc. had to form a more hideous, repellent, movement who’s currently constituted by a collection of malcontents, misfits and philosophical losers — commonly known as the Never-Trumpers.
    Good job fellas!
BTW, Laura would make a fantastic press secretary, just as Trump is going to be a great president.

  25. ScarletPimpernel says:

I would prefer to see Ken Cuccinelli as AG.

  26. Jill says:

Do you believe the opposition to Obama for the past eight years was borne of bitterness?

  27. grayjohn says:

    I was bitter as hell.

  28. Jill says:

So was I. I recall that the left dismissed our concerns as ‘bitterness’ then. Hopefully that cycle will not repeat with Trump.

  29. Luna Mora says:

Amen . We love Donald Trump , Michael Pence , Laura Ingraham , Sean Hannity and the love list goes on and on and on !

  30. grayjohn says:

I am beyond caring what the left wants, thinks, feels, or does.
