Two Options for Home Invasions

So long as the Second Amendment survives the liberal onslaught, women home alone when their houses are invaded have two options. They can rely on the authorities and hope for the best:

…or they can rely on themselves:

If “feminist” liberals gave a flying damn about women, they would want them to be able to defend themselves. But their only genuine objective is to increase their power at the expense of individual liberty.

News Coverage and Justice in the Age of Obama

Say a vet who had been carrying a handgun for over 10 years without ever drawing it, having provided armed security both privately and as a federal officer, was attacked by two moonbats because they didn’t like the anti-Obama sticker on his truck. Say they ripped the knife off his belt and attempted to use it on him. Say they prevented him from getting in his truck and leaving, and one of them even threatened to shoot him and went to get a gun from his car. Say the vet held him at gunpoint until the police arrived. This is how the media would cover it:

Albuquerque police arrested 43-year-old Chris Williams after they say he held another man at gunpoint…

It all started when the 62-year-old victim saw a bumper sticker on Williams’ truck. He told police it said derogatory things about President Obama. He didn’t know Williams, but wanted to let him know that sticker offended him.

The aggressor — I mean, “victim” — was an Obamunist named Edward Rodriguez.

The victim told Williams he should be ashamed of himself. Williams told police he told the victim to get out of his face, but claims that the victim ignored him and the two began to argue.

It soon escalated to the victim ending up on his knees with his hands up, and Williams allegedly holding the gun to the back of the victim’s head.

APD officers got there just in time… and possible [sic] saved the man’s life.

Please. There is no reason to suggest anyone’s life was in danger but Williams’s. Note the third party has vanished from the story.

For holding off a politically correct assailant, Williams has been charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment — serious charges that could land him in prison and end his career.

Countermoonbats can draw two lessons: 1) there is always more to the story than what they tell you; and 2) the system is rigged against you.

Obama’s Popularity Already Tanking Before Second Term Begins

If you thought W’s popularity collapsed spectacularly in his second term, just wait for Obama’s. According to Gallup, his disapproval rate has gone up 5% just since Christmas.

The wheels were already coming off the Moonbat Messiah’s absurd Affirmative Action presidency even before his appalling reelection. Even if America has entered the same Democrat Death Spiral that guarantees the Party of Government perpetual rule in the places it has destroyed (Detroit, California), nothing the media can do will prevent Americans from coming to loathe the personification of their country’s liberalism-induced demise.

Looters Arrive in Newtown

All manner of creatures specialize in exploiting tragedy. Even after corpses have been pecked by vultures and gnawed by hyenas, insects burrow, chew, and grow fat.

Attorney Irving Pinsky is seeking $100 million in damages on behalf of his client, a survivor of the [Sandy Hook] shooting identified only as Jill Doe.

The girl was at the elementary school during the attack and heard everything including gunfire, screaming and conversations over the intercom, Pinsky wrote in his Thursday letter to the state claims commissioner.

He said the State Board of Education, Connecticut Department of Education and State Commissioner of Education failed to protect his client from “foreseeable harm” by not providing a safe setting, failing to determine whether the local Newtown Board of Education had provided a safe setting, and failing to require the school and the local board to make an emergency response plan.

To make room for their greed, trials lawyers throw every trace of shame overboard. You can expect further opportunistic looting to follow.

Pinsky: Down below the vultures and hyenas.

Moonbat Tech: Heating Buildings With Collectivist Ideology

Modern civilization cannot function without vast amounts of energy, yet all economically efficient means of creating energy are deemed politically incorrect by our left-wing ruling class. That leaves us with whimsical energy sources, like windmills and solar panels. The absurd and odious New York Times even suggests we use body warmth to heat buildings. Like all liberal energy proposals, it isn’t likely to work, but it helps moonbats feel smug about how moonbatty they are, which is all that matters in their snug alternative reality. Warning — the following contains high levels of nauseating collectivist ideology:

Part of the appeal of heating buildings with body heat is the delicious simplicity of finding a new way to use old technology (just pipes, pumps and water). Hands down, it’s my favorite form of renewable energy.

What could be cozier than keeping friends and strangers warm? Or knowing that by walking briskly or mousing around the shops, you’re stoking a furnace to heat someone’s chilly kitchen?

How about the reciprocity of a whole society, everyone keeping each other warm?

Widening their vision to embrace neighborhoods, engineers from Jernhusen, the [Swedish] state-owned railroad station developer, are hoping to find a way to capture excess body heat on a scale large enough to warm homes and office buildings in a perpetual cycle of mutual generosity. Heat generated by people at home at night would be piped to office buildings first thing in the morning, and then heat shed in the offices during the day would flow to the residences in the late afternoon. Nature is full of life-giving cycles; why not add this human one?

Having installed their mouthpiece Obama in the White House, these preposterous kooks control our energy policy.

Moonbats Object to Police Gun Range

Moonbats aren’t concerned with keeping children safe from violence. They are concerned with keeping them safe from anything regarded by the progressive intelligentsia as politically unclean. An example from the snooty, insufferably liberal Hamptons:

Youngsters at the Tuckahoe School in Southampton regularly hear gunfire from a Southampton Village police gun range directly across the street — and critics want the crackling volleys to cease.

While the range and school have co-existed for decades, the sound of bullets flying the week after the Sandy Hook massacre sent some residents over the edge. …

Someone even spray painted a large plywood sign at the site this week reading “Does a gun range belong here?”

It isn’t a matter of the noise per se.

[School-board member Harald] Steudte said the Connecticut shooting should prompt the cops to move their operation elsewhere completely. “I’m happy that the mayor had them stop shooting during school hours,” he said. “But at this point I think it should not be there at all.”

This is because according to the official narrative, Adam Lanza didn’t commit the atrocity in Newtown; guns did.

Reports a woman who lives near the range:

“My little girl asks me what that sound is. It’s hard to explain.”

Try this explanation: Good guys need to practice with their guns so they can shoot the bad guys before the bad guys hurt you.

Tuckahoe School was probably the last in the country a maniac would choose for a shooting spree. But liberal fools have been working to fix that.

New York Times Editorial Calls for Canceling the Constitution

Having managed to reelect Barack Hussein Obama despite his abysmal performance, the hard left “mainstream” media is beginning to feel free to take off the mask. Calls for jettisoning the Constitution that has held this country together for over two centuries are growing louder. From the vile yet extremely influential New York Times:

Our obsession with the Constitution has saddled us with a dysfunctional political system, kept us from debating the merits of divisive issues and inflamed our public discourse. Instead of arguing about what is to be done, we argue about what James Madison might have wanted done 225 years ago.

As someone who has taught constitutional law for almost 40 years, I am ashamed it took me so long to see how bizarre all this is. Imagine that after careful study a government official — say, the president or one of the party leaders in Congress — reaches a considered judgment that a particular course of action is best for the country. Suddenly, someone bursts into the room with new information: a group of white propertied men who have been dead for two centuries, knew nothing of our present situation, acted illegally under existing law and thought it was fine to own slaves might have disagreed with this course of action. Is it even remotely rational that the official should change his or her mind because of this divination?

The Constitution should go in the garbage because it was produced by “white propertied men.” This juvenile posturing passes for thought among the malicious vermin who constitute the liberal intelligentsia.

They have crippled Christianity, reengineered our demographics, and corroded our character to the point that we tolerate being ruled by people who despise our country. When the Constitution topples, there will be nothing left of the foundations of America. The path will be clear for progressives to create another of their nightmare utopias, as they did under Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot.

We need to stop thinking of liberals as debating opponents and acknowledge that they are an enemy committed to our annihilation and the eradication of everything an American holds dear.

Hell yes the MSM has an agenda.

Try reconciling this explicit 2008 promise:

…with this terrifying 2012 reality:

President Obama on Sunday said he would make gun control a priority in his new term, pledging to put his “full weight” behind passing new restrictions on firearms in 2013.

Shamelessly and disgustingly, he is exploiting the Newtown massacre to advance his authoritarian agenda. When British statists increased gun crime by doing the same following Dunblane, law-abiding subjects turned over their last line of defense without so much as a whimper.

“I’m going to be putting forward a package and I’m going to be putting my full weight behind it,” Obama said in an interview aired on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I’m going to be making an argument to the American people about why this is important and why we have to do everything we can to make sure that something like what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary does not happen again.”

I guess the Manchurian Moonbat has evolved again.

Anyone who respects the right to bear arms but supports socialists like Obama is a fool. They cannot enslave those they have not first disarmed.

Americans might not go down as quietly.

Petition the Debt Star on ObamaCare, Feinstein

Why shouldn’t our rulers share in the blessings they bestow upon us? Just as Obama et al. should be protected by gun-free zones, the entire nomenklatura deserves to be graced with ObamaCare. If you agree, you can sign the petition:

Mandatory Inclusion of All Politicians and Their Families in the Affordable Health Care Act Provisions

Congress has exempted itself from provisions of the Affordable Health Care Act. If the provisions of this act were designed to benefit the American people and mandatory participation is required of the ordinary public, politicians in Congress should not be exempt.

Speaking of petitions, here’s another good one:

Try Senator Dianne Feinstein in a Federal Court for Treason to the Constitution

The Constitution was written to restrain the government. No amendment is more important for this purpose than the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment was written so the power could be kept with the citizenry in the face of a tyrannical government. It was well understood the Constitution acknowledged certain rights that could not be limited by government.

Senator Dianne Feinstein has made it clear she does not believe in the Constitution or the inalienable rights of Americans to keep and bear arms. She is actively working to destroy the 2nd amendment with her 2013 assault weapons ban. For this reason we the people of the United States petition for her to be tried in Federal Court for treason to the Constitution.

White House petitions won’t sway our rulers, but at least we can put it on the record that what liberals are doing to our country is being done against our will.

Ed Schultz: Impose Socialism on Talk Radio

Despite overwhelmingly dominating the government, media, and education establishments, authoritarian collectivists must feel they are losing the war of ideas. Otherwise, why would Ed the Red Schultz call for silencing dissidents by imposing socialism on talk radio?

With liberals, everything always comes down to their insatiable lust to coerce.

George Orwell described the objective of oligarchical collectivism — or as it is currently known, liberalism — as “a boot stamping on a human face — forever.”

It never occurs to a liberal that it might end up being someone else’s foot in the boot, and their own face getting stamped on.

Moonbats React to Newtown With Crusade Against Toy Guns

What could be crazier than blaming guns for the Newtown massacre rather than the evil freak who pulled the trigger? How about blaming toy guns?

A crusade against toy guns that began in 1987 is being re-launched following the elementary school shooting in Connecticut that left dozens dead.

Santa Monica activist Jerry Rubin says a personalized merit award will be sent to children who write to him about why they don’t like playing with toy guns.

The point? To breed a generation of hamsters, terrified by the concept of self-defense, who will be even easier to victimize and thus easier to rule.

Children must be brainwashed to oppose the toy gun menace.

Lies Your History Teacher Told You

By reelecting Obama, the remnants of the USA rejected freedom in favor of Big Unions and even bigger government. But at least unions and a hypertrophied federal government have made things better for us in the past, by improving the lot of the working man and spending us out of the Great Depression, right? Wrong:

As George Santayana said,

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

It is hard to remember the past accurately when we are methodically lied to about it by people who want to relive it. Obamunism is a deliberate reenactment of the Great Depression, which was the Golden Age for the statist bureaucrats of the Democrat Party.

Insanity Is Unsustainable

Moonbats enjoy barking self-righteously about sustainability. Yet they seem to consider this sustainable:

In 11 different U.S. states, the number of government dependents exceeds the number of private sector workers. This list of states includes some of the biggest states in the country: California, New York, Illinois, Ohio, Maine, Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, New Mexico and Hawaii. It is interesting to note that seven of those states were won by Barack Obama on election night. In California, there are 139 “takers” for every 100 private sector workers. … If you can believe it, entitlements accounted for 62 percent of all federal spending in fiscal year 2012.

We are drowning in debt, and we are stealing more than a hundred million more dollars from future generations with each passing hour.

Entitlement spending is worse than waste. A dollar spent on green energy is more or less the same as a dollar used as fireplace kindling. But a dollar spent on welfare makes America $1 weaker by strengthening government dependency and the entitlement mentality at the expense of our most precious and nearly depleted national resource: character.

The only good thing about Obamunism is that nothing so morally and economically insane can possibly last. But the longer it drags on before the inevitable collapse, the harder we will hit the ground.
