Congresscritter Haley Stevens Goes Berserk on House Floor

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t the only freshman congresscritter to totally lose it on the House floor recently. Check out the demented tantrum Haley Stevens (D-MI) threw during the debate on the $zillion Wuhan coronavirus relief package:

Utterly insane.

This isn’t the first time Stevens has become unhinged in public:

Next time she wigs out, they ought to call security to drag her off to the nuthouse before she does something to cause harm, like vote.

Islam vs Social Distancing

Ever likely to make the world a worse place, Islam has done its part to spread the Wuhan coronavirus by inspiring videos encouraging Muslims to shake hands, share drinking bottles, et cetera during the pandemic. It also potentially spreads the virus by encouraging crowds to gather despite pleas for social distancing.

In Egypt:

A large crowd of people congregated on the streets of Alexandria, Egypt to protest against the coronavirus, shouting “Allahu Akbar” in a move that only increases the risk of spreading coronavirus.

The virus is sure to back down like a cringing dhimmi in the face of this show of defiance:

In India:

A video clip out of India shows Muslim women defying social distancing rules by gathering in groups in the street while claiming they are immune to coronavirus.

At least some of them keep their faces covered, even if for the wrong reason:

Meanwhile, the New York Times blames evangelical Christians for spreading COVID-19.

Canada: Great Time for a 50% Carbon Tax Increase

Spending $2.2 trillion, not all of it constructively, when we are already $26,606,000,000,000.00+ in debt may not be the ideal way to address the economic damage inflicted by the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, but at least it beats sticking another knife into the economy by jacking up a demented carbon tax by 50% at the worst possible time, as they are doing north of the border. Rebel News reports on what Justin Trudeau et al are inflicting on Canada:

On the positive side, now the whole planet will enjoy perfect weather, thanks to Canada preventing the climate from fluctuating with this economy-smothering tax.

Commuting in the City of Brotherly Love

If you need to drive through Philadelphia, be sure to go prepared:

In practice, “common sense gun control” means hood rats have guns but law-abiding citizens with a job to go to do not. That would be a problem, because the police can’t be everywhere.

New York Times Blames Christians for Coronavirus

Whoever they don’t like, that’s who is to blame for the Wuhan coronavirus. That’s why it is racist to blame the people who really are to blame, namely communists and bat-eaters in China. According to the New York Times, the fault lies with evangelical Christians.

The flagship publication of the liberal establishment has hit a new low by featuring an editorial by Katherine Stewart entitled, “The Road to Coronavirus Hell Was Paved by Evangelicals”:

Trump rose to power with the determined assistance of a movement that denies science, bashes government and prioritized loyalty over professional expertise. In the current crisis, we are all reaping what that movement has sown.

Wanting limited government like the Founding Fathers did is bad, but the first problem is denial of science — a bizarre accusation coming from an adherent to an ideology dictating that men can menstruate and that has subordinated science to global warming ideology.

The vast majority of scientific advancement has been achieved by Western Civilization, which has been Christian for the past 2,000 years. Yet according to liberal dogma, Christianity and science are polar opposites that cannot coexist. Therefore, Christians caused coronavirus to be a problem.

At least since the 19th century, when the proslavery theologian Robert Lewis Dabney attacked the physical sciences as “theories of unbelief,” hostility to science has characterized the more extreme forms of religious nationalism in the United States.

Note how subtly Stewart implies that Christianity is to blame not only for coronavirus but for slavery too. She even manages to drag nationalism into it.

Today, the hard core of climate deniers is concentrated among people who identify as religiously conservative Republicans.

A “climate denier” is someone who prefers objective reality to statist propaganda regarding the global warming hoax — a hoax that is accepted on faith by liberals as part of their religion.

The editorial then cherry picks examples of evangelicals encouraging Christians to keep coming to church. It does not mention the health bureaucrats who recently encouraged Chinese to gather in large numbers in NYC.

Here’s how we know Trump is in cahoots with malevolent evangelicals regarding COVID-19:

[N]one of the benign uses of religion in this time of crisis have [sic] anything to do with Mr. Trump’s expressed hope that the country would be “opened up and just raring to go by Easter.”

The lack of self-awareness that characterizes the bubble-dwelling progressive zealots of the MSM results in another astonishing display of hypocrisy:

Religious nationalism has brought to American politics the conviction that our political differences are a battle between absolute evil and absolute good.

Whereas no liberal would ever regard their opposition as absolutely evil — except of course when it comes to evangelical Christians who vote Republican.

Because Christians think in terms of good versus evil, they were slow to take the virus seriously. Christians “greeted the news of the coronavirus as an insult to their chosen leader.” They were slow to believe the hyperbole pushed by the media not because the media has consistently proven itself unreliable, or because the hyperbole really is hyperbole, but because they are Manichaean Christian Trump supporters. That’s how the virus spread.

Meanwhile, back in reality,

Since the start of the coronavirus crisis, Trump has repeatedly deferred to scientists, doctors and experts in the administration — particularly Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Debbie Birx, who feature in his daily press briefings.

Notably, scientists have confirmed that President Trump’s travel bans on China and Europe slowed and limited the spread of the disease in the United States. In Fauci’s case, he specifically urged the travel ban be imposed on Europe.

All of the Democratic candidates for president opposed those bans.

Former Vice President Joe Biden called the China ban “hysterical” and xenophobic, and panned the Europe ban after Trump announced it.

As for Christianity causing the virus to spread, refer to CBN News:

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine says the tenets of his faith have guided him through the coronavirus. DeWine is largely praised for recognizing the threat early. …

Before there were any known cases in the state, he shut down a big sports festival and then, after just three cases, he shut down the entire K-12 school system.

Says DeWine,

“We made those decisions based on science, based on what the best experts could tell us who really said, ‘Look, you got to have this social distancing and you’ve got to do it early because if you wait too long, it’s too late’.”

Here’s where Christianity fits in:

“My faith tells me that every life is precious, whether it’s the unborn, after it’s born, basically from conception to natural death and so this is a matter of life and death.”

That’s why he has taken such proactive measures to keep the virus from spreading.

Good thing DeWine is the Governor of Ohio, not Katherine Stewart, who would be too busy wallowing in bigotry to take constructive action.

Cuomo’s Prison Labor Hand Sanitizer Appears to Be a Ruse

Earlier this month, current Democrat darling Andrew Cuomo polished his leftist bona fides by proclaiming that under his command, the government would produce socialist hand sanitizer, produced by prison labor, the way the ChiComs would do it:

Cuomo said the “superior product” is not only cheaper than brands made by greedy commercial businesses but will be readily available to New York governments, the MTA, schools and even the prisons where it’s being made.

That will teach those capitalist “price gougers.”

As with most things Democrat, the government hand sanitizer appears to be fake.

Via Vice:

Cuomo claimed that the hand sanitizer would be produced by Corcraft, the public-facing brand name of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision’s Division of Industries. …

But according to a NYSDOCCS [New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision] spokesperson, the hand sanitizer itself is being produced by an outside vendor he would not name; the Great Meadow [Correctional] Facility is only bottling and labeling it. Neither NYSDOCCS nor the governor’s office would respond to repeated questions about why the state would need to use prison labor to bottle hand sanitizer, nor did the governor’s office respond to questions about Cuomo’s pitch that this was a cheaper, more effective option than buying bottled hand sanitizer outright.

Despite Democrats piously positioning themselves as the Party of Labor, prisoners who work extra hours to bottle sanitizer get paid at the same rate rather than overtime. They were promised $2/hour, but apparently are only being paid 64¢/hour.

Admittedly, that’s still a big improvement over the prison labor pay in China, which probably consists of not getting beaten to death so long as you work hard enough.

Bottom line: Cuomo’s government hand sanitizer appears to be a publicity stunt, staged by prison labor and financed by taxpayers.

MSM Journalist Gloats That USA Is “Sh*thole” Country Because of Coronavirus

Wuhan virus has provided an opportunity for the mainstream media to once again showcase its contempt for our country.

Julia Ioffe writes for GQ. She has previously written for a variety of liberal establishment bastions, including the Washington Post, the New York Times, the New Yorker, Bloomberg Businessweek, the New Republic, Politico, and the Atlantic. Here is how she portrays the spread of COVID-19 in the USA:

When journalists crow that the USA leads the world in COVID-19 cases, they ignore that China is a black box whose numbers cannot be trusted.

As noted at the Blaze,

Ioffe’s “sh*thole country” comment is in reference, of course, to a report from the Washington Post two years ago, which cited unnamed sources claiming that during a meeting about “immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries” President Donald Trump asked, “Why are we having all these people from sh*thole countries come here?”

Benny Johnson responded to Ioffe by noting that she is a “sh*thole person.”

The USA has fewer cases per capita than Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Iran, and South Korea, so those must be sh*thole countries too.

Molly Hemingway has more on the liberal media’s selective use of per capita data versus total numbers to support its pernicious narrative. She also provides some background on Ioffe:

Julia, you might recall, has had a rough couple of years, including tweeting her speculative fantasies about Trump involving incest, falling hard for debunked Russia collusion hoaxes, and being pretty sure she’d figured out an elaborate Russian plot regarding Hunter Biden’s indiscretions.

But Ioffe is credible enough for GQ.

Not to be outdone, the Verge has renamed the Wuhan coronavirus as “the American virus.”

If they were on the payroll of the Chinese Communist Party, what would liberal journalists do differently?

Details of Joe Biden Sexual Assault Allegation

Unsurprisingly, given his infamous handsiness, #MeToo began to close in on Joe Biden a year ago. Now details are emerging regarding a sexual assault allegation:

Former Biden Senate staffer, Tara Reade, accused the former vice president of sexually inappropriate behavior when she worked for him back in 1993.

We already knew that her allegations include Biden’s trademark inappropriate touching (which he applies even to himself), comments on the shapeliness of her legs, and damage to her career resulting from resistance to his advances.

Now she gives sordid details in an interview with Katie Halper that is available on SoundCloud:

Newsone.com summarizes Reade’s description the incident:

“We were alone and it was the strangest thing,” she said. “There was no like exchange really. He just had me up against the wall.” …

Reade says Biden’s “hands were on me and underneath my clothes.”

“He went down my skirt but then up inside it and he penetrated me with his fingers,” Reade emotionally continued.

She found the assault disturbing in the extreme.

“He was like my father’s age,” she said. “He was like this champion of women’s rights in my eyes and I couldn’t believe it was happening.”

This part really upset her:

“He took his finger. He just like pointed at me and said you’re nothing to me.”

There are no direct witnesses to the assault, but she is at least more credible than Christine Blasey Ford, for several reasons: (1) the allegations are not wildly out of character, like those made against Brett Kavanaugh; (2) Reade told people about the incident at the time; and (3) Reade has no political motive, being strongly opposed to Trump’s reelection.

We’ll see if the “Believe all women” motto applies to Reade, or if she gets the Juanita Broaddrick treatment.

Why New York Is US Epicenter of Coronavirus Pandemic

During the Wuhan virus crisis, New York’s authoritarian Governor Andrew Cuomo is emerging as a favorite among his fellow lefties. There is even talk of dumping the walking train wreck Joe Biden and installing Cuomo at the top of the ticket at the Democrat Convention. Cuomo explains why his state is the epicenter for the virus in the USA:

Cuomo said Wednesday that the state was getting hit hardest in the United States because of their welcoming spirit.

This comes from the guy who announced that those who support the Second Amendment, or who oppose abortion or sexual deviancy, “have no place in the state of New York.”

Here’s something that might have done more to accelerate the spread of COVID-19 than New York’s welcoming spirit:

Meanwhile, the moonbats running New York City have been closing down streets:

A small stretch of four streets will temporarily close to vehicular traffic as the city tests out a pilot program providing more social distancing space during the coronavirus pandemic.

Whether making it even harder to travel in the privacy of your car will enhance social distancing is doubtful. Most likely, they just want to seize on this pretext to advance their agenda. That agenda entails fewer cars and more crowding.

Cuomo admits that the oppressive crowding that characterizes New York has contributed to the spread of the virus…

But he said that the greatest weakness of New Yorkers was also their greatest strength.

“Our closeness is what makes us special,” he said, noting that New Yorkers were more open, accepting and tolerant than the rest of the world.

Just don’t try walking down the street wearing a MAGA hat.

Here’s another factor that contributed more than welcoming spirit:

New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot posted a tweet on February 9 urging citizens to flock to Chinatown in large numbers to celebrate the lunar new year while suggesting that advice to avoid crowds was “misinformation.” …

On the same day, Mark D. Levine, Chair of New York City Council health committee, lauded how “huge crowds gathering in NYC’s Chinatown” was a “powerful show of defiance of #coronavirus scare,” tweeting four images of large groups of people gathered to celebrate the occasion.

Encourage large gatherings of Chinese — many of whom have presumably visited the homeland recently — in America’s largest city after a deadly virus has begun exploding out of China. What could go wrong?

If Dems manage to get Cuomo into the White House, we could have the same New York bureaucrats running the country.
