At this point in history, the greatest good an American could do would be to turn back moonbattery, the disgraceful disease that is snuffing out the last best hope. You can tell when moonbats feel threatened by the hyperbole with which they denounce their opponents via the subverted media. Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns just gave Ron DeSantis the ultimate endorsement:

Burns compared Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ education bill to the Soviet Union in an interview with CNN Tuesday.

The legislation, known as Florida House Bill 999, intends to defund all diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives at state colleges and ban critical race theory (CRT) and gender studies classes from the state curriculum. Burns said this move is “exclusionary” and “Soviet.”

Authoritarians don’t just sugarcoat with euphemisms. As Orwell famously illustrated, they call things the opposite of what they are. “Exclusionary” means “failing to discriminate against and demonize whites.” “Soviet” means hated by those who will never forgive Russia for rejecting a system similar to what they aspire to impose on the USA.

With a straight face, Burns declared that the Founding Fathers would not approve of DeSantis defending what is left of our country from the leftists who have been systematically destroying it so as to replace liberty with race-based neo-Marxism.

This isn’t the first time Burns has made a fool of himself while denouncing DeSantis from atop a soapbox provided by CNN:

Burns previously compared DeSantis’ relocation of voluntary migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, to the Holocaust in a Sept. 15 appearance on CNN.

The hypocrisy is staggering:

“This is what’s so disturbing about DeSantis, to use human beings, to weaponize human beings for a political purpose.”

The illegal aliens were imported by Burns’s fellow liberal elitists as a demographic weapon deployed for the political purpose of achieving single-party Democrat rule, as in white minority California. Yet it is genocide to send them to the liberal elite playpen Martha’s Vineyard, where the Moonbat Messiah himself has a mansion beside the supposedly rising sea. Despite pious sanctuary policies, the illegals were kicked off Martha’s Vineyard within 48 hours.

Burns unsurprisingly regards the release of January 6 footage that undermines the Democrat narrative to be, like DeSantis, “a huge threat to our republic”:

Along with everyone else on CNN, Burns flunks the laugh test. But he is to be thanked for reminding us how much liberals fear DeSantis.

‘We must ensure school systems are responsive to parents and to students, not partisan interest groups, and we must ensure that our institutions of higher learning are focused on academic excellence and the pursuit of truth, not the imposition of trendy ideology,’ he said.

DeSantis also insisted that Florida will remain ‘a great place to raise a family’.

That’s why so many escapees from Democrat-dominated states like New York head for the Sunshine State. As DeSantis puts it,

“States and cities governed by leftist politicians have seen crime skyrocket. They’ve seen their taxpayers abused, they’ve seen medical authoritarianism imposed, and they’ve seen American principles discarded. The woke agenda has caused millions of Americans to leave these jurisdictions for greener pastures.”

Like formerly purple Florida.

“Now, this great exodus of Americans, for those folks, Florida, for so many of them, has served as the promised land. We have embraced freedom. We have maintained law and order. We have protected the rights of parents. We have respected our taxpayers, and we reject woke ideology. We fight the woke in the legislature. We fight the woke in the schools. We fight the woke in the corporations. We will never, ever surrender to the woke mob. Florida is where woke goes to die.”

Echoing Churchill is appropriate. The modern Democratic Party and the radical ideology it seeks to impose represent an existential threat to our way of life.

DeSantis has appointed conservative activist Christopher Rufo and five others to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees in his continuing move to eliminate “political ideology” from public higher education.

With the six new members of the school’s Board of Trustees, the DeSantis administration plans to weed out concepts like diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and critical race theory (CRT).

The highly esteemed countermoonbat Rufo has made a name for himself by exposing the demented excesses of wokeism.

Defending the country’s borders is a federal responsibility. Yet even here, DeSantis leads:

In response to the Biden administration’s alleged inability to manage a record number of migrants attempting to cross the southern border into the U.S. and anticipating a wave of migrant arrivals, DeSantis authorized state agencies to take emergency response measures Jan. 6, according to the order. The governor also authorized the National Guard to deploy “as needed, to deal with this emergency,” given that “the migration of unauthorized aliens to the State of Florida is likely to constitute a major disaster.”

Give DeSantis the authority and he would promptly stop the massive invasion that Democrats hope will transform America into a Third World country more fit for them to rule.

DeSantis even takes on the massive power of woke corporations:

Disney World’s self-governing power in Florida could be replaced with a state-run board under radical plans backed by Governor Ron DeSantis.

The overhaul – part of an ongoing row between Disney and state officials which began over the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill – would also force the company to pay $700 million dollars in unsecured debt that might otherwise have been paid by taxpayers.

To challenge the Disney dragon in the state it dominates takes true guts.

DeSantis turned Florida from purple to red. He might do the same for the whole nation, provided patriots rally behind him.

Other winnable races were lost by Trump candidates Doug Mastriano (PA), Tudor Dixon (MI), Don Bolduc (NH), and John Gibbs (MI).

Trump candidates may yet lose winnable races in Arizona and Georgia. Governor Doug Ducey was reelected by 14 points in 2018 and might have won the Senate race here in Arizona by even more against the mollusk Mark Kelly, but he couldn’t run because Trump doesn’t like him. Georgia was stuck with Hershel Walker because “Trump helped clear the primary field and other candidates opted out.”

So far, the only high-profile Trump candidate to win is J.D. Vance. Trump boasted that Vance was “kissing my ass.” Vance won anyway, pulled across the finish line by a $32 million cash infusion from Mitch McConnell’s Senate Leadership Fund. Prior to this, Vance was trailing in red Ohio.

Many of his policies were great, and Trump displays an admirable willingness to push back against the liberal establishment. But people resent him for feeding his own ego at the expense of all other concerns. His appeal outside his base has evaporated. He is unelectable at the national level.

The best election news came from Florida. Just a few years ago, Ron DeSantis beat ultraleft degenerate Andrew Gillum by less than half a percentage point. Since then, he has turned the state deep red. He won by nearly 20 points, right after Trump denounced him as “Ron DeSanctimonious” and threatened to dish dirt on him.

DeSantis is no mealy-mouthed RINO but an esteemed countermoonbat. He takes the bull by the horns in the Culture War, transforming Florida into the place “where woke goes to die.”

Dan Henninger makes a gloomy prediction:

If Mr. Trump announces next week that he’s running again, the 2024 presidential election ends that day. It guarantees a wipeout for Republicans.

Yet there is hope. The site Election Betting Odds currently gives DeSantis a 38.6% chance of securing the nomination to Trump’s 36.2%, and the gap is widening.

Trump sabotaged the Georgia runoff in 2021 by blaming party leaders for not overturning the 2020 election results, actually urging Republicans not to vote. This allowed Democrats to take control of the Senate, then inflict $trillions of damage on the economy through wasteful spending and put leftist kook Ketanji Brown Jackson on the Supreme Court. Now he has tripped up the GOP in the midterms, sparing Democrats the stern rebuke they had coming. He is the Democratic Party’s most valuable asset.

The options are obvious. We can go with DeSantis and win, or we can go with Trump and lose.

Many of Florida’s Jews, especially those of us who are progressive, will understand and support the Museum of Jewish Heritage’s decision to block the visit of Mr. DeSantis. His recent legislation threatens gender nonconforming youth and seeks to ban the books that depict them.

The Holocaust was certainly horrific, but cannot compare to the genocide committed by communists, which dwarfs it in terms of the number of victims. This is welcome:

DeSantis announced Monday that he is signing legislation designating Nov. 7 as Victims of Communism Day in his state. …

“Honoring the people that have fallen victim to communist regimes and teaching our students about those atrocities is the best way to ensure that history does not repeat itself,” DeSantis said in a statement.

No one is likely to complain that DeSantis does not align with the values of those who oppose communism.

“So his vision is, just like in New York City, restaurants should ban young kids from being able to go in because they’re not eligible for vaccination, and law-abiding citizens have to produce proof of their medical records just to go to the gym, or attend an event, or just to participate in everyday society.

“He wants that, but yet if you want to vote, he thinks it’s too much of a burden to show a picture ID when you’re voting. So no voter ID, but have to show your medical papers just to be able to live an everyday life? Give me a break.”

It is a classic example of hypocrisy: Authoritarians incrementally impose vaccine passports even as they screech that voter ID is “racist” because it interferes with the election fraud that helped them take power.

Another classic example: Democrats inflict repressive restrictions in the name of Covid while leaving the border wide open to a massive invasion of illegal aliens, thousands of whom are infected with Covid.

DeSantis continues:

“So, why don’t you do your job? Why don’t you get this border secure? And until you do that, I don’t want to hear a blip about Covid from you.”

No wonder liberals hate DeSantis so much that 60 Minutes cashed in the last dregs of its credibility in an attempt to take him down.

The report went on to note the obvious, which is that such a policy is at cross-purposes with fighting the pandemic.

He will do this by holding the universities responsible for backing the loans rather than taxpayers.

DeSantis’ demands for university-backed student loans comes just hours after Biden cancelled another $4.8 billion of student debt – despite the Supreme Court having struck down his plan to cancel $400 billion in debt in June.

You can see why Biden has openly considered packing the Supreme Court so that it can no longer defend the country from his handlers. In the meantime, he ignores it repeatedly.

Biden’s headstrong push for the relief program coincides with the looming 2024 election and desire to get young voters on board.

As with the welfare state, the Party of Big Government is buying votes with other people’s money.

The tactic illustrates a fundamental principle: the bigger the government, the more corrupt. Gratifying as it would be to throw criminals like Joe Biden and Bob Menendez into prison where they belong, the only way to clean up the government is to reduce its size. DeSantis suspended her from office as state attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit for dereliction of duty and incompetence.

DeSantis said that Worrell, who was backed by a group tied to Democrat billionaire George Soros, has allowed murderers, other violent offenders, and dangerous drug traffickers to receive extremely reduced sentences and escape the full consequences of their criminal conduct.

Worrell responded as you might expect: by howling that DeSantis is a threat to Our Democracy.

She also screamed that DeSantis is a “dictator” and “evil.” Nothing sooths the soul like the impotent shrieking of thwarted moonbats.

DeSantis’s office listed numerous examples of Worrell unleashing havoc on Florida, including:

“Just this past weekend, Worrell was at the center of a major controversy. Daton Viel was arrested in March 2023 for sexual battery on a minor, as well as Lewd and Lascivious Molestation. That arrest was made while Viel was on probation for another offense – that probation began in February 2023. Viel was still let out on bond and thereafter shot two Orlando Police Officers.”

Moonbattery is not a victimless crime.

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District — which replaced the former Disney-run Reedy Creek district after the Mouse House contested DeSantis’ “Don’t Say Gay” law — said it would scrap its DEI committee and any job duties connected to it.

The clearly needed “Don’t Say Gay” law, as the media calls the Parental Rights in Education Act, requires teachers to wait until after third grade before indoctrinating Florida schoolchildren with LGBT propaganda.

The board also eliminated initiatives pushed by the former Disney-controlled board that awarded contracts based on goals of achieving racial or gender parity.

Glenton Gilzean, the district’s new administrator, a conservative African American and a former head of the Central Florida Urban League, called such initiatives “illegal and simply un-American.”

The event, titled “Pathway to Hockey Summit” is scheduled for on Feb. 2 during the 2023 All Star Festivities in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and seeks to help “diverse job seekers who are pursuing careers in hockey.”

According to the event description:

“Participants must be 18 years of age or older, based in the U.S., and identify as female, Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and/or a person with a disability.”

In a gesture of open-mindedness, veterans would be allowed. Otherwise, the sexually normal able-bodied white guys who typify hockey’s fan base were invited to stay out. Inclusion means you are excluded, unless you belong to an identity group courted by Democrats.

However, liberal intolerance no longer flies in Florida.

DeSantis press secretary Bryan Griffin:

“Discrimination of any sort is not welcome in the state of Florida, and we do not abide by the woke notion that discrimination should be overlooked if applied in a politically popular manner or against a politically unpopular demographic. We are fighting all discrimination in our schools and our workplaces, and we will fight it in publicly accessible places of meeting or activity.”

Griffin called upon the woke weenies running the NHL to “immediately remove and denounce the discriminatory prohibitions it has imposed on attendance to the 2023 ‘Pathway to Hockey’ summit.”

The NHL deleted the original LinkedIn posting and now says the event is open to everyone.

Anyone Democrats want to destroy supports “white supremacy,” just as anyone who resists the ham-fisted authoritarianism of the Party of Government is guilty of authoritarianism.

As for his “fair share,” Musk’s tax bill for 2021 comes to $11 billion, said to be the largest single-year tax bill ever for an individual. But he still has a shirt on his back, so he hasn’t paid his fair share.

In contrast, billionaire George Soros must have paid his fair share, because Democrats don’t complain about him, as he installs leftist DAs who have been turning American cities into combat zones.

Bowman added: “The GOP just tried to end democracy and now he’s supporting them.”

He must be referring to the GOP trying to end democracy through institutionalized election fraud. No wait, that was Democrats. Maybe it was the GOP conspiring to pack the Supreme Court, in effect abolishing it. No, Democrats again. Is Bowman referring to plans to abolish the Electoral College? That’s not it. It could only be the guy in the buffalo costume who supposedly almost overthrew the government after being allowed into the People’s House.

DeSantis praised Musk on Wednesday after the world’s richest person indicated on Twitter that he was “leaning” toward voting for the Republican if he ended up as the GOP nominee for president in 2024.

DeSantis held a news conference in the Sunshine State during which he declared that he welcomed support “from African-Americans.”

In other Jamaal Bowman news, the congresscritter yelps that there will be another civil war if Republicans take back Congress before Democrats are through destroying the country:

Bowman warned of a stark outcome if Republicans take back power in the November midterm elections — one that would “embolden” far-right extremists and white nationalists who he claims “have been pushing” for “civil war.”

He could be right about the potential for civil war. For Democrats to avoid a blowout will require election fraud so blatant that the media will not be able to cover it up. The political destabilization that began with Obama’s race-based community organizer tactics will reach a crisis point.

DeSantis announced on Wednesday that his administration is giving $1,000 bonuses to all of Florida’s 174,000 first responders, including law enforcement officers, paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and firefighters.

The move by DeSantis, a rising star in the Republican Party, comes after far-left Democrats across the U.S. repeatedly called for defunding the police last year, and have this year gone as far as to call for abolishing policing and ending the incarceration system in the United States.

If anyone deserves a bonus, it is police. Due to the propaganda war the mainstream media/Democratic Party axis of evil has been waging against them, they have been forced to deal with no end of crap, not to mention increased threat of death. No wonder there is already a shortage of police.

People will get sick of cities degenerating into jungles because the liberal ruling class sides with criminals against the police. They will get sick of repressive Covid restrictions that serve no sane purpose. They will get sick of taxes shooting through the stratosphere and their savings depleted by inflation so that vast fortunes can be shamelessly wasted. They will get sick of their children being indoctrinated to hate themselves for their race and to hate their country. They will get sick of Democrats and be ready for DeSantis.

There is no longer any standard of value in the MSM other than wokeness. This frees CBS’s odious 60 Minutes to reach new depths of mendaciousness as it kneecaps those seen as threats to the liberal establishment. Ron DeSantis scares these apparatchiks so much that they got carried away, causing even Democrat politicians to object.

The segment featured reporter Sharyn Alfonsi ambushing DeSantis at a press conference last month and aggressively questioning him using a misleading narrative…

Alfonsi tried to suggest that Publix, the largest grocery store chain in Florida, had engaged in pay to play by donating money to DeSantis’ campaign in exchange for being awarded a contract to distribute vaccines in the state.

DeSantis aptly responded to Alfonsi’s false accusations and laid them to rest. That part was left on the cutting room floor. Daily Wire has the full transcript, highlighting what CBS did not want us to hear. The selective editing takes lying by omission to a new extreme of deceptiveness.

Moskowitz isn’t alone. Dave Kerner, Democrat Mayor of Palm Beach County felted compelled to issue a statement:

The reporting was not just based on bad information — it was intentionally false. I know this because I offered to provide my insight into Palm Beach County’s vaccination efforts and 60 minutes declined. They know that the Governor came to Palm Beach County and met with me and the County Administrator and we asked to expand the state’s partnership with Publix to Palm Beach County. We also discussed our own local plans to expand mass vaccination centers throughout the county, which the Governor has been incredibly supportive. We asked and he delivered. They had that information, and they left it out because it kneecaps their narrative.

We have confronted this pandemic for over a year. Our residents, like all Americans, are tired. And the media is making it worse. They are hellbent on dividing us for cheap views and clicks. 60 Minutes should be ashamed.

Leftists have a big advantage in that they control the “mainstream” media. But like Joe Biden’s radical handlers, they are overplaying their hand. It has already become common knowledge that what we are presented with as “news” is liberal propaganda. As people begin to realize how shamelessly CBS et al. lie to us, the MSM will lose the last of its credibility. People will tune out their duckspeak and look for more reliable sources of information.
