Vintage Hate Hoax: Andrew Cuomo

This Vintage Hate Hoax originally appeared on Moonbattery June 19, 2020:

One way to create a hate hoax is to seize upon something innocuous, portray it as evidence of America’s racist iniquity, overreact hysterically, and publicize it to the best of your ability. If you are the Governor of New York, that ability is substantial. Please welcome Andrew Cuomo to the Hate Hoax List. Read more »

Andrew Cuomo Croons

Don’t feel too bad for New York’s fascistic Governor Andrew Cuomo if his political rivals succeed in prying him away from power. It will free him up to pursue a singing career.

His former aide Charlotte Bennett is among the many women who accuse him of sexual misconduct and want him impeached. She regards him as “a danger.” But Cuomo regards himself as a danger only to her heart. Listen as the Love Guv woos her by singing, “Do You Love Me?”

Andrew Cuomo Calls for Tighter Covid Tyranny

Even as Covid gradually wanes, death rates having flattened, leftists want to tighten tyranny in its name. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who killed thousands by forcing nursing homes to take in Covid patients, now calls for private businesses to require customers to be vaccinated:

“Private businesses, I am asking them, and suggesting to them, go to vaccine-only admission,” Cuomo told reporters. “Go to vaccine only admission.”

This would necessitate proof of vaccination to buy food; that is, a vaccine passport would serve the same purpose as the Mark of the Beast in Revelation 13:16–18.

As noted at Vlad Tepes, utilizing supposedly private businesses to impose government policy defines fascism.

For context, here’s what Cuomo said about his confidence in the vaccine before Biden’s handlers took power:

“I’m not that confident, but my opinion doesn’t matter. I don’t believe the American people are that confident. You’re going to say to the American people now, ‘here’s a vaccine, it was new, it was done quickly, but trust this federal administration and their health administration that it’s safe’? Uh, and um, and we’re not 100 percent sure of the consequences? I think it’s going to be a very skeptical American public about taking the vaccine and they should be!”

What the American public is even more skeptical about is the continued need for draconian measures when our ruling class appears to regard itself as immune:

Sounds like another super-spreader event, like we recently saw at the gay mecca Provincetown.

Nonetheless, Mark Dice confirms that many won’t mind if our overlords crank up the Covid tyranny even further by arresting and incarcerating those who won’t take an experimental vaccine that may not make sense for those who are young or who have already had the ChiCom virus:

Andrew Cuomo Still Sounds Like a Tyrant

Incredibly, Andrew Cuomo is still Governor of New York, despite having killed thousands by forcing nursing homes to accept Covid patients and then covering it up. He isn’t lightening up on the Covid tyranny either, even with the virus on the wane. Looks like he is on board with the Biden plan to send vaccine Strike Forces from door to door:

Andrew Cuomo Takes Charge of National Covid Meetings

As mentioned earlier, a leadership vacuum leaves bad people in charge. Since Biden’s handlers are too busy flinging our money to the four winds to provide leadership on the ChiCom virus, it has fallen to the last person on earth who should be trusted with it — a guy who crushed businesses with senseless lockdowns and infamously killed thousands of seniors by forcing nursing homes to accept Covid patients, then attempted to cover it up.

Via Breitbart:

Embattled New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) has reportedly taken over the leadership of the weekly White House conference calls with the nation’s governors about the coronavirus pandemic, since President Joe Biden does not join them.

The meeting would cut into Sleepy Joe’s nap time.

Kamala Harris would handle the task, but she is too busy dealing with the border crisis (just kidding).

Philip Wegmann of RealClearPolitics reported Monday that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have both opted not to join the weekly conference calls with governors, unlike former President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

Wegmann’s reporting was confirmed during Monday’s White House press briefing. Press Secretary Jen Psaki … insisted Biden had never intended to join the calls, despite his pledge a conference call with governors after the election in November that he would work closely with them once he took office.

Wegmann reports that Biden has not joined a single call.

Since Biden can’t be bothered with promises or responsibilities, Cuomo gets the job as head of the National Governors Association.

In New York, even Democrats want to be rid of the arrogant and incompetent Cuomo. An impeachment investigation is underway. If they manage to pry him out of power, he may fail upward into the Biden Administration, as fellow senior-slayer Rachel Levine did before him.

Andrew Cuomo’s COVID-19 Rap Video

Don’t be too hard on Andrew Cuomo. Yes, he killed thousands of people by forcing nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients while the USNS Comfort and Javits Center sat empty. Yes, he arguably committed obstruction of justice by hiding this information to escape prosecution. Yes, his administration apologized to Democrat pols who were hurt by this politically, rather than to the families of the many people needlessly killed. But in Cuomo’s favor, he produced this inspiring video to save black people from the virus:

Not everyone is appreciative. Some blacks are tired of being condescended to.

Andrew Cuomo’s Incompetence Killed More Than We Knew

There is a first time for everything; Andrew Cuomo has gotten something right. New York’s governor has been proclaiming recently that “incompetent government” is responsible for the high COVID-19 death toll in his state.

Honks Cuomo:

“Incompetent government kills people. More people died than needed to die in COVID. That’s the truth.”

What he gets wrong is his claim that it is someone else’s incompetence rather than his own.

While Cuomo was attempting to pin the blame on the Trump administration, his comment was quickly mocked on social media as many people pointed out that many of New York’s coronavirus-related deaths occurred after the state’s controversial March 2020 decision to issue a directive that required nursing homes to accept COVID-positive patients released from hospitals.

It was a bigger factor than we knew, thanks to Cuomo fudging the numbers:

New York Attorney General Letitia James released a report Thursday which found Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration had “undercounted” the number of coronavirus-related deaths in nursing homes by as much as 50 percent.

If even a leftist like Letitia James can find that much malfeasance, imagine what might be uncovered if disinterested investigators looked into Cuomo’s botched administration.

This won’t hurt Cuomo politically in deep blue New York. He is an icon among Democrats, so perfectly does he personify the party’s mentality with his trademark mixture of condescension, authoritarianism, and cluelessness. He effortlessly brushes off the thousands of people he killed by dismissing the story as a conspiracy theory.

Andrew Cuomo’s War on NYC Restaurants

Did authoritarian New York Governor Andrew Cuomo learn anything from the public relations train wreck in which he killed thousands of people by forcing nursing homes to accept COVID-19 patients? He did not, because the fawning media has insulated him from serious political repercussions. Now his victims are restaurants and the many people they employ, directly or indirectly.

Via Frontpage Mag:

By executive edict, Cuomo ordered the city’s restaurants, which were barely getting along as it was, to once again shut down their indoor dining services completely. Cuomo the grinch did so just in time for the holidays, when restaurants were hoping to make up for at least some of the revenue they have lost this year. By decimating the restaurant industry, Cuomo is also destroying the livelihoods of low and middle-income New Yorkers. For many restaurants, Cuomo’s draconian order is their death sentence. Restaurants are closing permanently in droves.

Democrat officials bark righteously about “following the data.” However,

Contact tracing data released by Cuomo proved how his exercise of raw power to shut down indoor restaurant dining lacked any justification rooted in genuine health concerns. Private household gatherings accounted for nearly 74 percent of the spread, based on statewide contact tracing data compiled from September through November. During this same period, when New York City’s restaurants were open for indoor service at 25 percent capacity, restaurants and bars accounted for merely 1.43 percent of the spread.

Cuomo’s reckless elimination of indoor restaurant dining will drive more New Yorkers to attend private household social gatherings during the holidays, exacerbating the worst source of the coronavirus spread.

Our progressive overlords have made it explicit that the objective regarding coronavirus is not to save lives. For some, tyranny is its own reward.

Why Andrew Cuomo Probably Won’t Be Attorney General

Considering his hostility to our most basic liberties, it is fortunate that Andrew Cuomo is unlikely to become US Attorney General, despite the rumors. The media will see to it that the sexual harassment allegations die of oxygen deprivation, just like the sexual assault accusations against Joe Biden. But it can’t sweep his entire professional record under the rug, which may be why Cuomo is shying away.

Writes Betsy McCaughey:

Cuomo’s constituents are bearing the brunt of his left-wing criminal justice policies that put repeat offenders back on the streets hours after their arrest with no bail required. That includes looters — but also shooters. New Yorkers are being terrorized by a huge increase in gun violence, mostly by repeat offenders who would be behind bars if Cuomo hadn’t kowtowed to the extreme left on bail “reform.” The toll: 1,756 dead or wounded so far this year in New York City, according to the NYPD.

Only Biden’s radical handlers would consider as top law enforcement officer a guy whose hand-picked parole board “released cop killer Perry Bellamy and convicted killer Samuel Ayala, guilty of raping and murdering two mothers in front of their kids.” They might as well give the job to George Gascon.

Cuomo has eagerly pandered to the violent Black Lives Matter mob by demonizing and bullying the police. Then there is the odor of corruption (although that certainly won’t bother Biden himself):

Cuomo ran for governor in 2010, promising to clean up Albany’s culture of corruption. Then he shut down the Moreland commission created for that very purpose.

Looks like he had good reason:

[S]everal of his closest aides have been convicted and sentenced to prison, notably Joseph Percoco. … And without tagging Cuomo’s fundraising as illegal — it’s not under the state’s lax laws — he’s been largely supported by donors doing business with the state.

Let’s hope Cuomo at least refrains from quid pro quos with communist China.

Cuomo’s unseemly skeeviness may explain the thousands he killed by forcing nursing homes to accept COVID-19 patients:

The hospital industry’s lobbying organization, the Greater New York Hospital Association, is a megadonor to the state Democratic Party’s housekeeping account, which helps elect Cuomo. GYNHA’s head, Ken Raske, is usually seated at the governor’s table at events. When GNYHA was called on for campaign cash in 2018, it came through with over $1 million. No wonder Cuomo’s Health Department does the hospital industry’s bidding.

Cuomo would fit right in with the Biden/Harris crew. But the Senate confirmation would be messy, especially if the runoffs turn out well in Georgia.

Andrew Cuomo Criminalizes Confederate Flag

New York’s authoritarian Governor Andrew Cuomo is said to be on Biden’s handlers’ shortlist for attorney general. To get an idea of what this would mean for the cause of keeping American liberty alive, consider that Cuomo just signed a bill into law that makes the Confederate flag illegal.

The Rebel Flag symbolizes the South. That’s why it was featured on the cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd albums and on the car driven by the Dukes of Hazard.

Liberals associate Southern culture with resistance to their agenda; therefore, the Confederate flag is now regarded as a “hate symbol.” It’s a Culture War issue.

From the New York Post:

The new law — effective immediately — prohibits the sale of hate symbols on public grounds including state and local fairs, and also severely limits their display unless deemed relevant to serving an educational or historical purpose.

Cuomo explicitly named the Confederate flag as his first example of a hate symbol, denouncing it as “abhorrent.”

A hate symbol is in effect any symbol that leftists hate. Old Glory herself might become a hate symbol, or at the very least the Betsy Ross version.

A more brazen violation of the spirit of the First Amendment would be difficult to imagine.

Cuomo said the rule likely needs “certain technical changes” so the Empire State doesn’t get caught treading upon free speech protections codified in the Constitution’s First Amendment.

Actually, what it needs is to be thrown out — or rather, any politician who would support such a law needs to be thrown out.

Andrew Cuomo Puts Screws to Police

Black Lives Matter riots don’t produce smoldering ruins of police stations like they did a few months ago, but the War on Cops continues, driven by pandering leftist politicians like New York Governor Andrew Cuomo:

Cuomo on Sunday said he is looking at closing a loophole that could allow a cop accused of misconduct in one police department to get a new job at a different department.

These days, you don’t have to look far to find leftist hooligans eager to make accusations of misconduct.

The governor, in a conference call with reporters, cited a report from the Times Union about an ex-cop in East Greenbush who was allowed to keep his law enforcement certification — even after being accused [of] making inappropriate sexual advances toward women he met while on-duty.

Matthew C. Wyld was suspended and then resigned, though he was never served with a formal notice of discipline. He applied for other law enforcement jobs, but didn’t get one and currently is “not in the police field.”

But this probably isn’t about Wyld. More likely, it is about pandering to the leftist mob as New York City degenerates into a violent hellscape.

If Democrats continue making life miserable for police, soon the only people who will to take the job will be goons like Dim from A Clockwork Orange. This will help prop up the liberal narrative, by resulting in incidents of police violence that will be blamed on “systemic racism.”

Andrew Cuomo From the Moonbat Point of View

New York Governor and COVID-19 tyrant Andrew Cuomo likely killed thousands by forcing nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients (while more appropriate facilities were available elsewhere). Yet he has been praised by the liberal establishment media for his ham-fisted handling of the virus. He was even awarded an Emmy for his ChiCom virus press briefings.

If you find this incomprehensible, it could be because you don’t see Cuomo from the progressive point of view. This video should help:

It must have come as a big relief to Randy Rainbow when Fredo got over his bout with Kung-Flu and stopped pretending to be cooped up in the basement.

Andrew Cuomo’s Threatening Diatribe Against Trump

Enraged by pressure from Trump on local politicians to restore law and order in “anarchist jurisdictions” like New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo jumped the shark:

“He better have an army if he thinks he’s gonna walk down the street in New York. New Yorkers don’t want to have anything to do with him,” the Democrat said…

Cuomo has already declared that people who are pro-life, who support the constitutional right of self-defense, or who don’t embrace the LGBT agenda are not welcome in his state. Now we see that not even the President is welcome — despite being a New Yorker.

“He can’t have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City, people don’t want to have anything to do with him.”

Three ways to interpret Cuomo’s remarks are: (1) he is threatening the President with violence, which is a violation of federal law; (2) he is encouraging maniacs to attempt an assassination; or (3) he admits that local authorities are so incapable of maintaining order in New York, they can’t even guarantee the President’s safety, though foreign countries around the world manage to do it.

None of these interpretations are flattering to Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo demonstrated how Democrats will bring the country together by denouncing the President as “a clown” and “a tabloid cartoon” whose sister is disgraced by him. Yet we are expected to hate Trump for being nasty and divisive.

The governor also claimed Trump’s “negligence” is the reason New York state suffered the highest COVID-19 death toll. The governor’s critics blame his Health Department’s mandate that forbade nursing homes from turning away COVID-19-positive patients, potentially leading to at least 6,500 deaths.

What Cuomo lacks in competence, he makes up for through projection.

Where Are They Now Featuring Chris Cuomo

If the show Where Are They Now is still on cable, it ought to devote an episode to Chris Cuomo, brother of former liberal heartthrob Andrew Cuomo and only recently the top propagandist at CNN.

By exploiting his position to defend the Love Gov from the Me Too attack that brought him down, Chris (aka “Fredo”) fell short of even CNN’s standards of journalistic integrity. Here’s what he is up to now:

Fredo’s political views ought to resonate with his teenage cohorts.

Rumor has it that Fredo has been propagandizing at NewsNation, although it is hard to find anyone who has actually seen him there.
