Stores have predictably become too dangerous to operate. Sixteen will close; more will no doubt follow.

CEO Howard Schultz blames politicians. As a Democrat donor, he is in no position to cast stones:

“I must say, in my view at the local, state and federal level, these governments across the country and leaders, mayors and governors, city councils have abdicated their responsibility in fighting crime and addressing mental health,” Schultz said in a video posted on Twitter.

The problem is specific to Democrat-governed localities. The store closures are in Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland, Philadelphia, and Washington.

All four states and the District are run by Democrats — Jay Inslee in Washington, Gavin Newsom in California, Kate Brown in Oregon, Tom Wolf in Pennsylvania, and Muriel Bowser in D.C.

Starbucks has made corporate policy of promoting Black Lives Matter moonbattery, and consequently does not deserve to partake of the blessings of law & order — that is, of civilization.

Cromwell glued his hand to the counter of a Starbucks in New York City on Tuesday in protest, saying the company charges more for plant-based milk alternatives.

Having imposed himself on the franchise along with other activists, he inflicted moonbattery on the customers.

He decried the practice of separating dairy cows from their calves and then taking the milk that would have gone to nourishing the newborns.

“Mother cows cry for their infants for days,” said Cromwell, who plays anti-capitalist Uncle Ewan Roy on the critically acclaimed “Succession.”

Cromwell doesn’t have the smarts to grasp that if we didn’t breed them for meat, milk, and leather, there wouldn’t be any cows. Brains are optional in Tinseltown.

Croaks Cromwell:

“These mothers must endure the loss a child over and over again. They suffer no less than human mothers would.”

This may be true if you compare cows to his fellow Hollyweirdos, who make a sacrament of killing their own offspring.

Cromwell is possibly best known for starring in Babe back in 1995. The kid-friendly comedy features farm animals with human attributes. Like many actors, he may fail to realize that real life is different from the movies.

It isn’t just the Democratic Party. Starbucks is also leaning on Facebook to impose more censorship on conservatives. The massive company is threatening to leave the platform if people don’t stop objecting to its moonbattery.

Anyone who voices disapproval of leftist stances commits hate speech, which Facebook has been under pressure to ban. Given Mark Zuckerberg’s leftist proclivities, they won’t have to twist his arm very hard. But here’s an extra twist, just to make sure he plays along:

“While some changes have been implemented, we believe more can be done to create welcoming and inclusive online communities,” Starbucks spokesperson Sanja Gould said in a statement to Buzzfeed. “We work collaboratively with all companies we do business with to ensure any advertising done on our behalf is in alignment with our brand standards.”

Among the reasons Starbucks is not always greeted with the fawning approval it demands are its pushy support for Black Lives Matter maniacs and its hostility to law enforcement. Police officers have repeatedly been made aware that they are not welcome at Starbucks, any more than criticism of Starbucks will be welcome on Facebook if Starbucks gets its way. If it doesn’t and makes good on its threat, it will be one of the largest companies to sever ties with Facebook.

Regarding Turtle Island,

Turtle Island is a name for Earth or North America, used by some Indigenous peoples, as well as by some Indigenous rights activists.

This confirms that leftists support the terrorists attempting to eradicate Jews from their homeland as part of an overall philosophy that everyone white or “white-adjacent” should be eradicated or at the very least confined to Europe, where they are getting swamped into extinction by an endless deluge of welfare colonists from the Middle East and Africa.

While the Christmas tree lightning ceremony was under attack, the police actually arrested someone for vandalizing the Starbucks. The only one arrested was Aly Youssef:

Whether Starbucks would cooperate to allow prosecution was unclear. Most likely, Youssef will go unpunished, with a feather in his/her/its cap to flaunt on social media.

Fortunately, we have taken steps to prevent that from happening here. The Biden Regime has declared war on light bulbs and ceiling fans.

On Thursday, David Blake of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, near Waukesha, joined tens of thousands of others at the Wisconsin State Fair, an annual event dating back all the way to 1851. While Blake was wandering about the bovine area, he saw a cow name that apparently stopped him dead in his tracks.

He took a picture of the nameplate, presumably to inspire a lynch mob on social media. It didn’t take long.

Vaun Mayes, who describes himself as “Milwaukee’s Malcolm X,” then shared the image on Facebook.

The Malcolm X wannabe accompanied the picture with the usual imperious crybullying. Hats off to him for managing to find some racist oppression, which isn’t easy these days.

The cow’s name was promptly changed to Puzzle on the official list of awardees. But that wasn’t enough. The offending cow was ejected from the fair.

A statement was issued to placate the mob:

“The exhibitor who showed this animal was part of our junior show and is also no longer at State Fair Park.”

Junior show. Looks like the cow-namer was a child.

That’s the slippery slope for you. Just the other day, they were canceling Robert E. Lee’s horse. Already they are going after kids and their cows.

The statement continued:

“We plan to review the entry process and discuss ways to prevent this type of situation in the future.”

Future cow names will probably have to pass political review. Good thing there are plenty of recent college graduates with expensive degrees in Victim Studies who are qualified not only to pour coffee at Starbucks but also to staff the Wisconsin State Fair Cow Name Monitoring Committee.

The Blaze does not dare publish the cow’s forbidden name, but hints that it is “Jigaboo.” Maybe the owner mixed up the word with “bug-a-boo,” like Robert Griffin III.

That’s why two branches of the Seattle Credit Union are closing:

Your personal safety, as well as your financial well-being and banking preferences, are important to us, representing the key variables in our decision,” a Dec. 30 email explained to customers.

Physical safety cannot be ensured in the aftermath of Black Lives Matter because in cities run by progressives, the police have been marginalized. The closures are due to frequent vandalism and break-ins.

In September, Bartell Drugs announced it was closing its Chinatown-International District location after relentless theft and vandalism.

Nor will they be the last.

Yellow Butterfly Coffee in Seattle’s Pioneer Square has dealt with ongoing issues. Its owner, Robert, recently dealt with a drug dealer who refused to leave and camped out in front of his storefront.

“He says, ‘I’m not moving, and I got guns.’ Today, the same guy, he threatens me with a gun,” Robert told the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH.

Robert had better get used to it. If liberalism prevails, only criminals have guns, because law-abiding citizens will be disarmed and local police will be out of sight and out of mind.

Other lowlights include $475 billion spent on interest on the debt because our rulers refuse to stop wasting money even faster than they can confiscate it. Over $31.5 million of Covid funds were spent on luxury cars.

Smaller items are comparably infuriating, considering that they add up to big numbers. For example,

The report found that the Department of Defense spent nearly $200,000 on espresso machines from Starbucks. “At least Americans can rest assured that our military personnel will be perky and energetic even as they pour American taxpayer dollars – and perhaps a few overpriced coffee grounds – down the drain,” it said.

The USA is under full scale invasion across the southern border. If the military is not going to put a stop to this, then it serves no other purpose than as a leftist social engineering laboratory and financial sinkhole, and should therefore be disbanded.
